Hmmm ASTA after some consideration and talking to Rilla, we both agree that your character is all wrong for this arena multiverse. But, since I have no desire to hear you argue, rant and threaten about your rights or some such regarding my role-play of which you are merely a participant. I will allow your character with the understanding that if you enter a thread and the person or persons in said thread decide that they don’t want to fight a mecha space cat with worm-hole generating crap they can inform you in the OOC that they won’t fight you. You cannot force a fight with anyone who doesn’t wish to fight you. If that is not good enough then I am sorry, you will have to move on and find your fighting fulfillment somewhere else.

Am I allowed to reject a proposed fight with characters equipped with outlandish and borderline-overpowered capabilities? Or is this restriction, of which is based solely on undisclosed issues and accusations of possible abuse on my behalf (which, frankly I'm still wholly ignorant of), only applicable to me and me only?

LOL Melon I had this same conversation with you when you started arena RPING and you basically told me to stuff it until Rilla told you it was ok to listen to me...Anyhoo, yes Rilla, Melon and a few others can in fact mediate since they know how I run and examine a fight and a character or character action in a fight. If you still feel that you cannot gain satisfaction I will be home tonight and be on tomorrow and resolve your issue.*** Addedum*** And LeeRoy you are aware that C4 is a shaped charge? Depending on the size of the charge it will make a nice hole, but if you want shrapnel you need to encase the charge in ball-bearings, nails or some such to use the explosive power to radiate death in the blast radius.

I seem like the sort of person one should listen to from the outset though.

Tests have proven, melons over skeletons, everytime.

Anyone can refuse to fight someone. I wouldn't expect many fights if you reject the few people willing to fight giant metal robot cats who can manipulate dimensions though.

The Shrapnel, Skallagrim, is the sword that is pinning it to the wall.

I'm going to do the sin of doubleposting, but I feel like making a question out of curiosity. When Khazna uses his flash point ability to run really really fast for a short distance; How does he slow down? Is it an instant stop? If so, wouldn't his low-durability ankles break horribly? That'd be all.

That's a good question. I have not thought about it much, since its something rarely explored by characters who use that power. But most likely a it exist in a state of suspended belief. That and his body has adapted to high speed movement.

Interesting. Your character must have a profound mastery over his motions, and probably has the ability to manipulate his own momentum/ inertia at will.

Hmm, that would be a good explanation of him being able to survive using flash-point. But beyond that, he can't do Flash like things. (like vibrate his molecules through a solid object) So I guess he's not a true speedster.

That doesn't mean they won't brutally murder you of course, if you do something ridiculously suicidal, such as LeeRoy teleporting into a ship full of enemies.

So long as these rules and regulations swing both ways, I have no issue with that particular (if rather unlikely) scenario.

Two posts, Khan. Two posts.

And if you do say, which I'm sure you will: "The sword dissipates."

There is, mind you, still a bench between us and the wall. And that's lower to the ground. And if that's the shrapnel, then it's gonna knock your feet right off at the ankle. Then of course there's still the powerful pressure wave and heat that you're going to have to deal with striking you on the back. Plus the multiple machines that are lining the walls, those could always be thrown around by the explosion. And if the C4 falls, when the sword dissipates, it would just mean that you're closer to the explosive.

I did say that I threw it in an arc over you, rather than at you. It's suspended on the wall at just above head height.

Don't forget that information.

For some reason, I now have mental images of people throwing absurd amounts of C4 at people in MW2 and MW3--and the complementary rage blared over the mic as well.

Two post if you count only mine.

You do know the difference between shrapnel and debris yes?

My posts don't count for things measured in your post count.

And of course I do, but shrapnel sounds better.

Shrapnel:
fragments of a bomb, shell, or other object thrown out by an explosion.

Debris:
scattered fragments, typically of something wrecked or destroyed.

And both apply to this particular situation.
