I thought in the OP it mentioned that players were able to summon minions and whatnot, as well as a 'general' or something.

Though, I believe it mentioned that these could only be engaged in certain IC circumstances.

Dire confrontation calls for dire measures, so it stands that a intermediate-high gunslinger will be as good at shooting down moving targets as an agile dodger would be at evading gunfire. Technically, duel-wielding is a Hollywood gimmick that really only exists for Rule-of-Cool and nothing else. In reality, it's highly ineffective to duel wield most weapons, even swords, for the simple fact that using your other hand and arm to handle your weapon allows you to swing harder and faster, block with a shield, fire more accurate shots, reload easier (and faster), handle the recoil of your G3A3's rather savage kick when on full automatic, and throw grenades.

In general, holding and/or manipulating your weapon with both hands affords more control.

I know that it's a gimmick, but you just dont need that extra control for firearm weapons when you can both deadlift several tons, having MUSELS OF STIL and use a recoil dampening mechanism for the gun, like in the AA-12 shotgun.

EDIT: but yeah, reloading will be slower and you wont be able to chuck a grenade in a blink of the eye, even with straps and holsters. Still, not much of a tradeoff for having yet another reason to stick an extra bullet in their gullet.

Unless you're using lightsabers, or some other weapon which requires little to no physical force what-so-ever.

I never had plans to use it in combat. If ever at all. I honestly just felt like fleshing the ship out because I like to have details on my CS. He has a ship, so I figured it deserved a little detail. Is that really so wrong? I was the one who put work into something that is unlikely to be used, not you. So why get all pissy with me? If it EVER comes into play, it will be S'kara glassing a region after a victory. Something about converting people to his death-cult.

As a player, you can summon/create in your faction any number of “Minion” class or “Zero Level” creatures. These are the very basic and lowest tier of summoned/faction creatures. They cannot be commanded by you in combat and can be only given a basic order i.e. “Attack or Defend me.”

Your opponent will dispatch minion class creatures as they see fit and it does not take away from their normal attack in the fight. They are cannon fodder and as such will be treated this way.

You can have up to four Low Tier Leaders in your faction who fall under the normal rules for combat. Your opponent can defeat them but they must make an attack action as if they were normal low-tiered characters. These Leaders command the Minions.

You can have a single Equal Tiered faction/summoned character known as the General. This character will be treated as a normal non-critical character and can be commanded by you, however they cannot be the killing blow against your opponent nor can they do more damage than you do in a fight. They are always secondary to the main character or leader of the faction.

Factions are nice, but they are backdrop characters and support for the main character which should be you, they are not relevant and are expected to die horrible deaths in the course of the role-play. Hence, their status as non-critical characters, they should never be the focus of your fights, and should never take precedence over two critical characters in a fight.

Generic Zero tier NPCs that are used to flesh out a post are moddable by anyone regardless of the author as long as they are not a summoned or faction NPC. Faction and summoned NPC’s have their own rules sets.

Generic Zero tier NPCs have no inherent value other than to create drama and excitement in a post. If you are unsure about using NPCs ask the poster who has inserted them, if they are nothing more than flavor text you are able to use them as well in any manner that advances your post and the overall story in the thread.
