What people forget is this isnt a dice game and stats mean very little. This is writing game and your actions written dicate what happens not an arbitrary plus or minus of numbers. If cant write it happening no amount of stats you point too will make it happen.

Numbers help for those nitpicky moments where someone says they can survive this number of things. But you can put out THIS number of things. And THIS number is bigger than this number.

The only real number that will often matter is the amount of prep behind an attack. :K

Cool, I've always wanted to fight General Freedom for some reason but never had a character who had any physical chance.

I wasn't saying I'm going to roll for shit, Skall. I was simply using the stats as a REFERENCE... as I stated more than once. Such as the "What about guns" and the "My armor is tough enough I can pretty much ignore bullets" thing that went on earlier.Indeed.So you're saying if someone has an attack that could take out a truck full of guys, but one guy in that truck has an ability that lets him absorb the force of a blast and send in back outward a few second later... and he can use that ability reflexively (as in WHEN shit happens)... that he can't use it to save himself or his pals?

Pretty much. While you may be able to absorb it, you'd have to prep for it. If I prep said attack for 3 turns and your absorb has no prep, then you'd take a good bit of that attack straight to damage.

You have made it a point to intentionally make it seem as though Sukoh will lose. This will not go how you expect it to, crabman!*Stands with one leg slightly higher up than the other with a cape limply flapping in the wind.*

Cute. No. If someone has ten turns of prep, and a character can still feasibly dodge or block... they dodge or block. If you and I were in a fight, for example... and you pulled back a bat to swing at me while standing around a corner... Say I couldn't see you, and I walked up and saw your shadow, but you heard my footsteps. You step out and swing it at me, but I knew you were there JUST before you attacked. Guess what... you could be standing there for an hour and it wouldn't matter. I would have just as much chance to dodge as you would to hit. Thus how logic works.
