Cute. No. If someone has ten turns of prep, and a character can still feasibly dodge or block... they dodge or block. If you and I were in a fight, for example... and you pulled back a bat to swing at me while standing around a corner... Say I couldn't see you, and I walked up and saw your shadow, but you heard my footsteps. You step out and swing it at me, but I knew you were there JUST before you attacked. Guess what... you could be standing there for an hour and it wouldn't matter. I would have just as much chance to dodge as you would to hit. Thus how logic works.

And that's how it work. If you block a prepped attack with unprepped defense, then some of the attack would go through. If you evade it then the prepped attack will miss and became wasted charge.

That's dodging.I didn't say anything about DODGING an attack. You said if he could absorb it, you didn't say if he could do a triple moonsault aerial, back handspring tuck mctwist dodge.I answered your question as to whether or not he could absorb it. In T1, your defense is based off preps in defense vs preps in offense.

How do you prep a defense against a prepared offense and expect the prepared defense to even hold out? The only way this would work is if you somehow metagame and magically get away with it.

Also, preparing a suitable defense doesn't make much sense in these cases, unless I'm missing something here.

Give me an example?

The real challenge is getting a hit with that charged up attack, to use maybe a bad example, imagine if Piccolo had missed with his special beam cannon. The fight would have ended badly for them right there.

And he did indeed need Goku to hold his brother still for him to power up his special sauce.

No, that's a good example.

Ok, and if you aimed with a pistol for ten rounds... against an all-enclosed tank with no viewports? Are you going to hit the pilot? No. Prep = shit vs a blatantly superior defensive tactic.

I like you even more now. And here I just liked your Taokaka at first.
Sorry for the double post. And now I am going to type up an IC post. I've let these squabbles distract me for long enough.

Anything can likely be taken as a defense.

If I was charging a earth attack and you were charging a fire attack at the same time, we both get to three, and you attack. I can use my earth attack to defend. With both o us having zero as a charge number following it.

Preps are usually more magic based. Holding a normal gun for ten rounds isn't going to charge it. Holding a gun that uses magic as its ammo and charging it for ten turns, however, will likely fuck that tank up.

But if you would like, you can wait until Skallagrim returns and let him explain it.

Pretty simple, when I see a guy making fire in his hands, I start to charge my magical shield. You can only interrupt charges with an attack, and you can't charge and attack with that charged attack in the same turn.

You couldn't really get away with interrupting their defense channeling with your 1 prep attack either, because they've had roughly a similar time to charge as you.

Also, defending is rarely as energy consuming as attacking, that's just the nature of attacking.

And against a foe who can simply fire off an attack with no visual preparation? Such as if a character simply builds up energy/ki/magic/etc internally for three posts, then attacks? What then? You HAVE to metagame to block it.

This may mean magic is inherently superior to technology when it comes to overall potency. Or is this wrong?

So obviously the entire system is flawed, then.

Lol.

Not really. Non-magical weapons have the advantage of not needing a charge to be of effect. With a normal gun, I can shoot you after pulling it out. That's an advantage. Magic, in some places and played at its strictest, you HAVE to charge for it to used.

Skallagrim can better explain it, since he's been using the system the longest.

And that's not metagaming. Just because you are charging, doesn't mean the other person also isn't charging. They can use what they charge to mitigate some of the damage, or outright negate it.

How big is her Dragon Form. Shoulder to ground, nose to tail?

About 30 foot shoulder height. ~240 feet from mouth to tail. But she's more lithe than most dragons her size and age, so size isn't exactly a good indicator of her strength in that sense.

My face when...

Alright. And what about techniques such as Talon's "Deep Cut" or "Grave Cut"? That are used after an attack already hits? How does one defend against those, Hmm?

I don't know the weight of a dragon that size?

Uhh... Taking into account scales, muscles... wings, that they have to be lighter in their bones. Hrm mm... Ahhh...

Maybe 10-11 tons?

On average, one cubic foot of muscle tissue weighs around 63 pounds. Do the math and then subtract about 50% for the fact that the creature in question doesn't take up the full 30x240ft area.
Did the math.

Factoring in that the body isn't 100% muscle, then adding in the weight for a skeleton of that relative size, then the thicker skin... it comes up to about 100 tons.

They'd simply have to find a way to stop you from executing them, they could for instance attack you while you're close with either a charged ability, if they have any - or a physical attack, if still able.

But that comes down to who you are facing, and their own abilities.
