| {Appearance} |Since being turned less than a year ago, Dee's aging has slowed, but she's dubious she'd look any different if she aged regularly. Her size is disproportionate to the sheer amount of energy she has, all contained in five feet and three inches of soft, small curves. Her skin is generally unmarked by scars or tattoos, except for the freckles that dot her cheeks. Her ears are pierced twice at the lobes and twice in the helix of her left ear. Her daily jewelry is very selective, diamond or pearl studs in her lobes, gold or black cuffs in her upper ear, and several rings given to her by her turner, enchanted and not. The most significant of her rings are on that helps protect her from the sun, one that curbs her blood cravings, and one that dulls all of her powers, but isn't strong enough to block her clairvoyance. There's always a mischievous glint in her dark eyes, and a ridiculously big grin on her face. Her face is framed by a dark halo of loose curls, which she normally wears naturally save for special occasions. Dee's clothing choices are a balance of fashionable and functional, closest to street style clothes.

| {Fears} |• Not being able to protect her family. They're all she has.
• Irrationally afraid of being buried alive
• Losing control to her powers or cravings and hurting people. Dee goes to great lengths to prevent any sort of rampage or lapse in judgement, such as wearing enchanted rings.
| {Secrets} |• Dee has yet to tell her family she has been turned, and much of what she's told them about her new life is falsified.
| {Abilities} |• Vampiric Boost - Dee, like other vampires, has supernatural strength, stamina, and agility, as well as having an accelerated healing rate.
• Empath - Since being turned, Dee has been able to pick up on the emotions of others, much easier than she had before. At times, she's even been able to influence them, but this occurs rarely and at random.
| {Limitations} |• Sunlight, stakes, vervain - Being a vampire, Dee is weakened by all that a vampire would be weakened by.
• Rings - Since Dee has been turned so recently, she must constantly wear her ring to prevent any rampage. The idea of losing control of herself and hurting innocent people, much less the people she loves, is terrifying to her. Her paranoia leads her to wear enchanted rings. It is likely that her rings greatly limit her potential, but she's too afraid to take them off.
| {Personality} |♦ Allocentric ♦ Escapist ♦ Outgoing ♦ Paranoid ♦
If Dee could make friends with everyone in the world, she would indubitably. Regardless of the impossibility of the task, she seems to try nevertheless. She's always willing to take her friends out to lunch, or to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. She wants to help everyone in any way that she can, as if she's trying to save the whole world one person at a time. Her persistent personality and social intuition makes it easy for her to connect with people from all circles of life.
Dee cares a lot, maybe even too much. Between working several jobs to help her mother keep her house, trying to hunt down her father's killer before they can return to NYC to finish off the rest of her family, and still trying to make friends and settle into Salem, Dee has had very little time for herself. She's barely had any time to adjust to her newfound supernatural identity, or pursue her dream of becoming an artist. Working herself so hard, she risks stretching herself too thin, but she rarely stops to think about her own needs.
| {Place of Origin} |New York City
| {Background} |Dee's parents' story sounds like something right out of a movie. Her mother had become a professor right out of schooling, working at a university in Salem. Her father, coming from a poor family, had turned to crime and violence as a means to survive. When Dee's parents met, it was more by accident than some destiny planned out by the universe. Her father had was being chased down by rival gang members, and had ducked into the mailroom of her mother's apartment to hide. What followed was an interaction more awkward than pleasant, but as the days passed, the pair found themselves running into each other more and more often. With the help of Dee's mother, her father turned his life around and fled the gang. The pair moved to New York to escape the years of violence Dee's father had roped himself into, and he eventually returned to school to become a doctor.
Four children later, Dee being the eldest, life seemed to be going steady for the Goldey's. Unfortunately, life has a terrible way of shaking up everything you know right as it all seems to settle into place. Since he'd fled his old gang, her father had been on their wanted list. When Dee and her family were out to dinner, their house had been broken into, and her father murdered. All that was left behind of the killers was a note promising they'd come back to finish the job. Dee quit her office job and tracked the killers back to Salem in a desperate attempt to save her family. She told them that she'd been transferred to another location, and within days she'd packed her bags and moved to Salem.
Realizing she had no chance of taking on notorious gang members on her own strength, Dee decided to be turned. Luckily, she was able to find a benevolent vampire, the only one who knows her true reason for coming to Salem. By the end of the week they'd made arrangements for her changing. Knowing there was no going back, but out of options to help her family, Dee took the bite. The next few days passed in a haze as she clung to life.
Currently, Dee juggles working ridiculous amounts of hours to send money back to her mother and trying to track down every gang member involved in her father's death. She hopes to become an artist at some point in her life, but in the past year has had barely any time to think about it.
