Interest Check, for a slightly more in-depth, but rambly section on expectations.
It's late November, 199X, in Nerima, Tokyo, and something strange is about to happen. To the sounds of chimes new and old, several youths are whisked away into another world. They are the Digidestined, their task, gather and form the Royal Knights of Legend and cement their prophecy into reality!
Intrigue! A mysterious figure monitors their progress from the shadows! Is this watcher friend or foe? How does he/she know of the fledgling Chosen Children? And what does this mean for the newly hatched Digimon who are soon to become their partners?
My goal here is to create a story that is entertaining through character dynamics, as much as, or more-so than, the action that occurs. Mainly I want this to be fun, but not overly goofy or childish or oversimplified. Entertain the intellectual(s) in us, as it were. And no, you aren't required to use or earn one of the Bandai established Royal Knights. Instead, the Mega-level Digimon that are earned in the RP will function as this Digital World's complete [or mostly complete] Royal Knights. That said, if you want to fill a certain typical role, such as the Gallantmon, then go for it.
So, regarding tone, I'm looking for something that mirrors the way the Digimon series(es) would venture towards the dire, and the trend for (most of) the later series to be more mature. I want to be as inclusive to players as possible, so those new to tabletop or new to Digimon are welcome.
If you're interested in using custom/fanmade Digimon, please use this form for each stage.
We will be using a branched format for Digivolution(s), much like the earlier video games, or the virtual pets. As with most things in tabletop RPG's, there are degrees of success, and your human character's personality and patterns of behavior, as well as the relationship between the Digimon and human, will determine subsequent forms.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to let me know. I'll get to the message in as much of a timely manner as I can, as I check guild more than once a day. But that doesn't mean I'm ignoring you if I don't answer ASAP. Sometimes I'm tired, or I forgot I read something and didn't reply.
