Max looks unimpressed. "At least I know that I'm a dick. Don't get your panties in a twist," she says to Devon. She waves a hand to dismiss Arthur and Jacob's worries. "No need for blacksmithing yet. I can take care of that wherever. I just need someone to get detailing work done, unless you want shitty arrows." She smirks at Arthur. "Oh, don't tell me you forgot about my 'fun party trick'."

I know I'm not a good person, but I don't try to hide that. That's all I meant." She turns away and leaves through the back door.

Adam laughs. "Of course," he says. He starts to lead them back to the house.
