[IC] A twist of Realms

Vex moved quickly to grab her bag and pulled open the door, moving to jump down the steps quickly after Mako.
"Ready!" She started, taking a swig from her bottle, she shook it and realized how low she was, she gave a small frown. "It'll sound dumb but I don't suppose you have some Coconut Water I can top my bottle up with?" She asked after a moment of twirling her bottle.

[Metatrooper]

As Vex arrived at the ground floor, she would see the armored Mako busy fishing for something inside one of the many wooden boxes. Mako then comes out of the box, now holding a modern assault rifle in his arms. He tucks the rifle into a holding chamber on his back before replying to the vampire girl."No, not at the moment. But if you really need it then we can make a stop before we leave town."

Vex's eyes watched the gun before she turned her attention towards Mako, "That would be fantastic." She started, "Unless it's going to be more problematic?" She asked, tilting her head as she took another sip of her bottle.

[Metatrooper]

Mako weighed his options for a moment before replying to Vex. "How important is your coconut water exactly?" he asked in his usual straight and no-nonsense tone.

"I use it to substitute blood." She started, "It's not as filling as blood, but I'd rather not risk relapsing, especially if you're the only one around." She looked to her bottle with a furrowed brow, "I have to drink it a lot more often than I would need to drink blood. A body of blood usually lasts a royal vampire- barring they don't go overboard with powers or anything- at least a week. Coconut water, if taken usually 3 times a day, will keep me going for as long as I need, my powers are... Slightly weakened but it shouldn't be a problem."

[Metatrooper]

"I see." was all Mako said before returning to his usual silent state. "You may purchase some before we leave. I'll be coming with you so the Hunters don't get suspicious." He walked over to the window and scanned the area outside for any conspicuous bystanders. "Where exactly do you plan to buy your coconut water?"

"There's a young Elf in the city who I get it through, he's not too far from here." Vex started, moving to pull out a small cellphone and typed in a code to unlock it before she flicked a text away.
It took a moment before the phone dinged as she got a text back. "He said he can meet us as we leave?" She asked Mako, glancing up to him with a slight raise of her eyebrow.

[Metatrooper]

"Very well, lead the way." he said as he nodded and opened the door. Hopefully the meet-up wouldn't result in an ambush, Mako wanted to leave the city as quickly as he could.

Vex smiled before she moved towards the door. She looked to Mako before she pushed open the door, walking out quietly before she pulled up her hood.
She looked around, scanning for any sight of hunters... She narrowed her eyes before she looked back to Mako.
"I can only assume that it's too early for most of the Hunters as well." She said with a chuckle before she started to walk off.

[Metatrooper]

Mako wasn't really a cheerful person, so even if he weren't wearing a helmet, Vex would see a face with no hint of emotion, just like his helmet. "Perhaps..." he replied to her comment. True, there didn't seem to be any hunters at the moment, but you could never be too sure. Locking the door behind him, the mercenary would follow the girl.

Vex looked over Mako for a moment, she wasn't a speaker, but that was okay. She continued off quickly, leading Mako along the edge of the city.
There was silence around this area, a few trees rustled in the wind before the sound of a male humming echoed through the air.

As the pair arrived at the city's edge, they waited for the elven contact to show up. Mako then heard the faint sound of humming in the distance and instinctively drew his pistol from his holster, but kept it concealed under his cloak. He walked slowly, being careful not to make any unnecessary noise while approaching the location where the sound was coming from. It was most probably the young elf who was supposed to meet them here, but it could just as easily be an ambush by the Hunters. Regardless, he stayed vigilant while he moved, and quietly made a hand signal to Vex, telling her to follow him.

The humming got louder as a blonde haired male walked around the corner, looking up and around when he almost bumped into Vex. Vex wasn't fast enough to follow Mako's orders, she stepped out of the way before the Elf blinked at her.
"Oh! Vexanne!" He started, Vex froze up as he mentioned her full name.
"H..Hey Phav!" She started with a weak smile, "I thought you'd end up being late as usual!"
"Sorry ahah." Phav moved to rub the back of his neck before he moved to put a hand towards his bag, "I have three large bottles of the coconut water in here for you, as promised. Did you want me to just add it to your tab?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

[Metatrooper]

The mercenary managed to sidestep the incoming elf as he appeared around the corner. The elf didn't seem to notice him, and was focused entirely on his conversation with Vex--or--Vexanne as the elf put it. Mako silently stood beside Vex as they talked, occasionally taking glances around the area to spot any suspicious characters that might be lurking around.

Vex gave a small glance to Mako as he managed to sidestep the Elf.
"Thank you Phav." She said with a nod, moving to open her bag and place it on the ground, moving her hands out to take the Coconut Water from the Elf.
The Elf only grinned in response before he glanced aside to Mako. He blinked as he looked the man over. "Is..." He started, "Are you captured by a hunter??" He asked suddenly, Vex started shaking her head.
"No no no no no. Don't freak out, he's a friend."

[Metatrooper]

Mako shot a glance at Vex when she called him a "friend" before turning back to face the elf. He said to the elf, in a cold, almost threatening manner: "I am her... ally as of now, but you will speak of this to no one."

Elf Elf blinked at Mako, expressionless at first before he grinned happily. "Of course~ Any Secret Ally of Vexanne is a Secret Ally of mine~" Phav said before he looked to Vex as she finished putting the bottles away and pulled her bag back to her shoulder. "I'll let you two be off~ Seeya~" He said before he adjusted his cap and walked off again, humming to himself.

Vex flinched at her full name being spoken again before she looked at Mako.
"He's a good kid. He won't tell anyone." She said before she started to walk off again. Despite each bottle of Coconut water being around 4l, Vex surprisingly carried the weight well on her shoulders.

[Metatrooper]

"I see." was all Mako said. Truth be told, he didn't like the kid, especially when he teased the two before leaving. Maybe it was just the elf's happy-go-lucky attitude that ticked him off, or because he thought that the kid didn't take any of this seriously enough. "Is there anything else you need before we leave?"

Vex shook her head at Mako's words, "No where else. I should be all good now." She said with a small smile. She moved her hands slightly from her bag before she moved to fix up her hair with a bit of a stretch. "Shall we get going then?" She asked with a tilt of her head.

[Metatrooper]

"Yes." he said before heading away from the town and beckoning Vex to follow him. "There's a small train station about half a kilometer from here, hopefully we can arrive there without any interruptions.
