"Hey, that's my reasonable excuse you're walking away with." Rex said, smoldering along behind them.

"Reasonable excuse for being late you mean?"

She laughed. "Whats your name...." she asks them both.

[Gentlemanvaultboy]

"Damn right." He replied. "I'm not gonna get stranded out here without at least an excuse the ply the hall cop. You met her yet? She's everywhere."

"The name's Rex." He said to her. "I'm what the school'ed call an at risk youth."

[Shadow Dragon]

"I'm Cleo."

[PrincessVampora]

She smiles. "You know this is a school for people with powers right?" she asks him.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Yes. That's why I'm here. So it doesn't happen again." The last words are barely legible.

[Gentlemanvaultboy]

"And here I thought the wild transformation things Cleo was doing was just the acid kicking in." Rex joked.

She laughed. "Well so your powers are.....?" she said pointing to Rex.

"Me?" he asked. "Yeah, okay, let me show ya."

He rolled up his sleeves and rubbed his hands together before concentrating. Slowly, from out of the skin of his forearms as odd, sickly green mist began to rise and coalesce into the shape of a creature. At first it seemed almost bird like. Even when bons began appearing in the fog this impression didn't change, but then muscles were filled in, veines, eyeballs, all filling in the missing parts of the creatures biology. A layer of skin was shrink wrapped to the thing, then dusted with a light coat of small feather like bristles. The thing wasn't even the size of a small cat, but as the mist dissipated its head suddenly snapped around as it surveyed its environment while standing on Rex's arm.



Good. He'd gotten a cute one. Normally he didn't like engaging with his powers unless necessary, but small kids and cute girls were the exception to the rule. The...whatever it was...starred curiously at the girl, then at Cleo, then back to the girl. As it switched between them he smiled and moved his arm up and down. The creatures body moved, but it managed to hold its head perfectly in place like a parrot.

"Boom. It's a dinosaur. I make dinosaurs."

She smiled and watched as the little dino formed "Killer." she said to him. "Can i pet it?" she asks him. She smiled as she slowly reached her hand out.

Jules walked out of the registration office with some soot on his face while looking thoroughly chastised. He noticed everyone clumped in the hall and walked over messing with his lighter. "Hi again cat who are these guys?" He asks

"Maybe?" he said, giving a shrug and holding it out to her. "These ones are usually chill cause they're so stupid."

The dinosaur, which was a compsognathus and definitely not stupid, watched warily as the girls hand approached. As it began opening its mouth Rex snapped his fingers. It turned to look at Rex, who gave it a look that perfectly communicated his intention to spike it like a football if it even thought about getting a taste. As it was turned she was able to brush her fingers along its neck. It turned back, but all fight had been menaced out it and it allowed itself to be treated like a cat.

She smiled and looked at the little thing. "Wow, Your so cute." she said as she gently ran her fingers along it, She some how found a spot it liked. She looked up. "Hay Juels. Some of the new kids...." she said to him with a smile. "Dont tell me you set something on fire again?" she asked him giving a little scratch to the dino and stopped.

Jules laughs a little " yeah I did I just couldn't help it the stack of papers on the secretary's desk was just so flammable looking and nice to meet you fellow freshman. " he said and pulled out a camera and snapped a picture of the dinosaur " this will be good for my application as a staff member for the school newspaper"

She smiles and giggles a bit. "They should have named you Pyro." she said to him. She was still developing her powers, as she had noticed she had quite a few of them. She smiled as she looked at him. "whats your first class?" she asked him.

Jules takes a couple more photos "I have gym first it's actually in a couple of minutes but once I get into the newsie crew that will take up gym and application of powers in a conflict"

She nods. "I think i should run an art column...." she said to him with a smile.

The crowd along the hallway had gone, and rightfully so, considering the time. However, as Angelica 'Four' rounded a corner, she picked up some voices, and a group of students up ahead. As any hall monitor would do at such a time, she walked right up to them and spoke up.

"Save the chit-chat for lunch hour, people. You're either in there," she pointed to the door of the administration office. "Or in class."

She did not recognize three out of four in the group, and acknowledged the one whom she did, raising an eyebrow at the lizard thing. "Tyran."

To the rest, whom she assumed were new students, she gave a formal smile. "Welcome to Oakport. If you have any doubts, feel free to approach me."

She then ended off with a few more words. "If there are none right now, then off you go. These hallways need to be clear."
