A few hours later, she can see a short, whistling man walking up the path to the house, dressed in black.

Mary paced and waited.

There's a knock on the door.

Mary answered the door.

The short man smiles broadly, and bows softly. "Ah! I was unaware that old Vin had a significant other! And who might you be, madam?" He's still standing on the doorstep, as he can't come in without permission.

"um, I am mary."
Mary did not recognize him.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Ah. Forgive me, I'm David. An old friend of Vin." He bows again. "May I enter?"

[Vampiretwilight]

Mary blinked but nodded.
"um, yes, you may."

[Shadow Dragon]

He chuckles softly, and walks inside. "Apologies, that must have seemed strange. Vampires can't enter a home without permission."

Mary shook her head.
"I knew that."

[Shadow Dragon]

"So Vin has told you about our kind?" He gives her a respectful distance.

"only what little he knows."
Mary told him.

"He knows a great deal.....but most of it is in folklore anyway." He shrugs. "Where is he?"

Mary pointed towards the bedroom he was in.

He nods softly, and walks into the room, tsxing softly to himself. "Vin, old boy. What've you done to yourself this time?"

Mary sighed. She had followed him.
"I am not sure what he did."

[Shadow Dragon]

Vinashy sighs. "Hello David." The other vampire smiles softly. "You dabbling in that strange book of yours again?"

Mary blinked and frowned.

Vinashy shakes his head. "Of course not. I wouldn't want to endanger her." David laughs softly. "My, how you've changed."
