[IC] A serious supernatural problem

He scoops her up in his arms, and smiles. "Bedtime." He walks off to the room he had given her, and gently sets her on the bed. "Sleep well Mary. I'll have food prepared for when you wake." He bows to her, and begins backing out of the room.

Mary blinked. But, she did not fight him. She closed her eyes again. She soon fell completely asleep after he placed her in the bed like that. She was out like a light.

He waves his hand, her blanket pulling itself up to her chin, and he softly closes the door, walking down to his library to read more on courting.

Mary was fast asleep. She snored softly. Things were quiet.

He finds a book about courting customs, and starts reading, occasionally glancing up at her door.

Mary continued to sleep, snoring softly. However, after a short time had passed, she began to toss and turn in her sleep.

He flows over to her room, silent, and watches her move around in her sleep.

Mary continued to toss and turn in her sleep. She looked unhappy.

He slips into her room, and begins softly singing in a old language, with a hint of magic to give her a restful sleep.

Mary mumbled, but the movements soon stopped.

He softly begins rubbing her back, working out the tight spots.

Mary suddenly opened her eyes.

He half pulls his hands away, mild concern on his face. "You ok?"

Mary blinked. She nodded, yawning.
"What are you doing?"

He smiles faintly. "Rubbing your back. You were writhing in your sleep, so I was trying to help you relax."

Mary nodded. She closed her eyes again.

He keeps working on her back, watching her.

mary soon fell back asleep.

When he finishes rubbing her back, he tucks her in.
