"What?" He sighs.

Mary looked worried.

He sits down, his head in his hands.

Mary hugged him.

[Shadow Dragon]

"I'm.....I'm scared." His voice shakes.

"of what?"
Mary frowned.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Of myself." He looks at her.

[Vampiretwilight]

Mary blinked and frowned, confused and worried.

"Am I too controlling? Too pushy? What else should I be doing?.....Are you safe here?"

Mary hugged him tight.
"Calm down please."

[Shadow Dragon]

He lets out a long, pent up breath, and rests his head on her shoulder.

Mary shed a tear.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Am I doing something wrong?" His voice cracks.

[Vampiretwilight]

"you're doing your best. That's all that matters."
Mary was honest.

He sighs. "But am I? Could I be doing something better?"

"can you quit doubting yourself?"
Mary frowned.

[Shadow Dragon]

He shrugs helplessly. "Last time I did, I grew overconfident, and it hurt a lot of people."

Mary's hug got tighter.

[Shadow Dragon]

"That's why I live alone. Or why I used to." He sighs, and gently kisses her cheek. "Thank you."

Mary returned the favor and faintly smiled a bit.
