Athelis chuckles. “Called it.” She smiles when he kisses her cheek and stands back and sets the food on the table: rabbit stew with vegetables. “Enjoy.”

Quinn smiles " thanks " he says and begins to eat a lot of the stew

Alex nods and does a small swing to test his reaction

Athelis smiles and nods and sits down, waiting until he’s gotten most of it to eat. She chuckles. “You really are hungry. Do you want me to make more?”

Quinn shakes his head " no don't worry this will be enough " he says and finishes eating

Athelis blushes faintly and clears her throat and continues to eat.

He parries with his shield, and brings his sword at Alex's ribs.

Quinn looks over after he puts his bowl away

Alex blocks the sword stroke and sidesteps away

He begins slowly but steadily advancing on him, spinning his sword.

Athelis blushes faintly as she continues eating. Every now and then she'd glance at him, redden, and swiftly return to her food.

Quinn scoots by her and hugs her " is there a reason you're looking like a tomato? "

Alex keeps in a defensive stance

He feints a sweep, switching it into a stab with a flick of his wrist.

Athelis stiffens slightly when he hugs her. "Yes."

Quinn smiles " mind telling me? "

Alex sidesteps and does a backhand slash

Athelis sighs. "Fine. I just... realized how similar we are to... a married couple," she blushes and looks away.

He lifts his shield, but collapses when the sword hits him, knocking him off balance. "Ow ow ow. Nice hit. Mmmmmm." He shakes his arm. "Uhg, my whole arm's gone numb."

Quinn nods" how so? Just because we live together ? "

Alex frowns " did I swing too hard? "

Athelis sighs. “Not just that... the way we behave towards each other. I was talking to one of the sailors, and he asked me... he asked me when our wedding was.”

Quinn nods" ahh ok well I think it's a good sign " he says hugging her " means we like each other

Athelis smiles and hugs him back. “I should’ve known you would be happy about this. I do like you, but it’s not just that. I love you.” She sighs and closes her eyes.
