Evvie spotted the puny, pathetic elf trying to hide from her so she sent her fire breath his way. She wasn't sure if he had personally killed anyone, but he certainly looked like it and was even more certainly a member of this elf army that was causing the problem. Therefore she didn't need to stop and question him; he didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt. Unlike the weaker elves, this one somehow managed to avoid damage from her fire without actually dodging it. He then rolled into view from behind her fire and threw something at her. She continued flying forward as she had been previously, but with her next flap accelerated to her maximum speed in order to avoid the attack as best as she was able. It ever so slightly grazed the left side of her abdomen just above where her bellybutton was. Blood droplets splattered down onto the road, but it was not a very large, especially for her, so the wound would soon stop flowing. She continued flapping forward, her feet landing on the roofing tiles of the building in front of her. Her head jerked around to see the ring blade that had wounded her, then her eyes flicked to the elf who had thrown it, then to the approaching elf, this movement of her eyes happening within the second. No problem; just these two elves. The other ones who she had attacked a little bit earlier were now all dead after engaging in a short lived combat with the five centaurs. Those five were now storming in to fight with the elf who had thrown the ring blade, battle cries bellowing from their throats. She didn't want to miss out on the battle and give them all the glory.

She breathed fire into her right hand, molding it into the shape of a two foot long sword. She squatted down, preparing to pounce on him and lash out with her sword towards his neck in a horizontal swing going from right to left, this being in conjunction with the centaur's own attacks.

“Eeny, meeny, moany, mite,
Frenzy, lather, boney, strike,
Scale, bit, slashed, neck,
Dragon, dragon, we, will, wack"

Dynoz grinned as he watched the ring blade sail through the air and for a brief moment thoughtthe blade struck clean and true, it made him grimace. The throught of the dragon falling so easily, only to have his spirits once again raise in elation as the dragon girl continued to move forward, the fight still in her.

“Oh glorious day…” murmured the elf as he twirled the daggers in his hands, his eyes narrowed as he tossed his head back and howled deep and long. A mournful howl, similar to that of a wolf on the hunt, indeed were not the elves hunting the smaller dragon like wolves on a hunt?

Then the giant dragon took wing, “Oh my pretty we shall find you soon enough. But for now the whelp will be our play thing…”

With a sudden burst of speed, Dynoz took off in a long, loping gait that easily ate the distance between them. His eyes focused on the form of Evvie, when a cadre of centaurs erupted before him. With a cackle he leaped and landed on the back of the last one.

“Thanks for the ride me boyo…I am afraid you must die now!” And with that the startled centaur felt the acid dagger slip between his ribs, burning everything, turning the flesh and organs into a bubbling sludge.

As the centuar stumbled and fell, Dynoz had lept off him, landing among the others who were stopping to kill him, as they did, he rolled and used the lighting dagger to shock one, causing it’s body to burn slightly but the bold and brave centaur simply toppled over as cardiopulmonary arrest happened to his heart.

One of the centaurs stabbed down at Dynoz who was cackling as he rolled away from the spear, rising into a crouch to face the three. Two carried spears and the third drawing a bow and aiming for the elf, evil intent in his eye.

Everything slowed down a moment as the centaurs prepared to strike, confidant they would win this encounter. Sadly they would regret that train of thought as the elf rose and darted forward, rolling between the spears thrust at him, coming under the belly of one who he gutted with a wicked slash along the exposed stomach, with a scream as the acid sliced him open the centaur stumbled. The internal organs fell with a sickening slurp on the ground where the elf had been.

With a squeal of delight, Dynoz shot forward and plunged both daggers into the body of the other spear wielding centaur, and with a thought made both daggers burn with intense flames. The scent of burning flesh filled the air as the scrams of the dying creature accompanied it.

Turning, both daggers afire, the elf licked his lips as his eyes locked on the centaur with a bow, a grin spread across his lips.

“I know wot yer thinking lad. You have a bow and a scant 20 feet between us. You think you can kill me before I can get to you. The question you have ta ask yerself is wot happens if you miss?”

The centaur faltered a moment, and that was all Dynoz needed as he hurled a flaming dagger, the centaur fired missing wide as he ducked the dagger, trying to draw another arrow. But it was too late as flaming spike ripped into his neck, nearly decapitating him.

As the creature fell, Dynoz grabbed his other dagger and whipped around, “Time for you lass…if Adinraen left anything for me to play with.”

The skies above had begun to darken as the clouds started to gather, allowing only a few rays of light to shine through. Three human warriors stalked toward the site of the massive scaled fight. In the aftermath of the titanic battle they had left the walls to investigate. They soon reached the resting place of Sukoh, but closer inspection revealed another prone figure. One of the humans walked forward, a stick in hand, and began to poke the giant unmoving form of Snarnorgul.

His companion’s eyes shot wide with worry at their companion's action. "Fatirc! Get away from there! We don't know if it's dead..."

The young man however ignored the advice and poked the body again...Nothing happened.

"I think they’re both dead..."

The other two looked at each other, the one who had spoken sighed slightly relieved. The other however was still doubtful and it showed. "We should make sure, we have enough problems from the elves as it is, now need to add giant..whatever that is into the mix as well.." He drew his short sword and walked over to the still seemingly dead Tanar'ri. He reached it's neck, pulling his sword back to stab it in the throat. A rain drop fell on his shoulder, and he flinched.

At that moment the Snarnorgul's blood red eyes shot open. The three humans jumped back in surprise mixed with panic. Snarnorgul's jaws snapped freeing it's devilishly long tongue to leap forth, coiling around the man’s arm, the hiss of acid burning flesh causing him to drop his sword. In the blink of an eye it retracted drawing him off his feet to a quick death within the snapping jaws of Snarnorgul. The two other humans were already ruining in fear followed by the death screams of their comrade.

With a rumbling growl the great Tanar'ri begun to rise, shoving aside the large corpse of his vanquished foe. Even as he did so his maw snapped down on the body caught in his powerful jaws. Consuming the dead human’s remains, Snarnorgul cast his eyes about. Noting the skirmish in the forest had all but ended, most of it moving into the town proper. The screams, shouting, and sounds of fighting within the town rose up like a choir, along with the steadily growing fire that was slowly consuming the houses within. Black smoke was rising into the sky like a dark beacon to the surrounding land. The smell of blood, ashes, mixed with the distinct scent of rain and moisture. A bloody smile graced his savage face as he laid witness to the carnage within. The promise of more carnage and death ahead gave Snarnorgul bliss high of joy.

Then suddenly the sound of beating wings from on high caught his attention and awoke him from his reverie. His heavy footfalls stored forward as he glimpsed the unmistakable form of a dragon descending toward him. His instincts then kicked in, as he bent his hock-joints preparing himself for any violence to come. Too his surprise or perhaps disappointment, the dragon landed a scant 40 feet or so away then seemed to regard him.

"Forgive me if my assumptions offend you, but your appearance and destructive nature indicate you side with these horrid elves," Vera stated, blowing a jet of flame from her nostrils, "I would so love to engage in a battle befitting of my own size and strength. The elves are cannon-fodder you see."

Snarnorgul only narrowed his eyes slightly and tilted his head as he considered the creature before him. Slightly taken aback by the somewhat cordial manner in which it addressed him. He shifted his weight in thought. His lower waist that held exposed scales still held marks from where the bear from before had bitten him, splintering his pelvis. Even now though mostly held still ached, thankfully most of the creatures bite had been caught upon his exoskeleton. Mobility was still quite hampered though, but at least he was not crippled.

After a moment Snarnorgul smile returned with an unmistakable gleam in his eyes as he responded telepathically into the dragons mind. "You seek a foe your equal? Then in this it seems you must seek elsewhere, for in Snarnorgul The Unassailable you will find yourself over matched lizard. Now begone or bow, for I have no time to waste with you like."

He stood proudly, blowing steam from his nostrils with a guttural growl, as he rotated his massive shoulders displaying all his spines and claws to give emphases to his warning. His mouth watering as he swished some unknown liquid about, which might have looked like more chewing. This was a rare warning indeed, perhaps seemingly uncharacteristic of the beast and he pondered it might be due to his present state. He quickly dashed such thoughts aside. He had been given the very clear goal of that which he had since completed. So even if this dragon was apparently at odds with the elvish forces, she had given him no reason to attack. Still his upper right pincer hung low to the ground near the foot of the bear’s right hind-leg, his other limbs posed ready to quickly strike or defend with his other massive limb hanging near his head.

Niks crept around the town, passing the ruins of a building that he was sure used to be an apothecary. He sighed at his misfortune of passing one that was not intact, the reagents within the building would surely be too damaged for its intended purpose. So far, he hadn't met any warrior involved in the skirmish, although judging by the sound, the skirmish was still ongoing. He briefly considered hunkering down in the ruins to hide while trying to salvage any reagents that he might be able to use. His curiosity got the better of him as he saw the dragon from earlier took flight from a spot nearby. There was still signs of combat, but with the dragon leaving it should mean that the fight there should be over soon and the warriors involved leaving the area, meaning the spot would be abandoned. Believing that he might find a safe area to hide for the moment, Niks headed to where the dragon flew from.

Crouching low, Dynoz was both surprised and elated that the little dragon girl had survived, sad though that Adinraen had fallen…or had he? Magic had a nasty way of surprising those unfamiliar with it. However, back to matters at hand, the girl, with a surprisingly large flaming sword was running at him, a blood-curdling scream emitting from her. Enthusiasm? Perhaps, more likely some battle cry that she believed would grant her further strength or possibly hide her fear?

No matter, the daggers both of them fire, when suddenly at the last moment one flicked out and reignited with a crystalline sheen across it. The deadly strike of the dragon girl arcing down in a horrible strike, aimed to cleave him in twin from head to groin…clearly not a skilled sword fighter, she probably just used brute strength to shove the hunk of metal around.

As the blade descended the elf known as Dynoz Tarr moved, launching himself to his right dipping his shoulder and rolling on it. Coming out of the roll as the blade, already committed by the attack of the dragon girl struck the ground. Unless the dragon girl had some kind of miracle like powers, she would not be able to avoid what happened next by virtue of her hasty actions.

Coming up out of the roll a scant 24 inches from where he was originally, the ice covered blade plunged deep into the back of the girl’s left leg, just above the knee with such force that it might puncture through just above the kneecap in a spray of blood and flesh.

The second blade, rising to shank the girl in the lower back, just above her pelvis on the left side, most likely puncturing the left kidney, some parts of the jejunum, and ileum as well, all the while the elf was cackling insanely.

Her fire blade swung through empty air now as the elf showed superhuman agility to be able to dodge her swing in such a short amount of time, catching her ever so slightly off guard. She gritted her teeth, eyes darting to her opponent's new position as he rolled around her left side and then out of sight behind her, all while her swing had been coming down upon him. The tip of her solid flame sword collided with the ground, scratching the stone tile and causing sparks to shoot upwards. He was fast, but she was she, so his gleeful cackling might just be counting his dragons before they hatched. All of the momentum she had to overcome was in her body rather then the virtually weightless sword, so as soon as her arms were done swinging downward she was able to begin her next move.

He was probably done with his roll by now and would be executing his next attack now. She had to react fast; either jump away to try or swing at him before he could both strike at her and escape out of range. Even though she was cocky she just witnessed how fast he had been so she knew she probably couldn't hit him before the attack came in at all, so that option was out of the question. With this split second decision it mostly came down to instinct, and her instinct often told her to attack and hope for the best rather then run away like a scaredy cat. She could regenerate and she had no reason to believe that he could, and her sword was bigger then his daggers, so if they were to exchange blows she figured she'd be on top in the end.

She lifted her blade and began to swing it to the left to try and chase the path he had traveled and hopefully catch him behind her with a horizontal slash at his hip level, which was a little higher then her's given their height difference. She was indeed fast, probably faster then her opponent expected, but apparently not fast enough to be able to twirl around all the way in time. She felt an icy, painful chill rip across the back of her left leg above the knee, the leg that had been allowing her to twirl around on her heel. She glanced down, seeing a spray of crimson splattering out of the back and side of her leg, a wound deep enough to cause her to crumple and stop her spin so that he was still at around a 90 degree angle from where her front was facing. Her right foot, which had previously been up in the air as it pushed off the ground to start her spin off, had to stomp back down onto the ground and stabilize herself so that she would not fall down completely.

The second strike came in at her exposed left lower back. She was able to avoid crying out in pain, but it was certainly painful as it dug into her abdomen. She wasn't exactly sure what organs were around there, so hopefully they weren't important for anything. Was it her stomach? She needed that to eat lots of food, so she hoped that wasn't the case. She knew where her heart, lungs, and brain were, but that was about it. The elf seemed to be enjoying this, but she'd had far more fun battles in the past. Let's just say that nothing the elves were doing in this village put her in any sort of good mood.

His blade was still inside of her, which meant that he was still in range of a swing. Fighting through the pain, she snapped her left arm back to her left side, her flaming sword back on it's original path to cleave him horizontally in two before he could escape her. She wouldn't need to bend her wounded abdomen or legs to reach him now.

"You're mine!" She thought to herself, her teeth still gritted, exposing her sharp fangs.

Upon getting closer, Niks started to hear the, in his assumption, almost finished battle nearby, if the battlecry was an indication. Although there was something about the voice that seemed to bother him. As he can start to discern the two fighters, his tail started to flick in agitation and he frowned. He couldn't believe his eyes, even with the whole dimensional travelling of the gates, the sort of thing he was seeing at the moment should not be possible!

Niks stopped in his tracks over the sheer weirdness of the sight. He stopped as he saw an elf made a stabbing motion at her. He stopped as the gesture connected but failed to prevent the horizontal movement the girl made. He stopped and didn't do anything but stare. Even if he tried anything, only him shouting would had a chance of disrupting the fight, he was too far for anything else.

The sound of fighting and screams echoed throughout the town. Snarnorgul footsteps shook the very earth as he strode forward toward the palisades around the town. With a growl quickly followed by a roar he punched forth with his great right pincer. The wooden barricade exploded outward like leaves before a storm creating a massive gaping hole in the defenses. As he stormed through more devil elves followed in his wake screaming their war cries, eyes hungry for blood. Soon the butchers work began in full as men and women were ran down and slaughtered by the bloodthirsty elves.

In one wide street a line of militiamen in rugged leather, armed with wooden shields and spears stood as the last bulwark defending the towns center proper. A squadron of elves on their bestial Worgs mounts rounded a corner, their war cries blending with the howls of their feral mounts. Arrows are loosed into the ranks of defenders, dropping a fair number of them, right before the elves closed ranks with a savage charge that tore the weakened shield wall to pieces.

Elsewhere three Mallion soldiers-well trained, fairly well-armed, and armored in chain-mail and small bucklers-faced off against three devil elves along the western wall of the town. The men, frightened as they were, kept the presence of mind to form a triangular defense, using the wall behind them to secure their backs. The elves fanned out and came at them in unison. Their amazing elven bones swords and long daggers worked circular attack routines so quickly that the paired weapons seemed to blur the line between where one blade stopped and the other began.

The humans, to their credit, held strong their position, offered parries and blocks wherever necessary, and suppressed any urge to scream out in terror and charge- as some of their nearby comrades were doing to disastrous results. Gradually, talking quickly between them to analyze each of their enemy's movements, the trio began to decipher the deceptive and brilliant elven sword dance, enough so, at least too offer one or two counters of their own. Back and forth it went, the humans wisely holding their position, not following any of their individual retreating elves and thus weakening their own defenses. Blade rang against blade, and the magical swords the town soldiers matched up well enough against elven weapons.

A horrible roar seemed to shake the stone foundations of the very buildings around them. The made rush of anger in it's pitch was enough to drain the blood from the faces of the three soldiers who went white as they realized it was growing closer. The elves exchanged words the humans did not understand. Then the three elves attacked in unison, all six bone blades up high in a blurring dance of motion. Human swords and shields came up to meet the challenge and the resulting clang of metal against magically hardness bone rang out like a single note.

A note quickly drowned out by yet another roar, followed by a earth shaking quake. Then at some unseen call or order the three elves danced away out of race at the same time. Still the humans remained stead fast in their defensive formation, and despite the ominous cries echoing through the town they began to feel confidant. The elves now backed off a step, Tonekin Ta'salz the central solider felt something wet his his shoulder. He flinched but a quick look confirmed it was only some rain, not his own blood as he had feared in a wild moment of panic.

Only this water was strangely thick...and stank something fierce... Then he noticed the shadow at his feet in an encroaching of darkness that was not there before. Instinct pulled at his nerves and he looked up then. Suddenly the feeling in his legs gave way, and he might have fallen to his feet then and there if not for his comrades at his side and the wall not far from his back. For above him was a sight unlike anything he had laid witness to in his entire life time. Snarnorgul looked down from over the wall that only came just to his own chest, a cruel smiled curled his lips, showing a jagged row of teeth and fangs.

"Come now, don't be so anxious." Came his booming voice. "You may yet still have a good head start."

The elf was most likely in shock as Evvie unleashed her attack, her left arm brandishing the fire sword the cleaved him in two horizontally along the torso, sending the smoldering upper half crashing to the ground in a pile with his lower body. There was no blood pouring out of him despite the severity of the wound, but rather the smell of burning flesh had sealed the wound instantly from the heat of her blade. Evvie gritted her teeth as the weapon that was imbedded inside her abdomen slipped out, clattering to the ground at her feet, wet with her blood. She clamped her left hand to the wound to stem the tide, stumbling off to her right to help prop herself up against a wall, relieving pressure on her wounded left leg and keeping herself from collapsing due to the sudden wave of dizziness that hit her. With her advanced healing she'd be back to normal soon enough, but for right now she had to take it easy.

She had won, but unlike the last battle, this one had managed to do a number on her despite it being such a brief exchange between the two. Had the fight drawn on any longer then she surely would have gotten many more serious wounds to add to her collection. As much as she hated wearing restrictive articles of clothing, a nice suit of armor was beginning to look really good to her now. It might just be worth swallowing her dragon pride on this matter to rely on equipment if she has to face many more opponents of his power. This was quite the frustrating predicament, but like pulling off a Band-Aid, perhaps it would be best to get it done as soon as possible. The conclusion of this battle came first, and she hoped to take part in it herself, but something now standing out in the open caught her undivided attention. It was...herself?

She was not yet aware of the existence of her clones, which would have easily been the first assumption to make had she known. Even though she would have been horribly wrong, at least she'd have a rational explanation for seeing double. However, as of this moment she couldn't have been more confused, and her face showed it in her slacked jaw and wide open eyes. She couldn't even form words as her poor brain tried to process what she was seeing.

Questions. That was what going through Niks' head as he saw the impossible in front of him. The more he tried to answer those questions, the more baffled he grew as most of the answers he found turned to be either stupid or unlikely. A brief look at the girl showed that it was a shared sentiment, although probably for a different reason. He considered of leaving there and then, but knew that doing so would cause the question to keep gnawing his mind. Approaching her would allow him to ask directly but had its own risk, yet he defeated her once, he could repeat it again. With confident stride, Niks approached the girl. He opened his mouth to greet, but said what was in his mind.

"How can you be alive?" he said.

"I better then them," she replied, nodding her head to the two very deceased elves lying nearby. She had confused his vague question with, "How did you survive that battle?". She still stared at him in surprise, but had since closed her gapping mouth.

Niks blinked before understanding that his question was misunderstood. He then repeated it, "But, didn't you die before?"

"Hmm..." she pondered. Most people dont have to think about such an important event, as if they might have forgotten about it. Either you remember dying or you didnt die. However, for some reason she wasnt convinced that she had never died before. Actually, it seemed like she had somehow died multiple times. Or did she? She had vague memories popping up in dreams every once in a while, but those were just dreams, right? Or could she really reincarnate like the stories people told of her back home? Was this copy cat around while she had previously died? Her brain hurt from all of this pondering.

"You tell me?" she replied as a question rather then a statement, as her head tilted to the side. She was feeling slightly better from the time she was able to rest while talking to him so was no longer dizzy or weak feeling. The wounds still hurt, but only as dull throbs, and there was hardly any blood dripping down anymore, a sign that her body was already doing its work in healing her. Just a few more minutes and she would be able to move around like normal again and re-enter this fight. Her rage against the elves had subsidded greatly after taking it out on her recent opponents, but she still needed to wipe out the rest of the attackers before they could do to much more damage.

"Umm, you know who I am, yes?" Niks slowly asked as he tried on imitating his own voice, to a degree as no living being can speak like he did. He mentally grumbled although it seemed that the girl had a memory loss regarding this issue. He probably could use this to his advantage and learn on how she revived herself.

"Umm...some sort of big meanie?" She answered, not knowing for sure what he was or if she did in fact know him. She had a vague feeling that she had heard his voice before somewhere not too long ago, so perhaps he wasnt lying when he was acting that they did, in fact, know each other. He didn't ring much of a bell in her head yet, but perhaps he would say something a little more useful if they kept talking.

"No? Huh, funny...." Niks said as he pondered, tail swishing about. If she did lost memory then he should probably just lie and twist things around. If all worked nicely, he'll learn how he revived herself and a new minion.

"Not funny. You confusing!" She said, pointing an accusatory finger his way. "Why you copy me?" She added. This conversation didnt make much sense at all to her.

"Not copy! You...my friend! Friends share looks all the time!" Niks lied, somehow taking an indignant tone over being called a copycat. Then he slumped his shoulder as if he was sad, "Until that...stupid meanie killed you..." Niks added, mentally cursing the girl's somehow limiting his words. He stopped there to see if he had the girl's attention and if she believed it.

Her tail was now the one swishing as she was in thought, considering what was being told to her. Could she trust this random look-a-like so easily? She was naive in some regards, but perhaps that would be a little too naiive. Still, it would be worth investigating further. She gave a hesitant nod, although didnt look too sure of herself when she did so.

"Why you here?" She questioned. "I busy fighting big meanies with pointy ears. Town people in trouble. Will help?"

If this person was her friend then she'd try and help her out in taking care of the rest of these attackers.

Niks paused to decipher what the girl meant before giving what he hoped appear to be an eager nod, "Didn't plan to, but you here, so I'll help." Not really something he'd do otherwise, but the notion of a free revival was a tempting one.

He gave a flap on his wings and looked at his 'friend', "Where to?"

Evvie smiled for the first time today. So this person was friendly after all. She pondered about his question, but it didnt take very long to come up with their next target. It was that huge monster that had killed the bear and was now threatening the civilians. She pointed to it with her right hand.

"That thing. The big, big meanie!" She answered.

Torn corpses littered the blooded streets of the town, everywhere the bodies of defenders both human and centaur lay mangled and dismembered. Hefting off the ground was easily as a on might lift and infant, Snarnorgul held aloof a human warrior in his larger fighting arms. Neck tightly held between to mighty pincers the man strangled feebly. Snarnorgul chewed on the upper body of another warrior, great fangs tearing past flesh and armor. He snapped down on the prey within his great maw, sundering the corpse in two--causing it's lower half to fall to the ground. Snarnorgul with a help of a detachment off elves had all but cleared out this side of the town, all but routing the handful of defenders. Snarnorgul was elated indeed, too rarely did he manage to enjoy such a feast of mayhem and bloodshed.

The screams of fear, the howl of war cries, the crushing of bone under hoof, oh! And the smell of blood did delight him so. He was truly at home now, but best of all there was still more killing to be done before the entire town finally submitted! In the midst of his blissful delight in his rain of destruction and death, Snarnorgul suddenly felt something change. A feeling in the pit of his gut he could not explain. After raking his mind for the cause of the shift, it suddenly came to him. With an angry guttural roar he flinched the powerful sinews of his pincers, beheading the man instantly. As the body dropped to the ground Snarnorgul was on the move, charging down a street roughly 20 feet wide. A few pillars of stone had sprouted about the area, rain water slowly sliding down the obsidian structures. Snarnorgul quickly recognized them as Adinraen's handiwork.

The change in the wind soon brought a new but slightly familiar scent to Snarnorgul's sensitive noes. With growl he stalked in that direction the earth shaking with each step, inevitably bringing closer to the half dragon and it's unlikely companion.

Evvie was planning on racing over there as quickly as her wounded leg would allow, using her wings to help flap her way around to avoid any unnecessary pressure on the wound, but as it turns out the big, big meanie was sparing her the trouble and storming her way. Most people would be intimidated at the sight...and in all honestly she was just a teeny tiny bit, but she wouldn't let it show through her determined expression. Besides, she had just killed two high ranking elves, apparently, so she could more then likely handle this oversized reptile thingy. The only cool oversized reptiles were dragons. Speaking of which, where did that one go just no? Oh well, she had to try and focus on the battle soon to be at hand at the pace he was approaching.

Without consulting with her new look-a-like friend on a plan she began flapping her wings to elevate herself above his reach before he could cross the distance. She planned on sending her fire breath down on him, but then again with his reach it would be hard to get any fire down that far to hit his body while still maintaining a safe distance away. Even she knew that at his size she didn't want to get hit by one of those things that had managed to eviscerate a humungous bear. Hmm...perhaps this battle wasn't so easy as originally thought.

She was still confident that she could outmaneuver him and could maybe even afford to start mocking him in the air if she felt confident enough. Maybe get all of his attention off of the townsfolk so he couldn't do any more damage and then maybe her friend or some other soldiers could think of all the hard planning stuff...yeah. That was the best she had for now, so might as well go with it and see what happens.

"Hey mister big meanie! Over here!" She shouted at the top of her lungs with her naturally loud voice. It was hard to wag her tail tauntingly at him while she was flying, so she just shook around in an un-stabilized manner for a couple seconds before giving up and then simply flying in circles in a holding pattern overhead, waiting to see what he would do.

As the rain slowly began to fall more heavily, the raging fire in the town had almost consumed half of the settlement. With any luck for the citizens, the rain might be enough to slow the fire from spreading further. Water ran down across Snarnorgul's scales and exoskeleton. A drop flowed down his snout but he ignored the sensation as he trained his senses on his surroundings. After reaching an intersection he spotted what looked to be the sight of a small skirmish, with several bodies strewn about. At first Snarnorgul paid them little heed, but when his sharp eyes spotted the mutilated body of a familiar elf his suspicions were confirmed.

He stomped down hard on the cobbled street with his right leg in frustration, shaking the ground. Snarnorgul had held no great love for the elven commander of course, but the insult of his death simply could not be allowed to stand. The rush of air like the beating of wings caught the attention of his sensitive hearing over the platter of rain. The distinct sound drew his attention to an odd sight, of what appeared to be reptilian looking female with wings. It took Snarnorgul a moment to realize it looked remarkably like a humanoid dragon.

"Hey mister big meanie! Over here!"

Snarnorgul reared up to his full height and let loose a great angry roar that echoed across the town. Squinting rain out of his eyes he snarled at the creature above him that dared to taunt him, baring his fangs. She hovered somewhere around 20 feet in the air making circles.

'You dare mock Snarnorgul The Mighty!' Projecting his voice directly into her mind. He swept his head about, water flying from his head with each quick turn. He then settled his eyes on his right, on a large two story house sporting a chimney. Like many of the buildings it was partly on the fire that had been spreading for some time. He brought his large pincers up and clapped down hard on the roofs edge, heedless of the flames. Then tearing half the top off with a grunt, managing to break a large segment of the triangle shaped roof away. Tiles and pieces of debris fell as he lifted it over his head growling in anger. With a shout he brought it back and tossed it with frightening strength causing it to sail spinning toward the smug dragon girl.

He aimed it slightly high up aiming for where she would go, thus making it difficult for her to simply stop or change course midway. Snarnorgul had had some experience fighting flying foes before, such as the hated vrocks--winged tanar'ri a cross between a large human and a huge vulture. He predicted she might attempt to dive lower to gain enough speed to avoid the improvised missile which would reach her in two heartbeats. He might hit, or might not, but either way time was on his side he knew.

Niks mentally groaned when the girl pointed at the huge creature and said they're going to bring it down. This was not a fight he'd look forward to, although at the very least, it didn't look like the creature would have any mean to defend against his Hex, other than the exoskeleton armor, although it probably wouldn't be as effective because of the scales. He looked at the girl to try to plan on how to bring down the gargantuan creature, but it was too late as he heard a flap of wings and the girl flying up and started taunting the creature. "Hey, wait, what are you....ooooh!" He started with a flick of his tail. It came to his surprise however, when the creature let loose an angry roar and focused its gaze at the flying girl before grabbing and tearing a roof to be used as an improvised projectile against her. The strength of the creature, at least, was not surprising.

Grumbling to himself, Niks made his move. A glob of green colored gas started to form between his palm as he darted to the right side of the creature and tried to circle to its back. He tried to stay away from the creature's reach (20 m roughly) just in case it turned its attention to him.

Evvie placed her hands against her temples and grimaced as a voice somehow burst into her head. She knew it wasn't her own thoughts because she probably would not have delivered a comeback against herself and called herself "snore no goal" or something like that. Yeah, that made no sense at all.

She turned her attention back to the monster to see him grabbing for a chimney. He didn't appear to be too effected by the fire, which was bad news for Evvie. More bad news was why he was doing this. It couldn't just be because he was irritated that she was out of reach so was taking it out on a building, could it? He brought it back, a surefire throwing motion. Her eyes widened. She had never considered this possibility and was most certainly not high enough to be out of range of projectiles. She couldn't raise that high that fast, not by a long shot, and that would simply be retreating anyways. There was no option but to take the predictable and much quicker route by diving down at full speed. She didn't really need to change direction herself because gravity was able to pull her down at the speed it always would have once she stopped flapping around and tucked her wings in close to her body. She did have some forward momentum in addition to downward, and without her flapping around she was send falling rapidly in the direction of one of the buildings.

On the bright side the debris being flung at her sailed just overhead, missing her even if it was close enough to send a breeze flowing through her hair. What was now the danger was crashing into the building. She flapped her wings frantically so she could now slow her freefall descent, but was not able to completely avoid impact and slammed against the wall with a thud, stunning her briefly as she fell down a storey flat onto her back. She let out a groan, lying there for a bit to try to regain her senses. On the bright side she was tucked away in some alleyway that wasn't in any immediate danger of combat, so she should be safe long enough to recover.

Snarnorgul's lips curled into a smile as watched the winged humanoid rapidly descend to the earth. He easily marked he fall, and began to charge forward even before she had crashed into the buildings wall. The path was of course abstracted by a building, but it proved no impediment to the tanar'ri. He barreled straight forward smashing into the flaming merchant shop like a living tank or battering ram. Wooden beams and masonry sundered against him, leaving not so much as a bruise on his tough leathery hide. The path he left was that of complete destruction, with the building collapsing on itself just behind him in a torrent of flames. A deadly obstacle had enemy soldiers been in pursuit of him, but he paid no mind to the destruction.

By the time Evvie struck the wall and had landed in the alleyway Snarnorgul had nearly reached the other end of the shop. With a tremendous crashing sound Snarnorgul collided with the brick wall on the other side of where Evvie now lay prone. The collision quickly caused the entire wall to com crumbling down in an avalanche of bricks, motor, and timber. All of it falling straight down on the dragon girl. Worse still the cramped conditions of the alleyway would likely make it difficult to avoid being buried, with one end of the alleyway ending in a dead end, which left a 16 foot sprint to the other end.

If a wall falling on her was not bad enough, Snarnorgul's added weight would likely crush her if not badly injure her. With all the smoke and debris in the air Snarnorgul knew he would have to rely on his sharper senses to pin point the humanoid in the ensuing destruction.

It turned out that Niks didn't have to bother trying to get behind the creature as it did so the moment he moved to the side by charging towards Evvie. He lost sight of the creature as soon as it hit the building and left behind a cloud of dust and flying debris over the remain of the houses it bullrushed through. He concentrated more on his existing hex before taking off to the air slowly in order to try to see where the creature was and considering whether to send the hex at it as it was or put something more.
