Shotlocks are considered Major Abilities for the purposes of when they can be learned. Since most of them are Elemental, the stipulation will be that you have to have to know, say, Fire, to be able to learn a Shotlock like Flame Salvo later on. If the initial Spell levels up (Fire to Fira for example) then the corresponding Shotlock (Flame Salvo in this case) will also "level up" and be able to deal more damage than it did previously.

Also, yes, you can make up Shotlocks. But for the purposes of when they can be learned, they must always be counted as a Major Ability.

Hope that cleared some things up.

Also, feel free to add an Ability section to your CS like I did, and organize it whichever way is most convenient for you.

Think I might have underestimated the power of Shotlocks...

This is sudden, I know, but new rule: you can't learn a Shotlock unless you know both abilities on the Command Meld. In the case of Meteor Shower (the Shotlock Card went for) that would be either Thunder/Fire, Thunder/Strike Raid, or Zero Gravity/Blitz.

Again, I know this is a sudden change, but it struck that there are powerful Neutral Shotlocks that, according to the previous ruling, could be learned as early as right now, which didn't seem balanced when I thought about it, hence the knew ruling. Sorry for any inconveniences that may cause anyone.

EDIT: Changed Jared's Vortex to Sonic Blade. No more changing the Minor Ability now, I promise. xD

When you make up a Shotlock, you'll decide what the Command Meld is for it and will need to know the two Abilities beforehand.

Sezir, Command Melding was a mechanic used in Birth by Sleep for learning and leveling up Abilities. It involves combining two Abilities you already know to create a new one more or less. Shotlocks were often techniques that were learned by this method. For example, Meteor Shower was potentially learned by melding Thunder with either Fire or the Blitz attack. Most Shotlocks have various recipes for learning them. In the RP, Shotlocks will be learned as Major Abilities, but to be able to learn them you must have already learned enough abilities for at least one of the Command Meld recipes. In the case of Meteor Shower, that would mean you'd have to at least learn the Thunder spell and, say, the Fire spell before being eligible to learn Meteor Shower later on.

So more or less knowing what you want for later and planning the abilities? So could I upgrade to know fire and an Airedale sweep then next time upgrade to an air comb attack?

I added High Jump as my minor and Hummingbird as my Major.

Double I hope it's okay but I went ahead and revised my character sheet. I didn't do anything drastic, it's just that was barely the second cs I had ever wrote up and since then i've written quite a few more so looking at it now was kind of an eye sore haha. If there's a problem with anything just let me know and i'll change it asap.

Posted. Sorry if it seems rushed I was just eager to go ahead and get us on the Gummi Ship and to reveal our roles in the plot and the meaning of the Prologue's title (Enemies of the Light).

Anyway, I'll be waiting a bit before moving us to our first official world. Until then, consider the time spent on the ship as down time for conversations and discussing the situation the party now finds itself in.

How big is the ship inside? Is it big enough to practice swordsmanship or have a space meant to do so?

Posted. Nothing plot-moving, so the down time is still going on. Instead I have thrown in a little something extra to get the characters thinking. The ship has no weapons currently which means they're screwed if they engage in any space battles. This idea is, surprisingly enough, NOT something borrowed from Ren and instead came from an experience I had while recently replaying KH1, where I used one of the blue prints only to find out that for whatever reason it didn't come with any pre-equipped weapons, meaning I had to complete the flying section without being able to shoot. It was pretty cool so I decided to use that scenario here.
