Sam returned to the hotel room he and his brother were currently sharing, not really caring if his brother was still upset at the fact he uprooted him from a normal life with Lisa and Ben. For them, normal was something they'd never obtain. Especially now that Sam didn't have a soul.

"Hey, wake up, I found something in a town not too far away." He said, shaking Dean's shoulder. He walked over to grab his bag to pack up. "People have been going missing, some of them coming back drained of blood. Could be vampires."

Dreamless sleep. Dreamless yet as comfortable as any motel bed would ever bring to the older Winchester. Dean had practically crashed when they arrived, set up the room out habit and showered. Now all he knew was that someone was shaking his shoulder to wake him. Having slept on his side and his back having been faced to Sam, Dean had rolled over to get a glimpse of the one that was disturbing his sleep. It took Dean's mind to wake up with him to process that it was his brother and where he was before he relaxed. It also took a moment to process what his brother was even saying.

"Alright alright. I'm up." Dean groaned as he sat up wearing a shirt and boxers. He looked at the window, then his young brother. "What time is it?" He asked before pulling the Five-Seven from under his pillow and pulled his bag from under his bed to grab some clothes out to get dressed.

"A little after ten, still enough time to grab some food before hitting the road." Sam replied as he packed his laptop into his backpack. He raised an eyebrow at his brother's choice of sleep wear but didn't say anything. If Dean was comfortable in it, who was he to judge?

"Apparently the town hasn't had any problems before, just a boring place until these disappearances started happening. Something must have moved in not too long ago."

Dean had honestly not expected to sleep so late, normally an early riser. "Shit...I hadn't expected to sleep that late." He went to the bathroom to get dressed and do his daily morning routine. Once done and out in clean clothes, he stuffed his pajamas within his bag and began packing his things and weapons, giving each a quick check as he put them up.

"Sounds about right. Vampires you said? Is there a pattern? Or is it random?" Dean asked. If there was a pattern, maybe they could use that to their advantage to figure out the numbers and maybe even get a location on their little nest. It would be difficult if it was random. Then more thought would need to be put into how to take out the Bloodsucking bastards.

"Yeah, a weird one. The disappearances have all been girls around thirteen to fifteen." Sam replied, glancing over at his older brother. Vampires in the past did have patterns, but none as specific as this. They usually went after people they know wouldn't be missed, but this? This was definitely out there.

"What's even weirder is they're all brunettes. None of the other girls have gone missing except for them." Sam added.

That made Dean stop in his tracks. That was definitely an odd pattern if Dean had ever heard of it. They either have something against Brunettes or they were going after someone specific with the near age and hair color. They needed to look into this before this got out of hand real quick. "Guess we get to go Vamp' hunting then. I wonder who may have pissed off these guys that they're going after girls with the same hair and near that age group. That can't a coincidence." He points out while grabbing his bags and heading for the door.

"Maybe it's a newly turned vampire they're trying to find that matches the description." Sam suggested as he got into the car, placing his bag in the backseat. "Hopefully we can figure it out before more kids die. There's bound to be an abandoned building or something for the coven to be hiding out in."

That was certainly an idea and would be on the list of 'What could be's and could stick with that till they found what the reason was. Stashing his things within the backseat as well, got in and started up the Impala. "We'll find out when we get there. Maybe see if we can find out any known abandoned buildings or not so occupied areas. It would give us a place to start before we get there." Dean advised while backing out of the parking spot and getting on the road. For now, it would be best to just go through a Drive-Thru and eat on the way after getting the town that they were going to.

After they had picked up some food, Sam gave him the directions for the town between bites. Silence hung in the air for what felt like hours before Sam spoke up again. "Heard anything from Cas? Where's he disappeared to anyways? Heaven?" He asked, being sarcastic at the end.

He did like the angel even if he didn't understand humans too much or anything about being one. However, he did bring his brother back from Hell and has helped them when they needed him. The only annoyance was his appearing and disappearing at times which usually resulted in unintentionally startling the two.

Dean followed the directions that Sam gave him, taking bites here and there. Eating and driving within the long silence which the older Winchester didn't mind since he was more concentrated on the road and where he needed to go. It was Sam that broke the silence, asking about Castiel. "Nope. Not a word. Wouldn't be surprised if that is where he's at right now." He hadn't seen Cas since the battle between Lucifer and Micheal. When Sam got put in the cage with the two angels. It took a moment for Dean to relax when he felt his hand grip the wheel a little bit more than he usually did. 'Sam is here and safe. That's all that matters now.' He thought to himself. It was all he needed to know and be happy about.

"I'm sure he's alright. He knows if he needs us, he can call us up." Dean reassured, though unsure if that was what Sam wanted to hear. It was the truth though. Cas could have come to Cas at any point in time for help while he was with Ben and Lisa. He would have helped in a heartbeat.

Sam gave him a little nod in reply, noticing how his knuckles turned white. No matter what, Dean would always worry about him. He'd been taking care of him since he was a baby after their mother...He couldn't continue with the thought. It was too painful. He was too young to remember, but he knew it was his fault they didn't have a normal life.

If it wasn't for him, their mother would be alive along with their father. They wouldn't be orphans going on hunts. They wouldn't have freed Lucifer by accident, he wouldn't have ended up in the Cage, and he wouldn't be soulless.

The drive was about an hour-long for the brothers. They to the cheapest motel they could afford, knowing they were going to need to see the officials of the town, get as much information as they could on the case to see what they could do about the Vamps. This required their suits and badges and as much as Dean hated the suits, it was necessary to get the information they needed.

Once the suit was on, Dean was back in the car and they were off. Heading to the station, talks were rather short as sweet and the officers gave them the files, including each girl killed and where within the town. Once that happened, they could go check out some of the places that were abandoned. It was rather interesting so far how many abandoned areas there were. But better to scope them out from the outside while they had daylight. "Got to say, that was quite a few files they gave us. How long were they killing of these girls being spanned out Sam?" Does Dean ask while they were walking into an alley.

"Three four days at least." Sam replied as he followed him, looking around for anything out of the ordinary. He blinked upon seeing a girl cross the alley ahead of them; a teen girl with brown hair. "Dean." He said, nodding his head towards the girl in hopes his brother would see her before she disappeared.

Not wanting to wait too long, Sam ran down the alleyway towards the girl. "Hey!" He exclaimed, causing the girl to freeze temporarily before quickly running off. "Damnit." He growled before taking off after her.

"They must be really on a search then." Dean pointed out while he was on a search for anything out of the ordinary. Dean had stopped when his brother called his name, looking in the direction where Sam was looking and got a glimpse of the girl that Sam nodded toward but noticed how he took off suddenly and they began a chase after the girl. "Sonofabitch...Sam!" He called after Sam as he took off after both the girl and Sam, barely keeping sight of them despite how fast he was running. "What the hell...?"

Sam soon caught up to the girl, grabbing her upper arm to stop her. She let out a scream before turning around and kicking Sam hard in the nuts. A grunt of pain escaped Sam as he let her go, crumpling to his knees. She was tougher than she looked.

"Stay the Hell away from me!" She exclaimed, fists up and ready to fight as Dean drew near.

Managing to catch up, the older Winchester noticed his poor brother getting kicked in the nuts which made him wince as he stopped some feet away with his hands up in surrender. "Easy there kid. We're not here to hurt you. Despite what just happened, Sam didn't want to hurt you." Dean assured. Hoping to gain the kid's trust to some extent. "We heard about some deaths going on with girls around your age and hair color. You know anything about that?" He asks, cautious walking toward his brother to help him up, a hand still up and not taking his eyes off the girl that clearly knew how to handle herself to some extent.

Fear flashed across the girl's face before it disappeared. "This wasn't supposed to happen. It's all my fault." She replied before a man around Sam and Dean's age jogged over to them, glaring at the brothers. "What's going on here?" He asked, voice a deep growl.

The girl looked back at the man as he approached. "They know about the deaths." She replied, a slight hint of fear in her voice. The man glanced back at the brothers, taking in their appearance. "Who are you?"

Dean watched the girl's reaction turn from angry, to fear. He was confused about what the girl meant, wondering what she was talking about. Did she think that she caused the deaths of those girls within the town? Dean was about to ask when he saw a man come around the corner. Obviously, the man knew the girl and they knew about what was going on. Now Dean needed to think fast before this possibly turned into a bad situation. "My name's Dean. This is my brother Sam. We're investigating the deaths of some girls that were killed. We only want to talk and figure this out." Hoping they wouldn't act out and get some answers.

"It's none of your concern. Just leave me and her alone." The man replied, placing himself between the girl and them. Something was clearly going on, something they were hiding. But what?

"We don't want any trouble. If you know anything-" Sam tried saying.

"Look, we know what you are, so cut the crap. We're dealing with it, so stay out of it." The man snapped before walking off, the girl following close behind.

Dean figured something was going one. But understood in a way what was going on between the man and the girl. They were close, but Dean couldn't place in what way? What threw Dean off was that the man knew what they were. Did they know they were hunters? That meant they must be too. Placing a hand on Sam's shoulder, letting his brother know to let it go. Dean had a plan going within his mind anyways that involved keeping tabs on the two. "Come on Sam. We'll just keep an eye on them for now while we do our own investigating." He wanted to keep an eye on the girl.
