Some random idea:Prehistory; write about the first man discovering fire, hunting wildlife to feed his tribe, fight a nearby hostile tribe...Middle ages: Enough to write about here. Royalty, knighthood, wars, crusades, crusades from the other side.Semi-modern history: The forming of the United States, renaissance...Modern history: The forming of the EU, the falling apart of the USSR. Alternatively, pick a random war from the last two decades or so. For bonus points, try to write from the other side's perspective.

Knowing me I would have stuck to WW II or something since it's what I know the most about, but I doubt I'm doing this now. I've been out most of the day and now I'm too tired to write anything. Not to mention I only have a bit of time... If I start now I might be able to whip something up even though it won't be my best work. We shall see.

Edit: Ugh...I'm really lacking inspiration tonight. Sorry, guys :(. I really wanted to enter this since history is my favourite thing ever, but I'm just not feeling it tonight and I've been so busy because of my birthday and other real life stuff. I look forward to reading other peoples' entries at least.
