It's funny. I look at Iwata and go "Yeah, that guy could totally be Nintendo's president" but then I look at Reggie and go ".... Huh..." Seriously, I got nothing. I don't get any kind of vibe from the guy and it's really weird. I think president of Nintendo America and I think freaking Walt Disney.

I'm thinking about starting my very first RP. The idea I have is roughly something like this:

Hundreds of years ago, there was a massive battle. Not one warrior or civilian involved survived. However, every person who died had their soul imprisoned inside an object. Doesn't matter what the object was, from pieces of armor to swords to children's toys to simple rocks. These Artifacts ended up scattered about the globe. Every so often, one is discovered and eventually awakened. When awoken, they bind themselves to the nearest person and grant them various abilities. These can range from psychokinesis to flight to super strength. The downside is that if an Artifact is destroyed, so is the Host. These powers and abilities are used at the discretion of the Host, no matter how the Artifact feels about it. (Huh? Oh, right, the Artifacts are sentient. They can talk to their Host and each other). This tends to bring out the best... and worst in the Host.

There's some other stuff involved, but I can work it out if I decide to go through with it. Right now, I just want some feedback. I know it kinda sucks, but I made the whole thing up on a walk around the block. It all started with the idea of a Psychic Blind Swordsman inspired by Kenshi from Mortal Kombat.

That could work. It reminds me of an anime I read about where the high schoolers... (what is it with Japan and high school?) had pieces of jewellery that made them reincarnations of ancient personalities from the Sengoku period.

Yours sounds more interesting.

I would go so far as to say most of those in the war fell. That way you can have some specific uber powerful NPCs to contend with that are still pissed at the spirits inside the artifacts. (Perhaps these are the weapons that those people wielded?) Secondly, maybe it was just the special mystically endowed heroes. After all, who cares about the lowly unpowered soldier and the powers he doesn't have to grant you anyways? Maybe there was a weapon of mass destruction used by a third party that killed all the heroes and villains in that last final battle alike and thrust their "souls" into their weapons and/or equipment.

You know. Those are REALLY good ideas. You.... are good.

Also that anime is called Ikki Tousen, is my favorite ecchi, and contains my all-time favorite anime babe. Ryofu Housen (the green-haired, pig-tailed, bi-sexual, brute that they killed off in season one, then revived in season 3.... then killed off again at the end of season 3. SIIIIIIIIIIIGH).

My theory is that because Japanese High School is so damn strict, they want to reduce it to something less stressful. I just want to view a high school experience better than mine.

*grins* High school was something I wasn't very fond of. That's one of the reasons I was so drawn to Xavier's School back when I was younger. A school with no classrooms? How bloody cool is that?

It's just weird. In North American culture and Japanese culture, high school seems to be the best and most interesting part of everyone's lives. That's one of the reasons I love Anime's period pieces, fantasy pieces and such. No high schools exist! Rurouni Kenshin for the win! The High School thing has become so dominant that it turned me off most anime entirely.

Okay, first off. PLEASE don't let that stop you from enjoying anime! PLEASE!!!!!

Second... WOOT Rurouni Kenshin! Have you seen the live-action movie? It's fucking amazing and proves that only japan can really make a live-action anime film. It's getting two sequels this year, and I imported a copy straight from Japan because it's so awesome!

Also, Heart of Sword. That is all.

I caught that earlier and I also am quite eager to see it. The first was very well done, despite messing up the Oniwabanshu. I'm curious to see where it goes next. The live action version of Starship Yamato was also quite good. My personal favorite is the Macross series: Macross, Macross Plus and Macross Frontier. I like to pretend that Macross 7 never happened.

I'm currently re-watching Basilisk because a friend hasn't seen it yet. (Good Lord I love Okoi. She was soooo stupid...) A shame the live action wasn't done better.

I'm also set to re-watch Hellsing. It's been such a very long time that I can't remember it at all.

I know they didn't use the Oniwabanshu, but you still gotta admit... those two fights were pretty cool. Plus the Oniwabanshu will be in 2 and 3. Or at least Aoshi will. Haven't seen the others you mentioned except Hellsing. Hellsing Ultimate was better, except I prefer Seras' blue uni over the beige one. Right now, I'm watching Monogatari Second Season (I highly recommend it. Sure, the main character is in high school, but that has nothing to do with it. He's too busy helping girls overcomes supernatural crisis'. And it causes me to think alot. It's a very talky anime. Just trust me. When you can, watch Bakamonogatari. Then Nisemonogatari. Then Nekomonogatari (if you can find it). Then Monogatari Second Season. By then, Hanamonogatari should be out. I'm trying to watch Omomori Himari, but I DESPISE the main character's voice. It DOES NOT match the body, and that feels sooooooo weird for Japan. Also try Is This A Zombie?. Seriously, it's the funniest damn anime I've ever seen (so far). Sure, it's high school, but just try to get past that. It's worth it.

Oh... My... GOD!!! FINAL-FUCK-LY I MANAGED TO POST!!!!! And I figured out how to play Ayame's problem. The trauma from remembering the full extent of her attack caused her to develop three personalities. 1) Her default, named Aya, is a combination of her original personality before she destroyed the arena, and that of her "little sister" (remember Tea? Or T.E.A.C.S.U.n. 5? Yeah, her). 2) Her aggression, rage, and anger at everyone and everything, but mostly herself. Named May (because Aya-May... Ayame? GET IT?!?!?!?!). 3) Her playful, cuckoo, fourth-wall breaking self, who acts as a balancer between the two extremes. Simply called Discharge.

The dynamic is that when one personality is active, the others can't really affect her actions. Unless the will to do so is ridiculously strong. The inactive two can't speak to others, just the active one, and the active one can't think-speak to the others. She has to basically think out loud. While this makes her slightly unstable, she can still function because no matter what, there goals are always the same, just with different motives. Aya usually does things because it's right, May does things because she's angry, or because she wants to, or some other selfish reason, while Discharge kinda just floats along with the majority vote. She'd honestly rather play games. Hence why she set's up games in their mind. Yes, she can do that.

I'll try not to get carried away with talking to myself. That got me killed (without my permission) in a previous RP on another site, and I just quit them completely over it.

I won't kill you, only you have that power. A freak accident could happen but everyone has a chance to write something to save themselves unless they want to die and make another character or leave altogether. Hopefully the leaving part won't happen or this RP will fall faster then a house made of cards. Also you beat me to it, well I guess someone had to break the fourth wall.

I will pull Deadpool into it soon anyway.

I think some coffee will help right about now.

Don't worry. I won't leave.

Oh... Deadpool vs Discharge in a fourth wall breaking contest... that'll be fun. May she'll invite him over for a game of pool or ping-pong?

I hate coffee. Too bitter.

Maybe something where the women are in swim suits, that seems like Deadpool's kind of thing.
