A new arc getting our character together in a fresh start at the mansion would be great because we can get stock on who is here and who isnt.

Hmm... I think the best route is to ask Cyanide what she has in mind. I can come up with several ideas but I'd rather run with the GM's. Maybe a post-Apocalypse storyline in the far flung future? Maybe a prequel to earlier mutants?

So this is a future event with key active characters, in this future all the humans live underground and all the mutants live on the surface as either slaves or to put it better as fighters and those who serve the master of this future. Basically it is a fight to the death type thing or possibly a Battle Royale kind of thing though death is basically the big factor here. The idea is for the mutants to kill each other off and is basically entertainment for the master and at the same time doing the job of bring the mutant numbers down. It has a very dark, gritty Mortal Kombat thing going on where death is not optional either. You lose you die, if you refuse to kill the opponent you both die. The arenas vary as well.

I guess key words would be:

-Death
-Survival (Possibly a team or single survival based arc. Single being a free for all though due to the idea it will most likely be team Vs team.)
-Correction (Reworking the future so the master is not present before returning to the present unless I make this a future-future part of the RP)
-Future Events

This is only one idea and so if you have one fling them at me.

I like the idea of correction, but only after a while of the mortal kombat style fighting, like the active characters end up not wanting to do this anymore (though are quite skilled, having managed to survive this long) hatch a plan to get rid of the master?

Huge questions I have to ask myself about who to play... Without knowing the details on how the planet fell to Apocalypse (or did the whole planet? Maybe the United Kingdom still stands?) it's hard to know what to portray. Another interesting thought, not addressed by the actual Age of Apocalypse, is how non-mutant empowered beings would be handled by Apocalypse. Would he have thrown them into the Gene-vats?

I have a hankering to portray Beryl, my crystal growing mutant but she'd likely be a lady in Apocalypse's court. I do have my speedster Pandora Jinx, she's far too friendly to make for an Apoco-Lackey :)

I have a question. Does this mean we can go through multiple characters? Cuz this would be the perfect outlet for my boredom. I can easily get bored being stuck with one character, so killing off one or two or 50 wouldn't be a problem for me. Look at my character vault for proof.

OOOOH!!! I could even bring in my Mortal Kombat characters. Malachi has some wicked fatalites. I'm partial to his "Rip out spinal column and impale it in opponents head" one. Sub-Zero the III has some good ones, too. I just made her up recently, but I really like her "Batter's Up!" where she freezes the bones in the arm, shatters them, wraps the limp thing around their frozen neck, pulls really hard decapitating the target and ripping the arm off, freezes the arm, and shatters it clearing the head from the park.

I can be morbid sometimes... tee-hee.

Conversely, I feel the opposite. The longer I have players in a story line the more ammunition I develop for more embedding additional complexity. When they are eliminated from the story I have to start all over with providing foreshadowing and building NPC relationships for these new PCs. It gets even worse if they're prophesied in some fashion.

While I have nothing against the addition of Mortal Kombat derived characters I would appreciate avoiding the cartoon level of physics. For example, the idea of decapitating someone with a severed arm, flaccid or not, is preposterous outside of the original source material.

Well, OBVIOUSLY. I know enough to change things to match the setting. After all, you can pull the sine out through the neck. Not only is it attached to the rib cage, but the vertebrae are only connected via cartilage... which would probably break. Mortal Kombat physics are downright impossible outside of Mortal Kombat. I was just pointing out how creatively morbid I can get. I mean, shit give me some credit.

Welcome back, think Cy computer is not back for another week or so, maybe then things will pick up, still figuring out if my two current characters would fit in the new setting idea or to stay in the current one.

What is needed here is a heist! We need to sneak into PC World and steal back the PC! We'll need Shadowcat, Wolverine, Blink, and a few other stealthy mutants to do the job!

Absolutely. Though, he doesn't do so much during the X-Men series, in his own comics he uses stealth more often. In one of his first outings as one of the X-Men he ventured into the Hellfire club to rescue the X-Men. He plays cat and mouse with the guards until he gets them all together and then he drops from the ceiling and rips them apart giving birth to the Reavers before he resumes sneaking about.

Wait, I thought Wolverine's first outing was to Krakoa with Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm, Sunfire, Thunderbird, and Banshee to rescue Angel, Havok, Iceman, Marvel Girl, and Polaris after the disastrous attempt by Petra, Sway, Darwin, and Kid Vulcan failed to save anyone but Cyclops?
