New version: roleplayerguild.com/topics/184661-the…
- You play as someone from a world almost identical to our own. The major differences are that people's names and appearances are different, and that in early 2020 Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Sony merged to form Aleph Corp. This led to the release of the Omniphone, the device that would become your Expanse Caller.
- Your character is someone of any age above 12 who is a fan of the Digimon series, Megaman Battle Network series, or both. As a fan of these series, you own either both a Digimon Vpet toy and Digimon Digivice toy, or a Megaman PET toy. If you choose a PET, you may either start with a set of rare battlechips or with a Digimon Vpet toy. No two characters can have the same PET toy, Vpet toy, or Digivice toy. However, the Japanese-only versions of Digivice toys are considered different than their English versions. For example if someone has the first gen Vpet and the Frontier D-Scanner digivice, nobody else can have any of the gen 1 Vpet or frontier Digivices of any stage. However, someone else *could* use the updated re-release of the first gen Vpet for the 20th anniversary and the frontier-based D-Tector as their digivice as well. Think carefully about what Vpet and Digivice you want, as this will limit your digimon choices. Any PET toy can have any named Navi from the series with a few exceptions *OR* a custom Navi of your own creation.
- Players get one Digimon for their Vpet and one Digimon for their Digivice. As such, players with a PET can potentially have a Navi and a Digimon, instead of two Digimon like other players or only a Navi.
- There will be interaction with the Megaman Star Force universe, but only through NPCs.
- Navis are the only ones capable of using the Legendary Arms Digimon in their weapon forms, other than a few specific Digimon.
- Navis need a symbol associated with them that is somewhere on their body within a circle. This doesn't have to be in the artwork if you choose to use an image, but you do need a description or image of the symbol as well.
- Navis are capable of cross-souling or double-souling with a Digimon.
- While you *can* use a Xros Loader as your digivice, Xros Digimon are not available to players. However, that doesn't mean you can't use a line of Digimon from Xros Wars, only that it has to be converted to a normal line.
- You must choose on your CS to have your Digimon either stay in their strongest stage or revert and warp digivolve from Child. The benefits of staying in the stage are that it maintains its power at all times, but requires more upkeep and more time to recover/recharge. It also stays a bigger and more threatening target, whereas a warp digivolving Digimon will revert to Child or In-Training when they run out of energy/take too much damage. However, this means they need time to digivolve before they can really fight. The lower the stage the faster they recover/recharge health and power.
- The following Navis are banned from player use: Bass, Serenade, Hub-style Megaman, Fused Colonel.
- While custom Navis are allowed, custom Digimon are not. However, if you can find a valid digivolution line that hasn't appeared in canon, you can still use that line.
- Digimon and Netnavis will have hidden, GM-only stats for use when needed, but for the most part battles will be done without them.

Be prepared for death. While digimon may not ever truly die, there are still limits to their lives. Navis, EM beings, and especially humans are all very mortal. As such, we request that players make two character sets at the start, in case of the death of a human character.
Please make sure that your IC posts are at least 3 sentences. We'll be trying to keep a 1 round of posting per week speed, or faster if possible. If enough players wish to join, we may split the game into two concurrent games with overlap at times.
A CS must have at least one small paragraph for each section except for age and the appearance section if images are used. I understand that CS making can be difficult, I know it is for me at least, so a barebones sheet is perfectly acceptable.
Your characters may find events echoing from their beloved series, though perhaps things aren't as they seem. As such, real-life knowledge of the series will be useful, though not required to play. As long as you know the basics of either of the series, you should be fine.
- February 2020 ("Our" world): Apple, Microsoft, and Sony merge to form "Aleph Corp."
- April 2020 ("Our" world): Aleph Corp. releases the Omniphone 1.0 running the "Bronze" OS. Omniphones are sold out world-wide and production is artificially halted to create more demand.
- June 2020 ("Our" world): Aleph Corp. releases the Omniphone "Silver" OS and the Omniphone once again sells out world-wide with 1 billion units sold since first release in February.
- November 2020 ("Our" world): Aleph Corp. makes a final run of Omniphone 1.0 models including 100 units running the prototype "Gold" OS for testing before world-wide release of the Omniphone 1.1 model, which would run the "Gold" OS.
- December 2020 ("Our" world): The players obtain their Omniphones.
- December 31st 2020 ("Our" world): The final of the "Gold" OS Omniphones is activated. All 100 receive a call from a missing number that pulses static when answered.
- December 31st 2020/January 1st 2021 Midnight ("Our" world): The Omniphones running the "Gold" OS fuse with their owners' Vpets, Digivice toys, and PET toys respectively to form Expanse Callers.
- December 31st 2020 12:01 AM (Midnight) ("Mirror" world): The players arrive, asleep, in a world where history was significantly altered by Nikola Tesla completing the Wardenclyffe Tower project. This resulted in Tesla realizing that his hypothesis was incorrect, and learning that Hertzian waves do not need to travel in a straight line as light does. He then chose to combine his knowledge with that of Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, leading the world down the path of EM waves. This world has very advanced technology compared to the players' home world ("Our" world) including advanced Quantum Computers beyond our reach. The Expanse Callers that brought the players here connect to the Wave World (the collection of the Net and EM Wave roads throughout the universe) and crash it, causing panic across the planet as well as planets AM and FM.
- December 31st 2020 1:00 AM ("Mirror" (Now referred to as "Real") world): The Wave World, lost from the universe, finds itself fusing with several of the Digital Worlds and a few of the dimensions that border them. This new series of dimensions, including the new form of the Wave World, is known collectively as the "Digital Expanse."
- December 31st 2020 1:30 AM ("Real" world): The devices and lifeforms that relied on the Wave World are able to connect to the Digital Expanse, further increasing the panic across the planets.
- December 31st 2020 8:00 AM ("Real" world): The players awake.
