Vt frowned and ran after Sarena as the Kitsune stopped and looked over "I told you guys about the moss" he groaned and walked over and VT came back with Sarena "She still gonna be a little busted up unfortunately" Vt mutters slightly though found her to weigh more then he remembered.

The Kitsune frowned slightly and nodded "Blades have souls of their own, have their own paths. They merely guide the user is all" he explained to bane and looked at Sarena "You gonna not roll down anymore hill lady?" he teased her

Serena looked at him then said “thank you VT...my foot caught and I tripped...” she got to her feet and held her arm. “And my arm is killing me...it’s still swollen.” Bane saw Serena’s sword was glowing now and said “then why is her sword glowing?”

Serena was feeling off as she stood there, looking out of it now. Bane looked at the fox and said “well let’s figure out why your sword brought us here...”

"well if you head west for around maybe a mile we might stumble into a village that can help Sarena" he muses as VT frowned "wait....people can see us?" he asked as Toraksui grinend at the andriods fear "sometimes......sometiems not" he said amused and started to walk "VT carry her please or Bane, please no more slipping and falling " The kistune muses as VT glares.

"I wasn't ready for moss and human fitting kitsune" he glared at him.

Serena waved him off and muttered “I’m fine...” she followed the fox and Bane nodded to the droid and said “he is having fun with this...you just hang by me, I’ll make sure it’s secure...” they started walking and as they went farther Serena had gone quiet, trying to shake the strange feeling coming over her. Bane moved next to the fox and said “so what memory are we walking into? And what is up with Serena?”

The fox came to a little village and tilted his head slowly the village full of humans, laughing and families ran around, seeing his wife and stopped walking, and frowned remembering this time frame and shook his head. "Mine.....when I was a human," said as they would see him in his own mind a rigid and roughed up samurai a grin on his face with two kids following him happily demanding to know the story of his fights as he shook his head toward them and shooed them off.

The kitsune looked at himself as if looking at a mirror image of what he was once "He had no honor, he had no discipline, he had to gain it back if he would return to his family" he said looking at himself. "he was seeking a job any job in this little village for a samuria's skills" he spoke.

VT looked around seeing the people all over the place "wow " he said watching the kids and grunted as one kicked him in the shin "owch"

Bane fought not to laugh and waved at the kids running by. “You aren’t around kids much are you?” He looked around and said “glad no one cares what we are wearing...” he looked over and Serena was leaning against a house and holding her head.

Bane went over to Torak and said “you okay? Seeing this? And I think something is up with Serena...but why is your sword showing us this?”

Toraksui seemed to not listen as his wife ran up to the vision of him and handed him the blade he crafted to her, speaking tohim softly before the kitsunes eyes widen hearing her speak.

"If you shouldn't return home after a year time, they will force me to divorce you, but I will not let them take me away from you. If you shouldn't come back I shall perform a seppu-: the kitsune eyes flashed "ENOUGH!" He roared as he ripped the vision apart as they all found themselves back in the cave his eyes glowed breathing heavily. Before stumbling against the wall and sliding down.

VT frowned and glared at Bane slightly "I don't do well with kids I'm not ...made for babysitting" he said before feeling the rage of the kitsune and yelped as they returned back to the cave and saw it was back to normal and saw they hadn't even moved from the cave "what was that about?" he asked looking at the kitsune confused

Bane looked around and muttered “either his sword is trying to torture him or it’s trying to tell him something...only he knows what it means...” Serena suddenly left the cave in a rush, holding her arm. Bane looked over at the fox and asked “what’s going on? We need to know so we can help, Toraksui...”

Serena stumbled out and leaned against a tree breathing hard. Her sword was still vibrating in its holder and she grabbed it to make it stop. “I know... it I can’t fix what I don’t understand...I’m trying...” she held her head, her head pounding. “His soul is in pain...shake it off come on...I can’t help If I’m feeling the pain...”

Toraksui looked at them blankly and shook his head "No more just no more no more remembering" he mutters as he made the blade stop as the blade went back to being still and returning back to a normal state.

Vt frowned trying to recall that thing the woman was trying to say before the kitsune made it go away "what was your wife saying?" asked

"FORGET IT" The kitsune snapped he had enough pain, he didn't want to remember.

Bane growled and said “when we are put at risk because of it we need to talk about it. She was saying something about if he didn’t come back she was either leaving him or taking her own life...which i think she was leaning to the latter. Which is a normal thing for a soul mate to say...my mate said something similar when I went to war...sadly she died before I got back so just tell us why your sword thinks we needed to see that?”

Bane looked at the droid and said “go check on Serena...she’s hurting out there for some reason...”

VT frowned and reminded Bane "Then he has died twice" He said before going after sarena and finding her eventually "Hey you okay?" asked confused.

The kitsune shook his head "There's no reason for you to be put in danger for that snippet of remembering." he muttered lowly and rubbed his head as the collar was back on. "Besides it bares no more relevance now" he mutters slightly.

Bane nodded and folded his arms. “Then think of that poor woman out there. She feels your pain, she’s linked to the supernatural spirits which is you...is there any reason you can think of?”

Serena shook her head and aid “no...but I’ll make it work...let’s just get moving and get the mission over with...that way he can stop being in such pain...” her back was too the droid, a couple tears running down her cheek.

The kitsune glares slightly "The hell would I know? I just remember things, thats all I do, snippets, cracks and different memories. Things id rather forget, things id rather no one know Okay. There are things better left untouched" he muttered gently "Better left in the past," he said tiredly.

The droid was not convinced "What pain do you feel? his pain? or another pain?" he inquired looking at her tilting his head "the blade was trying to show us something but it wasn't for his sake I don't think" he pondered

Serena paused and looked at him, her tears streaming down. “What do you mean? You don’t think it was for him? Why would his sword show us his memory if it wasn’t for him...” she flinched and closed her eyes. “His...I think...I’m not sure...but there’s not many choices...”

Bane looked out then said “Toraksui...would you sword show us that...for someone else’s needs? Say...a spirit guardian trying to help a fox gate keeper?”

The andriod walked over and looked at her and wiped away the tears, though the water caused him slight discomfort "I think what the sword was telling us is not let him forget, what made him so special to so many. I think he left because he had lost his way and in doing so, it cost him everything. And I think the wall he put up was the shame and guilt that his lost wandering cost so much heartbreak. But the spirits don't want him to be sad, they want him to be the gatekeeper, that they know he was and always had been to them. Their Guardian" explained the Andriod.

The kitsune thought about it "It could but who would benefit from watching my past anyway? nothing very special happened. Just a normal man" said shrugging his shoulders slightly. He couldn't always remember, but he could the whispers, the cheering...the laughter when he was the ost down and in doubt.

Serena nodded and muttered “that’s what I’m feeling...they need him back...but how do we fix that...” she wiped her face, the tears still coming. Then she flinched and said “do we just tell him? Would he even believe us...” then she thought and said “there is one he would believe...but I don’t know if I can call her again...”

Bane watched him then said “Toraksui...I don’t think you should give up being the gatekeeper...I think...your sword is telling us the spirits need you back. The fox you used to be...before losing everything...it would explain why Serena feels like she has to help you. She could be feeling the pull. Feeling their needs and yours...I’m not an expert but maybe...they want you to be happy again and the memory is reminding you what it felt like?”

The andriod thinks and ponders "I don't think telling him is gonna help we have seen how stubborn he is" he grinned gently "But I don't think we should torment him with his wife" said smiling at her "we will find a way but not all solutions are found so easily. It might just take time and a situation to get him back is all" the android said.

The fox raised an eyebrow and grinned amused "me? be a gatekeeper again? ha, I haven't been that way in eons. Pretty sure my entire realm wouldn't want me back after leaving for so long. I am not who I used to be and nor do I know how to be that way anymore. I've grown too rough and rigid " he said before hearing a thunder boom above them "wonder if the gods can hear my ramble at the displeasure of it " muses and sighed gently "can we just please drop it, I'm tired " he said, but he was tired remembering, tired of his memories. The organization had scrambled him well enough it would take a while before he could be a proper guardian again...for those that needed him.

Serena nodded and looked up at the sky. “They call for their guardian...I’ll see what I can do with time...let’s get moving...” she turned and started walking and added “we have a mission to finish...”

Bane nodded and said “if that’s what you want...we should get moving. We have a case then we can go back and I’m going to find a better method for that collar...” it wasn’t a question. He headed for the cave opening and saw Serena heading for the way they had planned. “She is in pain...we need to finish this so we can get that arm really checked...”

The kitsune nodded as he got up slowly and walked out and looked over seeing Sarena and the android returning "If we keep moving to the north we might be able to catch a train or a place to eat if anyone is hungry" he said as the Droid nodded his head slowly and smiled "her arm is the thing hurting for now" he said and assured her they would fix the fox.

"I guess we can't work well unless we eat something soon" grinned hearing the kitsune stomach growl loudly as he grinned "Let's find somewhere to eat" he nodded as they walked through the city, his eyes scanning the places around them. Humans walked past them absentminded. But the kitsune seemed to take in every face, his eyes watching every human that passes them. Walking behind everyone watching their flank.

Bane took the lead as they finally got to town, having given Serena his jacket to hide her arm so no one would notice them. She was quiet, her head aching as she tried to sort things out in her head.

Bane stopped suddenly and pointed “we can hang there. I know the owner...” it was a pub called Vikings Axe, and he headed up and opened the door for them to file in. He kept watching the fox and Serena, hoping to think of something to help them both as he shut the door behind them.

Serena didn’t look up and wasn’t watching where she was going and ran into a partly open door, smacking her head hard. She groaned and stepped back, cursing in what sounded like her native tongue again. Bane looked at the other two and muttered “she isn’t okay right? She’s not normally that absent minded...”
