–The Airianna clan worship a deity known simply as Hōfu, who is a god of wealth, abundance, purity. They worship this deity like fanatics, will to serve his will and purify the world of its evil. The strange and unknown were once shunned by them, though they have, more or less, been annihilated by Tsukiko herself. Their kekkei genkai is extremely rare and thus not at all well known.--

Chakra Nature: N/A.
Other Appearance Details:Depicted in the link I her secondary body, which is currently 14.
Her current body possesses piercing crimson eyes and wears a silver chained necklace with a pendant that inscribed with Kumogakure's insignia.
Personality: Innocence lost and a harsh cold maintained, Tsukiko has long since become a rather airy, ethereal woman in mind and mannerism both. She thinks in loose vague terms, choosing only to cut straight to the point when it is necessary. She cares little for both people and humanity, making one wonder how she has managed to become raikage. She is a wise, weathered, and unyielding soul, unwilling to give anyone a chance to oppose her and her goals. While in many ways she wishes she could die, she has more or less accepted her fate and so she instead strives to spread her influence far and wide, using tactical and unconventional means to reach the end she desires. She is a nihilist at heart believing that, in the end, everything in life, and beyond it, is entirely pointless. Still she believes that while existence is a pointless thing, people ought to make the best of it and give it purpose for themselves, if not for others.
Confident and extremely cool in her demeanor, Tsukiko is, on multiple fields, an immovable object. Once her mind is wholly made up there is no changing it and attempts at such will be swiftly met with either culling word, or harsh action. This is the most veiled form of cruelty she expresses, implying that her actions beyond such can be not just cruel, but down right inhumane. She is mostly uncaring of the feelings of others, though she will consider them, or even attempt to understand them, if necessary. This is difficult for her as she is one that has experienced more anguish than many and this is without considering the dark nature of her existence.
She is secretive, never speaking of what she considers to be her curse, and she often gives off an air of mystery. This has, over time, caused the people of Kumogakure to consider her enigmatic.
History: A life beginning only to be tortured and ended. Tsukiko, or rather the singular anomaly of the Airianna who, rather than a name, was simply referred to as 'Nokemono': The Pariah, was once just a simple baby, cradled by the arms of her dying mother, and then protected only briefly by the strength of her father Karsei. It didn't last long, only for a few years did she remain safe from the
torturous stares of her clan. The rest had dark hair, blue eyes, and a tannish tone to their skin, but Tsukiko was different, too different. With her eyes a crimson red and her skin as white as winter's snow, she was scorned and pushed away. She, as a babe, was kept indoors with her mother, never allowed to venture out in fear that those who should have been her kin would do to her. She was an enigma and a pariah from the very moment she was born and she would stay one in mind till the moment that she dies, if ever such a day does come.
She grew gradually, her sickly body hardly able to cope with the harsh cold of the northern lands that had bore her unto this world. Her mother, Sairin, kept watch over her at all times, even going so far as to flee the small camp that their clan held to protect her child. With both child and husband in tow, the two would travel for years, with Tsukiko eventually becoming strong enough to walk, at the age of seven. Oddly, she seemed unaffected by the cold as if her body felt it, but she did not perceive its frigid touch. Thus her parents had to take care so as to guard her from its frosty bite.
Eventually they entered more temperate lands, continuing to travel to find a cure for what they considered a unique ailment. Tsukiko however, took little mind to their travels, simply enjoying the beauty that surrounded her. She almost constantly had a smile, though at times it was hard for anywhere they stopped people would shun her. It was as if they could
sense what she was, though none truly knew at the time. Her parents, begging and pleading, had many a doctor see her. Medicine men, holy men, anyone who they thought might have the answer.
They could discern no details regarding her strange
illness. However, the holy man knew one thing, whatever afflicted her was no normal disease, it was “an unholy influence,” the man had said. Moving on with disheartened faces, the three traveled further in search of a medicine for their daughter's plight. Yet all the while, without their knowledge, they were followed.
Trudging on through rain and rough terrain, her parents found themselves beginning to tire. Two years had passed and another followed suit till rumors of a mysterious sage began to spread throughout the world. Tsukiko's demeanor had become rougher over the years of being shunned by others, by the world. Things only worsened when a foreign illness struck her father. Concealing it from them, Karsei told his wife and daughter that he would travel to the next village and secure for them a place to stay.
Agreeing despite the worry nagging at her heart, Tsukiko's mother allowed it and so Karsei left. Traveling the remaining distance alone things were quiet between mother and daughter. Alone and exposed, the two made haste to the village, feeling as if eyes closely watched their every move.
Reaching the village safely, Tsukiko and her mother asked around and were able to quickly locate the location of Karsei. Thus they made haste, wishing to reunite with him, but alas when they entered the small straw floored building to find her father, they were instead met by the gaze of pristine blue eyes and the gory sight of Karsei's lacerated corpse laying in a puddle of blood, dirt, and hay.
Innocent eyes opened in pure shock, and older hands quickly used to cover them, Tsukiko would never forget the sight of red soaked body surrounded by blue eyed men. She simply stood there till her mother picked her up and ran in a futile attempt to escape the hands of their clan's assassins. To no avail as the murderers quickly subdued mother and then moved to do the same to the girl.
The men approached, knives in hand, their blue eyes raking over her with disgust, as if she were some abomination. “Come with us girl,” one of them said with his hoarse, dark voice. Tsukiko took one step back, her eyes filled with fear as the image of her father flashed through her mind once more. Becoming impatient, one of the other assailants yelled “Lets get on with it dammit, they're both going to die anyways!” The man then proceeded to thrust a kunai through the air to end her life. Her eyes screwed shut in terror and she shielded her face.
The kunai hit, but no blood was drawn, no skin pierced. There was no damage. Instead it simply fell and clattered against the ground. Looking on in dumbfounded silence the man looked to his comrades before they quickly caught her and tied her up, finding that even then there were unable to come into direct contact with her skin, as if some invisible field of energy kept them from touching her. Still, they took both women with them, leaving her father's corpse to rot.
---
Waking in an unfamiliar place by the sound of harsh voices, Tsukiko's eyes fluttered open and as they did she became aware that she was tied and in a bed. She had fallen asleep, though she knew not how, but now she was aware once more of the world around her. Looking around the empty room she tried to locate her mother or even ascertain her location by listening to the screams and harsh yells outside. None of it made sense, though she could hear someone's sounds of pain, she could not recognize from whom they emitted.
Frowning a bit she glanced down at her tied wrists and ankles, frowning and sweating lightly as she heard footsteps outside. They would come for her soon, the young girl thought, and she didn't know what they'd do. Then the door swung open smoothly and a woman entered. She possessed neither characteristic traits of those who had captured her, but instead had soft hazel eyes and short brown hair.
Looking at the woman with fear and scooting herself against the wall one side of the bed, Tsukiko tried to struggle against her bonds, but to no avail, “Stay away!” The woman faltered, frowning slightly before continuing to her and then sitting down in front of her with a gentle smile, though worry creased her brow. “Don't worry okay? I know this is scary, but as long as you cooperate they won't hurt you,” she said as gently as possible, meeting the young trembling girl's eyes. Tsukiko took a long moment, but nodded nonetheless, after which point the woman rose and retrieved a plate of food, which she set gently before Tsukiko's bed before turning and leaving the room.
As the door closed, the girl's eyes trained on it intently, she considered what those words might mean.
They won't hurt me as long as I don't struggle, she repeated in her head before dipping her head to the food and doing her best to eat with her hands bound. Luckily, they were bound in front of her, rather than behind her back.
As she ate her attention drifted away from her surroundings and she downed the food, not noticing someone had joined her until she heard the door click closed. Her eyes darted upwards and there another of the blue eyed men. Tsukiko's entire body cringed as he reached down to take her hand and lift her to her feet.
She cooperated, taking the cue and rising at his command. He then tied a small collar around her neck and led her with a rope out of the room. She did not struggle, but instead simply walked, following the man closely and making no sudden movements. She didn't know what she was in for, but one day she would regret her youthful naivety.
With time passing slowly, Tsukiko was, like this, taken to a small room in which she was questioned, prodded at inappropriately, and even used as target practice. The men, and sometimes even young boys would stand on one end of the room with her at the other and they would throw various small weapons at her. None of them ever made direct contact, but the girl would always flinch despite her natural shield's defense.
However, after many weeks of this horrible treatment, Tsukiko began to withdraw and become unaffected by their game of target practice. So, one day, the men led her to a different room, one filled with strange devices, where several men and women would attempt to saw off her limbs and while their efforts were futile for the first week or so, they eventually found that utilizing piercing strikes seemed to
dent the strange barrier which surrounded her body. Growing increasingly effective each day, the clansmen began to develope various weapons that actually managed to get a reaction out of the girl. Small bruises and tiny nicks were made in her skin and with each passing hour she became more and more frightened.
Then, one day, they stopped taking her from that horrible room, simply letting her stay there with all the tools. She was forced to sleep there, chained to a bed, and alone in the dark with nothing but the sounds of the night to distract her from what they'd attempt on the morrow.
Her fears were justified as the next day they tied her down especially tight, even bothering to bind her neck to the table as well so she couldn't move her head. Her heart beating frantically in her chest, the nine year old girl tried to see what they were doing, but it soon became apparent as one of them withdrew some kind of strange rounded lance-like object with a handle and a small mechanism on it, and began to bring it towards her.
Trying to move, Tsukiko squirmed lightly inciting a small grin from the man as he brought the small tool down against her barrier just over the joint of her exposed arm. He then focused, channeling his chakra through the lance-like tool and it thusly began to rotate much like a drill. Then it began to glow as it heated, small sparks of electricity and fire pushing off of it in tiny bursts as he began to drive it down against the barrier.
It began to dent inwards and she felt the pressure increase, a small bruise forming on her flesh as he continued to push the object down against her the force that had protected her thus far. Her eyes, which had been almost dead and withdrawn on days prior, now filled with terror as the object did the unthinkable and, after several minutes, pierced her barrier and stabbed into her flesh.
She screamed, the sound filling the atmosphere of the place as her barrier quickly recompensated in a futile attempt to repel the searing hot lance from her flesh. The screams continued, raking through even her torturers until they lifted the tool from her, her arm bleeding only slightly as the wound had been cauterized as it had been made. Shuddering and whimpering, Tsukiko was left alone, in pain and without food or drink.
The young girl barely managed to get through the next few days for each time they tested the horrible drill on her though they never hurt her so bad that the wounds would not heal. So they waited, letting the clan's women teach her how to tend her own wounds. Gradually Tsukiko was allowed more freedom, but she was not relieved for each day they would pierce the barrier, though they would not always pierce her flesh as well, it was a terrifying process nonetheless.
This went on for over a year and as she turned ten she was again allowed her own room to sleep in once more.
She would be led to her room every two nights when she was allowed to rest, for she could not sleep. Images of the drill and intense sensations would torture her in sleep where her captors could not. So she would lay awake, eyes wide open to keep away the horrible images from entering her mind. So, eventually, with the little free time she had, Tsukiko learned to control her sole protector. By overhearing her captors outside of her small room she managed to overhear discussions about chakra and various jutsu. Thus she came to understand such concepts and to realize what protected her body from
most harm.
The days went on, and she wished she could simply shut it all out like she had before, but the pain was too real and her nerves too raw for her to withdraw from it all. Still she had no will to resist them for doing so would only make things worse, so she did her best to cooperate, just as the hazel-eyed woman had told her. However, as she endured the torture and began to mature she would hear the strange screams emanate through whatever place she was in at night. They came from far away, but she figured they only sounded far off because of the walls that surrounded her at all times.
Remembering her own torture, Tsukiko began to wonder what they had done with her mother. She hoped she was still alive...she wished she could see her again when all this was over...if it ever ended that was.
A few weeks passed with the same unchanging, but painful activities. They never gave her leeway, only ever allowing her three days of respite to heal her wounds with both chakra and the body's natural abilities. Then, one night, the same hazel eyed woman came in and beckoned her from the room, stealthily leading her through the clan's compound and to a small tent. Oddly the screams were silent tonight and the entire compound made not a single peep. The woman turned to her and spoke, whispering quietly as she looked directly into Tsukiko's crimson eyes, “I beseech that you remain quiet lest you wake some of the clansman. If they find you here you will suffer even greater pain than you are already.” A frown spread across Tsukiko's face her voice replying with a question, “Then w-why did you bring me here?” The woman gave her a solemn, serious look before looking at the tent and saying a single phrase, “...because your mother is here.”
Eyes widening, the girl rushed past the woman and into the tent to behold a terrible sight. It was indeed her mother, but her body appeared beaten and haggard and in incredibly bad condition. Malnourished and beaten up, bruises covering both body and face, with her clothes in rags, barely enough to cover her form. As Tsukiko stared at her mother with horror and worry on her face. Her mother, Sairin, did not react to her presence, seemingly only to stir slightly in an attempt to make herself more comfortable, which was certainly difficult considering her arms were manacled above her head, leaving her body to slump against the wall of the tent behind her.
Rushing to her, Tsukiko stood before her mother, lifting her head gently by tipping her chin. As she did so she noticed the anguish in her mother's eyes, but that anguish soon faded as a look of realization came over the woman and she tried to move forwards to embrace her daughter. Her attempt at movement only incited a pained grown. Tsukiko hugged her, gingerly letting herself cling to her mother's mistreated body. Tears streamed from her eyes and despite her pain, Sairin managed to calm Tsukiko, gently kissing her temple and smiling weakly at her daughter she spoke, “Don't worry honey, we'll find some way out of this, I'm sure.” Tsukiko nodded, biting back tears and swallowing hard.
Their reunion was however brief, as the woman called Tsukiko back, pulling her away from her mother and quickly whisking her back to her room, where she left her without a word.
Still Tsukiko did not know the woman's name.
Over the space of the next few weeks Tsukiko began to scream less and struggle more against her captors. At night she would scheme, plot, and experiment with her barrier, attempting to turn it into a weapon. She had to escape...she had to rescue her mother. Still her stamina waned and she stopped resisting again, simply trying not to give them the satisfaction of her screams. Finally after another two months she felt she was ready and so the next time that the woman came to her to deliver her meal, Tsukiko gave her a look and grabbed her wrist firmly, speaking softly as she did so. “Come to me tonight,” nodding her head in response, Tsukiko would let her wrists go and eat her food as per usual.
That night the woman came to her and Tsukiko told her to remove her the bindings on her wrists and ankles. The woman complied and so Tsukiko possessed no bonds but her own. After this she had her retie the knots, but differently, allowing them to be easily slipped out of. Nodding to her and iterating the remainder of her plan, Tsukiko sent the woman away and slept that night, for once not haunted by nightmares.
Upon waking she let the men escort her towards the building where they would torture her for another two days. However, as they reached the point nearest to her mother's tent she quietly slipped from her bonds and focused her chakra outwards. Then she stepped back, first thrusting he hand forwards, surrounded by a claws of chakra, to pierce the man's back who led her and tear at his spine and nerve bundle.
She then whirled and slashed at the second man, disemboweling his abdomen as the chakratic blades tore three gashes across his body. Then she ran to the tent to find her mother still chained. A determined look on her face, Tsukiko dashed forwards and slashed at the manacles until they broke and she could extract her mother. It was then that the hazel eyed woman arrived to help her carry the weak bodied Sairin alongside Tsukiko as she tried to flee the compound.
“Stop,” one of the men yelled at them as he emerged from the torture chamber unarmed. Tsukiko glared at him, her crimson eyes unsettling him slightly. “Let her go or I...I'll kil all of you!” The crowd that had surrounded them laughed collectively as they looked between one another. The man spoke again, “Very well, we'll release her from he torment, but you stay with us, little girl.” Tsukiko stood there, unflinching. She then heard the sickening sound of a blade against flesh.
Turning to look behind her she saw the woma with the hazel eyes slit he mother's throat with a small dagger with no remorse on her expression. However, in her eyes was a look that begged for both forgiveness and understanding, as a knife was pressed against her own back to force her to the action. “There, she is released, she will never suffer at our hands again,” the man said as a sick smile spread across his face. Tsukiko's eyes filled with tears and rage before she turned, dashed at high speed towards the man and raised her clawed hand to rip his heart from his chest. The man's smile did not falter as he withdrew the drill from behind his back and thrust it forwards and straight through Tsukiko's shield, piercing it and then her arm.
There had been rage and despair and now agony joined them as the drill pierced her shoulder and dug into her bone, drilling a hole into its surface. A soundless scream ripped through her nerves and she collapsed onto the ground, unable to fall unconscious to escape the pain.
The man simply glanced down at he, laughing lightly as she twitched on the ground, and then ordered the others to return or assist in moving her to the medical bay. For the next few days they attempted to properly heal her, but to no avail. He had done too much damage and her life was quickly fading away.
She didn't even last a day over two weeks. Her body expired and for the first time Tsukiko felt free, as if she had awoke from a slumber. However something was wrong...she felt weightless and unfettered, as if she was unattached to everything around her. At this point she attempted to notify the hazel eyed woman, for no one appeared able to see her.
Yet, when she touched her, her hand moved right through her. She was dead.
She was a ghost!
Baffled as to what she should do, Tsukiko simply drifted around, even moving to look at her now dead body. She tried to enter it, but it did not work. She was truly dead...or was she.
On the third day after her death, Tsukiko entered the chambers of the clan head, the man who had thwarted her escape plan, and let he intuition guide her. Her mind took a back seat as she felt herself gently whittle away at the man's mind, entering his very core, and beginning to dissolve his defenses. Unaware of what she was doing, Tsukiko eventually entered the man's body after which point she felt his mind before it was assimilated into her own and she was flooded with thoughts, memories, and a variety of other mental stimuli.
The body that had been the chief's acted normal for a few days, and as Tsukiko began to regain her own sense of self, she realized that months had past since she had begun the process. So finally on the 8th month she gained full control of the body and her shield manifested around he new, male, body.
Baffled, Tsukiko hid the evidence of what she had done, covering the his eyes with rudimentary sun glasses and hiding the body's hair beneath a hood. From there she used his memories to mimic the personality he had possessed and so no one noticed. As she studied the skills that the man possessed and practiced some of the most basic ones, Tsukiko learned the most basic academy techniques.
A few days after she had mastered those techniques she confronted the hazel eyed woman, asking he her name and revealing both the traits that revealed who she truly was; her eyes and hair exposed. The woman made no reaction, as if she had already known, or encountered ones such as her before.
Apparently she had, but prior to Tsukiko such anomalies had been promptly sacrificed to the deity which the Airianna clan gave their fealty. There had only been two other such occurrences in history, and apparently the hazel eyed woman...was one of them. The woman was far older than she appeared and her name was Noeke. She managed to find a way to conceal the definitive traits of her affliction.
It was after this night that Noeke gradualy taught Tsukiko the las three reflections, making sure that they were ingrained into her mind as completely as possible. When Tsukiko had memorized them, Noeke began to appear less and less often till she disappeared entirely, her fate remaining unknown to Tsukiko.
Her place in the world understood and a body obtained, Tsukiko took time to further manifest the shields that protected her....kept her alive. However with such meager amounts of chakra, she could only manifest the one, and half of the second. At this point, her mind still that of a foolish child, Tsukiko brought the clan together for a meeting, figuring that even with their collective skills they'd be incapable of facing against her.
She was wrong.
Proclaiming her true identity and removing the items of her disguise, she attacked the clan en mass. She managed to defeat only several before she was again struck, this time from behind, with the strange device that was the drill. This time however, she could not simply exit the body and instead found herself in a senseless location, devoid of any stimuli. She had been sealed, but only temporarily for after awhile they extracted her and showed to her a body, which she possessed quickly, its mind already rendered mostly inert.
Soon she was embodied again, but this time the clan had already surrounded her. There was no escape and seals were laid over the body. It would be pointless to disassociate herself now, instead she would listen to their commands, allowing them to study her more, and eventually send her to do their dirty work.
She was forced to infiltrate the compounds of other clans and do away with them, slaughtering them entirely. In this way the Airianna clan became well known throughout the time of the First Ninja War. They began to create their own territory, but they were using a tool that they could not properly control. So, on the eve of Tsukiko's fifteenth birthday, the clan was taken unawares. During an assault on a clan, Tsukiko's body died, for the third time. By now of course she was used to it, the difference being she had learned that the next time she inhabited a body, things would be different.
Having prepared a member of her clan prior to her death by exposing him continually to the first reflection, Tsukiko quickly possessed the body and went into a time where the body appeared sickly and weak. She utilized the transformation technique on it, maintaining it with what little chakra she had to spare, in order to hide the physical changes that possession caused. Finally, after three days of adjusting and an additional week to fully manifest her shield, Tsukiko suppressed the rest of the transformation and then one day emerged from her room, eyes crimson, and hair white as the snow.
The clan was baffled as to how she had possessed the new clan head's second son, who was roughly 20. As they brought the tool out to defeat her, a second shield sprung from the first, pushing them away and isolating them from her. Then, as they attempted a more physical assault, the third layer formed itself. Their efforts now meaningless and futile, Tsukiko killed each and every one of them, leaving only the innocent women and children who she could not bring herself to kill.
Each man fell, some skewered, some crushed between shield and structure. She gave them no mercy, her eyes filled with rage and a look of satisfaction with each death.
None, but their progeny and the mothers who had bore them, survived. Tsukiko knew they would grow to hate her and any others who might inherit the clan's dormant abilities, but she didn't care and so she then departed, leaving her clan in ruin.
Her last act in that body was to kill the body she inhabited by simply disassociating herself from the host body. Without her soul's chakra to keep it alive, it quickly perished and she moved on to search once more for a vessel.
---
Starts when she's 15.
Eventually coming to inhabit a new body once more, Tsukiko began one of many futile attempts to rid herself of the guilt that settled in her soul. She had murdered many people and while she felt no remorse for the clan which should have been her own, she was crushed by the weight of the stolen lives of those her clan had forced her to slaughter.
>First, to atone, she goes around to attempt to protect different smaller unnamed villages>She was unsuccessful each time as her presence seemed to only draw more attention to said villages>Continues to despair and bury herself in grief, sometimes even being betrayed by the villages where they would give her over to the enemy>Eventually she more or less comes to the conclusion, after being killed several times through various methods, sometimes even experimented on, that life has no intrinsic value>Gradually her opinion of the world and its inhabitants darkens due to the atrocious actions committed during the war>She continuously enters what would be suicidal situations in a futile attempt to permanently end her life>After many failed attempts, she gives up this goal figures that as long as she is alive she should at least attempt to either better the world or rid the evil from it>Begins her attempts at such until she concludes she must become member of a village so as to better achieve her goals>Ends when she's 31.---
