To be fair, he said he wanted to wrap it up so that way it didn’t drag out and become something that people were ultimately disappointed with which I can’t blame him for. It kills my soul that it was way too short for my liking but at the same time, Alex said that he left it open ended for a reason. That if he ever felt the pull to enter Gravity Falls again that he had an easy way to do it.

You both bring up valid viewpoints and good counterpoints, however the story was told masterfully even despite how short it lasted and the fact that it only ran two seasons made me feel like I actually needed to care about the characters. It let the viewer fall in love with how deep the story Dipper is narrarating and how much it was trying to tell a well thought out story rich with so much detail that as I said before; the community finds new things to theorize everyday.

To me the show was more than just a good television program, it didn't pander to the viewer or lead it's viewer on with malcontent. It was a story that left you wondering and truly made you think about it in depth, to me that is what made this show the best.

Honestly, I’m still impressed how much emotions they packed into just two season. I literally cannot find a single character I don’t like which is rare for a show.

@Akayaofthemoon Some shows try to make you feel a certain way about it's characters. I liked how Stan seemed like a greedy curmudgeon but on a level he really loved Mabel and Dipper more than anything, Soo wasn't just a lovable dope but he was wise in his own right and a true friend to the protagonists.

"Gravity Falls is where my grandpa Gus grew up, but after his wife passed away due to leukemia he decided to sell the deed to the house his parents built and moved with his daughter Nelly to Portland where I was born shorty before she disappeared.

That is all that he told me up until last week when he decided it was time I know a bit about my mother and her connection to the mystery surrounding Gravity Falls.

Our family had deep roots in the history of that strange town, and infamously known for our great-great-great-grandmother commissioning an art piece depicting something triangular with an eye, I think? Anyways apparently she went insane after finishing the painting and disappeared into Gravity Falls forest.

The article that Gus showed me said that before my great-great-great-grandmother disappeared she uttered the phrase 'Matron to the woods and lost to the ages as the devil directed my daughters are bound to his eternal cages' which makes no sense but I guess nothing here ever does.

Anyways, you said you want to know why we ended up here? Gus became homesick as he raised me and eventually he started taking odd jobs to put away more money for a 'rainy day' as he put it. But I always hoped it was for the deed he sold all those years ago, and I was super stoked that we were moving to the town where he grew up.

So yeah, that is pretty much my story in a nutshell well actually I would say it was a tough nutshell to swallow."

Which one sounds like it would be a good theme for my character?

1 of Nathan's Themes

The music box ones kinda seem like old timey especially the first one. More in the theme that would fit Sidney Leblanc than Nathan. I'll be honest I'm just really eager to start this and bored out of my damn mind. Some imput would be cool too.

Out of those three. I really like the last one.

The first one just doesn’t give me Nathaniel vibes for some reason. Like nothing is wrong with it and I quite enjoy listening to it but I don’t think Nathaniel when I hear it.

The second one while one of my fav music box versions seems too straight forward if that makes sense. I see Nathaniel as more nervous or maybe a bit shy type so for me this version clashes with how I picture him but again, that’s just from my own first idea.

The last one has layers, it reminds me a bit of his backstory. That there are other parts that make up the mystery to his past and what has brought him there. It’s still is just bells but it sounds more orchestra like to my ears which I connect to artistic and creativity which I think is up Nathaniel’s alley so to speak.

So yeah! I’m glad you are excited and hope my opinion on the music helps :3

Man, that’d be weird if for some reason, all the characters had some connection to the theme song, or otherwise just knew it from somewhere, but couldn’t remember why or where they’d heard it.
