"Slushie, Burrow underground and use Defense Curl!" Slushie quickly spun into the ground like a drill to avoid the attack. Slushie curled up into a ball in prep for his next move.

Aki chuckled and said "Ganger, wait for him to appear then hit him with focus blast again". Gengar vanished from sight and would wait for the Sandshrew to reappear constent moving in order to not give away his position.

Slushie rocketed out of the hole to use Ice Ball, but it missed since Ganger was gone. (It's an Alolan Sandslash, not sandshrew)

Ganger appeared behind Slushie and fired off the focus blast at point blank range, he had been building up the power while he waited so it would hit with more force then normal.

Slushie was KO'd, unable to withstand that move. Liam recalled him. Liam sent out Drakolak next. "Shadow Ball!"

Aki recalled Gengar and sent out Sawsbuck who took the Shadow ball since its normal typing made it immune to Ghost moves. "Stomping Tantrum" Aki command as Sawsbuck began kicking up rock at Drakolak.

Shiranui estimated that Sawsbuck's level was close to being at parity with Drakloak's. "Drakloak is a bit of a glass cannon," he mused, "They'll need to hit hard and fast."

Draklok was it square in the head. "Flamethrower!"

Considering its damage from the previous battle against Slushie, Sawsbuck was knocked out by the flamethrower, Aki chuckled to himself as he said "You fought well Sawsbuck". He then sent Ganger out once more, "Shadow ball" He said as Gengar fired off its Shadow ball.

"Phantom Force," Liam ordered as Drakolak dove into the shadows to avoid the attack and was prepped to leap out and attack

"Follow it into the shadows Gangar, don't give him a moment to breath" Aki command as Ganger also went into the shadows to use Phantom force as well

Draklok emerged from the shadows, but missed the target

Ganger soon appeared out of the same shadow aiming at Draklok, Aki Ganger seemed to be very good at follow each beat an opponent had, reinforcing Aki mind set as a tactician first and a battler second.

Draklok was hit and KO'd by a critical hit. Liam had now lost two of the four Pokemon he could use for the battle. Beckham the Cinderace emerged from his ball, ready to go next.

"A Cinderace? I like the choice, it's a fast pokemon and can learn moves that should hurt Ganger, let me see just how fast it is" Aki said, as Gengar immediately fired off a shadow ball.

"Pyro Ball!" Liam called. Beckham kicked a fire ball into the Shadow Ball's trajectory.

The two attack would hit and explode as Gangar cans though the smoke using Slude wave to try and poison Beckham.

Shiranui had been watching and having looked the two Pokémon up, he found they were evenly matched stat-wise and move-wise. He did find one move that could give Beckham an edge. "I hope Liam taught Beckham that move," he mused.

Beckham was hit by the Sludge Wave. "Use Assurance!"
