"This will be an official World Coronation match," The Rotomdroid announced. "Each combat may use one of the following: Mega Evolution, Z Move, and Dynamax. Each trainer is permitted the use of three Pokemon, and substitutions are allowed. The battle will end when one trainer is out of Pokemon. The winner of this Ultra Rank Match will have a chance to battle and get into the Master's Eight. Currently ranked at 55, we have Johto Champion, 'Dragon Master' Liam Coleman. His opponent will be the currently ranked 13, Head of the Battle Frontier, 'Pyramid King' Brandon! Now Trainers, call out your first pokemon!"
"Regirock, I acquire your assistance!" Brandon declared.
"Smaug, it's Time to shine!" Liam called, sending out Charizard.

"Zap Cannon is very inaccurate, but is guaranteed to paralyze if it connects, Liam thought to himself. "That'sz why he's setting up with Lock On. It will keep me from pulling any tricks to wiggle away from the attack. Wait, I have one idea to get around this."
"Goodra, Dragon Tail!" Goodra smacked Regirock with his tail and forced it back to its ball. Registeel was dragged out.

"Goodra, Flamethrower!" Goodra unleashed a jet of flames that did considerable damage to the metal titan.
"Flash Cannon!" Brandon called. The attack landed a direct hit on Goodra.
"Goodra, try Flamethower again! Liam called. This time, it got the burn. Brandon called for Lock on again, to which Liam countered with Dragon Tail again. This time, Regice was dragged out. As this was not a good matchup for Goodra, Liam recalled him for Smaug.

"If I Mega Evovled Smaug, it would activte drought. I could then hope to quickly melt away Regice before it pulls anything like Hail or Sheer Cold. Of course, Hail is a danger to his other two, but one of them probably has Sandstorm as it doesn't hurt either of them. Meanwhile both of them can harm almost anyone on my team, regardless of who I use. As far as I know, Brandon doesn't have any of the three gimicks. I guess it's my best bet."
Liam activated his key stone and Mega Evolved Smaug to Mega Charizard Y and called for Flamethrower.

Liam called for Rock Smash, but Duraladon was too paralyzed to take an action.

Registeel was starting to look worse for wear. Brandon called for Metal Claw while Liam called for another Rock Smash. Duraladon managed to move and both attacks landed. The two Pokemon landed with their backs to one another. Duraladon bucked and fell over KO'd, while burn damage made Registeel follow. Brandon had to send Regirock back out, and Liam sent Goodra out.

"Solarbeam!" Liam called. The grass attack charged through and landed a direct hit on Regirock, who managed to hold on, though it seemed just barely. Granted, it can be difficult to tell on the Regis due to the lack of a traditional face. Regirock fired Zap Cannon and got a critical hit, KO'ing Smaug. It was down to Regirock vs Goodra

Both Pokemon looked straight ahead at the other, as the trainers did the same with one another.
"Hyper Beam!" Brandon called the same time Liam called: "Dragon Pulse!"
The two beams crashed in the middle of the arena, causing a huge explosion that smashed some panes of glass out from the Battle Pyramid into the Crown Tundra. All they could do is wait for the smoke to clear.
The two minutes it took for the smoke and dust to clear felt like a year, Liam was deeply nervous about the result. When it cleared, Regirock was on the ground, face down. Goordra was supporting itself with his tail and panting heavily.
The Rotomdroid flew over to take a closer look.
"Regirock is unable to battle, the winner is Goodra! That means the victory goes to: 'Dragon Master' Liam Coleman! As of right now, there has been a change in the rankings!"

The Rotomdroid then flew out of the roof. Liam ran out and hugged Goodra, praising it for the win. Goodra was happy about the win, but fell over from exhaustion soon after. Liam recalled Goodra to his Luxury Ball and approached Brandon as he opened the Pyramid back up to let the drone out.
Brandon and Liam shook hands and thanked each other for the good battle. An Assitant wheeled out a Healing Machine so the six used Pokemon could be healed. He then asked the heroes if they wanted to come investigate these ruins with him, as he has an idea of what might be inside of them.
