The Church of Albuquerque, bestowed by God Almighty, has authorized you, among others that will join you in your most holy duty, entrance to the Valles Caldera National Preserve. An abandoned house, possessed by the spawns and hosts of otherworldly demons, requires your skills and unique method of disposing of those unholy beings. Within the deepest bowels of the house is Célia Castilla, the last remaining member of the Castilla family. Poor Célia, bless her soul, has been overtaken by dark powers that be. In the past few weeks, the police reported multiple car crashes and murders. The Church authority has established a direct connection between the Castilian house with those unfortunate events. For the safety of the preserve, the Lord Almighty, and people, we need your services. As per usual, the Church will bring everything that you will need. A Chevrolet Chevelle SS will be parked outside your motel building. Exorcist equipment, including your unique “tools,” will be within the Chevelle. The keys to the cars will be mailed to you at midnight, 12:00 PM. Godspeed.

The night is restless. A rainstorm has introduced itself, followed closely by its cousin - thunder. It might be a mere coincidence that the sky cries with thunderous applause. Likewise, it might be powerful beings beyond the understanding of anyone. Who knows. Either way, no one, or thing, will stop you. The Church has given you your task, and you will do your duty faithfully as an exorcist. The motel housing, a room with a single bed, a drawer desk, and other furniture found common, is no better than the outside. It smells of drugs, alcohol, and adultery. There are clear stains of brownish color on both wall and ceiling, and the bed is quite unsanitary as well. If there was any other option, the Church would have taken it, but this motel is closest to the Castilian household. The atmosphere is not helped either by the sheer fact that today is also Halloween. Given your line of work, your suspicions might as well be right. An unease flows throughout with no end in sight until you properly give the poor girl some rest.

The night continues to torture you, but a saving grace enters your room. Three knocks are heard before a plain envelope is slipped under the door. The envelope is wet, but the Church had the foresight to make it waterproof. One of your fellow priests grabs and opens open the envelope. It is indeed the key that the Church has promised to give you. Not only that, but the messenger has perfectly timed the delivery at twelve o'clock. Without question, all of you raise from your dormant state. One by one, each person exits. An unavoidable mirror, installed on the right side of the wall, casts a reflection on the exiting persons. For one reason or another, all of you turn your head towards your own image and asks - who am I?

Authentic mapo tofu is powerfully spicy with both conventional "heat" spiciness and the characteristic málà (numbing spiciness) flavor of Sichuan cuisine. Jin always portrays himself with a smile. Usually a soft, gentle smile can be found on his face not too dissimilar to that of a patient parent. He is very gentle and soft-spoken, always having a kind word to say to people around him. Jin is not prone to anger, in-fact it seems nigh-impossible to truly rile him up (atleast, if you're human). He is considered an oddity amongst his fellow exorcist, considering his line of work and how it can, eventually, mentally and physically degrade any man. At the very least, the Korean has a seemingly endless amount of mental fortitude.

Jin is one of the few exorcists in South Korea as the prominence of Protestant churches were very low at the time. Many visibly recoil when they see a priest with many scars and gashes on him- his most prominent one a large gash over his left eye (The eye still remains fully functional, however). He meets their reactions with a hearty chuckle and usually jokes it- whether stating that he was an ex-convict or was part of a bike gang (Kkhangpae (깡패)). That said, he uses clothing to cover up as much of the scars as he can (even using an eyepatch at times to hide his largest gash). This is because Jin has some reservations about his scars which stems from the stigma in South Korea about personal beauty.

Underneath, Jin has some misgivings with his faith. Ultimately he believes in God's visions and plans. He's even waved away all the natural and man-made suffering that plagues the world. His faith, at times, can be shaken by the unnatural sufferings that occur. After five or so years of exorcisms, seeing all those whose suffered causes his heart to ache. He believes that none deserve to suffer from daemons, and wonders why a kind, benevolent God would allow such preternatural suffering to occur to his followers.

- Consecrated Iron Batons: Jin wears these batons in a reverse grip. He uses it to fight defensively, it burns and sears daemons who come into contact with it. It is a simple iron baton blessed by his church and has been his main weapon of choice in close-quarters since beginning his exorcisms.

- Colt Paterson: A gun given to Jin by his clergy. He wasn't privy to the inner specifics on how it was forged and made- just what it is capable of. The design is plain other than an etching of 'Psalm 27:1' on the grip. The bullets it carries can harm and potentially kill daemons given a good enough shot. Jin usually has it on his hip, with it's holster. Jin maintains it on a (needlessly) daily basis.

- Vials of Holy Water: Small vials of holy water blessed by his church. They hang on his belt. The use is simple enough, throw on a daemon if need-be.

Jin's first few years as an exorcist was bloody, to say the least. His inexperience and naivety had led to many near-death experiences. As such, he's built up a large tolerance for pain (during this period); his pain threshold is higher than most normal humans. It would take an inordinate amount of pain to get him to scream out in agony.

Jin's fighting style is mainly based on speed due to his lithe Korean frame. His weapons are used to block (while simultaneously hurting daemons) while retreating and counterattacking. This is due to personal experience, as he thinks it folly to overpower a daemon as opposed to using speed to outmaneuver. He is adept at using his own, rather unorthodox style, baton. He can also turn to a normal grip to extend his reach but lower his defense. To supplement his short reach is his Colt- he has near-perfect aim on despite being an older type of gun.

Aside from those specifics, Jin has memorized multiple exorcism chants and can recite it at a quick pace. So far, he's had alot of success with the exorcism found in 'Rituale Romanum'. He has knowledge of turning water into holy water and can use it on the fly if need arise.

Inwardly, Alistair harbors a deep resentment for demons and the unrepentant and can be particularly cold or angry towards them. He isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and believes that ridding the world of these undesirables would be better for everyone. To him, being denied salvation is a small price to pay for the opportunity to save the world, and he'd readily give it up again if he had to. He's also fiercely protective, and perhaps even a little possessive when it comes to those he truly cares about. Gilded with gold and jewels, this weapon was meant to be used to anoint members of an ancient order of holy knights, rather than be used in true combat. Although heavy and unwieldy, it feels light and fast in the hands of the Ordained. Its edge is dull when used against the innocent, while unrepentant sinners find it sharp-- enemies of the Lord cannot even bear to be in the blade's presence, finding the sword to cut supernaturally deep. Alistair keeps the blade in its scabbard, only ever pulling it free if he knows he must purify.

- Holy Bible: A heavy-set grimoire, containing the Word of God. Alistair has each page committed to memory, but he finds the presence of the tome comforting. He can also recite scripture and verses directly from the Bible, causing many demons to recoil in pain. Weaker demons may burn away, though stronger ones may merely be weakened by such acts.

- Reliquary: A leather satchel containing holy symbols, scripture, and other objects that are anathema to demons. Supplies include, but are not limited to: vials of holy water, silver crucifixes, a ritual dagger, a jeweled grail, notes on religious rituals, images depicting the Lord, his Son, the Virgin Mary, and various other Saints, wooden stakes, blessed nails, a hammer, a set of candles, and of course, bread and wine.

Despite his thin, seemingly frail physique, Alistair is deceptively tough, his physical and mental fortitude impressive even among other exorcists. He was shown to have a prodigious talent for the arts of battle. He leverages this training to great effect during combat, combining his talent and training together. Fast, strong, and tough, the man is a dangerous combatant in close quarters.

When wielding the holy sword, Alistair uses traditional techniques from Fiore dei Liberi, a form of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) that revolves around the use of a longsword. When fighting without his blade, he uses a street-boxing style, honed through a turbulent youth in the streets of post-war Rome. If pushed, the man isn't afraid to fight dirty, having learned a long time ago that if there are lives on the line, then no technique is too dishonorable.

In addition, the man knows the entirety of the Bible, the Old and New Testament having been committed to memory. If he encounters a situation where his blade will do him no good, he always has the Gospel and the Scriptures to fall back upon. When even that is tested, he taps into reserves of willpower and determination rarely ever seen, except in men with nothing to lose, but everything to gain.

Yu is a conscientious individual in both his personality and work ethic. The man is unexpectedly noted to put other peoples' welfare before his and goes through great lengths to keep his own struggles unheard of. This particular exorcist is not known for expressing his emotions in front of people and is often seen with a layer of frost resting permanently on his face. Quiet, reserved, and rigid. If winter was a person, you'd be looking right at him. Additionally, his quick temper and sharp tongue go hand-in-hand to emulate the type of cold that bites.

As an apothecary during his downtime, you can always find him neck-deep in his work. Spending consecutive days painstakingly refining a formula for his inventions is his standard of perfection, but really only aims to improve for the sake of others. Unbeknownst to many around him, he holds himself in much lower regard in order to allow others to rise above. As a result, Yu Hua is reflective by nature but often tends to fall victim to self-blame.

The faith he has in the Lord is one he takes pride in. Admittedly with all his heart, it is what's carried him through these painful years that would have weathered anybody else down. Consequently, there can be moments of strong doubt that affect his conviction - that his belief in God is one born only out of selfishness; his innate desire to be needed. However, an excerpt from the Bible rings true for everytime that shadow threatened to rear its head:

- 救灾 【Jiù Zāi；aka Disaster Relief】: A whip made out of chained iron for flexibility and ease of use. Woven within the rings of metal are Yu Hua's latin inscriptions engraved in tiny handwriting - this is meant to enhance the grip on the demon and weaken it over time. This whip is fashioned with sharp spokes which allows it to dig into flesh, and subdue demons efficiently.

- 介入 【Jiè Rù；Intervention】: Yu Hua's prized censer. When not kept in his room for aromatherapy, it is out with him on missions that require extra effort to overwhelm certain entities. With a slim Asian build that prioritizes mobility over bulk, Yu is more of an endurance-based runner than a fighter. Over the years of experience, his lung capacity and stamina have improved significantly. Given any situation, positioning always takes priority as the support. He is always seen darting from here to there to successfully subdue entities, assist teammates, and carry out his attacks - wasting no breath of his while simultaneously tiring demons out. Every move is calculated to the best of his ability - for efficiency's sake and also so that he doesn't run out of things to burn for his censor.

Yu's fighting style focuses primarily on weakening his target's state with Jieru, his censer. Upon entering the fight he can light dried plants or wood in the diffuser, offer up a quick prayer, and let the smoke fill the room. The smoke puts the entity in varying stages of dizziness or nausea, wholly dependent on environmental factors such as the wind, and the distance of the smoke. It is up to him to close the distance between his censer and the entity, making him a good target for distraction. This ultimately allows his teammates an easier time to take down and exorcise the entity.

Should this plan fail, the next option would be to use Jiuzai, his whip. This method always pains him deeply, because more often than not, the entity's vessel is left viciously scarred by Jieru's thorns in an effort to subdue. However, there are just some missions where the bigger picture matters more, even if he himself tends to have a hard time believing it.

As an apothecary, Yu is also adept in attending to wounds and identifying ailments inflicted by demonic possessions. Mending flesh wounds on the fly are a piece of cake, though he'd rather it not let it get to that point for any of his party.
In the years he has been working as an exorcist, he is usually put in charge of recovery and aftercare for the demon's vessel. Great care is taken when doing so, in order to return the human to its former glory - body and soul.

Yu is a conscientious individual in both his personality and work ethic. The man is unexpectedly noted to put other peoples' welfare before his and goes through great lengths to keep his own struggles unheard of. This particular exorcist is not known for expressing his emotions in front of people and is often seen with a layer of frost resting permanently on his face. Quiet, reserved, and rigid. If winter was a person, you'd be looking right at him. Additionally, his quick temper and sharp tongue go hand-in-hand to emulate the type of cold that bites.

As an apothecary during his downtime, you can always find him neck-deep in his work. Spending consecutive days painstakingly refining a formula for his inventions is his standard of perfection, but really only aims to improve for the sake of others. Unbeknownst to many around him, he holds himself in much lower regard in order to allow others to rise above. As a result, Yu Hua is reflective by nature but often tends to fall victim to self-blame.

The faith he has in the Lord is one he takes pride in. Admittedly with all his heart, it is what's carried him through these painful years that would have weathered anybody else down. Consequently, there can be moments of strong doubt that affect his conviction - that his belief in God is one born only out of selfishness; his innate desire to be needed. However, an excerpt from the Bible rings true for everytime that shadow threatened to rear its head:

- 救灾 【Jiù Zāi；aka Disaster Relief】: A whip made out of chained iron for flexibility and ease of use. Woven within the rings of metal are Yu Hua's latin inscriptions engraved in tiny handwriting - this is meant to enhance the grip on the demon and weaken it over time. This whip is fashioned with sharp spokes which allows it to dig into flesh, and subdue demons efficiently.

- 介入 【Jiè Rù；Intervention】: Yu Hua's prized censer. When not kept in his room for aromatherapy, it is out with him on missions that require extra effort to overwhelm certain entities. Her days in the Red Army instilled a total lack of fear that bordered on irrational recklessness that was later tempered by her time fighting demons across the Soviet Union and United States. In her mind there is neither room for hesitation nor impatience, she takes in the situation and makes the call before sticking through it until the end. The Lord's work is a calling of the utmost importance and any time wasted on overreactions or inactions is an affront to His name.

Her devotion to Heaven is what keeps Ekaterine going after a life of loss and betrayal. Made bitter by the early loss of her parents and the harsh treatment she received from her aunt and uncle the senseless violence she witnessed in the Great Patriotic War nearly broke her, left a wandering wreck who quiet literally stumbled into monastery life. Even now after being forced to flee to the U.S during the anti-religious purges of the 60s Mother Ekaterine's faith is what keeps her from spiraling into a dark place. She sees her work hunting the Serpent's minions as her way of giving back to the Lord for saving her life.

Just as she takes pride (in a sense anyway) in her duties mentoring the younger sisters or feeding the poor so to does she feel good during the hunt. While a lust for the blood of man would certainly be cause for troubled self-reflection she sees no fault in enjoying herself when driving the demons out of the kingdoms of man. Prone to making promises of great violence against her enemy in Russian, Georgian and English Ekaterine does her best to make good on each and every one of them.

Most people would be unable to handle the recoil from this blessed machine pistol without its optional stock but Ekaterine's strength of belief (as well as well strength of body) gives her the discipline required to wield it.
-Holy Oils: A bit of the Oil of Catechumens used in baptisms, some soap and good old gasoline mixed together in glass bottles to be lit and thrown. The result is a blessed blaze that sticks to demons and melts them where they stand. When asked about the propriety of such a weapon the Stavrophore holds that if the Father above took issue then he would surely show her a better way.
-SN-46 "Steel Bib":When Satan told the Lord Christ to throw himself from the top of the temple Christ rebuked him by saying "Again it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord, your God to the test.'" Likewise Ekaterine relies on not just faith but solid steel worn under her cassock to guard her body from the enemy. Soviet machine work was combined with Christian blessings to forge armor that can withstand bullets, blades and blood magic. Up to a point anyway.
-Duty Bag:A veshmeshok filled with everything a demon hunter on the go might need. A copy of the Scripture, icons of Christ and the Virgin Mary, a change of clothes, money, and snacks as well as spare ammo, oils, salts, consecrated iron filings and a Makarov pistol that once belonged to her abbess back in the Soviet Union.

Already a trained soldier before entering the Church's demon hunters Eketerine is a skilled gunslinger, fitting considering that she works in the land of the gangster and cowboy. She excels at meeting the enemy in close quarters and blasting them back to Hell with her shotgun and pistol or simply spilling their infernal guts with a twist of her bayonet. Her work as a farmhand set the ground for building a great physical strength that, while hidden by nun's outfit, enables her to sprint with her gear and crush the skulls of the damned beneath her boots.

Her spiritual strength on the other hand is what keeps her going. No matter how bad things get, no matter how much misery and sin she has to wallow through, she just keeps going. After going through the killing fields of the Eurasian steppes without God's light, how can she allow herself to break against the mere denizens of Hell with Him guiding her aim?

<sup>Dzhon even at a young age was taught that being a good christian would get him to the gates of heaven. In the present he is kind towards everyone he meets, including those of different races, sexual orientation or gender. Even when someone is acting either ignorant or aggressive towards himself or others. His background of being read and taught the passages of the bible, he believes the bible and the church to be sacred. Finding any kind of sacrilege to be punished harshly. Because of his upbringing, he is highly suspicious of other people, but likes to observe others through an altruistic and friendly persona.

People who interact with him can tell that the priest is quite eccentric. Doing things like quoting the bible. He is quite protective of people he deems to be weak or in need of protection. Showing disdain and anger towards heretics. Most of his hatred comes from demons and other supernatural beings, showing no mercy towards them even when they beg for their lives. His life’s work has always been riding the world of demons. Having learned from his late grandfather that showing mercy and weakness towards demons would get him killed. This was also applied to other people.</sup>

<sup>Dzhon was trained by his grandfather on how to use a sword and firearms. During the war he was taught further on how to handle a weapon. And he was taught on how to care for wounds being his squad’s medic. After the war he moved to China and started practising Krav Maga, Judo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Because he is quite fast while fighting demons or other people. And because of his experience during the war, he is quite harden and has a high endurance than most people. His strength is comparable to a skilled martial artist.

His mental capacity is quite strong, he cannot be easily tempted. Having a strong belif in faith and not doubting what god does to him.</sup>

While Alma María does not quite live up to the 'harmless as a dove' descriptor, she is indeed as wise and as cunning as a serpent and makes no effort to pretend anything otherwise. She is not without her kindness, and in fact is often more understanding and forgiving perhaps than one would expect, but what is most noticeable about her -and perhaps what most rubs the more pious the wrong way- is that dark and wily nature of hers which gives off such an exotic and mysterious impression.

Then again, they might also dislike her dark, languid eyes which peer so knowingly from beneath even darker, thick eyelashes; her luscious red lips which seem so often to smile as though at some private joke; and the overall inexplicable sensuousness of her otherwise quite modest appearance.

Her unconventional methods for exorcism might also play a factor in that.

In general, she is well regarded in her home church and community due to her kindness an strength of character. She exudes a level of confidence and reliablity which leads people of the community to seek her out for help despite her strangeness, and she willingly does so despite any of their flaws or ways of life.

She is less well regarded by the religious higher-ups, such that they do not tend to speak of her much. Regardless, her effectiveness is undeniable.

Her experiences with farming the land and interacting with cartels has made her strong and sturdy enough to use her melee weapons effectively, although her main focus is in agility. Alma María is of a lean build, and moves with both speed and grace that are almost uncanny.

Possibly more result of her experiences with the cartels.

What truly sets her apart from other exorcists, however, is the fact that she is a medium. For whatever reason her body seems to be particularly appealing as a target for possession, and she makes use of this trait by inciting demons to possess her before sealing them away.
