Oooh I have a plot idea once they reach France, so as you said Blaine is using Elissa’s crew to follow her, maybe they have a smaller ship or boat that’s tracking them (that’s harder for Joseph’s crew to notice), so they can follow stealthily with the main ship. Anyway, Joseph takes off once they moor and have spent the day or so unloading and flogging their loot, and Rhea’s just about to leave too but Elissa stops her - one of her crew has come to speak to her and warn her (against Blaine’s orders), Blaine had caught a good look of Joseph as he alighted (obviously Joseph doesn’t recognise him at the dock), so Blaine uses this to his advantage to corner Joseph in town with a few of his own guys, obviously with the intention to batter/kill him, 1. for kidnapping Elissa and 2. He knows who he is (a bit surprised he isn’t dead but hey, he’ll make sure it’s done properly this time). So anyway Elissa catches a hold of Rhea to tell her Joseph is in danger - I think it’s a good opportunity for them to work together and become more friendly. Obviously Elissa’s crew probably think Joseph is a bad guy, they probably don’t care that Blaine is off to murder him (he was going to go back and collect Elissa once he’d done so), but of course they want Elissa back, and think she might be pleased that Blaine is doing some dirty work, they might also have a plan to escape with Elissa, but some of Blaine’s own men are planted within the crew.

I get the feeling Blaine is probably a sadistic kind of guy, and might enjoy beating Joseph up a bit before he intends to murder him.. of course he’s cowardly enough to bring another 2 or 3 guys with him though.

Perhaps the event is enough for Joseph to start remembering whilst he’s healing? Maybe Blaine alludes to the fact Joseph should’ve been dead (but doesn’t tell him everything).

Yeah, that sounds good. I figured I’d for sure play Elissa’s crew. Who should play Blayne? I’ve done it in the past but I’d you’d like to, I don’t mind.

It’s up to you! you’ll have a better idea of his history and character with Elissa, we can just have some back and forth if you’re not sure if you’re God-moding with some scenes :P

I can play Blayne, I don’t care. It would probably be better since he will be interacting with Joseph. You can always play some of his men, if you want.

Okie doke. Omg your last post, Joseph really doesn’t know how to deal with these things, he doesn’t mean bad by it, he just has no idea hahaha he’s trying to do the right thing, well, sometimes haha

Not to be mean, but Joseph seems like an idiot at times. Granted he probably doesn’t know much about bedlam and the effect it had on Elissa. Adam knows only because he is a doctor and has observed the place.

Hahaha, well, he kind of is, I guess, at least, he’s not entirely sensitive to that kind of thing, he has no exposure to it, even so, what can he do about it really?

He’s also not a knight in shining armour, he’s a pirate, and that’s all he’s known for a long time, he’s used to robbing people, fighting people, killing people, and general debauchery, he’s used to people being expendable, to himself being expendable, he knows Elissa knows something deeper and that they both mean something to one another, which is why he tolerates her quite fragile emotional states, and he does try to be kind, in his own way, but he’s not a hero, and he has a lot of flaws, as people do, but he isn’t cruel.

Just if you’re getting frustrated with him hahaha

I feel like Adam is giving him a particularly hard time about it hahaha

Adam has a soft spit for Elissa. He may be a pirate but he’s a doctor first. Kind of the opposite of Joseph.

I think Elissa is expecting too much from Joseph and she’s hurting herself, he really does move only at his own pace, he might like her but he’s not going to form a deep attachment in a day or so, well it might be different once he remembers

She expects things to be how they were. He was her only constant thing.

Joseph can read (sort of) but he’s dyslexic, I don’t think people understood anything about it in these kind of times though so there wouldn’t be a word for it. I put in that maybe he made a passing comment about it to Elissa when they were younger, and he’s never said anything to anyone ever since, as it sounds like a crazy thing to explain, in that particular time. So, it’s up to you if you want Elissa to recognise it, it could be both a little unsettling yet somehow reassuring for him that she knows what he described to her, a long time ago.
