Daniel - Garage - Peeps

"I'm sorry but I think the mall could be one of the worst places to go if you ask me..." Daniel thought for a moment and then remembered. "But I have seen a few ambulances and SWAT trucks around the city. If we could find one with weapons, I'd love to get my hands on a sniper rifle. I spent three years in a squad as head scouting sniper, so I guess you could say I know my way around a rifle..."

Aleck ~ On his way back to the Haven

"Hoooommmmeeee..." Aleck slurred. His mind was numbed. He had pillaged some liqueur from an old previously looted store. There had been enough bottles left to get completely wrecked with. He was heading back to the haven after drinking all night, having to abandon his rescue of Emma had not been an easy decision, Daniel seemed capable enough and he had thought about it after Daniel had turned down helping him. Even if he did rescue Emma, which he still believed he could, these raiders were not the first group Aleck had tangoed with before, what would he gain? Emma would definitely want to return with her brother and Aleck could not abandon Gwen.

Even with his mind infected with the numbing strength of alcohol he could think clearly, it was an ability he was only half grateful for. He wanted to lose himself but not even getting completely wasted could stop his mind from thinking straight, the only power alcohol held over him was over his emotional state freeing him of his pains and relaxing his muscles. He wouldn't even suffer a throbbing ache from a hangover.

An undead approached Aleck who was doing his best to continue drowning himself in his drink, he had in hand a tequila bottle, he'd already gone through a vodka, some captain morgan, and rum as well as a small flask of tequila, this last bottle was a much larger one and he was already down to the last three gulps. This undead shuffled closer, Aleck was suddenly tempted to simply allow the undead to bite him but as the undead reached a distance of just two feet his anger boiled. It was a sensation of rising strength and fury, in one powerful uppercut Aleck lifted the undead off the ground. This creature did not know the dangers of being struck and so it had been defenseless to the blow, it did not know how to protect itself and thus was at the mercy of Aleck's agile and destructive grace. Aleck was a big fan of martial arts, he had self trained and even sparred in gyms, one thing he knew about drinking was that it made you more flexible and because you were numb to the pain, made your blows carry more weight and impact force. Aleck had already delivered the impact force, using his enhanced agility he twisted around and gave the undead a powerful open palm blow that shoved it away and down. He heard ribs breaking whether it was from the impact of the open palm strike or from the deterioration of the bones he did not know nor care.

A few more blocks later he was in front of the thrift shop.

"Ah...," he sighed. He had already gotten rid of the bottle a couple of blocks back after draining it. The only way in that was easier than shoving and opening doors and defenses was to climb up the side of the building them sidle up to the second story window where he could drop himself in. The window was open. He started climbing.

Normally the climb was tiring but the numbness of drink gave him strength to pull himself up using the outward jutting bricks as stepping stones to reach the railing of the window. There were holes that Aleck had made just for the purpose of climbing below the railing. He used these holes now to bring his body up and over the railing and through the window. The balcony was small and was not designed to be stood upon, whatever purpose this redundant balcony served he could not ask its once living owner and had not the care to do so. Once through the window he found himself in the "living room". There was the hall that lead up here and in that hall were four doors, one leading to the restroom, one leading to the kitchen, and two leading to separate rooms. The kitchen was in the back where a chimney allowed cooking smoke and smells to flow out while both rooms were up at the front so that the both had windows that looked out towards the from of the thrift shop. Aleck and Gwen stayed in one room and used the other as a sort of living room.

He did not see his sister and believed her to be asleep. Deciding to take rest as well he removed his heavy coat and dropped himself on the large soft couch, a couch he had brought upstairs himself. Sleep took him quickly.

Shannon - Auto Garage - James/Polyester/Daniel/Amelia

"That's also a good idea," she replied to Daniel. "But a mall could be a goldmine." Her finger stopped on the paper and she tapped it in place. "Here. Clearview Mall. I think it would be worth to check out, at least." She waggled her eyebrows dramatically. "They have a Taaarget."

Shannon turned around and leaned back on the desk. "I'm serious, looking in houses and convenience stores was getting me nowhere yesterday." It also got someone dead, but Shannon wasn't in the mood to start talking about that. In fact, she wanted to involve talking about anything serious at all, at least for a little while. She couldn't begin to imagine what Daniel was going through and she desperately wanted to avoid upsetting him. She never had any siblings of her own to draw any experience off of, but she remembered how fiercely Danny had loved his younger sister, Josie. Even after he became estranged from his parents, he would do whatever he could to meet and talk with his sister. Maybe it was partly to piss off his mother and father, but Danny had never went for long without taking time to talk with Josie.

Shannon closed her eyes, trying to put Danny out of her mind. It was so hard to do, harder than with her other friends and even her own parents. She loved them all dearly, but her and Danny had a bond that they both knew would last until the day they died, and probably even beyond that. Their worlds had revolved around each other, and now her world was forever shattered.

Bruce Levi - Revelation

"Yes sir, she attempted an escape" the soldier announced to his superior, standing firmly in his place. He had his entire gear on and was drenched in sweat. He'd been on shift for almost four hours straight in the beaming sun.

"Where is she held up now?" Mr. Levi asked the soldier, his glass empty of vodka. "We didn't know where to take her, so we insulated her in the cell."

"What of the boy?"

"He escaped our gunfire. In the meantime, we found a new survivor entering our barracks. We proceeded with caution and followed procedure to the book sir. Do you wish to meet him?"

"I'm more concerned for the girl right now soldier. Lead a small unit out into the woods and attempt to capture the boy. I will be going to the cell block to have a little chat with our treasure. Get Higgins and Jones to accompany me. Before you head out, make sure the gates are secure. We don't want anybody breaking in during our absence. The remainder of the soldiers are to protect Haywood at all cost. I doubt anything will happen, but its procedure" Bruce instructed, standing from his leather seat and strapping on a shoulder holster. He placed his pistol in the leather hutch and walked outside the office as the informing soldier followed distantly.

"Get that truck back to the lot, nobody comes in nor leaves while I'm gone."

"How about the man who we just checked sir?"

"Were there any inquiries that didn't suffice with regulation? Did he violate the code in any way?"

"No sir. We retrieved his weapons and are prepared to interrogate with delicacy sir!"

"Interrogate first, then allow him entrance to Haywood. Tell him that I will personally come meet him when I return from my duties. Continue further with the schedule posted, but keep an eye on him."

"Sir yes sir!"

After that little interaction between supreme leader and lieutenant, Bruce parted ways. He was accompanied by the two soldiers he called for and headed to the cell where the girl was kept. The road there was silent, not a single word was spoken, not a single question asked. Some said that Bruce Levi was in the zone at the moment, they feared breaking him out of it. There seemed to be a flaming aura precipitating from the pores of his skin, his body raising in temperature in the process. No only was it obvious from his facial expression, but also from his body language that he was inflamed in rage. Truth is, since this girl entered the gates of Haywood, it had been issue after issue. Bruce Levi has had his buttons pushed more in the last two days than he had in the last six months. This upcoming encounter would be the event of a lifetime for these soldiers, they will finally see Mr. Levi's true colors.

As they came up to the building the girl was being held captive, Bruce got out of the truck before it even parked, quickly rushing towards the entrance. His steps were heavy, his shoulders locked tightly as his fist clenched even more solid. For a second, Bruce stood in front of the door, his hand on the doorknob. At first it looked like he hesitated to open the door, but a closer look showed Bruce was just merely calming himself. He was taking soft breaths as if holding himself captive of the rage that wanted to embody him. Suddenly, his entire expression changed, a smile now covered his face. The two soldiers that were accompanying him were instructed to wait outside. Sadly, they weren't going to be allowed to watch the show.

Then the door opened, the line behind Bruce would blind the girl instantly. At first she would not know who entered, she would only spot a shadow, but once the door was closed, the obvious would become unmissable. Bruce, the father of her unborn child had arrived to meet in eternal feud. Unaware of his connection with her, he started off by turning on the lampshade on the small counter. She sat tied to chair, unable to move, but could still speak. "I've been told you've been causing a lot of trouble in my town. First you stab one of my soldiers in the shoulder, you actually killed him from loss of blood did you know?" he lied, trying to make her feel as bad as he possibly could. "After that, I witnessed you exit the crowd during my speech. Did you know that doing so is against Haywood regulations? The punishment - DEATH!" he yelled. His face was right before hers. His breath was blowing down her neck as he used his hand to weave along her forearm. Then with a sudden thrust, he slapped her across the face. "You've caused me too much trouble! The only reason you live is because you're a goldmine to.....to these...Raiders. If you haven't already found out, I'll be trading you to a bunch of pirates for supplies to continue raising my town" Bruce then pinched the tip of her chin. "To us, you're a goldmine. We were very fortunate to have come across you. Maybe if circumstances were different things could have worked out for you, but its not like that." His hands then sneaked passed her oblivious defenses and started up her thigh to her sacred chastity. "It's too bad I have to give you away, but business is business" then he backed away. "You've forced my hand against my own. You've killed one of my men, you've killed our town's doctor. Who else will get hurt if you stay? It's too risky to keep you, so I bid you farewell. Thank you for your sacrifice, you will always be remembered. Until the deal is made, you will remain here. We will feed you, and when the time comes, we shall make you presentable for our benefactor. If only....." he said, heading to the door.

Daniel - Auto Garage - His Mechanic Peeps

He suppressed the small urge to laugh at how Shannon flamboyantly anounced the mall's patroning of a Target. "Even so, the mall is probably one of the most public places in all of New Orleans." He stated stubbornly. He didn't understand why Shannon so desperately wanted to obsess over clothes and other female related things. "Are we sure we want to risk it?"

He glanced at Amy for a second and returned his attention to the map. It stuck in his head, though... Amy wasn't like Shannon. She wasn't like other women and girls that obsessed over their beauty and relationships. Amy didn't obsess over clothes and she didn't stare at Daniel while he was donning his shirt a minute ago.

Jess - Haywood - Bruce

The ropes cut into her wrists. The soldiers had come back and tied her to a chair, all while telling her in detail what their leader would be doing to her because of the trouble she had caused. Jess kept her head high and acted like she couldn't hear them. She also didn't speak. It didn't matter. She had been tricked and used. Now she and her child would pay the consequences.
When they left her alone she whispered to her child. "I'm sorry... this is my fault... I'm so sorry my angel..."

The door opened and Jess closed her eyes against the light. She didn't open them again until a light was turned on.
Seeing him again this close... it took everything in her not she start hyperventilating. When he started listing her crimes she tried to defend herself but he interrupted her.
"But he was... I didn't mean... I was about to pass out and the doctor wanted to make sure the baby-" she gasped as she head jerked to the side from the slap. Her cheek turned bright red as tears gathered. "Don't-!" she started to cry when he nearly touched her.
When he started to leave she couldn't take it anymore. What made a difference what happened to her now? He wouldn't kill her. He was going to barter her off to who she was certain was Tyler.
"He said something bad was going to happen to me!" she exclaimed. "He said he'd get me out! Then he left me behind! He just used me to get away himself! He used me, then left me! Just like you did!"

When he paused she moved her head to try and toss her hair out of her face. "You don't even remember me do you?! How you used me and hurt me then left me behind! You don't even care!" she accused. "You are going to barter off your own child to a man who is the devil! You don't even give a damn!" she fairly screamed. "I'm carrying your child you hateful, horrible, evil man! Your son will be raised as a murdering thief! Your daughter will be farmed like livestock! And me... I'll be abused until I die of it. How can you not even care?" she asked, her anger giving way to sadness and despair. She began to cry. "Please tell me you feel something for your own child."

She didn't know what hurt more, that he didn't remember something that devastated her or that her poor child would be in the hands of the devil himself.
"It is yours," she said, her voice low and shaking. "I didn't do anything with any other man after you. Please, I begged you once and I am begging you again : trade me away if you want, but wait until my baby... our baby... is born and keep it out of Tyler's hands. The thought of him even touching it..." she trailed off and bent as far as she could, trying to curl protectively around her stomach. "You can't let him have our child... please... please..."

Bruce Levi - Targeted

Her unraveled words struck a nerve as she targeted him with accusations. She acted as though he'd been the one who gave way to her pregnancy. This was a tactic used to get into the enemies head, messing them up mentally and eventually forcing them into insanity. It was like a politician who uses false information - meaning false facts or inaccurate data - to defeat the person running against them.

She continued by trying to force his hand. She stated that he didn't remember her and how he was so entailed into his own world that he was absent thought of her. The thing was, he had no memory of this girl, nor her overwhelming attitude. She described events that occurred before, but he had no recollection of them. "You lie woman! I've never met you in my entire life! Shut your mouth before you force my hand!" he yelled in her face as she continued to aggravate him.

Then she caused Bruce to snap. "I'm carrying your child you hateful, horrible, evil man!" As she spoke that phrase, everything else that followed had been faded out. His eyes began to twitch as he walked back and forth. He thought of all the women he'd force to mate with him. Which one did he use condoms on, which ones did he not. Calculations of everything ran like the horses on the horse tracks. It was an awful sensation, witnessing demonic laughter and death via memories. "You bitch!" he yelled at her, trying to retain his own fault. He'd finally added up and concluded who this girl was. From all his victims, why was this one here, right before him, now? Was God trying to play a joke on him, trying to force him to accept his sins? Because in this new world, there wasn't suppose to be a God anymore. His absence created such a hell, only Lucifer lived on, and everyday he brought forth even brighter flames that would vanquish everything in their way.

"Look bitch, I don't know how the hell you ended up all the way here, but you are no longer my problem. That kid, that kid isn't mine, nope, there's no way that kid is mine. You're a hoe! You're just trying to survive so you throw out all these lies, trying to make me feel sad and compassionate. Newsflash, I've experienced these types of persuasive methods. I'm a politician after all. You can't fool me with your little lies and fake tears. So shut your mouth! I don't care what you think of me. To me, you were just another bitch I got to f*#k! That's it, nothing more. I left you with that other hoe for a reason, because I never wanted to see you again, yet here you are GOD DAMMIT!" he said, yet again slapping her across the face, this time with twice the power. He then took hold of her face with his bare and stared directly into her eyes.

"I do remember who you are girl, but I am not the father of that child, got it?! I don't care how many times you try to tell me, I'm not an idiot. You can't fool me, stop trying because it will not save you. I'm giving you to Tyler, in return I'm securing my people life for six more long months. We'll survive the winter because of you, so you should be proud of that. I'll surely remember. You'll even be rewarded down there with the raiders. Do you know what they do to women? You think Haywood was bad, wait till you get with them. They'll physically tear you apart. Their job is to impregnate you as many times as they possibly can. The reason you're so valuable is because your fertile right now" he said, dinging between her legs, giving her a scare. "That child can rot in hell with the rest of you!" he whispered into her ear as he once again started for the door.

This time, he successfully left.

Jessalyn - Haywood - Despair

Jess couldn't cry. She cried too much. She was beyond it now.
The despair she felt was so deep... so completely draining... that there was nothing left.
He didn't care. She knew he didn't care about her, but he didn't care about his own child either.

She felt the baby move inside of her, like it was cringing from all the yelling that had gone on.
"I'm sorry," she whispered. "I am sorry to bring you into this world. This isn't what you deserve. You deserve so much more..."
All she could do now was pray that her child was a boy. At least then he would be safe for the most part. She didn't even want to think of what would happen if her child was a girl, how they would both be tortured.
What happened to her didn't matter. Her fate was already sealed. Bruce was right. She wouldn't survive for long.

Maybe... maybe that was for the best...
Death meant no more pain... no more torture... just eternal sleep...
No one came for a long time. She didn't even know how many minutes or hours went by. She stopped counting. No one brought her food. She heard people talking outside of her cell, but no one opened the door.
Life went on outside. No one noted or cared what had happened to the pregnant girl. No one asked questions. They went about their lives, not caring what price was paid to keep their lives simple and uncomplicated.

Jess knew she should hate them, hate him. But she just couldn't find it in her. Hate took too much energy. It accomplished nothing. It didn't help her. It didn't make things better.
She was so tired....
Her eyes dropped and her head lolled to the side. Her face stung from the blows he had given her. She was probably bruised, but not bleeding that she could feel.
It was very uncomfortable, trying to sleep tied to a chair, but she was just too tired to try and stay awake anymore.

Maybe she would dream... dream of being far away from here... being somewhere safe and warm... with someone who cared about her and her baby...
she'd be with Lynn and Floyd... they would be happy and healthy and safe...

She could dream...

Amelia - Auto Garage - James/Polyester/Daniel/Shannon

Amelia seemed not to pay much attention as the two disagreed with each other, focusing on the map while they spoke. She placed her finger onto the map, tracing it along a road which lead to the mall before her eyes would flicker between various locations that lined the path. "If the mall is too densely populated then getting in and out wont be possible. However, that's assuming we walk through the front door" she said as she continued inspecting the map. She pointed her finger at the mall's employee car park before tapping her finger, "However if we take a back entrance into it, we might avoid the denser areas where we'll be given a window in which to get in and out before the walkers notice us and start making a move..." she continued. "It's risky, but it can be done. At the least we could check it out, judge it and call it. If it's too risky, we can bypass the mall here" she said, pointing to a side street which went around the mall, "And head up to where the police station is, which might hold some extra ammunition and medical supplies" she said before standing back, looking between them for opinions.

Shannon - Auto Garage - James/Polyester/Daniel/Amelia

Shannon grinned at Daniel, placing her hands on her hips. "Amy gets it. If we see things are too crazy down there, we'll move on. It shouldn't even take that long." She basked in the glow of someone agreeing with her idea, content in the fact that she wasn't being totally unreasonable. Still, the grin on Shannon's face waned slightly a few seconds later, thinking that perhaps she had been pushing a bit too hard for the mall. They were a group now, and Shannon didn't want Daniel to think she didn't care about his opinion. "... Look, I understand your concern," she said, sounding apologetic. "I agree with you, mostly. It would just be a shame to pass the mall up if it turned out to be safe."

She stepped forward and playfully punched Daniel in the shoulder. "I believe in us, okay?"

Soldiers - Outskirts of Haywood

During their little encounter with a survivor, whose weapons were stripped from him and allowed into the society of Haywood, noises began to pop from the near woods. Two armed soldiers escorted the new survivor into the complex as the rest of the men became suspicious of the loud sound that started.

"We gonna check it out?" one soldier asked another, making sure he had bullets in the barrel. The other two soldiers nodded at the first, starting to walk towards the precise location where the sound had generated. It was still daylight, so they would soon enough find whatever was out there. They were hoping for a deer, but that was never the case. Ninety-nine percent of the time, it was a lone walker, hoards hardly ever reached a mile from Haywood. Usually, when a hoard is found during the hunt, they are eliminated on sight, to prevent any further complications.

But though these soldiers weren't soldiers to begin with, they were organized as if they were. They had three-person formation set up and decided not to separate, it would only hurt them if they did. One of the soldiers whistled, trying to attract the walkers attention. Since it failed, the three moved closer to where the sound came from and prepared to open fire when ready.

Their safeties were off and all their weapons were fully loaded. They had gotten a big import of ammunition from the last trade with their benefactor. Even though some soldiers frowned upon the little deal Haywood had with the raiders, they understood why it was done. Many had to give up their wives and daughters, but if they didn't live with it, they'd die. Men changed after the virus spread, most lost their humanity. They say that events like these bring out the worst in people, whoever said that was one-hundred percent correct.

Then one of the soldiers decided to shoot in the general direction of the noise. "Did I get'em?"

"Hell, I don't know"

"C'mon keep moving, stay in formation" the head soldier said, going into the outskirts of the city.

Daniel Crowe - Garage - The OG Gang

He considered it for a moment, but then gave up. There was no arguing with them; they were women and he'd never win. He sighed deeply and exhaled. "I guess we can make a run for it." He yelled at himself on the inside; this was a very risky thing to do. But he weighed that he could easily escape if something happened.

Daniel corrected his thoughts immediately. They could make it out... He was a part of this team and they were with him now... He was responsible to protect Shannon now that he'd given them aid...

Brad - Emma's Cell - Emma

Brad stared down at the stupid insignificant little girl before him. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying, and her body was shaking profusely. She was disgusting. "I am never letting you go," he said, crouching down to her level. He flashed her a smile, showing his crooked yellow teeth. "Tyler wants you here, you see. What Tyler wants, Tyler gets." He reached over and began stroking the girl's hair. God, even the smell of her annoyed him. He suddenly grabbed her by the hair and pulled her in close to his face, his rancid breath filling her nostrils. "And all the men will get a taste if they want. We all share around these parts. Sharing is a part of living now, you see?" He shoved the girl back and stood to his feet. He looked at her with a glare of utter contempt and kicked the ground, sending dirt and dust in her direction.

Without another word, the man turned around and left the cell, locking it behind him.

Bex - Underground Cells - Raiders & Lynn

Brad exited one of the cells, his poise hunchbacked and angry. He almost ran into the group of men milling outside the cells, but managed to quickly recover himself. "Sir!" Brad said, saluting.

Tyler nodded toward Brad, before turning back to Bex and the others. "You can taste all you want once I'm done with her. You know how it is." Tyler stepped forward, throwing a menacing glare toward Jimmy and Joe. The two men gulped.

"Of course, boss," Joe said, weakly.

Bex glanced toward the cell Brad had just left. He figured the girl was in there. No way Tyler would let Brad anywhere near Lynn until he was done interrogating her. Brad hated women, especially Lauren. God help anyone who spoke that out loud, though.

"Bex," Tyler said, breaking him out of his thoughts. "I've been hearing about you bitching about that mall all morning. How about you get off your ass and go do something about it then? Take these three with you." He pointed at Jimmy, Joe, and Ash in turn.

Bex nodded. "I can do that." Perfect.

The Bull pouted and crossed his arms. He looked like a big hairy baby. "What am I going to do, then?" he asked.

Tyler was silent for a moment. He looked about ready to break the Bull's nose. Bex wasn't entirely sure that was possibly, even if Tyler was a big man himself. "You're going to take Lynn to the arena," Tyler said. "Then, you're going to watch the new girl. We'll need to guard her until she's broken in." Bull looked ready to argue, but he knew better. Chances were that Tyler wasn't too happy with the big lug after yesterday's failure. Bull simply nodded.

It was then that Bex realized there was an opportunity before him. There would be no way to see the girl before Tyler was done with her if he went off to clear the mall. It was a stupid thing to think about, but Bex had to at least see her before then. Lauren was concerned, so Bex was concerned as well. As the Bull started walking away, Bex put a hand on the big man's shoulder. "Wait," Bex said. "I want to guard the girl, sir."

Tyler blinked at him in confusion. "Didn't you hear what I had to say? No tastes until I-"

"It's not that," Bex interrupted. "I'm exhausted after yesterday. I'll be a liability out there. Besides, Ash knows the area just as well as I do." He looked toward the short man named Ash, who had been standing around impassively for the entire conversation. He nodded, as silent as ever.

Tyler seemed to consider this for a moment. "... Okay, but don't go doing something stupid," he said, echoing Bull's previous words. This time, it was an obvious threat. "Bull," he said, continuing. "You go with Brad and get in contact with fucking Smith. He should have been back by now."

The conversation apparently over, Tyler stalked off. The rest of the men went their separate ways, most of them to the armory. Bex went instead to the cells and opened the one containing Lynn. "Get up," he said into the dark cell. When there was no response, Bex went further inside to find Lynn bound and unconscious. The man sighed deeply and went to work untying her from the chair. He was going to need to grab someone in order to drag her to the arena...

Emma - Her Cell - Sadistic Brad

Emma cringed at every words that rolled from this guy's mouth. Who was Tyler and why did he want her? She wanted to be poetic and say something like, "I won't scream for you.", but she could help but cry as he clenched her locks of hair in his fists and dragged her head to his face and breathed his putrid breath into her nostrils. He was close enough to kiss her lips, and she was almost surprised when he didn't.

A heavy sob broke from her heaving chest as he spoke his words. "And all the men will get a taste if they want. We all share around these parts. Sharing is a part of living now, you see?" She was going to be here for a long time... She would be raped until she gave in, or killed herself... He threw her back to the ground and she rolled to back of the cell. She spit dirt from her lips and wrenched on the horrid taste. He turned away and walked out, but not before kicking a clump of dirt onto her. The soccer jersey was filthy now; and she could already feel the bindings rubbing her wrists raw through the sleeves. Number Ten, Lionel Messi.... more like number one play toy, Emma Jane Crowe.

You should have gone with Aleck, you IDIOT! She silently screamed over and over until she thought she was saying it aloud.

Tyler - Underground Arena - Lynn

After Bex had dropped the unconscious woman in one of the arena's holding cells, he had left her in the care of another raider. The man had specific orders from Tyler to wait until Lynn was awake before putting the next phase of her torture in motion. When she started coming to, the man sent for Tyler, who came to the arena immediately.

Lynn, probably still groggy and half-awake, was shoved from her cell and into a large round room. This was one of the larger rooms in the hideout, where many of the tunnels went to. The tunnels had locked metal doors at their entrances, constructed by the raiders to keep the arena secure and to hold in the walkers. About half of these doors had walkers locked behind them. They slammed against the doors in an attempt to to reach Lynn, who was shoved into the centre of the room. If she looked around, she would see Tyler standing behind one of the metal doors, watching her intently.

Inside the arena with Lynn were three raiders, who all looked like burly men. Each one held a strange instrument. They looked sort of like a leash, or an extendible hand. The grip of the instruments allowed the claw-like bits at the other ends to clamp shut.

The first man went to open one of the metal doors with walkers behind it while the second man flanked him. The third man stood watching Lynn to make sure she didn't try anything. The first man opened the door wide enough for the second man to slip his instrument through and latch on to one of the walkers by the neck. Then, the first man opened the door wider and the second man pulled the walker into the arena. The door was closed quickly afterwards to keep the rest of the walkers inside.

The second man now had control of the walker. It could not bite anyone as long as he kept it on its leash. He started moving toward Lynn.

"Lynn!" Tyler suddenly said. "Welcome to the arena! This is just a little taste of what you can expect here."

The man with the leashed walker inched closer and closer to Lynn. The walker snapped its teeth and groaned in Lynn's direction. It was desperate for a bite.

"I just wonder where Jess is, don't you? Perhaps if you tell me now, well..." The man laughed.
Bex - Emma's Cell - Emma

Bex returned to the cells and peered through the bars at the girl inside. She looked dreadful, covered in dirt and sobbing uncontrollably. It seemed she really was young, probably about thirteen or fourteen. Bex couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for her. He could block it out of his mind, usually, but the girls that got brought in just got younger and younger. It was becoming very hard to ignore.

Still, there was nothing that could be done. This was how Tyler wanted it, and no one went against Tyler. People had done so before and died for it.

Bex cleared his throat. "Hey, you." He gripped the cell door with his hands and leaned in as close as he could. "Did Brad hurt you?"

Lynn - Arena - walker, Tyler

Lynn looked from the walker to Tyler. "I don't know where the hell she is!" Lynn roared through clenched teeth. "Now either give me a weapon or set your better looking twin here loose and let me die."
Hopefully the redneck was able to get Jess far away from here. Lynn didn't really care about dying. It was obvious the spiteful jerk wasn't going to put her as 'breeding stock' thank God, although since she had worked with a lot of the guys here and they knew what she was capable of very few of them would have to balls to come near her.
No, she was going to be used as entertainment for these animals. Lynn glared at the walker, who was straining it take a bite out of her. She put her shoulders back and rolled her neck around to loosen up. If the coward wasn't going to give her a weapon then she would have to fight with her bare hands.

She knew he wanted her to cry and beg him. People begging seemed to turn him on. But he knew her. There was no way she was going to be on her knees for anyone. She turned her glare on the men in the arena with her. She had worked with them, had even saved their lives a couple of times. But that meant nothing now.

In what was likely going to be her last act of defiance, Lynn spat at Tyler. "You are a coward."

Emma - Cell - Bex the OG

"Why do you give a sh-" She stopped herself and dropped head low... He almost looked sympathetic. "N-not too much..." She shifted herself and again felt the ropes shifting on her wrists. The sleeve on her right arm had been pushed up and Emma could feel the threads bearing into her skin.

Her scalp still stung from when the man that this guard called Brad had yanked her hair. She felt the pain in her leg from where'd she'd injured it on the train tracks. She wished Aleck would come and carry her to safety... She wanted to be saved by someone... If only Daniel knew where she was... Then a pang racked her chests, faltering her breathing. Where was Daniel? If anyone could save her, it was him... She pictured him in her head.

Daniel; enormous and muscular, smart and ingenious, and a bona fide action hero... her brother... He'd come and put a bullet in this Tyler guy's brain... "Come on, Daniel..." She muttered to herself, but most likely loud enough for the guard to hear.

Tyler - Underground Arena - Lynn

Tyler licked his lips. "Coward? Could a coward do what I have, Lynn?" The man leaned into the metal grating, his hands running along it. "I have poured my sweat and my blood into this. You know that! I have painted this fucking city red in order to get what I want, and some bitch like you thinks she can stand in the way of all that?" He pressed against the doors, his eyes wide. "You may not know where Jess is, Lynn, but dear God, I will find her. Not just as another woman to assist in my coming generation, but because she is your friend, Lynn. I will kill every single person you care about, girl."

The man standing guard looked anxiously from Lynn and Tyler. The two other men caught his expression and found themselves a bit nervous as well.

Tyler was smiling now, grinning even. "When you left, you still had friends here. People who respected you for who you were. Do you think I let them be? NO! A coward would have let them be! I stamped out your very presence from this group, Lynn! Just like I will stamp out your very presence from this world!"

There was a long silence, only broken up by the snarling of the walkers.

"Get another one," Tyler ordered. The two free men scrambled to bring out another walker. Soon, two of the men had a walker leashed and surrounding Lynn.
Bex - Emma's Cell - Emma

Bex stood watching the girl through the metal grating. He didn't think she was being entirely honest about Brad. Still, it was a surprise to see that Brad hadn't left the girl with any noticeable bruises. Perhaps he'd been in a good mood.

Bex wasn't sure what to say next. He considered not saying anything at all. The more he talked to this girl, saw that she was real and that she existed, made ignoring her fate all the more worse. Still, when the girl started mumbling under her breath, Bex couldn't help overhearing the name Daniel.

"So, who's Daniel?" he decided to ask.

Lynn - Underground - Tyler

Lynn laughed bitterly. "Oh please! You're not a coward? When I left you threw a tantrum like a little boy. You killed off your own men because they liked me. And you're going to kill me now for the same reason. Your men know it as much as I do. The only reason you are doing this is because I am stronger then you, not physically but mentally. You can't break me and you can't control me, so your solution is to kill me. That is a coward. And that is why I stopped loving you."

There had been a time when she had been in love with Tyler, in love with a man and the dream he was fighting to build.
But she had watched that man turn into a monster. She had watched him become a tyrant and a coward. And that was something she just couldn't watch anymore.
"That was why I left," she said. "Because the man I loved is dead, killed by the monster who now inhabits his body."

She looked back at the three men standing around her. "Ask yourselves : am I doing this because I feel it's right, or am I doing this because I am scared of a shadow of a man who has become nothing more then a playground bully'?"

He wouldn't make her cower. No matter what he did, he wouldn't make her cower. Three walkers or three hundred didn't make a difference.

Floyd - Prisoner

The loud sound of laughter gave Floyd a reason to awaken from what seemed to be an eternal sleep. He didn't want to leave the dreams he was having, which were of his life on the farm. But unlike the truth behind the estate, this farm was a fantasy. There weren't any scoundrels or miscreant beings, just the tender grass blowing with the wind along the hills. The plants bloomed brightly like the eyes of his livestock, smiling at the sight of the sun as it also blossomed above. Floyd had never experience such sensations, such joy, but then, vexatious utterance siphoned those wonders into a pitch black hole. As his eyes opened, truth returned.

He didn't speak, just decided to watch his surroundings with pinching eyes. Both his legs and arms had fallen into the same sleep he had just awoken from. They were united by a strong and layered rope. As he noticed himself sitting, he turned his head to his right and met a window. He could see the image outside moving as he felt himself still. Floyd made the realization that he was inside some sort of vehicle, most likely a truck, but that doesn't really matter. He had been captured by a group of pirates and had no idea what was going to happen next. Were these men cannibals? Why didn't they just kill him? It was an oblivious thought that ran Floyd's mind. Why waste their time with someone that was basically already dead? It didn't make sense.

Floyd then continued his visual inspection. He was seated right behind the 'shotgun' seat of the vehicle, the front passenger seat. The driver was farther to his left, one hand on the wheel and the window completely open. Wind rushed passed his beard and clashed against Floyd's torso. It felt great, but at times it would be too much that it'd get cold. Floyd's eyes then flipped, facing the back window of the vehicle. In the truck bed were two other men, laughing insanely during their conversation. It would seem that it had been their pandemonium that awoke Floyd. It was a very disturbing unique laugh the fat man had. He was very chunky, his cheeks implemented that weight. It was disgusting, Floyd couldn't bare to see, so decided to turn back to the front.

Then, the driver turned and took a look. He noticed Floyd's eyes were open, though barely. "Oh partner! You're awake!" he hollered, his voice echoing through the inside premise of the truck. His voice was even worse than the lard's laughter. "Say man, why were you out there on your own? You looked like shit back there! Did ya get separated from your group or something?! Where'd they go?! They got any girls?!" the man named Smith questioned. Though he didn't realize it, he was screaming above the sound of the wind. He was obviously trying to, but he was overdoing it.

Still, Floyd decided to stay silent. "So you're the loner type huh? That ain't no problem, Tyler won't care. Heck, he might even make you one of us, who knows" he started, turning to the passenger and laughing along with him. "Tyler?" Floyd murmured to himself, silently. "You say something man?" Smith asked, then paused for a second as if waiting for an answer. Since it didn't come, he turned back to the road. Floyd remembered the mention of Tyler. It had been that woman from the train track, she was the one that told Floyd about him. So these men were the raiders she was trying to avoid. "Where are ya takin' me?" Floyd questioned, surprising the two raiders. "So you can speak, hahaha. Anyhow, were taking you to our place. I wouldn't worry too much, Tyler may have use for you, if not, then to the arena. Right Chuck?! HAhahahaHA!" he started yet again.

Floyd angered at the annoying sound the two men generated. They just wouldn't shut their mouths, continuing to laugh when nothing was truly funny. Suddenly, the truck came to a halt. The brakes squealed as if they were in some sort of mechanical pain. It was an unpleasant sound to the ear. "Hey look Chuck, its Brad! BRAD! What's up partner? Sorry were late, we caught something for a change, look!" he yelled yet again, pointing to Floyd in the back seat. "Watcha want us to do with'em?" he asked his superior Brad. Floyd just stared at all the men that were now present. This was not the situation he wanted to be in. "We found'em in them woods back there. He was alone so were not sure if he had a group with'em. He don't say much."
