[WIP, currently being rewritten]
So this is a plot bunny I've been sitting on for a better part of a week that I've finally decided to throw out into the world. Its about an El Dorado-like city that people are finally starting to move into local area and trying to uncover itself old world secrets. Some factions are here to scour the city for relics and wealth while others have come in to make a new home having been forced out of their old ones. Yet something is amiss as for all the wealth and ideal living area Salvation possesses, no one has yet to encounter any natives of the city, there is something deeply wrong and unnatural within Salvation, but its clarion call is simply too strong to stop people from wanting to come.
All PC factions will start with an Objective that is their driving directive and goal. All of the factions have also only recently moved into the city, all under a year (most to give everyone a fair-ish start). The Inferno that burned the world has happened some where between 50 to 70 years ago meaning right now we're 2-3 generation into the apocalypses but there are still fleeting memories of the old world that have begun to transform into new myths and legends. Stuff like airplanes being giant metal dragons, rockets being spears pointed at gods and ships being the size of mountains.
There will be a sort of "turn system" where in after everyone is done posting, a new "turn" will occur that can bring positive and negative events down on everyone or on specific factions as well as potentially diving deeper into the mysteries of the City on the Edge of the Horizon. Salvation itself was an urban area along the coast with mountains and forests surrounding it, it was a bit of an isolated city which is one of the reasons it was able to stave off most of the Inferno. There aren't going to be any strict stats or numbers though so don't worry about that. The whole theme of the RP is people trying to either explore deeper into Salvation or trying to make a new life here. TL;DR - Post apoc groups find a location relatively untouched by the apocalypse and move in to either loot the surrounding area or try to make a new home in the surrounding area, conflict and hijinks ensues.
When the world burned to cinder and ash in the Inferno, nothing was spared. Civilization crumbled as nations entered a suicide pact of nuclear bombs, bio-weapons, chemical agents and all kinds of terrible weapons finally given over to their horrific destinies. But humanity endured, however it could. People came together to create new societies, to find some sort of stability in the wasteland among beasts, mutants and raiders. But legends, only spoken in forlorn whispers by the elders who were still alive before the Inferno of a place that managed to avoid the worst of the Inferno, where the lands weren't poisoned and the water was clear, and where the riches of the world that was still sat waiting for forgotten masters who would never return to claim them. They called it by a dozen false names as its true name has long been forgotten but every man and woman in the wasteland knows they are all the same place: Salvation. It was just a story for years as the last old world generation began to die off but now, as a new generation comes of age, societies and settlements have developed enough to ask if this mythical city is more than just the last story of a dying age.
Because now, they begin to seek it. The City on the Edge of the Horizon with riches and power untold; they seek Salvation.
