You're at the top of the food chain, looking down.

Or so you think.

So this is an idea that I've tried to do a couple of times, and I think this will be my best attempt at it so far.

The idea is pretty simple: your character is the most powerful champion that ever lived. Full stop. They've beaten the final boss, completed the last quest, and reached the maximum of their potential. But what happens when the game is over? The endgame begins.

By means that I leave up to you, this ultimate character has ascended from their world into the place between worlds, and come face to face with champions from other worlds and realities that match their power. This can be done in any number of ways, from spiritual enlightenment, to artificial apotheosis, to anything in between. Point being, before you were a big fish in a small pond, and now you're a big fish in outer space. What do you choose to do now? Become a god? Destroy the gods? The possibilities are limitless, but so are the dangers. The wardens of time and space don't take kindly to trespassers.

This is meant to be a power-trip fantasy adventure, full of characters who can unleash hilarious and ludicrous levels of carnage. It leans toward more anime-styled over the top action, with heavy elements of mysticism and religious esoterica. Influences (that I can think of right now) include K6BD (obviously), Morrowind, DOOM, and just about any over the top anime you can think of.

I have a loose plot in mind, which can be adapted to whatever characters we come up with. The game will start will your characters "ascending," and then meeting in [REDACTED].

I'm interested. I have a character that can already travel between worlds. I wonder if that would be acceptable. As a gather of knowledge and magic ability across universes. If there is a place that ascends that, imagine what he could learn.

Putting some tentative interest out there. I quite enjoyed Doom 2016 (though I sucked at it), and an isekai where I blast demons into ludicrous gibs with military-grade firepower seems interesting. Any call for a character who's more than a little nutty and loves their guns like Megumin loves her staff?

In a world where character powers are limitless, as prescribed, how do you envision the RP going? For instance, do you see this as a Player vs Player type of deal or will this be a Players vs NPCs thing? To that extent, if powers are encouraged to be over the top, how do you envision presenting challenges that could possibly be otherwise toppled with the wave of a character's hand, figuratively (and possibly literally) speaking?

I know the plot line is being kept discreet, for now, but from a narrative aspect, what sort of things are the characters expected to do? What does the journey look like, if only in broad strokes?

Certainly a bold and daring concept. Just trying to get an idea for how it all works.

@Rekker I wouldn't use the word "limitless," it helps better to envision these as Endgame/Max Level RPG characters. Extremely powerful, possibly the most powerful living thing on their world, but not omnipotent.

PvP will probably occur at some point, but the rest of the RP will involve the characters encountering and dealing with that which exists outside of space and time, which should be a robust challenge even for the powerful characters we'll be playing.

However, it won't be all new frontiers. There is more to ruling than conquering, after all. As they say, enjoy the war, the peace will be terrible.

Would you be able to provide an example of an ideal character candidate and how that character would be challenged by the described foe?

With it being intentionally and overly fantastic, if one was to create a character with certain powers that have precise, tried and true outcomes, I'm just curious how those effects differ when it comes to the Endgame foes.

If I make a character with the power of pyromancy with fires that can break down an assortment of varied matter as well the ability to engulf legions of foes in an almost instant fiery death, coupled with a mystical sword that can cut through anything as well as project various forms of energy in addition to applying mystical physical attributes to its user which this character used to conquer his entire world, are these powers then nullified once this character enters Endgame? How do you envision sizing up these characteristics both from PvP and PvNPC? Are the Space/Time Lords able to muzzle abilities like these and do players have a say when determining which powers get muzzled and which play through as described in the CS?
