Welcome to...

The massive space research station stranded in the middle of nowhere in both time and space. You landed here (or will land here; time travel makes grammar truly troublesome! And don't get me started on dimensional travel...) during what you had believed to be a normal day in your home universe. But something went wrong, whether on your end or ours, and now you're here. I am afraid I lack the time, however ironic that statement is, to explain the depth of the incident you have found yourself in. All I can ask of you, stranger(s?), is this;

You will find the secrets to this station, and your key home, with enough exploration, understanding, and a healthy amount of caution. I cannot guarantee the station will be secure, just as I cannot guarantee that some...Less savory types have not have been brought aboard. I can only hope during your time here, you can discover the truth behind me and my people...And perhaps find it in your hearts to set things right, however that could be.

....This is Castellan, Head Researcher and last member of the Chronian race, signing off.

I'm happy to welcome everyone to Multiversal Discord! This RP is gonna have a fun blend of mystery, adventure, action, and plenty of time to have characters interact and develop their relationships of any sort. What's not to love? Now, before, I continue, let's get the rules outta the way, alright?

  • 1: This one's pretty self-explanatory; try not to be a jerk, alright? No one likes trying to play alongside someone whose being all riled up for no reason. And of course, if you have an actual reason to be upset, bring it up to me. It's what I'm here for!
  • 2: Like any good story, there's gotta be stakes, and while I'm not particularly planning on character death anytime soon, characters will be finding themselves under serious threat more often than not, and won't likely escape unscathed. Isn't very interesting if someone wins every time, eh? Which leads into my next rule...
  • 3: No Godmodding, alright? Pretty sure everyone around here's familiar with the term, though the main piece I'm concerned with is making your character seem too perfect. No one perfectly dodges every move, counterattacks at just the right time, and always thinks things through. Characters, no matter how cool, strong, or smart, can make mistakes and be caught off their guard. Don't be afraid to get roughed around; it just makes the turnaround all the cooler ;) On an...Slightly related note, if you read between the lines....
  • 4: Romance is fine, of course, but keep any intense stuff behind the black screen, yeah? Assuming anything like that happens, of course. The ol' fade to black trick always works...
  • 5: On a vaguely similar line, while getting wounded, even grievously so, isn't something I'll be trying to stray away from here, let's keep some excessive stuff clear. No one needs to hear about your innards spilling out or something, right? Right. That falls under torture too; I mean, let's be honest, most bad guys ain't above that kinda thing, but we don't need to get graphic about it.
  • 6: Let's avoid anything political. C'mon, like the fictional bad guys aren't enough to tango with, yeah? It'll just leave a bad taste in most people's mouths, so better to stay hush-hush than come at each other's throats.
  • 7: I'm no grammar nazi...Okay, that's a lie, I totally am. I'll try not to be on your case about it, but try to make sure your punctuation and grammar are proper. Or at least as proper as it needs to be for your character lol.
  • 8: I'm not looking for mile-long posts, but a few paragraphs is a good point to land on. Quality over quantity, I say.
  • 9: I mentioned it somewhat near the beginning, but if anything comes up in/from the RP that you want to talk about with me, I'm all ears. Sorta my job as the GM, y'know?
  • 10: If you've read this far, when you're making your Character Sheet, add a piece near the bottom where you mention your favorite superpower; it'll tell me you actually made it this far into these rules.
  • 11: Last, and most important rule of all...HAVE FUN! It's sorta what we're here for. Y'know, besides the drama, badass action scenes, character development....Okay, maybe there's a little more to this than just the fun. But all of it just adds to it!

Now that you've torn your way through that slog, we can get to the fun part; characters! There's a small rule list here as well, but it's brief compared to the last one, and arguably more important.

  • 1: The character limit is currently four (ideally, two heroes, and two villains, for balance's sake), but might be expanded upon in the future.
  • 2: Characters for this RP are characters from all different forms of fiction; movies, comics, anime, cartoons, you name it, it's here! Probably. The only real qualifiers I look for is that the character has a name, and has at least seen fair screen/page time. Though, if you're willing to put in the extra legwork and work in an undeveloped or underutilized character from the piece of fiction, be my guest! They may be under more scrutiny though, do be warned.
  • 3: While I know being a villain can seem unappealing, I sincerely hope you consider having at least one; otherwise, you might miss out of being on the fun side of some evil plots! And if you are one of said villains, you'll likely have your own hand in creating said plot! The villains of this story will be the real backbone of the storytelling, so the more, the merrier! Not to say I don't have my own plans in motion. Hehehe....
  • 4: This is less a concrete rule and more a suggestion, but I'd recommend sticking your feet in multiple different fictions with your characters of choice; it'll give me more ability to include a variety of storylines, and also keep the variety of your own line-up.

That's that! Now, to wrap this off, you'll be receiving an example Character Sheet to help you get started. Happy posting, folks!

Danny has a lot of powers… Sorry…

"I’m Going Ghost!"

Name: Daniel “Danny” Fenton

Nicknames/Titles: Danny Phanton, Invis-o-bill, Halfa, Savior of the Ghost Zone among others.

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Affiliation: Hero

Personality: Danny is kind, easy-going, helpful, and compassionate at times. He likes using his ghost powers for good, but is not above using them for his own benefit. Danny's extremely insecure about himself and his identity. Even now that he is a popular superhero, he knows how quickly people’s opinions can change.

Danny approaches the life with a mix of humor, cynicism and sarcasm. He's quick to make a joke or a pun about any situation, especially in battle. When the stakes get high, however, he knows how to buckle down and take the situation seriously. While he's outwardly friendly, that cynical attitude makes it difficult for many people to get very close to Danny. If and when you do get close, however, you've gained a loyal and protective friend for life. A quick way to bypass his emotional defenses is to enjoy the same nerdy things he does. Danny loves video games, comic books, and action movies, and is interested in Astronomy (he wants to be an astronaut).

Biography: Danny’s parents were Jack and Maddie Fenton, both of them were ghost hunters. They built a portal to the Ghost Zone, but it appeared to not work. His parents gave up on it, but Danny had to see it for himself. He went in, accidentally turned it on. Somehow his DNA got infused with ectoplasm, making him half human and half ghost.

He soon discovered he gained a variety of ghostly powers. He used those powers to help catch ghosts that would escape through the portal and cause chaos in his hometown of Amity Park. He tried to maintain a normal life along with his superhero activities, With varying results.

Eventually though, the world did find out about the existence of Danny Phantom, and after saving the planet from a meteor, Danny’s identity is now public knowledge, and he has become something of a celebrity.

Powers/Skills: Danny possesses a variety of superhuman powers and abilities due to his unique physiology.
Going Ghost: Danny is able to transform from human to ghost at will. His transformation is often accompanied by his battle cry, "I'm going ghost!" or a variant thereof. Once transformed, he can use all of his ghost powers. He possesses some of his ghost powers in his human form, such as invisibility, intangibility, and ghost sense.
●Invisibility: Danny can make his body invisible to both humans and ghosts. Danny can share his invisibility with other people or objects when in physical contact with them.
●Intangibility: Danny can turn all or part of his body intangible. He can cause other people and objects to become intangible through physical contact.
●Flight: Gravity doesn't affect Danny's ghost body, so he can fly through air and space. While flying, his legs often become a ghost tail. In addition, due to being unaffected by gravity, Danny can stand on and walk along vertical surfaces such as walls and ceilings.
●Ecto-Energy Manipulation
○Ghost Ray: Danny can fire ectoplasmic green energy blasts from his hands or fingertips. He can launch ghost rays as a single beam of energy or as thrown projectiles which can take various shapes. These blasts often explode on contact and are powerful enough to melt steel.
○Ectoplasmic Energy Shield: Danny can generate a shield of ecto-energy that can withstand or even reflect attacks from other ghosts. Like his ghost rays, Danny's shield is green in color.
○Power Augmentation: Danny can channel ecto-energy through his body to increase his strength.
○Ghost Light: Danny can project light from his hand using ecto-energy.
○Ghostly Wail: The ghostly wail is Danny's unique ability to vocally generate sonic waves imbued with ecto-energy for an extremely powerful blast. Almost nothing can withstand this attack. Danny only uses this power as a last resort because it is heavily draining on his energy, often forcing him to revert to human form after just one use.
○Telekinesis: Danny can move objects from a distance by grabbing them with ecto-energy.
●Overshadowing: Danny can overshadow other humans and animals, allowing him to completely control the subjects's actions. While overshadowing, Danny can still use his powers of flight, intangibility, invisibility, and ghost rays. This power has other uses and manifestations, such as:
○Exorcism: Danny can separate a possessed person from a ghost overshadowing them by simply grabbing them with his hand or using a ghost ray.
○Dream Invasion: Danny can overshadow a sleeping subject in order to get inside their dreams and interact within them.
●Duplication: Danny can create duplicates of his body that can act independently of each other. After seeing Vlad use this power, Danny spends much of the series trying to learn it, finally mastering it in "Torrent of Terror."
●Cryokinesis: Danny can fire beams of icy energy from his hands or eyes that can freeze enemies on contact, radiate cold energy from his body, and create objects from ice out of thin air. When using this power, his eyes turn icy blue instead of their usual glowing green. Danny can combine cryokinesis with his other powers for enhanced effects, such as firing an icy explosive blast or generating an ice shield to block fire attacks.
○Ghost Sense: When Danny is in the presence of other ghosts, a blue mist comes out from his mouth, often accompanied by a chill going down his spine. This power subconsciously activates and alerts Danny to the presence of other ghosts.
●Superhuman Strength: Gravity doesn't affect Danny's ghost body, so he can lift heavy objects with ease. In ghost form, he has been seen to be strong enough to rip through reinforced titanium.
●Superhuman Durability: In ghost form, Danny's body is incredibly resistant to damage, having sustained several strong blows from his enemies without showing notable injury. Danny is also capable of healing at much greater speeds than that of an ordinary human.
●Superhuman Stamina: While human, Danny has the same stamina as a normal teenager, but in ghost form, he can exert himself at peak capacity for hours.
●Superhuman Agility: In ghost form, Danny's power of flight gives him agility, balance, and bodily coordination at levels far beyond human limits.
●Superhuman Reflexes: In ghost form, Danny has dramatically enhanced reflexes, being able to dodge attacks with ease.
●Paranormal Immunity: As a half-ghost, Danny is resistant to many types of ghost powers that normally harm humans, such as Ember's music (briefly) and Spectra's ghost illness.
●Spectral Body Manipulation: Danny can bend, twist, and otherwise manipulate his body far beyond the limits of normal human physiology.

●Experienced Pilot: Danny is a considerably skilled pilot,

Other: In my everyday life, I’d like to be able to teleport. Being able to go wherever I want whenever I want with ease would be nice.

@Crimson Flame Looks good! And luckily, in spite of his myriad abilities, I find Danny Phantom to be pretty tame as far as powers go. Most I'd do for limitations on him is probably make it more difficult to overshadow individuals, and given the difficulty he went through to learn it, I imagine his Duplication ability, while maybe not entirely sealed off per se, might have been made much harder to manage. Overall though, I think this'll do just fine!

In other words, your claim to Daniel Fenton is accepted! You can go ahead and get him into the Characters tab, though I'd recommend giving it a hider so that people can open and close it as they wish.

@Kiragan_Natsuki I...Did not see this one coming. Well, I can't imagine dear Vorhees here would be the most interesting character to play, but I can't think of an honest reason to say no outright. Not like he's overly powerful or something. Just, uh....Consider this pretty closely before ya follow through. Being a guy who can't play on either side might not be a very enjoyable experience. Just my advice on the matter.

...But if you're serious, well, I won't stop you; the sheet checks out, and I don't think he needs any limiters since he's just a really tenacious bastard with a small case of super strength. Just consider yourself warned on it xD

What can I say? I'm an evil, demented sonuvabitch! >:D

But I do get what you mean, hence why I have Jason put down strictly as a villain. Plus who knows, I might find some joy in hunting down everyone in the RP.

Between Jason and now Conker, I have a true fear for the state of this RP. Although I'm afraid since I'm trying to avoid things that are too mature, Conker might not be able to shine if you can call it that as much as he ought to. Just a fair warning.

As for @ActRaiserTheReturned The sheet itself is fine (although I feel like a few details might've been skimped in that stunningly short bio...), but I'll be placing some limiting factors on Merlin's skillset, which I'll be putting here.

  • Healing - I'll probably have his ability to heal others weakened just on the fact that things get less interesting if there's someone who can immediately patch up your broken arm or whatnot. He'll still be able to manage things like that, but it'll just take more time and probably be inconvenient for heat-of-the-moment stuff.
  • Time Manipulation - As will any other entity with time-based powers, they'll find that talent difficult to use and maintain in the Paradox Engine; not saying it'll be impossible, but he'll find using it to come with far more difficulty than normal, and last for quite the short duration.
  • Summoning/Animal Manipulation - This is a double-up because both bits don't need much. Summoning, well...I'd just like more specifics. What exactly is he summoning? As for the Animal Manipulation, I'll say that while he can pull this trick on most lesser reptiles, they'll now find dragons and similarly massive, intelligent reptiles to be more resilient to the effect. This is really just so I can still have cool incidents with those kinds of creatures that Merlin doesn't immediately turn off by existing lol.
  • Power Nullification - I think that term might be a bit too broad...It seems more like it'd be Magic Nullification? Er, regardless, while it already requires prep time, I'll say it might take more now, because being able to null any being's abilities, even only those who use Magic or something similar, is very powerful, and typically very lame to deal with lol.
  • Extremely high resistance to Magic - Not opposed to him being a lot tougher than most when it comes to dealing with magic, but this'll probably be lightened enough that enemy spellcasters and the sort could pose a threat to him.

Alright, limitations done! When you can, prepare a hider for Merlin and feel free to place him in Characters.

All acceptable stuff. Oh, and I doubt he can do much summoning in the role play, except for maybe ghosts, and I've never seen him command them.
