Disclaimer: I am pretty much set on the direction of the story that I want to tackle. I know not many people are down to play the Qunari, which I totally understand, but if you're one of those people, then this thread is not for you.
Note: Your gender identity won't affect my choice in writing with you. I just seek out people who play male characters while I play female roles, as I prefer to include romance and adult content. And yeah, you gotta be comfortable with writing adult content (profanity, violence and smut, no fade to black)
Multi paragraph to novella length posts, the least I'll post is two paragraphs, depending on the scene.
I pay close attention to detail when writing, I love to be detailed and bring the scene to life.
I post at least once a week, sometimes it may take me a bit longer, depending on what is going on. But as a patient and low-maintenance roleplayer, I would appreciate the patience and understanding in turn - we're adults.
I am hiatus and break friendly - even if you're gone for months, I'll be on board when you come back.
Cussing, sexual scenes and ruthless violence all are great and accepted here.
OOC chatter is extremely important to me.
I have very little limits when it comes to subjects in writing and am open-minded.
I am obsessed with aesthetic and use images for roleplay whenever I can. Let me know ahead of time if this is something that doesn't interest you.
I am a SUCKER for a slowburn romance and smut - I hate rushing things.
I'm big on world and character building, including side characters with some nuance to them, and so forth. I'm a big team player as well, so I'll need your help with some things!
I will always be ready to make compromises with you. I don't expect us to like the same things, but I am happy to meet somewhere in the middle with you.
Be at least 18+, 21+ would be preferable, considering that I am nearly 30
I expect similar effort in posting to my own which generally means 2+ paragraphs on a more lengthier side with focus on the details.
Willingness to plan with me - it's exhausting to be the only one running the show.
Please have understanding and patience with me, I'm really trying my best to balance out real life and hobbies.
Always share your ideas and desires with me! I really appreciate it when a partner comes to me saying "Hey, I really want to do a specific scene, something like..." Always be specific about it.
Writing samples are not obligatory, but I will still greatly appreciate it nonetheless.
Open-mindedness.
Most important of all - have fun with me. That's the whole point! Please don't feel pressured about anything.
In such vast plains of the tundra, the thick evergreen forests and the steep steps of the colossal mountains, the silence prevailed over these cruel lands. This was the land of death where only the strong would live. A lonely, vast landscape that was blanketed by the white sheet of snow and deep silence.
The winter had come and with it, kala settled along with the snow, the chill slowed the time and the nighttime dominated the cycles. But the darkness could not conquer these lands, as the white snow illuminated the landscape. And at this time of year, Ulfeid gave the marching soldiers a solace that is only present in this part of the world.
It was perhaps the last night where they would see the dark skies riddled with glowing and flickering stars, but like the waves of the vast ocean, the northern lights flooded the endless skies. White, blue and green stretched above the soldiersâ heads as they stared up in awe.
Those were the winds of SkaggarĂ°r, carrying Ulfeid into the realm of mortals. It matched her otherworldly beauty, even in these desolate times where manâs true capabilities will be tested. As beautiful as Ulfeid was, she was cruel, unforgiving and spiteful. All deserved to be punished, but only those of any worth shall live to see another day.
But to these soldiers adorned in steel armor, this was yet another winter, yet another war they were marching into.
And Aadam knew why Ulfeid was so keen on punishing them all. He knew that they deserved it. They forgot their roots. And that was exactly why the people of Winthrope suffered from kala. It was a disease that would be their downfall.
As the soldiers had set up camp, Aadam pulled an elk he had hunted earlier this day. It was a blessing to find anything alive during the winter to hunt and eat, but even as the general of the army, he would not share it with the men he was leading. At least, not all of them. What Aadam was doing was something that the king or anyone from the Winthrope court would disagree with.
He moved away from the campsite where the rest of the soldiers were preparing to rest for the day, while Aadam had entered the nearest forest, seeking solace among the trees. Along with him moved around a dozen other men, though they did not carry a lot of camping gear as the rest of the army did.
Their little haven was, for the lack of the better term, primitive, simple and practical. They set up a campfire, took off their armor and despite the cold, they only wrapped themselves in the furs of the animals they had hunted. Aadam was the only one wrapped in the furs of a large cave bear. They exposed their bodies to the cold as they huddled around the campfire, while Aadam had cut up the bloodied meat of the elk, while the man next to him made a bitter smelling tea that he poured in small wooden and roughly made cups that he handed to each man.
âUlfeid is giving us the final warning for this winter.â he whispered gruffly as he took the raw piece of meat from which he took a bite out of. It was unpleasant, the bloody juices trickled down his unshaven, blond beard as he chewed. It was a ritualistic practice of the WÇlf warriors, the ancient heroes that were called after the northern wolves who moved in packs. They were the agents of the old land where Thors ruled over the people of the north. Aadamâs ancestor, Hjällmar, was the earliest ancestor that Aadam could find his link to, and Hjällmar was a legendary WÇlf pack leader. In the stories, Hjällmar had separated himself from the link of humanity, with the intention of becoming an apex predator in the battlefield. Aadam followed the practices of his ancestor and shared it with the worthy soldiers he knew had the most potential to be the ones who will honor their ancestors and greet them in SkaggarĂ°r.
âStrĂĂ° will witness our glory. And DauĂ°i will welcome us home.â the man who concocted the tea whispered lowly, blowing whatâs left of the petal dust from the flower towards the general direction of the huddled warriors, and with the way they whiffed the air, it would be obvious how strong and potent the smell and effect of the plant are even as mere dust. Ulfeidâs Solace was a rare flower that grew in the Northernâs forests, difficult to find and only a few knew how to use it properly. The man who made these drinks was someone Aadam trusted with this practice. After all, this exact man had a strange background and was the first to support Aadam in traditional practices. He said he had many names: Benjamin, Francis, Wilhelm - all of them fake, but everyone referred to him as Shaman. His background and his story were unknown, mostly anything he had shared was a lie, but Aadam had never met anyone who had known so much about the Thorâlundr practices, alchemy and even had witnessed strange episodes of Shamanâs behavior.
In some strange ways, Aadam was convinced that Shaman can actually speak to gods. âYou will see them now.â Shaman giggled like a gleeful child, yet his bright eyes had glimmered with so much enthusiasm that it can only be described as madness. âI will take you to them. They are here. But they hide from Ulfeid. With each day, with each step, more of the land falls to kala.â
With everyone now holding the cups of tea that were handed to them, without hesitation, the group of men downed the awful drink that stung at their taste buds and left a lasting aftertaste. It was named Ulfeidâs Solace due to its effects - body heat increases exceptionally where one would seek to undress even in the coldest winter night. The feeling of comfort and euphoria rises in ways that would make one want to fall to their knees, and embrace the ground they walk on. The feeling of love and appreciation had increased. The childlike wonder would make one incapable to sit in one place, despite being haunted by hallucinations - hallucinations that mysteriously are shared by multiple people that are under the effects of this drug. It was not a personal experience for those who inhaled the smell and tasted the tea.
Barefoot and bare-chested, the group of warriors followed after Shaman through the thick forest, their hands brushing past the evergreen leaves and the barks of the trees, the feet heavily grounding themselves with each step, no matter how much the rocks or dried sticks would cut into their skin, they almost seemed unable to feel any sense of discomfort or pain.
They found themselves in the clearing where the Hjorkiâs Waterfall resided. To anyone else,it would be just beautiful scenery, of a large waterfall cascading down the rocks and into a stream that disappeared deeper into the forest. But this is not what they saw.
It was DauĂ°iâs head that laid there, his colossal head made completely out of stone - half of it a skull and the other half is the face of an elderly man. From the empty eye, the endless stream of water ran up what was supposed to be the rocks of the massive incline. The water was not running down. The time was going backwards. DauĂ°iâs bright blue eyes blinked slowly as he stared at the group of men who approached them, their faces unable to hide the shock and admiration of the scene.
On top of the waterfall, a silhouette approached, far above them. A large, masculine figure stood on top of god of deathâs head, with the axe raised to the sky. The man was a giant, as big as the fortified palace of Winthrope.
Shaman fell onto his knees, hands raising in the air as he joyously laughed, tears filling his eyes. âWITNESSED! WE ARE WITNESSED!â he screamed, as if he was unable to control the joy that he felt.
And Aadam could feel it too⌠Together, they stood before the gods. They not only have witnessed the truth that their ancestors believed in, but they were witnessed themselves, by those gods they were revering.
The Dragon Age epic
I'm back at this phase again and the desire to do these roleplays would not leave me be. So I had several ideas for separate stories that follow the games. In case you'd be interested in doing a long term roleplay that is based on the games and actually have ends that lead to new beginnings and content from the next game, I'm your gal.
Second and Inquisition based rps are my biggest craves. However if someone offers to be my long-term partner for all of the ideas chronologically, you'll get my undivided attention. I just love the idea of writing an epic Dragon Age story with reoccurring characters and with all of our choices leaving a mark, no matter how big or small.
Pairings
___________________________________
These are the pairings for the following plot ideas. My characters will be highlighted in italic:
Origins:Dalish elf mage x a character of your choice, entrely up to you
Siege of Kirkwall, aka the Second game:Human Assassin (Hawke based character) x Qunari from Arishok's group
Inquisition, sequel to the second game:same Human Assassin x same Qunari, now Tal-Vashoth (turned Inquisitor)
We can play all of these as far as I'm concerned. If you're a Dragon Age fan, we'll get along real well, there's no doubt about it. I know not many people are comfortable with playing Qunari, which is on high demand for me. I've played countless DA roleplays with human and elf characters (even dwarves), it had left me wanting something different. So if you're comfortable with playing a pretty good and accurate Qunari character for second and third games, I'll fucking love you.
Another note, if we end up working all of the plots chronologically, we can always use our main characters again in the future from the previous stories, be it as protagonists, side characters or have a massive impact as someone who had done something great in the past, much like it was with Hawke and Warden in the second and third game.
As for the Canon side characters, should we include them? Up to you! I'm down for playing Canon characters from the games anytime, as long as they're treated as side characters. But I'm also down for making new side characters based on the Canons and carry their roles for the sake of the story. I had played the Canon side characters in the past, so I feel comfortable doing it.
Now, onto the plots!
Origins and the Fifth Blight
___________________________________
For this, at least for my own character, I'd use a Grey Warden who wouldn't be showing up anymore in the stories after the Origins storyline, at least not as a protagonist, though that really depends on how this story goes. I don't have much to add to this, as it would follow the game in its entirety as it is, with of course freedom for us to tackle plots and things in ways we want and have to deal with consequences accordingly. I'm always down to add new additional things to the table to make our roleplay feel fresh.
I don't have specific demands for characters, as this is something I'd like to discuss with my partner on what sort of characters we can make together for the plot.
Siege of Kirkwall aka the Second game
___________________________________
This is the plot where I do want to focus in on some interracial relationship between a human and a Qunari, and is a story that will lead to the Inquisition timeline. With a Qunari loyal the ways of the Qun, meeting a free spirited human who leads him to freedom at the end of the events, only for years later when the tear opens in the sky for him to become the most important individual in Thedas. An epic tale and romance, if you ask me.
Although, most Canon side characters from the second game may not show up here, as I have a list of original side characters I'd like to use. That is, unless you're down of taking over the rest of the side characters! It's hard for me to say no.
My character is an Assassin and just recently became the head of the assassin organization who came to Kirkwall in their escape of the Blight. They had a run in with Isabela and her crew, which led to MC getting the Tome, unaware at the time that this Tome is the root of a major issue in Kirkwall - the Qunari. Upon realizing what this Tome actually is when they arrive to Kirkwall, MC with her right hand man decides to speak with Arishok and to return that bloody thing to its rightful owners, unfortunately the Tome was taken by someone in her crew who had wanted to blackmail MC and had taken the Tome to someone who holds political leverage in Kirkwall. So with a made up story, MC would stand before Arishok to tell him that someone they know holds the Tome and they plan to cause a disaster. And with her trusted right hand man who knows Qunlat helping the situation, they manage to convince Arishok to help them out in retrieving the Tome, sending his men to this mission, among which YC is one of them.
The person who took the Tome could be involved in the mess that lead to the Red Lyrium fiasco, so we can cover that ground as well.
MC will more or less have the same role as Hawke in this instance, which will earn her the same reputation by the end. Our characters bond during this journey, following the similar quests as in the game, having some of the more important side characters in the story until it reaches the infamous conclusion - Varric, Cassandra, Anders, Isabela, and maybe Fenris, including a desired character you'd like to include. YC had learned a lot from MC which in the end it affects his decision in turning against Arishok and it results with his freedom and becoming Tal-Vashoth as he leaves the Qun. Our characters, no matter if they end up cordial or in a fight, will separate and will not see each other again - until the Inquisition timeline.
MC fakes her own death in the meantime. She used to be the leader of a secretive Assassin organization only to become a renown figure, which she did not like. The death of the Kirkwall Champion would reach the news across Thedas, as well as YC. She had such an impact on his life, it surely wouldn't leave him feeling indifferent
The Inquisition
___________________________________
A direct follow up after the second game, I'm only interested in playing this as a sequel to the story prior to this one.
YC ends up following the Herald's storyline as the one who can close the Rifts. The Qunari who had become the Inquisitor, which works even better with the direct follow up from the second game, knowing Varric, Cassandra and through the two of them there is Leliana who support him against the Chantry's aggressive reactions. I would be down to play a side character for a while before my Champion character comes into play.
This time, MC doesn't come as presenting as the Assassin leader that your character knew and loved, instead as a masked Orlesian pirate assassin who is well known and quite legendary in the land of Orlais in the past couple of years. Whenever she puts up this masked identity, MC is like a completely different person. She comes with a ship and masked pirate men offering to aid the Inquisition but keeping up the act the entire time. At first YC would be none the wiser as to who this is, but eventually he should slowly realize that it indeed is her.
The plot will follow the game, so I've nothing set in mind yet that I feel I'd like to additionally add, but everything is open for discussion!
In conclusion...

Everything is up for discussion! The only thing I don't want to change is the pairing idea for the second and third game. As for everything else, it's open for planning, adjusting and changing.
All that's left to do is to send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE. I don't check the thread, I will be honest. Just pop in my inbox and let me know your thoughts!
