Of all the places to be, you ended up in Moon River.
Situated in sub-rural Wyoming, the town of Moon River sports under three thousand people. Itβs a middle of nowhere type of beat, with a whole lot of nothing to go on. With the school year ending and summer opening up, it allows new residents to get a feel of the town they just moved to while those who have been essentially stuck in Moon River their whole lives have the freedom to do what they want to do, even if the options are limited.
The nearest city, if you want to call it that, is Rock Springs. Itβs about a two hour drive down the US 191. Itβs even farther to get to Cheyenne.
Essentially, youβre not going anywhere. Even if youβve got a car, two hours is a bit of a time investment. But it isnβt all bad. The town sports a few key locations that the younger crowd tend to congregate around. Of these locations, the most noteworthy is five locales. The local bowling alley, a go-kart track with mini-golf options, an aging record store, the only movie theater around, and an abandoned department store parking lot that has been since occupied by the local skater culture. Youβre around sixteen years old going into your junior year of High School when the summer ends. Itβs time to make the best of it.
