The two pause for a moment, the male growling at you.

"And who are you?" He snaps.

Kiara, who was watching from the background, sighs but does not speak up. She is now a guard, despite her old age.

"I'm one of your alphas" She said, growling softly to show dominance, not sure if they would listen, the uncertainty showing in her eyes

The male scoffs.

"Sure. Sure."

Kiara stands, padding over.

"Be respectful, Dimitri. She is, so watch yourself," She barks.

The male whines, realizing that if Kiara says you are, you probably are.

"Sorry..."

His sister takes the chance to grab the marker and run off with it.

She sighs, not sure if she was cut out to be a alpha, her tail lowers a bit

The male pads away and Kiara turns to you.

"Hey. They'll learn. They tried to kill me when I was appointed. It gets better."

"Kill you!" She gasps, eyes wide

Kiara chuckles.

"Just kidding. They were receptive. After I asserted who I was. Do you want me to be your guard for a bit?"

She nodded quickly

Kiara ducks her head respectfully, shooting a glare in the relative direction of where Dimitri is now "guarding" the healer's cave, which doesn't need to be guarded since it's the most protected cave in the den.

Her tail flicks and she just stands there, having no idea whatto do now

Kadia stretches, her front right paw bent a bit strangely.

"Your paw looks broken" She said softly

Kiara glances at you, pulling herself back to a standing position, her paw now tucked behind the other slightly.

"It's been that way since I was a pup," Her voice is cold, as though she doesn't want to talk about it.

Her paw has always caused her to be a disappointment to most, as it was a severe weakness in any fight, meaning she was easy to defeat. The only reason she hadn't been dethroned right away was because her brother was Alpha and she was taking over for her mother.

She dipped her head "I apologize, I didn't know"

"It's fine," Kiara dismisses it with a flick of her tail, "So what now, Alpha?"

Her ears lower a bit at the title "I do not know" She says with a smallest sigh

She glances at your ears, sighing.

"Perk up," she advises, "besides if you don't know, ask somebody. Don't ask me. I'm just a guard, but... we do have betas... they probably need help on patrol schedule."

She makes her ears perk "Ok" She said, starting to head the opposite way of le betas

This is going to take a while... I can already tell there's a long night ahead of me... She groans inwardly.
