"No you didn't," Kiara mutters, trailing after you.

A few wolves give her a glare, now treating her like they would any guard who wasn't as able as they were. But nobody says a word about it, not wanting you to get annoyed with them. They respect their alpha, even though they all know just how difficult they can make Kiara's life now.

"I did to" She said, continuing her trot and glaring a bit at the wolves who glare at the former alpha

Kiara shakes her head, ignoring the glares and occasional growls. She's used to it. Yet, even by the time they reach the betas' cave, Kiara's irritation is clear. But she fights the urge to kill one of them, knowing she'll probably be exiled and killed.

Both betas happen to be in their den, quietly discussing patrol schedules. The beta female, Ella, looks up with slight surprise as you enter, followed by Kiara.

"Alpha. Kiara," She greets them.

Kiara nods a greeting. Ella and Adal are the only two high-ranking wolves who are decent to Kiara, save for Rowan.

She dips her head to the betas "I was wondering if you guys needed help with the patrols" She offered, tail flicking

Adal nods, holding out a paper to you. The beta male is in his human form, doing the writing while Ella lists off the pack's members and tasks.

"Any of the unmarked still need somebody to do them. Kiara, I'll add you to the schedule in a bit," Adal says.

Kiara nods her thanks, silent.

She shifts human, her long deep red hair brushing against the floor of the cave as she takes the paper

Adal bites his lip, looking like he's trying not to say something. Only Kiara's cold glare keeps him in check. Everybody in the pack, except for you most likely, is well aware that Adal is a hopeless romantic and flirts with almost everybody except Ella or anybody who's taken.

Ella yawns, stretching slightly. Her fur seems to be a dull white, though if she steps foot in the sunlight, it burns her- not in the way most would think. She's not a vampire hybrid, but she displays those traits, along with others. Her red eyes glitter with masked entertainment, though nothing seems to be entertaining...

The paper simply read the schedule, with names written in Adal's bad handwriting. It's pretty much unreadable. There are multiple blank spaces, but the words are not readable.

She looks closely at the paper, her tail swishing as she tried to read the names, her teeth bit at her lip as she frustratingly tried too read it

Adal watches quietly. Kiara steps forward, looking over your shoulder as she has turned to her human form as well. She's much older, perhaps in her thirties.

She was starting to get a bit frustrated, her ears lowering a bit, a very soft, almost unheard growl, was the only way to notice her frustration as she tried to read the paper

Kiara sighs.

"Adal. Nobody can read your writing. Ella should be writing the schedule," She states the obvious.

Adal balks and Ella covers her muzzle, trying to hide her laughter. Nobody had ever stated the obvious so plainly and perfectly.

She herself tries not to laugh, but still tried in vain to read it, her tail swishing against the ground

Adal scowls.

"That is no way to speak to your superior, Guard," He snaps.

Ella snorts, getting glared at.

"She's not wrong, Adal. Lay off her," Ella manages. "Here. I can rewrite it if you want, Alpha."

Ella's second words are directed at you, though she shoots an entertained glance at Kiara, who just sits there silently.

She seems startled at the title, as if for a moment she had forgotten her new rank, she nodded, giving Adal a apologetic glance as she nodded to Ella, handing the paper to the female beta

Ella turns human, takes the pencil straight from Adal's hand after taking the paper from you, and begins rewriting it in neat cursive. Unlike Adal's writing, the beta female's writing is near perfect.

Adal scowls, turning wolf before, sulking in the corner, glaring at Kiara with quiet but semi-playful contempt. Kiara smirks at him and he looks away from her.

She yawns a bit, turning back wolf and sitting down, ears flicking

Ella finishes rather quickly, filling in Kiara's name in a few blanks and her own in a few others, that Rowan would normally have done. She also fills in your name, which she already knows because she's spoken with Rowan. She looks up at Kiara.

"Kiara, would you go relieve Maxwell from entrance duty and take his place? I'll send your replacement later," She asks the guard.

Kiara nods and ducks out, though the moment she is far enough, she is attacked by another wolf. She doesn't make a sound, knowing it will only draw attention.

"Fight back, lame little pussy-cat," The wolf growls.

Kiara doesn't fight back. She will be the one in trouble for fighting back, not the other way around.

She gets a feeling something is up, but ignores it, her fur stands on end as she licked her paw to distract herself

Ella ducks her head to you.

"As for you, Alpha, would you like me to give you a quick tour so you don't lose your way, and introduce you to some of the pack's main players?"

She nodded "Yes please" She said eagerly, giving a soft smile
