Skywalker nodded subtly to a medic, who went to Megara and gently pushed her back down, doing Skywalker's work for him, one could assume. "You'll have to sit back a little longer, Master Shade. This is not up for debate. Am I clear on your orders?" His entire tone had changed. Until the medics cleared Megara for action, it was best to keep her away from the front lines. Perhaps the kids could help with that.

Chase and Pira Jackson

Chase reluctantly explained what he'd found on the recording to Pira, who listened quietly and displayed no reaction. Her only reaction was, once he'd finished, to thank him for finally quitting being a coward and to pick her book back up and continue reading. As far as she was concerned, it was adult business- no place for a child.

Megara cursed and said “I can’t just sit back and wait. I have a mission with lives at stake. I have to help. Just give me a pain shot and I’ll be good to go”

Bane nodded and said “now that is handled, do you two want to stay here or come on the bigger ship? I have to make sure the Jedi are getting along…”

Skywalker crossed his arms, scowling at her. "No. I will bring this to the Council if I must, so do me a favor and humor me."

Chase and Pira Jackson

"I want to stay right where I am. Kissimi won't do anything until Master Shade is active again, so we have time. Besides, I have to catch up on my studies," Pira replied.

"You're so boring, Pira! I'm not staying here!" Chase half snapped.

Pira lowered her book, using the Force to drag another book from the shelf. She personally threw it at Chase. "At least I have studies I can keep up with. You have nothing to do right now," She retorted in an almost passive tone.

Megara looked at him and said “put yourself in my place. Could you just sit back and watch your allies and friends fight a battle where you should be helping? Be aiding someone in need?”

Bane groaned and rubbed his eyes. “Okay…fine. Do what you both wish. I’m going to check on Shade. Anyone is welcome to come with me” he turned and left, starting to get a headache from all of this.

Skywalker sighed. "We need you alive, Shade."

Chase and Pira Jackson

Chase was quick to follow Bane, silently fuming about his sister's behavior. She wasn't that way normally. Meanwhile, Pira just picked her book back up and kept reading, not noticing the brown wolf padding out of the shadows.

Shade paused and then sighed, laying back as her pain went up the scale a bit. “Fine…but I won’t wait longer then I must…I have a mission…” she flinched a bit as she touched her own shadow, feeling the force working thru it.

Bane waited till they were outside then asked “when did she start to act different?”

"After I found the recording." He muttered in response, rubbing his wrists nervously. It's not normal. She's done it before when she's mad at me but not to this extent... Kissimi might have done something to her... Now his mind was going to irrational places.

Bane stopped and said “was kissimi alone with her at the time?”

He shook his head. "I don't think so. She told me she 'had better things to do than clean up after me' and just walked away," He rocked on his feet.

Bane frowned then said “I’m not sure kid…but maybe when Shade is okay and Kissimi leaves it will be alright…”

"What if we can trust her?"

Bane sighed and rubbed his pounding head as he said “then she will show us we can…the force has a way of showing the true colors of others…”

Chase Jackson

He nodded. "I guess so, yeah."

Pira Jackson

Pira finally looked up to see the wolf as it lay down in front of her. She reached out to pet it and it nuzzled into her hand, being completely friendly. She sighed, casting her book carefully aside to allow the wolf to put its head on her lap. She dismissed her brother's words as nothing to be worried about and would allow herself to interact as she normally would.

Bane lead Chase to where Megara was still talking to Skywalker and he opened the door “how is our Jedi doing?”

Skywalker rubbed the bridge of his nose between two fingers. "A handful." He responded cooly.

Chase Jackson

Chase kept up but hung back a little bit, just watching.

Bane smiled and said “I figured that was part of Jedi training. Be stubborn and always trying to do everything at once”

Megara sighed and saw chase and smiled softly “hey…I’m really okay…”

Skywalker offered a small smile of sarcasm before stepping out of the med bay and going to do whatever duties he had to do, as well as speak to Kenobi.

Chase Jackson

Chase studied the ground, rubbing his wrists and not acknowledging Megara.

She looked at Skywalker and said “can you tell your master I need to speak with him about my mission?”

Bane nudged the kid and said “if you want her to be your master, then make an effort.”

Skywalker ignored Megara, turning the corner and disappearing from view.

Chase Jackson

Chase rocked on his feet, giving Bane an unreadable look. Pira's the social one. I'm the one who does the actual task. She's the brains, I'm the brawn, except I'm not very strong, He thought bitterly, suddenly jealous of Pira.
