Zi looked between the two, confusion evident on his face. "The hell...?" He muttered, putting a glare back on his face as he took inventory of the stranger's weapons. "Tell me who you are and I might," He told her firmly. He wasn't changing his mind about this.

Whisper Bea

Whisper sighed, lowering her hands as she noticed Zi take inventory of her. She did the same to him, her eyes flicking over his form. She reluctantly gave in to his demand. "My name is Whisper Bea. Former FBI and CIA undercover agent when I was alive." She paused. "Lifesaver of your ward."

Bee tries to get up again. Falling.

Zi scowled. Not bad. Still don't trust her. DANGIT BEE, STOP THAT! "Mistress, you need to rest," He told her, pulling a chair over and helping Bee onto it at the very least.

Whisper Bea

Whisper rolled her eyes. "For once, he said something smart. You need rest, Bee. That wound won't heal in a minute," She hated that she was forced to agree with Zi, but he wasn't wrong. He's not very good as a guard. He's not trained very well, I can tell at least that, She thought, sighing.

Her wing buzzed and she cried out, her wing still had a mighty big hole in it.

Zi sighed as he looked at Whisper. "You have any more bandages for her wing?"

Whisper Bea

Whisper nodded then moved forward and started carefully bandaging her wing. She knew Zi would have wanted to do it himself, not trusting her, but she did it anyway. He'll live. He won't attack me, since he probably knows I'm better trained and have more versatile weapons than he does, as well as skill with those weapons. She thought.

"Thanks.." She said to Whisper, her wing feeling better once it was bandaged side she couldn't move it anymkre.

Zi took up a post against a nearby wall, keeping a close eye on the two of them. While he would never trust Whisper, he'd deemed her out of the threat range for now. But if that woman tried anything... Zi would not be happy.

Whisper Bea

She nodded. "No problem. You won't be able to move it for a while, but you'll live. That does mean no shows however. You'll need to cancel your upcoming ones until you heal completely."

She nods. "Ok." She said, tail flicking. "Soo, I have a idea, it'll piss off Zi and give you a decent job."

Zi sighed, overhearing this. "Why do you do this to me?" He grumbled.

Whisper crossed her arms. "What's the pay?" She responded cooly. If the pay wasn't any good, she had no intention of accepting it unless she negotiated her pay higher. She had a knack for negotiation.

"Well, your first pay is getting to piss off Zi, and there are multiple other benefits to working with me, including access to the human realm."

"Do I get a say in this?" Zi asked.

Whisper Bea

She looked at Zi. "No." She thought about the offer. If she could get back to the human realm, she could return to working for the government and earn a bit of money, all the while living both lives. She'd enjoyed her past life until she died, so returning would be nice. "While your offer is decent, I'd rather stay in the shadows. I'm sorry, but I cannot work for you, even if I'm ten times more competent than Zi."

"If you work for me you also get more popularity, which is pretty good pay." She said, her tail and mane weren't glowing like usual, usually meaning distress or something was wrong.

"I'm fully competent!" Zi objected. He was rather offended by the conversation.

She sighed. It would be unreasonable not to accept the offer- any normal person would have- but she liked remaining anonymous. She realized she could probably negotiate the terms so that her name was never used in public, so she at least had that cover. "One condition." She relented. "No public person gets to know my name- ever."
