She shakes her head, "let's not talk like that. We reside in the darkness, and use it...but we are not evil."

CHi manages to bring Ash back to bed and finds that there are a few fruits left, he helps her sits down and hands her one, taking a bite of one himself.

Dante frowned and said “I only mean that you said we needed more information on the inside. Surely a royal guard general has more information at his fingertips than most. Most likely why he was targeted in the first place” aura said softly “but how did he already help us? You said…”

Ash laid down and took a bite of the fruit. “Okay…what to fill me in on what the heck is going on?”

she smiles wryly, as she pauses her work, most wounds are very clean now. "Im sorry dante."

she looks up at aura, "he came back with information. Even, if for some reason, the little lady doesnt share that information with us...out intelligenace collecting can hunt down the lead he gave us."

CHi tilts his head, "...on what?"

Dante said “I’m sure she will. She saw what was done. We will have to make sure she doesn’t act on it on her own…” Aura nodded as she wrapped the bigger of the wounds. “He is trusting us with her while he heals”

Ash looked over and said “Bane. What is Bane doing here?”

"Oh, that..." he hums, then proceeds cautiously, "...How much did Astra tell you?"

"I'll tell him to keep a special look out over her" Astra says, finishing up her wound cleaning job, and weaving a small spell that send a breeze through the halls, until it finds Chi, giving him a message "In the meantime, Dante, you will continue to monitor the information side"

Ash said “enough to get me thinking about what’s going on and that there really is something wrong in the city. I’ve felt it for months now…”

Dante bowed and said “of course my lady. I’ll see what I can learn” he vanished and Aura looked at Bane who seems to be starting to heal thanks to them. “He is cute”

A breeze moves through the halls and into the room, refreshingly light, and disipating quickly. Chi nods slowly, keeping his eyes on her. "...After you left the diner, I debated following you, incase you were attacked again. Bane, surprisingly, gave me permission. Before I left, I thought it might be a good idea to talk to him about how the city is doing. We agreed that he would come here at midnight." he hums the back of his neck, "its been several hours since then, and we got attacked and...I guess he did too. We think it's related, and our information sources seem to think there's a guild behind it, who is hunting him down now." he sits up straiter, "..it'd be dumb for you to try to handle this on your own, so don't think about it."

Astra snirks, rolling her eyes and going to stand up. "If you think he's so cute, keep nursing him to health. he might fall for you." she says with a light tease.

Ash sighed and said “going alone now would be reckless. I’m not back to normal yet…it seems I need help with my secret skill…more than I thought before…getting into a fight with my head like this is a bad idea.” She looked at Chi and saw his face. “What? I take risks but I’m not a moron. Besides Bane is hurt. I’m not leaving him like that…”

Aura smirked at her and said “I said his cute, but his not my time. More your type, quiet and strong. And stubborn” aura moved back, checking her work on the bigger wounds that needed more help in healing. Then looked around and said “his too big to move to one of the rooms…”

"It would be reckless" he nods in agreement.

Astra stops, turning to aura with a raised eyebrow, "...my type?" she shakes her head, and heads to the door, "Dont move him then"

Aura smirked and said “you never know boss…it’s always the quiet ones who surprise you. Or is more Dante your bread and butter?”

Ash smiled weakly and then “I guess I looked like a moron in front of your boss…I can’t believe that happened…”

She shakes her head, pausing at the door, "...and how long do werewolves live, aura?"

Chi tilts his head, "...Im not sure of you looked that bad. Maybe a little reckless and self sacrificing."

Aura said “depends on the type. A turned one can live to about hundred. A pure blood can live for a longtime. I know a pure blood that’s been around since Middle Ages. Dante could tell us by his blood taste”

Ash looked up at him and said “really? I broke down in front of her…my shadows snapped…and she said I have been doing this wrong…”

She is quiet, thoughtful, then shakes her head, "if it comes to it, I'm sure we could just ask him. If he is our guest, we will not be invading his privacy, thats why i did not allow dante to probe him."

He hums, "Well, aybe you can learn from her?" he awkwardly finishes his fruit, sighing in relief as the mana soaks into him

Dante appeared at the sound of his name and said “did you have a question my lady?” Aura waved her hand. “Can you tell how old he is?” Dante walked over and picked up Banes jacket and sniffed the blood on it. He thought for a moment then said “his a pure blood. Around…300 give or take. Interesting”

Ash looked at him and said “maybe…are you okay? Your acting funny”

"Three hundred..." the elf leader chuckles and walks off.

"Well, its a funny situation i guess...a lot happened that I didnt expect, and now youre here, in our base...asking me to speak for the leader"

Dante looked at Aura and asked “why did you ask?” Aura was smirking and said “just trying to be a Cupid that’s all. Mind helping me with the general?” The Fang nodded and walked over and picked up the werewolf, the pair carrying him out of the room.

Ash blinked and asked “and why is that odd?”

"What do you mean, how?" he pauses and sighs, "I guess you don't know." he shrugs, and then gets that mischevious smile "just trust me."

Ash was confused then said “Chi…will you tell me the truth. Did you plan for all of this so I would join up?”

He stiffens, and frowns, "No. I didn't, thank you very much." he grabs another fruit, "I wanted to talk to Bane, and brought you here because it is safe, and he would come. I dont care if you join us or not. Thats your choice."

Ash sighed and nodded. “Sorry I asked that. I just had to look you in the eye and ask it so I could be sure. I wanted to make sure my gut was right about you.”’she looked at him again and said “thank you. For saving me. I…I want to know why your here. Do you believe in this mission of Astras?”
