NITRO was ready. He had practiced with his powers, he had heard of the villains warehouse, he could do this! he was planning to do this alone, but knowing his luck, some heroes had already showed up. doesn't matter. he would be the hero, and secure the glory, unlike every other time. This would be his time to shine! he used kinetic energy to pull himself to the wall, and climbed up. he looked inside. it looked empty and run down on the outside, but on the inside, all full of guards and shelves. he would do this, and find the power breaker.

It'd been a week, maybe more, unsure in this facility due to hardly seeing the daylight, mostly he was tested on over and over again like always, moved on weekly basis. The tests this time were based on combat, using the scythe, using the grimoire I coveted (I like first person best). I remember the spells were weak, not great for a test of the caliber I was in, nearly died, then I heard the guards moving quickly for some reason, wasn't meant to leave my room for any reason so I stayed in, read my grimoire, it didn't warn me of any danger yet so I was in the clear, hoped it would stay that way, the scythe said he was called Nocturnus last week, not usual for the artifacts I covet to talk but I'll do it. I opened my mind to the idea of a possible ally a while back, didn't expect it to be my weapon but hey, it works. His voice, thin, soft, almost childish sung in my head like a melody of a song I couldn't name "Got trouble nearby or no, guards seem on edge and are running around like chickens without heads" I chuckled at that. My dark, solemn voice sung its own dark and cryptic tune like a Halloween melody, ready as if a skeleton ready to pounce its target. "No, no danger, the Grimoire hasn't warned me yet, opening or closing my mind does no good against it, only you Nocturnus" I hoped nothing was happening to take me from my norm, knowing my luck though, I was about to be moved again.

David had a particularly hard day today, he had come to the realization that his katana needed a replacement, it was already rusty, it also didn't help that the place where he bought his coffee charged him with extra money due to the wreckage he did during a fight with one of his villains.

He gained the information of a hero raid on a runned down warehouse, ignoring the poor state of his former sword, David decided to attend to the raid, he did not find a lot of familiar faces in the group of heroes, maybe it was a baby's first raid, he didn't want anything with these guys, at least for now.

He jumped into the roof of the warehouse, he walked pass some 19-year old who was there, ignoring completely his presence, he took a deep breath, he checked his watch, his "coolness" was a bit low, yet it was more than enough to deliver a weak Awesomeness Punch, he got into position, finally noticing the presence of the 19-year old, he looked at him awkwardly.

"Oh... Sup." David kept looking at him as a cow looked at an incoming train, before commenting to him, "I'm going to blow this roof up, y'know?"

"... Um... dude. what's your problem? I'm supposed to do this alone." This guy is dressed pretty cool, but his attitude is like he's trying too hard. Nitro didn't know what this guy's problem was, but it was kind of reassuring to have other people here. "fine. Aight, so... do you have a plan, or..."

"Uh... I guess... blow this roof up?", His tone couldn't be more care-free, this seemed... usual for him, almost too usual, "Also... why alone, i mean it's cool and all, but... it's also kinda dumb, i mean, i get stronger the more stupid 'cool' things i do but... not you...", David almost laughed near the end, his powers where so silly, and it required a lot of effort to pull them into work, sometimes it took even days of planning.

"Y'know... i'll give you the honors, proceed please..." David ignored all he just said and comically showed him where to strike, his "coolness" got a bit higher for this, although, he doesn't even know why or how he gains "coolness", maybe from being a good person, it worked through that most times.

I kept quiet like usual when he heard the buzzing of the silent alarm and knew what to do now that it was going off "Time to go Nocturnus, silent alarm is going off" I grabbed Nocturnus and closed the Book of Fate before rushing through corridor after corridor, going down a memorized route before reaching the safest location in the facility, the basement. I rushed down the stairs with the scientists who tested on me and kept moving as the only living test subject they had that cooporated and quickly got in the safety room meant for me and sat down "Odd that it goes off a day after I get here, thought it'd go off right after I left like usual"

Nitro looks at the cool dude, and smirked as he takes a martial arts pose. "Heh I heard that naming your attacks makes them stronger. whatevs. Normal punch, Kinetic energy enhanced." Nitro punches in the air, and the wall of the warehouse is crumpled. It seems to be empty, except for a few shelves. "Well, I'm heading In. Feel free to follow." he walks in, and proceeds to use superspeed to check all of the boxes. "trash, trash, ooh! manga! taking that. trash. man, where is the stuff?!"

David looked at Nitro, almost disapointed, "What. a. disapointing. name.", He commented before jumping into the warehouse, he also checked into the boxes, "Mangas... nah i already have those, Ohhh...", Something had picken his interest, it were a pair of worn black glasses, he put on over the ones he already had, making his "coolness" raise a bit.

David looked around the place, and felt that something was off, he quite couldn't realize what was it, it was almost like a little tick. tick-tick. tick-tick tick-tick. "Oh Poop."

I remembered the telltale signs of a war brewing and heard guards shuffling above with their guns, then gunfire resonated throughout upstairs as guards found some enemies and shot at them, I didn't know what they found but they meant for my safety so I didn't complain, even though I wanted to see the outside world and used my magic to find the intruder they were about to shoot at and reached in his mind "Promise to break me out of the basement and I'll help in your upcoming fight, deal?" My voice sounded as if like I had been stuck in the labs my whole life though only sounded in his mind as I was nowhere near him

I scan the nearby minds and enters both of theirs before speaking in them "Stairs on the right, they lead straight to the basement, second floor has 2 guards and a patrol unit, mech division 3 I'd guess, head down to the vault door and take out the 4 guards and 3 mech units at the door to get in, in order to get in you'll need the keycard off one of those guards or mechs, any of them will do, find cell B6 and you find me, hurry, I think they're on to my escape plan here" I look at nocturnus smiling for once and actually happy as I'll be leaving labs for the first time ever it seems

David pulled out his worn out katana, the mere second he pulled it out he realized the poor condition of them, "Dammit, why didn't i bought something that wasn't so... cheap!!!", at midst of his naggings, he heard the voice on his mind, 'Ok. Who the heck are you???'

David walked to the stairs that lead to the basement, a guard came out, dazzled and confused, David hitted his face with the hilt of his katana, knocking him down the set of stairs, "Oops...", he looked down the staircase, the man was groaning in pain, yet he was knocked down, 'Ok, what do i do, go slow... from all the things you said i only understood that you are below the staircase...', David thinked, maybe the voice could hear his thoughts.

What the hell?! these are my thoughts... this is my domain and you are here UNINVITED! no one enters my mind without permission. A wall of mental energy forms around his thoughts. only certain things are getting out now. Nitro looks at Mr cool, then speeds down the stairs, leaving a red trail behind, and finds himself surrounded by robots. Aghhh there's that headache again. What's causing it? I need to figure it out... The cause is that the robots have electrical energy, which Nitro hasn't discovered how to manipulate yet, so it sets off the neurons in this brain, causing a headache. Oh well. this won't be diffic- oh shit. there's people in the bots. now i have to be careful.

I felt that barrier and realized I needed to ease the tension "Easy, the both of you need to stop worrying if I'm your enemy, I'm not, I've been experimented on my whole life in hundreds of different labs by these people, I need your help and you need mine, this facility has way more traps than you know of right now and only I can lead you safely out. Just get me out of that vault and I will explain everything, right now, get down the staircase and break through the giant vault door, I'll help where I can but right now I'm basically useless" I get up and walk out of my room and sneak to the door before making my mind enter the guards and a screeching sound fills their minds distracting and disorienting them

David holded his katana tightly as he began to walk into the underground compound, he beated up guards and mech suits with unusual ways, like a literal backflip kick, his fighting style was almost like breakdancing combined with some degree of kickboxing, david pushed his glasses up his temple and he used an special "Coolness" techniques.

David slashed a wall multiple times, cutting it despite the dullness of his sword, then he conected a powerful flame coated blow to the cross-section of the sliced wall.

"RADICAL FIST!!!"

David looked at the unfocused guards and the suited man in-front of him, "Sup, you're the mind guy???", He asked, ignoring that he had just blown up an entire steel wall.

I looked at the steel wall a moment through my mask and then back at Mr. Cool before saying "I always believed I wasn't the only one with abilities, never could figure out the exactness of how my powers worked though, but yes, as you say, I am the 'Mind Guy.' May we leave before the destroyer squadron arrives please" I was ready to go, the Destroyer squadron was dangerous at the best of times, flat out war criminals at the normal times, and may all the gods be merciful if they were angry because they wouldn't be. The only reason they would be deployed now is because the alarm connected to the door and that door alarm had been alerted I was inside that door, these were what they called my guardians and I knew they would stop at nothing to keep people away from me "We should probably leave soon if you don't wish to deal with them and I personally don't due to their ruthlessness"

"fine." picks up the 2 guys by the necks and super-speed runs out of the warehouse. We stop, and i put them down. Nitro takes out the manga he snagged earlier. "You don't care if i keep this, right?" he doesn't wait for a response and shoves it in his backpack. "welp. i'll be leaving, unless you have anything else to say."

I wobbled a bit from the odd speed given at the time and then look at Nitro "So, energy manipulation, fascinating, and that manga is probably one of the scientists so I don't mind either way, but do note that we might not be... crap" Keeper then reveals Nocturnus, his scythe, and prepares for combat as combat units head their way "Company" The book I have then flutters open and floats beside me as I float mid-air and start to chant

Instead of being only wobbled a bit by the speed, David freaking puked, he looked at Nitro, "THE. HECK!!! FIRST ASK DUDE?!?!?!", He tried to catch his breath, The Radical Fist to have taken a lot of "coolness" out of him, his eyes seemed more darkened, and even his clothing seemed less colorful.

"God...", David took a breath of deep air, before noticing something was coming, not something that the Mind Guy said, something different, "Please don't any supervillain, please don't be any supervillain..."

I felt his presence first and froze, I knew how this was going to end up if we didn't run now, there wasn't a question. He was here now, the menace of the death squadrons. Altrack, the deadliest warrior alive who basically didn't die. "Run, RUN NOW" I fly off with my book and Nocturnus obviously terrified "IT'S ALTRACK JUST RUN, HE WILL KILL YOU BOTH LIKE YOU ARE ANTS AND HE IS AN ANTIMATTER BOMB!!" I was already flying, my book sending direction after direction as to where to go "FOLLOW QUICKLY!!" I knew the book always kept me safe so I trusted it, I knew how this would end if I didn't trust it now especially. I didn't know where I was headed, but soon I saw the headquarters of the heroes association that employed the powered people to be heroes "INSIDE QUICKLY, ELSE HE FINDS US AND ENDS YOU BOTH AND TAKES ME BACK!!"
