K I N G D O M ♥ H E A R T S

KHΩ

The dazzling empire of Fort Fortune is like none other. It's influence stretches vastly across the Realm Of Light with colonies built up on every major world currently discovered. It is at the forefront of technological advancement and absolutely uncontested in terms of power. The people of Fort Fortune are the overlords of the Realm Of Light.

Fort Fortune and it's countless colonies require a ridiculous amount of energy to power their facilities, energy that can only be harvested from the purposeful destruction of worlds. Worlds deemed fit for farming raw materials are fed to Heartless whom are bred to overpower the World's Heart and create a Nowhere Zone. A Nowhere Zone, much like a Nobody, is an empty husk left behind when a Heartless is born. When a world becomes Heartless it becomes a creature infinitely more ferocious than an ordinary Heartless. These almighty beasts rome the void and make inter-world travel incredibly dangerous. The remnant Nowhere Zone is then deconstructed and returned to Fort Fortune to be processed into valuable materials and energy.

The employees of Fort Fortune whom make this process possible have a variety of different roles. There are scouts that seek out suitable worlds, colonizers that set up facilities up on new worlds, security that protect staff from the world's natives, delivery crews and many more. The role we'll be concentrating on for this RP is the role of the Server Technicians.

Fort Fortune's denizens have successfully replicated the Keyblade. Artificial Keyblades are standard issue to every Fort Fortune employee but the drawback is that they operate by connecting to Servers. A Keyblade outside the reach of a server will not function. During the colonization process of new worlds servers are installed. Additionally, every airship capable of inter-world travel is equipped with a server. The responsibility of a Server Technician is make rounds between colonies and ensure servers are working efficiently. A colony without a working server is usually destroyed by natives thus the Artificial Keyblades are necessary to keep natives at bay while their world is being harvested.
That's the premise basically. If you're interested but there's something you're a bit iffy about or just plain don't like, let me know and we can discuss it. I'm totally open to any and all ideas so don't be afraid! Besides, I prefer group projects anyway. If this picks up I'm probably not going to be all too serious about GMing. There won't be any limitations or rules (apart from the obvious ones, Of course -_-'). I'd just hope everyone would be mature enough to handle that kind of freedom. I'll further explain how things would work if this gets interest.

They're employees of Fort Fortune. So technically they're "bad" guys. It would be like, hmm, what is a good analogy?

Thinking.

OK, you know how parts of the Amazonian rain forest are being chopped down for palm oil? I'm not entirely educated on this topic but palm oil is in a lot of things we use everyday. The average person wouldn't say that the men and woman working to harvest palm oil are necessarily evil. We've grown up accustomed to the things we use that need palm oil to be made. Deforestation is sort of a normal thing. That's kind of what would be happening here. Our characters aren't evil, they've grown up thinking it's normal to deconstruct worlds for energy.

If you were to join, it would be up to you whether your character wants to champion the plight of the Disney World's inhabitants.

What makes the server technician role important/special? Why focus on portraying that role? Just curious.

Because they would be able to see a wider picture of what's going on. They would be traveling from World to World and interacting with a wide array of Fort Fortune staff. Colonizers and security wouldn't leave the colony until the world has been harvested. Delivery crews would be in and out and probably never return again. Additionally, if our characters rebelled against Fort Fortune they would have all access passes to all colonies and advanced knowledge on shutting down servers, which would in turn leave colonies defenseless but also themselves.

If anyone has an alternate idea, or anything they'd rather be done a different way, let me know. ^_^

I guess a plot hole could be, why don't colonies just have line-in technicians. I'll have to think of something, hehe.

This premise sort of reminds me more of final fantasy. In the way that the corporation is sorta evil. So my thought is would there be a guerrilla style resistance group? I mean it'd make a whole lot of sense if there was. Because even in real life there are people fighting the deforesting. I mean most of them aren't local. So I was thinking the resistance would be made of the survivors from the destroyed worlds.

That is such a good idea!!! We could have a selection of Disney characters that have formed a Resistance movement. Instead of appearing like their usual colourful selves they would appear somewhat more battle exposed. I'm trying to think of worthy candidates for survival now. Maybe Scar from the Lion King? It would be nice to see the heroes and villains align to fight for the same cause.

Yay, glad to have you aboard. I'm just going to make the OOC now. If more people join, they join, if they don't, they don't.

Ooh, yeah. He's a good fit. How about an aging Peter Pan who can't fly? He could have a romance with Pocahontas.

Woah now I was just making a suggestion. There could be quite a few of these characters. But, we should also still remained focused on the main part. Which was with the key blade weilders. Also I still think that there is something wrong. Keyblades never have any issue working. Because it is based off of the weilder's heart. Even if the weilder is evil the keyblade has no issue functioning. Not to mention their should also be a few keyblade weilders on the guirella's side.

Hehe, I know. It's just some brainstorming. ^_^

About the Keyblades. The ones that are wielded by Fort Fortune employees are like mirage Keyblades. I envisioned that the people of FF wouldn't have strong enough hearts to wield real Keyblades and there would be no one to perform the inheritance ceremony on millions of employees anyway. They're science's best attempt at mimicking the Keyblade, so in that respect they're not really Keyblades. Also I don't think the Resistance should have Keyblades since it would make them significantly stronger.

But we should discuss it! My word isn't law, haha.

OOOooooh! Okay that makes sense.

Though maybe just their leader has one. I mean it would make sense. Seeing as they would have been the ones to save the other characters.
