[OOC] Mental Institution for Trouble Teens

Welcome to our facility, everyone here has a different disorder ranging from OCD to depression to anxiety. But that is why you are here. Here you make friends, have fun, and a few people even find romance. Our goal is to help you understand your problem and to defeat it. Once you have improved you will be released back into your life. All of you have been here for at least one month and are 16-17 years of age so you live on the top floor. Your schedule is the same as those around you but during one free period you will have an hour session of therapy with either the girls or boys therapist. Please do your best to enjoy your stay here!

Plot
You are a teenager who has a disorder of some sort. You have lived in the Institution for over one month. You have gotten a bit better but it is still hard for you. Although it is a nice place with very nice people. Even all the patients are nice in their own way. Every room has a white door that all the patients can decorate and personalize to make them feel more at home. The only rule other than following the mandatory schedule is that if you want to shave you can only do it after breakfast during free time and the stall door must be open so the supervisor can make sure you don't do anything but then you return the razor and you can shut the door to finish showering. You are free to wear anything as long as there aren't belts or strings or etc. You also can't have electronics.

History: May grew up ever since she was young with parents who fought. Her mother turned to overworking herself and her father continued cheating(a.k.a. the cause of the fighting) and came home drunk or didn't come home at all. They never divorced eachother and just kept fighting. Her father would take his anger out on her and abuse her mentally and physically. She turned to cutting herself so she could feel as though she had control of something in her life. That lasted for over a year. She wore nothing but long sleeved tops to hide her arms. May eventually found it unbearable and attempt to commit suicide but her mother returned from work in time to get her to the hospital. She was released and sent straight to the institution even though her parents didn't think anything was wrong with her and she didn't either and even after one month she doesn't

Pantophobia- The fear of everything

History: One by one, phobias began to latch onto her like a leech. As a child Luce was isolated, her mother often times never allowing her to go outside, she was homeschooled and had never seen the light of day from outside her home. She never knew what was beyond the doors of the house, and her mother made sure that she never did so. Her young mind was easily manipulated to believe that everything was dangerous, thus Luce must always stay inside, with her mother there to protect her.
She became insane, everything around her was seen as a murderous device. 17 years of never going outside, not once, it drove Luce to a breaking point, she cowered in her room in the corner and constantly wept, too afraid of what was around her.
Her mother brought her to this institute to help her instead of bringing her to an asylum, feeling as though she would have a better time coping. While Luce stayed for a month, all she ever did was sit in her room and cower in the corner, though taking her medicines did help somewhat, she still has a hard time associating with others due to the fact that she never speaks. For the first time in 17 years she went outside, and that was to be directly put into another room.

Disorder: Dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality disorder)
History: Clara was born with her sister Katie, they were twins but at a very young age Katie tragicly passed away this broke something inside Clara and as she grew older "katie" came back in a break off personality inside Clara's mind, Clara's parents could not take the stress of reliving Katies death again, so they sent Clara off to be treated.
Other: Clara and Katie share alot in common, but the main differnce is Katie is a leader type where Clara is a follower, the Clara and Katie personalitys are so wrapped together they can have conversations with each other. some people are unsure what personality is the dominate one.
Clara tends to dress in pink where as Katie dresses in red

Chiraptophobia- Fear of being touched

Since birth, Arabella has always been uncomfortable with being touched. She didn't know why but it always made her insides twist and her skin feel cold whenever she was touched anywhere on her body. She would always stay in her room, hiding under her blankets as her parents fought. They blamed each other that something was wrong with their daughter and so their screaming matches usually lasted well into the night. Arabella was often not able to go out in public; just the thought of walking down the street, through stores and the possibility that people could brush up against her, touch her, nearly sent her in a panic. Things only grew worse when Arabella turned ten and her father began coming home late smelling of alcohol, her mother hardly coming home at all. Her parents fighting escalated physically and her father normally took out his anger on Arabella after her mother would storm out of the house and not come back for well over a day, causing her discomfort of being touched in a fear of being touched. This continued for about six years with her mother either not noticing the bruises and cuts all over her daughter or not caring enough to do anything about it until one night, when her father had beaten her to the point of unconsciousness, did the neighbors burst in, having heard the screaming. Arabella was taken away from them and sent to a nursing home but when they found out how Arabella reacted to touch, they shipped her off to the Institution, not wanting to deal with her. For the entire month she had been there, Arabella mostly stayed in her room, avoiding human contact.

She loves drawing and painting. Her room is covered with her drawings.

Name:Shin Watanabe
Age:17
Disorder: Homicidal Ideation - Medical term for thoughts about Homicide
History: As a child death was constantly on Shin's mind. His father didn't think anything of it, but it terrified his mother when she would talk to him about all the things he thought of. When Shin turned 7 his father began physically abusing his mother. This angered the boy and made him begin to hate his father. 6 years later his father had gotten worse. So one night Shin took a large butcher knife from their kitchen and stabbed his father over and over until her died. His mother woke while he was doing this and was horrified. The only reason Shin wasn't put in prison was because he was a child. So he was put in the institution and has been there ever since. Unlike most people, he hasn't gotten better. 2 years in, there was a patient though that he met, she was beautiful and kind even to him. She had schizophrenia, but eventually she became his best friend. One day she came up to him during their free time and begged him to kill her, she was terrified and the voices kept screaming at her for getting close to him. So he did, he chocked her to death just as she had asked him. Now for safety reasons Shin is usually kept in handcuffs when around the other patients just in case. He's been there for 4 years now and knows all the workers and has told them several times about how he sees them dying.
Other: Sometimes he is put in a straight Jacket just to be safe

Disorder: Sociopathic Personality disorder - A distinct lack of empathy, morals & remorse, among other things
History: John was always an odd one, even as a kid. While the others were playing tag or kickball at recess, John was the kid either avoiding contact with everyone, or pulling the heads and limbs off of the toys of the younger kids, in middle school, when kids expressed an interest in a particular future career or a subject, John would go out of his way to figure out how to ruin things for the others in the worst way for the sheer pleasure of it. His parents first thought that John was merely a bully that would grow out of it when he got older, be it because he became ashamed of what he was doing, or because someone finally knocked some manners into him. That thought was instantly thrown from a window when John was found responsible for the suicide attempts made by multiple students during his time in high school. During counseling, John's therapist asked him why he convinced his fellow students to attempt to kill themselves, his response? "Because I was bored. Besides, the gene pool could use some cleansing.". Not too long after that he was admitted to the institution. His parents still hold out hope that their son isn't a monster.
Other: Do NOT let his sweet face fool you, John is highly manipulative and is not to be left around the other patients without a staff member on standby. He also shows a distinct fondness for trolli brand sour gummy octopuses.
