I was thinking of an underground garden where perhaps her past royalty have their tombs. >.> Or maybe just a secret garden that she uses as a second room to escape from everyone. Both seem fitting for her.

I do like both ideas, but to me the garden sounds more fitting to Crystal's character. Maybe the garden also has some sort of secret hidden that only Crystal knows about, aside from the one Lord Varros is after. Plus it could play a pivotal part in the latter half of the story.

Eh maybe a magical object of some sort, say a parting gift from her mother before she passed away. Also, and sorry if I seem naggy, did we ever explain how Crystal's mother died? I get the feeling we did and in my short attention span, I may have forgotten it.

No we didn't establish that, yet. I haven't figured that out yet, because there are so many ways to kill someone off. Perhaps an illness, or murder

Illness to me seems the more plausible one, because I have my doubts Varros would have murdered the queen. Plus the illness could have been attributed to the Royal Treasure (which we still have no idea what that is either) being inside the queen's body and possibly feeding off her energy until it was transferred over to Crystal. Yeah I...think too much about this >..>

That's a good idea, actually. I did consider that, but I wasn't sure. I wonder what we should call the treasure. Perhaps it's a gemstone?

I'm just going by the heart shape, but maybe it's he or she who wields it holds the life of Alegasia in their hands, and they alone have the ability to either bring the Kingdom to peace or absolutely destroy it.

OMG I had the exact same name in mind, no lie no lie. So yeah, that will be the gems name. It will have been in the family since the beginning of time, and perhaps there are stories that speak about it, but people brush it off as like, a myth or something. Perhaps it's true name is unknown and it really has nothing to do with Alegasia, maybe the first king discovered it and has had it ever since, but like you said whoever wields it will bring peace and prosperity to their kingdom, or be able to destroy.

It can be Crystal's heart, but wouldn't that make her invincible in a way? I was thinking her life force is stored in it, the gem needs a host or something and can only removed by a certain magical instrument, or a spell. idk. :o

I would say through a ritual. Lol I guess great minds do think alike ^_^ I just thought of Heart of Alegasia on a whim.
