For Kingdom Guild: Golden City

Full Name: Ashling "Ash" Linwood

Alias: Wonderland

Age: Twenty-four

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Homeland: Oxford, England

Appearance: Looking at Ash could be like looking a a gray-scale painting, her skin an unsettling porcelain and her hair a stark black in comparison. The only bright part of her appearance is her eyes, they are a startlingly clear blue, framed with drooping eyelids; sleepy eyes. Her figure is slim, and she is somewhat short for her age (much to her distress), and seems to rely more on speed and momentum than strength in a fight due to this. Her arms and legs are covered in bruises from many accidents in the work place and from her "adventures" outsides. She has dainty hands, the knuckles and joints forever darker then the rest of her skin, and her nails are stubby and grimy from gardening. Ash's face is small and round, framed with dark brown hair, her cheeks and nose faintly pink, with doll lips, and what seem to be forever tired eyes. She always seems to have a tired or bored look on her face.

Languages: English and some broken French which she learned at a young age.

Height/Weight: 5'1,124 lbs

Outfit/Armor: Ash owns various dresses of various styles, but on a job she fancies a navy blue dress with short, puffy sleeves, and a fanned-out skirt that is cut to about mid-leg. A simple white apron is worn over the dress, black-and-white stockings underneath, and black knee-high boots which are secured with a silver buckle. The dress is snug around her waist and surprisingly easy to maneuver in.

Hunting Gear:
• Vorpal Blade: A weapon given to her by Merlin, it's a rather ornate short sword adorned with a floral pattern along the blade. Apparently, it was used to slay a horrible beast long, long ago. Ash is very protective of it.

• Pack of Cards: Weak little things, used mostly for long range attacks. They are actually quite heavy, mostly due to them hiding very sharp razors underneath. When thrown correctly, the cards will whip back around and return to the sender. Ash is still trying to get the hang of them.

• Sweet Smelling Pouches: Filled with flowers and herbs; apparently used for Alchemy. One particular item is a rather large, colorful mushroom with many little nibbles and pinches taken out of it.

• Likes/Dislikes:
+ Tea: Her love for tea was brought on by her mother, who would serve tea every single day at a set time. Ash could easily be bought is tea is mentioned even once in the deal, much to her own dismay.
+ Gardening: Flowers always calmed Ash down when she was in a panic, and seeing as she worked as a gardener she has a knack for it.
+ Sleeping: Or more specifically, dreaming. It doesn't take much to have Ash dream, in fact, it sometimes happens when she's awake. Her dreams are wild, colorful, some good and bad, and she can't get enough of them. Some have found her whispering to flowers or bugs, eyes closed, walking with a stagger. Sleepwalking.

- Reading: Books without pictures were never a favorite of Ash's, in fact, she absolutely hates them.
- People: Apart from them calling her crazy, inept, and other rather rude (and perhaps true) names, Ash always feels as though they have their own goals in mind whenever they're doing something, and that makes her very, very nervous around them. Besides, rabbits and flowers are much better conversational partners!
- Sleeping: While some dreams can be good and well, others are gruesome and trigger-inducing. Ash's dream world could go from colorful, bright, and whimsical to infested with darkness, miasma, and blood. Sleepwalking with nightmares can be dangerous to those around Ash at the time, and some might get a fright if they wake up to find the poor girl strangling herself, smashing her head against a wall, or something else equally crazy.

Occupation: She was a caretaker for a rather large estate. It had the most magical garden she could have ever imagined.

Skill Set: Ashling is surprisingly good at fast-paced combat, especially with shorter weapons. She is quick, clever, and tries her best to be precise with each slice or hit. What she lacks in strength and power she makes up in speed and mind. Knows basic hand to hand combat, but finds it hard to use seeing how weak she is. Also, she has a knack for alchemy, and is known around the small community of chemists and alchemists for trying coming up with a shrinking potion and growing cake (And even now, she's still trying to work it out. They always seem to end up badly, though). Other then fighting, she is rather good at many mundane tasks, like cooking, cleaning, and gardening. Ash also has a very vivid imagination, and due to that she is a master story teller.

Magic Abilities: Ash's magical ability is more for defense then offense. If, for some reason, she falls a long way down, a flurry of wind and butterflies slows her down to a gentle float. Seeing her use magic is pretty rare, though, for it quickly burns up her energy and leaves her in a rather weak state if used too much.

Pets/Companions: A rather old, unnaturally colored, grinning cat named Vapor. The two have known each other for very long, and if Ash isn't asking herself for advice, she's asking Vapor. Apparently, Vapor talks in riddles and disappears often, but always seems to return with some new or rare sort of herb or ingredient for Ash to use.

Personality: Ashling is a sharp woman, one who is not very fond of people and places. She is not afraid to speak her mind and will more times then not fight for what she believes is right before truly thinking into it. Very curious towards things that seem strange and loves to go out and adventure whenever she gets a chance. Typically cynical of most people, she is overly polite and quiet around strangers, and at times even friends, unless they are doing something outright wrong or immoral in her eyes. If that is the case, then she will not hold back on insults or reprimands until she feels it is right to stop. Plagued by visions of a better (or worse) place, Ash finds normal life to be rather mundane and gray, which leads to her daydreaming when she should be working or paying attention to something. Absolutely loves riddles and poems, but hates reading for long periods of time (if there aren't pictures, she'll surely give up half away through). Easily stressed out, Ash has trouble keeping calm at times, and may run head-long into trouble without thinking if pushed to the limit. Although often showing a brave face during times of danger, and quick to debunk bullying and harsh words from others, Ash is constantly haunted by the visions of her dream land, both good and bad versions, and as such is actually a bit unstable. She's been called "crazy" by her peers for many reasons, which include sleepwalking, laughing at nothing, talking to herself, and many other nonsensical things. Due to these seemingly insane ticks of hers, she isn't the best at making and keeping friends. However, her insanity does not define her. Underneath the scared and scarred Ash is a very clever, very kind girl who will stop at nothing to help someone in need.

Background: The Linwood household was a middle class family of three, Charles Linwood, Mary Linwood, and of course little Ashling Linwood. They were your average family, Charles worked as a hunter and sold the meats and pelts in town while Mary stayed at home and home-schooled Ashling for her body was too weak to work in the town. They lived in a comfortable cottage on the outskirts of Oxford. It was a good life. Now, Ash's... Imagination truly didn't begin to show until she was about six, when her mother and her decided to go have tea time in the garden. The garden was Ash's favorite place, it was large, filled with plenty of flowers and easy-to-tend-to crops, and thinned out towards the end of the lawn where a tiny forest sat. The two sat at a little white table, tea cups and a small plate of biscuits in front of them, and they began to tell stories and riddles.

"Oh, have I told you the Sphinx's riddle?"

"Yes, mummy. Plenty of times! Can I hear the one about..."

Ash slowly stoops to a silence, eyes locked on a shape in the rose bush behind her mother. Something white and furry peeked out from behind, and then quickly vanished. The next hours were a blur, all Ash could recall from her memory was getting up and scurrying under the bush, ripping her dress and dirtying her legs, and bounding after the white shape. I've never seen such a white rabbit before! That was her prominent thought, and it was so prominent that it blocked out her mother's confused cries to come back. Her tiny legs carried her into the woods, down somewhere dark that became light, and then she woke up in her bed with a bandage wrapped tightly around her head. No one spoke of the incident. This is when Ash began to see her dream land, night after night, and when her insane sleepwalking began.
When she turned twelve, Charles brought home a small, white kitten, which Ash immediately latched onto. It was named Vapor, and had a rather chilling face, for it always appeared to be grinning. They soon grew inseparable. On her thirteenth birthday, her father offered to give her lessons on defending herself. Everyday afterwards they would practice sword fighting and some easy survival skills, like known what berries to eat and how to climb trees. One day, while climbing a bit to high into a tree, Ash looses her balance and toppled from a very high branch. Much to the surprise of her father and her, though, she didn't plummet, instead, she floated down gently. Carried by a whirlwind of leaves and wings. After a few moments of hysteria, Charles revealed to his daughter that magic wasn't an uncommon trait in their family, and they both quickly accepted it. At the age of fifteen, Ashling became increasingly interested in Alchemy. This was bought on by both her dreams and her mother's growing sickness, and while she hates such boring tasks that require reading, she felt as though she could try and help her mother in some way. Her mind and body trained every day, working on potions, medicines, anything. While working, she failed to notice Vapor had begun to change, turning different colors as he grew, and sometimes after a long while of studying she would turn to find strange and unfamiliar plants behind her, left by the strange cat. They were put to use in her studies. She memorized the periodic table, the available herbs and ingredients, but she was, of course, a bit too late. After two years of research, trying to save her mother, it was all for naught. Mary Linwood passed away peacefully in her sleep.
A year later, Ash still seems a bit stressed about the incident, but no longer lets it get in the way of her research or her battle training. She spent her days tending to the garden, trying her best not to get bored while studying, and job hunting. By the age of nineteen, Ash felt that she was troubling her father by staying at home, so she got up one day and decided that she was going to find her own place and job. She left Oxford with only her alchemy kit, a few books, some money, and a dream ("How cliche!"). She found work at a large estate in a neighboring town, and was allowed to stay in the servants house as a maid and gardener. She worked there until another job appeared before her, in a Guild in America. Fighting to help other people... And perhaps she can put her odd skills to use. She signed up almost instantly.

(TL;DR: Hit her head as a kid, mum died, magic happened, and signed up for the guild instantly)

Unique Abilities: Her knowledge of alchemy is rather helpful, seeing as she can create both basic healing elixirs and her own concoctions to aid in a fight. Perhaps her dream world could be considered an ability too, as many of her ideas come from her dreams, and it seems that she has the ability to talk to plants and animals.

Other: "I'm not crazy!"

For Why Does My Back Ache?

Name: Alice Riddley

Sex: Female

Age: Nineteen

Personality: Calm

Bio: Alice first moved into the city when she was eight, and lived a fairy average life with a fairy average middle-class family of six. Her mother and father, while average, were also extremely over-protective and nosy, much to Alice's dismay, and her three siblings were just plain mean-spirited (but then again, they were much younger then her). All throughout high school, they just got caught up into her business until she couldn't handle it. Alice decided long before she entered the local college that she would move out and live on her own (even though she was terrified to do so), and thus at the age of eighteen, a few months after graduating high school, she moved into a small and rather crappy apartment. At first she was scared, but after laying in her own bed, in her own room, she decided it was better then being back home. Goes to college for art and graphic design, works at a local cafe.

Relations: Lives with a small, black, female cat named Rubix. Ashley and Rubert are her parents, and Kim (11), Richard (11), and Doug (8) are her siblings.

Fears: Being alone, the dark, and heights.

Back Ache: To Be Assigned

For Hallows Inn

Name:
Seda 'Seddy' Anima

Age:
Nineteen

Race:
Human

Gender:
Female

Sexuality:
Demisexual

Class:
Thief

Weapon(s):
* Dual Daggers: Two daggers stolen from a town far away. Both hidden beneath her tunic, attached to her thighs via two different scabbards.
* A Walking Stick: Normally held, it is a tall, knotted staff that is somewhat pointed at the end. Somewhat heavy, but Seda has luckily grown used to the weight.

Armor:
A loose outfit made of somewhat cheap fabrics. Her head is normally covered by a hooded, black cloak, and she wears a knee-length, dark purple tunic. Her pants are black and tied tightly at her ankles. Easy to move in and quiet.

Personal Trinkets:
A crystal knife which was given to Seda by her mother.

Short History:
Seda was born one winter's night to a guild of thieves who barely made living on the edge of a town. She was blind, weak, and the family knew they would be unable to care for her. Thoughts of putting the child out of her misery were out-spoken, but her mother, Arryn, refused. After a rather heated debate and many threats, Arryn ran out with the child. The women left behind the guild to live, hopelessly, in a forest beside another town.

They managed to live off both the land, eating berries and hunting game, as well as through thieving. Seda learned to live without her eyes, using the feeling, smells, and sounds around her to pinpoint people and places and things. Hearing is her greatest asset; she is able to hear a pin drop from a yard away depending on the other sounds in the area. She was trained to fight blind, to live off the land, to sneak, to act, and to dodge, among other things.

The family of two were very alike in many ways, both haughty, both stubborn, and clever as can be. A no-nonsense type of team. Her mother and she became two of the most notorious thieves in the town, too well known as it seems because they soon had to move again. Their lives continued just like that, moving from town to town, thieving and thriving wherever they could. Until, one day, they were finally cornered. With nothing else to do, her mother quickly chucked her a sack of (stolen) coins to her daughter and a crystal necklace she had always held onto and threw herself into the fray. Seda was left with no choice but to escape without her mother, back to their rendezvous spot, where she waited for several days until she realized that her mother was not coming back for her. And she was alone.

She left the town and continued to the next, and the next, and the next. Seda became known across many towns as a thief, known for her 'acting blind and then pick pocketing' routine and many others. There were many bounties on her head, and many people would try to hunt her down. One particular chase gave her no choice but to flee into the Drakenwald, where she (surprisingly) found refuge in a peculiar-felling Inn.

Other:
-Blind, but manages well thanks to her other heightened sense.

Name ideas:
Siena
Gauntlet

hot headed girl who has super strength and uses gauntlets and a form of kick boxing/some other martial arts in battle. kind of dumb but selfless and cheerful.

Powers and Skills:
Super Strength: Users have incredible ability to defy weight limitations of the member of their race, but not completely break them. Dense, lengthy, or overweight items are easy to move and simple to use in nearly any manner. She normally uses this power to lift and use her gauntlets effectively. Downsides: She's slow, reckless, and relies a bit too much on muscles over brains.

Kickboxing: Pretty simple, she is skilled in kickboxing and because of this her hits are on point and painful. Downsides: Bad at grappling.

Gauntlets: Huge, thick metal gauntlets are her weapon of choice. They are incredibly heavy and only someone as strong as this character can lift them and use them effectively. Downsides: Super destructive like holy crap calm down.

For: RWBY: Another Time

Names:
Yu Wūyā

Species:
Crow Faunus

Age:
Eighteen

Aura Colour: Fuchsia
Semblance: Clear Mind - Yu has the ability to keep calm and clever in the midst of battle. The color of her aura helps mostly with this, since it is one of universal harmony-inducing and emotionally balanced colors. This semblance is spiritual yet practical, encouraging common sense and a balanced outlook during fights. This ability protects Yu from most mental allaiments, and things such as fear or pain can be ignored (if only slightly). It also helps Yu develop plans quicker, notice and dodge attacks faster, and enhances her ability to see tinier details. Yu is attempting to train this skill so that it can effect others beside herself. Currently, when the ability is being used, a faint fuchsia light outlines Yu's body, and her eyes gain a purplish tint.

Weapon: Steel Feather - A sectioned sword that also doubles as a whip. The sword itself is made up of numerous smaller double edged blades interlocking with each other to form one solid blade. When a trigger in the handle is pressed the blade segments release and shoot forward creating a twenty foot bladed whip held together with flexible steel cording. The only part that does not come loose is the first blade connected to the hilt which doubles as a bladed hand guard. Can also rejoin the other blades if the trigger is pressed again.

Dust: Rarely uses Dust, as she finds it to be rather troublesome to handle. There is a compartment for storing it in her weapon though; an empty-looking jewel in the hilt of the Steel Feather. Yu is currently trying to learn more about Dust, as she wishes to use it effectively one day.

Other Equipment:
• Feather Cloak- A cloak crafted of shimmering, ink-black feathers that might have belonged to a Nevermore. It is the only keepsake she received/stole from her mother. Acts as some of her only armor. Normally wears it during missions, stating that she finds comfort in the object.

• Pouches- Small, leather, colorfully dyed pouches that attach to her belt. Most are empty, but others are used to hold things like snacks, money, and whatever else Yu happens to bring along.

• Black Scarf- A scarf that is either seen tied around her neck or her upper arm. Brought along mostly because Yu does still feel anxiety in crowded places, and if she is feeling extra uncomfortable the scarf is used to hide her Faunus features.

• Pistol Dagger- A "just-in-case" weapon, the dagger is rather small and ordinary looking, not sharp enough to do any real damage to a Grimm, but it has the ability to flip over into a small pistol. Again, it does not have the ability to do any real damage to anything bigger then a human, and Yu just hangs onto it for a worse case scenario.

• Skills & Abilities: Yu is calm and collected in battle, giving her the ability to easily think before acting upon her plans. Her clever, quick thinking mind is good for tight situations, and she often likes to develop plans before running headlong into battle. Because of her light-boned body, Yu is very quick, and relies more on speed rather then strength in battle. The crow Faunus is also able to control herself rather well in the air, but is not immune to fall damage, and is even prone to easily broken bones. She has good reflexes, and is almost always aware of her surroundings after only one look-around. A rather good acrobat, Yu enjoys flipping and staying light on her feet, and feels more in control when she is on the move. Yu relies mostly on her ability to handle her weapon well. She is good at hacking and slashing, and tries her best to keep a distance from her opponent by constantly spinning her whip around in a defensive stance. When in a pinch Yu will turn to dirtier tricks, like throwing dirt or perhaps forming fake deals with her more "humane" opponents.

Description: Standing at over five feet eight inches, Yu is a lean, well-built, and intimidating with her strangely tall ways. She is fairly pretty, with an angular face, narrow, red eyes, and long black hair that is tied back in a loose ponytail. A cluster of crow feathers are attached to her neck, and seem to be stimulated by emotions (i.e. if Yu is upset or threatened the feathers will ruffle). Despite her tallness, Yu is surprisingly light, a possible side effect from her Faunus nature, and because of this lightness she is very quick. However, this makes her body rather weak, and she has trouble wielding heavier weapons and doing anything that involves strength in general. Because of her lighter bones, she is easily injured, and prone to breaking. Normally wears a red outfit that reveals her midriff, which is tattooed with a red symbol, along with black stockings and combat boots. If out in public, Yu will dawn a black scarf to hide her feathers, mostly due to the trauma of her childhood. When using her aura, her eyes gain a purplish tint.

Personality: Yu is a sly character, with a bad attitude and an annoying personality. She finds enjoyment in playfully teasing the other students at Beacon, and often likes to think up little pranks to pull. Mimicry is her favorite hobby, and Yu shows it off by copying people to see their reaction. However, because of these annoying habits she lacks many true friends, and this has caused her to be rather cold to others. She easily ignores unwanted attention, and will often spout a few sassy remarks here and there if she is feeling especially agitated. Bullies often discriminated her for her feathers, but she has since learned to ignore their harsh words. Yu rarely lets her emotions get the best of her, and seems rather distant to those who have actually tried to get closer to her. Her ideology is that: "Emotions cloud judgement, it's best to keep a clear head, especially in a difficult situation." And it seems to do her well. Appears to be rather knowledgeable on the Grimm, and has a strange fascination of the creatures. Despite her cleverness, Yu actually has a bit of trouble in classes because of her inability to stay cooped up in a room for too long, and easily loses focus in the classroom.

Her cunning nature is used mostly to trick others, often fooling students into giving her money or any other object she finds pleasing to look at (normally uses rigged betting games to get these items). Yu does realize she is in the wrong, but for some reason finds it fun to trick so many people, and despite often being found out by teachers and being scolded she still goes back to tricking. Like it's a bad habit. Though she does have a sly, distant personality, Yu is surprisingly protective of anyone in need. She will stand up for them, defend them, and fight for them when needed. This motherly side was probably due to having to raise her younger brother, and to be honest, Yu feels pleasure in having been of help to someone. If one were to befriend her they might discover that Yu will lay off on the rougher teasing, but she will still have trouble opening up because of her distant nature. Somewhat anxious in crowds, especially in cities, and hates being touched without permission.

History: Yu was bore by a Faunus mother, into a small family that consisted of her father, her mother, and Yu herself. The family of crow Faunus spent most of their time learning from books, working odd jobs, and training their bodies and minds. Her mother was very keen on getting Yu to become a Huntress, as a means to protect her child and to protect herself. Her father, on the other hand, was more then ready to have Yu join the one of the few Faunus rights organizations. Fights were a constant, and all the while Yu was slowly honing her mind and body as her parents both wished. And then came the days when her parents would go off on "missions" as they explained and return with more injuries then they would receive fighting off Grimm. Their arguments eventually began to simmer down, and her mother even agreed to having Yu join the one of the many cults, but the young girl had already decided on becoming a Huntress while her folks were away. Yu found power in the feats of Hunters, and she wanted just that, power and strength and courage. She wouldn't tell them, though, in fear of getting back-lash from the two.

All throughout her life, Yu experienced many things any Faunus would experience during their days. Bullying, discrimination, and with each coming hour the attacks only grew in size. There were times where the neighborhood kids would take turns plucking the feathers from her neck, and it would hurt so much that Yu would run home afterwards in tears. This continued until Yu finally ceased carrying, and grew withdrawn and cold to the world. She felt weak and hated, until the day her baby brother was born. Again, he was a crow Faunus, and received the name Sora. Sora was much weaker then Yu, a helpless child in a sea of relentless attackers, and seeing this brother of her's inspired Yu to become stronger. Her parents, again, were so busy with their jobs that Yu was put in charge of her brother, and she slowly self taught herself to cook and care for the child, and she also began to train more. These skilled helped her unlock her Sembalance early on in life, much to her parents' joy. Life became livable again.

Until the day her father didn't come home.

Her mother stopped going on missions, and instead gained a habit of staring out the bedroom window, when she wasn't working her ass off at a Dust factory. Yu, now sixteen, was still in charge of caring for Sora, but her dreams were else where. She wished to forge her weapon at Signal and train her skills even more, but now she was stuck caring for a broken family. Again, Yu was stuck in a rut, stuck trying to keep her brother from getting hurt, stuck trying to get her mother to eat and speak and breath, stuck in a town that hated her. And then, after countless days of speaking and wishing for her mother to just talk to her again, the woman finally stood and stared at her daughter.

"Leave us behind, Yu." She yelled, "leave behind your kid brother and your broken mother. Go do as you wish." And Yu, finally fed up with everyone and everything, took her mother's words to heart and left. She would become a Huntress, no matter what.

Other: Despite having very good eyesight in the day, Yu does not possess night vision, and even has more trouble fighting in the dark. Yu is also very interested in shiny things, and has a collection of old trinkets and missing coins in a box in her room.

16
Race:
Half-Demon
Height; Weight:
4'9ft; 117lbs

Primary:
Medic
Secondary:
Exorcist

Strengths:
+ Incredibly Smart
+ Stubborn
+ Calm
+ Perceptive
+ Resourceful
+ Wise
+ Independent
+ Selfless

Weaknesses:
- Stubborn
- Distant
- Socially Awkward
- Rude
- Apathetic
- Weak
- Cynical
- Self-loathing
- Fears Failure
- Fears Abandonment
- Fears Storms

Physical Capabilities:
While Ase isn't the most physically adept party member, she is definitely one of the smartest. Her brain and eyes are monsters, as she has the ability to pin-point on even the most minor of details in the midst of a stressful situation with only one glance, and from that glance she has opened up countless situation-based plans to be shared with the group. She is, however, very weak and slow. Ase's eye sight, hearing, and sense of smell is much more sensitive then a human's, and because of this she is well aware of her surroundings most of the time. Ase's pain tolerance is also surprisngly high, and she is able to take quite a few hits if needed. Her energy is also stronger then most, as it currently is being trained to be so by wielding Patron, and it takes the weapon (or anything that drains energy) a bit longer to sap it all away.

Background Info:
Belladonna, a name that spells danger. Not only does it belong to one of the most toxic plants on the planet, but it also happens to be the surname to a very prestigious and dangerous family of exorcists. The heads of the family were as strong as they come, two "lovers" who were nearly undefeated in their line of work. They were childless, rich, and nothing more. Enter a particularly persistent demon named Ada. He was quite interested in Cass, the wife of the head of the Belladonna family, and she would be lying if she said he didn't interest her as well. Ada was a different demon from what she usually fought, he was kind and strangely civil. He seemed to honestly like her, unlike the emotionless Daire who seemed to be only interested in working. They began to meet up behind Cass's husband's back, falling deeper and deeper in love.

A few weeks after one of their "meet ups", Cass was working a mission with Daire when she suddenly collapsed. Concerned and confused, her husband quickly let his prey escape to check on his wife, who cried out against sudden stomach cramps. A hospital trip and test later revealed to the two that Cass was currently pregnant, and Daire was obviously angered by this. He knew it wasn't his child, he knew because they hadn't attempted to produce offspring for over a year, and with sudden rage he interrogated his wife, forcing her to spill about her entire affair with Ada, including where they meet up and when. Needless to say, Daire went in place of Cass to the rendezvous to confront the demon, but it seemed Ada had been expecting him anyway. They conversed, civilly, and Ada introduced himself as an incubus. He explained that he was only using Cass to father his child, and in a fit of sudden rage Daire sprung forward to attack but only caught air. Ada had vanished, and he was never seen or heard from again.

Cass grew progressively weaker and sicker as the pregnancy went on, an obvious side effect from mating with a incubus, and by the finals months she was entirely bed-stricken, too weak to walk. The child was born in a mess of blood and shrieks, and as soon as she opened her mouth to cry out as well all of the house's servants in the room saw it and drew back in disgust. A tail whipped from the base of her back, small and pointed. She was a devil.

The child was named Ase, and she was raised by her mother's main maid, a woman named Rose, simply because her mother no longer had the strength to even walk on her own. Daire was extremely hard on her, from school to training, he drilled her like a sergeant. At no moment was he a father to her. Cass simply ignored her, and most of the servants were frightened by her tail, meaning Rose was her only source of comfort. The maid taught her many things about first aid and Pagan-style magic, and Ase found herself being taught many, many things. Over the course of her lessons, Ase discovered that she was very gifted with passive magic, and it became very well known around the house when she suddenly tried to heal her mother (though she was denied even being able to touch the woman).

Eventually, Ase was enrolled in the DHA by her father, as a way for her to hone her skills even more and stay away from the family.

Other:
• Is really self-conscious of her tail. Like, really self-conscious, to the point of having anxiety attacks if someone were to see it.

• Her tail is also very sensitive, and if touched even briefly she becomes extremely dizzy and uncomfortable. It takes a few minutes to recover.

• Is effected by holy water and other Christian exorcist tools, which is why she uses Pagan and Wiccan-based magic in her exorcisms.

• Medic Details

Type:
A mixture of mainly magic and a bit of herbal first aid.

Detail:
When using the magic aspect of her abilities, Ase can manipulate a (willing) person's energy to focus on and help heal minor wounds, though this ability can be incredibly painful to the patient, since it feels like your flesh is being burned shut. She also uses whatever herbs and first aid equipment are available to give the patient a more comfortable experience.

Healing Capabilities:
10/100 (though it all depends on the wounds and how much energy Ase would have to use)
Tool(s):
Patron, herbs, and whatever else can be found or brought along.
Exorcist Details

Type:
Ase mainly uses Pagan and Wiccan-based magic.

Detail:
With the help of Patron, Ase can summon or draw small, easily-broken magic circles that can harm and trap lesser demons. She also has plenty of chants (most still need to be memorized), cleansed stones, and herbs. One particular tool Ase likes to use is a mixture of chamomile, frankincense, horehound, lavender, and water which can be splashed about as a form of weak holy water.

Defensive Capabilities:
3/100 (on a good day)
Weapon:
Patron
A rowan-wood staff. The rod itself sounds hollow and is filled with countless herbs and flowers and roots, as well as a bit of Ase's blood, that have magical properties, and a magic circle is carved into the base. In the hook of the staff is a polished amber stone which glows brightly and gives off a pleasing aroma when in use. Patron was crafted by Ase.

Weapon Detail:
Patron, as the name reveals, is normally used as protection. Ase crafted it with rowan and amber for their magical properties that enhances protection against most spells and the ability to help heal both physical and mental wounds. It produces shields using the user's energy, assists Ase when she's dealing with deeper, more difficult demon-inflicted wounds, and helps with keeping calm in the midst of a stressful situation. The staff itself is incredibly sturdy and, thanks to being infused with some kinds of magic, will not break easily. Patron can also summon small magic circles when the bottom of the staff is dug into the ground. The main downside of this staff is that it is a major energy sapper, and relies mostly on the energy of the user to work fully. Other downsides include: Being really, really hot when used to make shields, and sometimes taking more energy than needed. If Ase is incredibly mad or upset or if her soul is incredibly fired up, the staff has a possibility of bursting into flames.
Soul Weapon

Effect:
Ase's soul, while bright and large, only allows her to heal others. If someone with a bad injury needs to be healed, Ase's soul can be used to numb, clean, and, if she has lasted long enough, close the wound. Since this is incredibly taxing, though, Ase doesn't rely on it too often. Her ability to control (term used lightly) someone else's energy to heal them can probably be derived from her soul weapon. Is currently attempting to train her endurance using Patron.
Endurance:
One to three minutes, depending on how deep or large the wound is.

Name:
Violet or Vi (Unable to remember her real name)
Age:
15
Gender:
Female

Appearance:

Violet is an extremely short, light girl, standing at about 5'2ft and weighing only 105lbs. She's of obvious Asian decent as evident from her narrow eyes, tan skin, and glossy, black, cropped-short hair. She has a round face, doll lips, a small nose, and two different colored eyes (one is brown and the other is tainted by the substance on her arms and face, turning it purple). Her hands and feet are very dainty, as is the rest of her body, and she walks with a sort of childlike grace that could only be obtained from the daughter of a rich family. Vi is rather shapeless, still yet to mature, and because of this she is much more quick than strong. She relies on her small and fast body to stay light on her feet and evasive in times of crisis. Most of her body is covered in a sticky, purple substance which doubles as her power. It was, apparently, worse in the past, but has since managed to simmer down to only decorate her arms and face in swirls of purple. Both her normal outfit and battle outfit are a short sleeved, bright red and gold cheongsam shirt, matching red flowers in her hair, baggy, cream colored sweatpants that tighten at her calves, and red, silken slip-on shoes.

Skills:
• Baguazhang Martial Arts: Only knows the basics. A martial arts that uses quick yet weak (in her case) jabs and evasive maneuvers. Vi uses this skill in fights often, especially when conjuring up projectiles.

• Music: Violet is a surprisingly gifted musician, and can play plenty of songs with her six-hole ocarina or hand-crafted, wooden flute.

• Origami: Paper airplanes, paper flowers, paper cranes, paper anything! If you give her a big enough sheet and a nice enough idea Vi will try her best to recreate it in paper.

• Powers:
• Taint: The purple that stains her body can be used as small projectiles and tentacle-like whips. Touching it would feel like touching acid or a hot flame. Despite having had this power for most of her remembered life, Vi does loose control of it easily. Also, if it is used too much it begins to spread, both over her body and wherever she happens to be standing, and if someone (friend or foe) were to touch her arms or face without protection they would be burned.

• Personality:
Despite not remembering anything of her past up to the age of thirteen and despite often being ridiculed for her strangely purple ways, Vi isn't a brooding sort. In fact, she is surprisingly sweet and childish, often smiling in any situation and remaining lighthearted even if she isn't meant to. She can be a bit too childish at times, though, as she often pulls pranks on her teammates or becomes a bit selfish and ornery for dumb reasons. However, Violet does know when a fight is a fight, and can become serious if she really needs to, though a serious Vi is a Vi that easily looses control. She can be surprisingly perceptive, though she usually isn't the brightest around. Violet can also be overprotective of her teammates at times, but still likes to bother them herself as her ideology for that is:

"Only I'M allowed to bug these morons!"

Vi, though she appears innocent most of the time, could be considered a pathological liar, and often lies to get out of awkward situations or take things that are not her's despite knowing it's wrong. Despite that, she has a strong sense of justice and tries her best to do the right thing, even though she is easily tempted. Other than that, Violet is a girl who enjoys video games, music, and flowers. She can have a bit of a temper but is easy to calm if given sweets or something enjoyable to do. There are days when she can be quiet and cryptic (this usually happens when the Taint begins to "ache") but she usually spends them alone, in her room.

Backstory:
Violet doesn't remember anything of her past before the age of thirteen, so it shall be revealed in the game. Here's a hint though.

"Come near me and I'll beat the shit outta ya!"

Name:
Erin Keller
Age:
19
Gender:
Female
Height; Weight:
5'3; 93lbs

Years in Blackwing:
Two
Apartment Number:
2F

Odd Trait:
- Afraid of men
- Recluse
- Amputee (leg/eye)

Physical Descriptions:
Erin is missing a leg and an eye, enough said. Though she does have a scrawny body type and a rather strange hairstyle, it's obvious that those around her would be drawn to the fact that she is missing a few body parts. Other than her deformities, though, Erin could be considered a nice-looking woman, with a round face, small nose and mouth, large, blue eyes, and bleached hair that has a strip of black running through it. She's rather pale, mostly because her skin barely sees the outside light, and is underweight from barely eating. Her hands are elegant and calloused from writing and typing for most of her life, and despite walking about with a crutch she carries around an air of richness that could not have been discarded once she moved away from her overbearing family. She is missing her left leg and right eye from a horrible car accident that occurred when she was still in middle school, and normally hides these deformities with an eye patch and bandages. Has an array of other scars and cuts on her torso and arms, but they are mostly healed. Her outfits of choice are almost always black or gray, and she especially loves crop tops and dresses.

Background Info:
The daughter of a rich and large family, Erin was raised and spoiled as much as the next wealthy kid. She spent her younger days writing and messing around with her father's technology, and was often scolded for doing so. Despite that, she was a surprisingly smart individual, and did well in her classes at school. English and writing were her strong points, while she didn't do so well in the sciences and math portions. She was still praised by her family though, which only helped to inflate her ego a bit (and her collection of stuffed animals and pets). Elementary school blew passed like a breeze, and Erin was happy with a life full of family, friends, and smarts.

Her fear of men was conceived at the age of ten, when her father began to realize that his little girl would be taken from him soon if she were to fall in love with another man. Mr. Keller began to tell her horror stories about men, showing her horrible clips of men, just doing anything to turn his little girl away from the idea of dating another male. It began to backfire, though, when Erin began to grow so scared of men that she would actually run and hide or attack them if one were to get too close. Her father was no exception. The fear could now grow by itself, and with each passing glance at a man it would inflate more and more until Erin couldn't even stand living in the same household as one. She was transferred to an all-girls school, and her father and any male workers or family members were to stay far, far away from her room.

One day after school, during a rather... Calm spell, as Erin would put it, the family had decided to send Erin's father to pick her up from classes. When she entered the car and saw him in the driver seat, though, she emitted an ear-splitting scream and fell back into the street. Fear kept her moving, but not fast enough, as she was struck suddenly with a speeding van. Her leg was crushed, and the debris formed by skidding wheels dug deeply into her right eye, scarring the flesh. The next year was spent in a hospital and rehabilitation center. Her leg and eye had been much too damaged to repair, so they were simply amputated, and Erin had to grow used to not having a leg. By the age of fourteen she was fully prepared to return outside, but her entire attitude had changed. She was much more crass and abrasive, and her fear of men had been somewhat handled with a therapist (but not really).

She went through high school with her head lowered, she lost interest in friends and everything social, and grew much more anxious in crowds, feeling as though everyone would stare at her deformities. She dropped out at the age of seventeen, feeling the pressure was just too much to handle, and Erin became a recluse, staying in her room for most of her days until she was finally kicked out and sent to live by herself in an apartment complex called Blackwing. Her family still sent her money, but only enough for food for the month. Her rent was paid for by her short novels, which she had began to write at the age of seventeen. While she still isn't comfortable around the men of the apartments, Erin is rather curious about the tenants, and will observe them at times by hanging out in the lobby.

Things to Know:
Keller Corp: A company run by Robert and Marie Keller, Erin's parents. Focuses mostly in the electronics industry and have created a variety of tablets, smartphones, and other helpful gadgets. Erin used to be praised just because of her last name by strangers, though it hasn't happened as often anymore.

Androphobia: The fear of men, given to Erin by her overbearing father. While she used to just run from men who got too close in the past, now adays she is much more ready to beat them to a pulp, even if she doesn't mean it. She can now stand to be in the same room as a man, but will not take lightly if they get in range of her crutches. Currently trying to snap herself outta the fear.

Amputation: Erin was given the choice of receiving a prosthetic but refused during an awful fit and was never given another chance. She is rather good at hopping around on one leg but finds it much less awkward to just use crutches. Her eye is normally closed, even without the eye patch, because the carnage underneath is a bit gruesome even now.

Kyle Eckleburg: Erin's pen name, used to write her popular action-fantasy novellas. Is somewhat afraid of her own alias.

Other:
- Smokes, at least half a pack a day now.
- Obsessed with cats.
- Has written three short, relatively popular novels. Is currently writing her first full length book.

Years in Blackwing:
Four
Apartment Number:
1F

Room Description:
Cody's bedroom (which is the smaller of the two) is tidy and well-kept, save for all the dust and candles everywhere. His living room would probably look something like this, just include a crystal ball, a ratty-looking couch and a somewhat impressive TV + stereo system. His kitchen is full of labeled jars full of herbs and more candles, and the bathroom always smells like flowers or spices.

Odd Trait:
- Witch
- Self-proclaimed medium
- Self-proclaimed fortune teller

Physical Descriptions:
Cody is tall, there's no denying that. He is tall and intimidating, with narrow eyes, an almost always frowning lip, heavily pierced ears, and wild, long hair. His skin is dark, his eyes are brown, and his hair is near-black and dreaded. Despite looking like a wildman, though, Cody is actually quite well-mannered and clean, often wearing rather buisness-y outfits when going out and about because he likes to look professional. He is extremely well built from his healthy eating and constant exercise. Has an interesting scar on his back, gained from a childhood accident, and an array of cuts on his hands from certain spells.

Background Info:
SUMMARY:
Born into a Wiccan family, grows up, moves out and continued their witchy ways. Works as a chef in a restaurant not too far away from the apartments. Found Lucy alone one day and ends up adopting her.

One
Apartment Number:
1F

Room Description:
Lucy was given the second bedroom by request, and she hasn't done much to it beside destroy it. Toys, art work, and books are strewn everywhere, and her futon is always out and never fixed, despite being somewhat tangled with itself. Despite Cody offering to help her clean she never does get to work, and in the end it just remains a big, awful mess.

Odd Trait:
- Runaway
- Acts like a princess

Physical Descriptions:
Lucy is a short, pretty young girl. Her skin is fair, easily tanned, and she has a rather scrawny body type, with a thing torso, arms, and legs. Her hair is brown and reaches down to her mid-back, while her eyes are red in color. She is almost always pouting, and only looks truly happy when she is around Cody or playing with her dolls. Loves to wear frilly dresses and skirts, and often skips around the apartments with her more expensive outfits, pretending to be a princess or fairy. Has a strange, small scar on her cheek, and while she claims to have gotten it from tumbling down a hill one time, it is actually the only remaining memory of her horrid parents.

Background Info:
SUMMARY:
Spoiled rotten by her parents (still called Lucifer at this point), but doesn't appreciate how they never get her girly things. Says she wants to be a girl from now on, father really dislikes this idea and tries to beat sense into her. Lucy then runs away and meets Cody, who takes her in (and spoils her more)

"Think I care?"

NAME:
Chris Richards

AGE:
20

APPEARANCE:
Chris is a massive party animal, and there have been plenty of rumors about her spreading about the campus, so her face is pretty well known. Standing at about five-eight feet and weighing an underweight one hundred pounds, Chris is slim, tall, and knows how to show it off. Despite using she/her pronouns, Chris is gender-fluid, and this is shown off through her varying outfits, use of makeup, and vanishing curves. Her face is angular, with lush lips, a narrow nose, and large blue eyes, which contrast well with her short, black-dyed hair. She has a very athletic build, with fair, easily tanned skin and many bruises and blemishes from drunk adventures and childhood mishaps. Her arms, back, and torso are covered with many colorful tattoos, most referencing very old, nerdy TV shows and bands. Normally binds her breasts despite having very little curves.

Band shirts, sweatpants, skinny jeans, and loose tank tops fill her closet, and there are very few dresses and skirts. To more formal events she dawns dress shirts and sweater-vests, and thanks to her growing interest in fashion she always matches. When not prancing off to a party or lurking around the mall with friends she dresses like a slob, throwing on willy-nilly as an attempt to stay out of the nude. Normally wears contacts, and at night can be seen wearing very round glasses.

PERSONALITY:
While on the surface Chris appears sweet and friendly, often coming up to strangers with a wide smile and friendly tips, she is far from kind. With a biting wit, a sailor's mouth, and devilish eyes, Chris is most likely approaching you with some kind of prank in mind. Rather mischievous and childish, Chris often pulls practical jokes towards those she deems worthy, and despite always getting caught she just can't stop making them, finding that even mundane attacks to be hilarious in some manner. Despite being somewhat of a social butterfly, Chris has few close friends, finding that her mind simply has problems trusting people easily. Due to her cynical mindset, after her initial friendly greeting she will slowly grow more and more abrasive the longer the conversation goes on. This untrustworthy attitude only fades completely when she's drunk, and thanks to her party-obsessed body Chris is almost always drunk by the end of the night. To those she is friends with, Chris is ridiculously loyal, and will stop at nothing to protect them.

A Fine Arts student, Chris has a very vivid imagination, which is evident in most of her more fantastical pieces. Despite being very invested in her school work, Chris is far from smart, and relies more on her keen eyes rather than her brain in classroom environments and stressful situations. Even though she is book dumb, Chris is far from idiotic, and has the ability to tell right from wrong and notice small details if needed. She is also very street smart thanks to growing up in New York City. Open-minded, Chris is always open to ideas and questions, and has many political views despite hating politics to death.

Thanks to growing up in a rough neighborhood, Chris had once taken part in many fist fights and verbal arguments, and though she rarely has the need to now a days she always remembers her father's fighting advice. With her strong eyes and sharp tongue, it doesn't seem as though Chris would crack under pressure, though that assumption is very wrong. If too much stress is put on the skinny lad's shoulders she will easily snap and end up curled up in a shaking ball. Hiding her fears is something Chris does very well, so when she finally lets everything spill out it is nearly unbearable. To keep situations lighthearted and not worrying, Chris cracks jokes, most being particularly dirty, and tries her best to keep everyone smiling. Her pseudo-optimistic attitude is only rivaled by her cynical feelings towards most people. Has a very crass way of speaking, and despite being kind of bitchy to those she had met a few times already, Chris tries to act as kind as her mind will allow.

Interested in many indie bands and older cartoons, as proven by her painted arms and many graphic tees. Hates to read, yet is somewhat interested in comic books and children books due to the art, and has something against modern day sitcoms and dramas. Will almost always have paint on her somewhere.

STATEMENT:
- Relationship - 1) "I had met her at a party once, and hoooly shi- cow was she drunk! Or maybe it was just me... Anyway, we chatted for a bit, and that was my first and last time meeting face-to-face with her."

- Alibi - 2) "I was chilling in my dorm with a friend, stayed there till about nine before we headed out to a party just a block away from the campus. We were no where near the crime scene."

- Motive - 3) "Sir, why should I kill some chick I've barely even said hello to?"

Name:
Wisteria Adams
Alias:
Owlet
Age:
18
Sponsor:
Black Canary

Personality:
- Noble
- Sweet
- Fiery

Powers:
• Genius Intellect:

• Having had a well-off parent, Wisteria had been enrolled in whatever prestigious school had been in the area at the time. Her mind is very analytical, and she is said to see everything as some sort of piece to a formula, making it relatively simple for her to come up with plans. Also somewhat skilled as a detective. She is knowledgeable in most mathematics and the sciences, including Biology, Physics, Advanced Chemistry, Geography, Technology, and Engineering. Currently studying Criminal Science, Forensic Sciences, Computer Sciences, and History/Mythology, her main focus is to up her hacking skills, which are lack luster at the moment.

• Stealth:

• Having always been one who steps lightly, stealth was a skill Wisteria picked up from years of lurking around Gotham. After receiving proper training she is able to sneak into well-secured facilities with relative ease. Always seems to move without sound, even when not in a hostile environment, and because of this she has accidentally surprised many of her friends or teammates.

• Peak Human Conditioning:

• - Peak Human Reflexes: Perceptive, Wisteria is always prepared for an attack from behind, though she isn't skilled enough to dodge bullets or other quick-moving projectiles.

- Peak Human Agility: Trained in parkour and acrobatics, Wisteria is nimble and light on her feet and able to leap across rooftops with ease.

- Peak Human Speed: Her most important and best skill, Wisteria is faster than most human athletes. Every single stride she takes is put to use, and it is especially notable in fights when she can dodge even the quickest punches easily.

• Martial Arts:

• Trained in Jujitsu, Boxing, Dim Mak, Judo, Dragon Style Kung Fu, Iaido, Aikido, and Tae Kwon Do. She is a near master at master at Kung Fu, Iaido, and Jujitsu. Relies mostly on her speed and her own ability to take another's weight and turn it against them in a fight. Her main weapon, the Jōhyō, is often implemented in most of her fights, mostly acting as a tool to reach enemies from a longer distance.

• Gadgets:

• - Jōhyō
- Throwing Knives (fashioned to look like feathers)
- Explosive Throwing Knives
- Smoke Pellets
- Gas Pellets
- Stun Pellets
- Grappling Hook
- Flash Light(s)
- Mini Explosives
- Lock Pick Kit
- Stunning Toxins (liquid)
- Hardware Tools
- Small Snacks

Works in Progress:
- Crafting her own grenades similar to the Canary Cry Bombs used by Black Canary when she was once powerless.
- A tracker to keep a close eye on both allies and foes if needed.
- Looking into a way to electrify her weapons.

Weaknesses:
- Having no powers at all, Wisteria is prone to injuries, some more fatal than others, and is weak to all things that can harm a human.
- Relies more on her speed, making her weaker than most superheros. Currently attempting to train both her strength and endurance.
- Lacks proper defense; her only shield is the mass of feathers on her costume.
- Bad endurance; must eat and rest constantly to stay up and about.

Appearance:
Costume
Wisteria is a girl of average beauty, average height, and average appearance. She stands at about 5'6, weighing a somewhat underweight 120lbs, and has an over all athletic build. Her hair is somewhat long, reaching down passed her shoulders, and is blonde in color and rather easy to manage. She has an angular face, with fair skin, lush lips, a sharp nose, and large, gray/blue eyes. Despite being a full grown woman, she does not have much to offer in the curves department, and could easily pass as a male if she were to just put her hair up and block out her face.

Doesn't care much for makeup or dressing up, and can be found wandering around in sweats and tank tops when not on a mission. She has a strange interest in a particularly puffy-sleeved crop-top sweat jacket. Her costume consists of flexible material, with her only defense being the feathers on her back which can withstand most weapons, that is patterned and colored to resemble a tawny owl. She wears a cowl to hide her identity which also doubles as night vision goggles and a gas mask, and her gloves are equipped with retractable claws that are used for clinging to walls and scratching if necessary. She can’t fly, but the feathers on her back double as a glider for a just-in-case situation. Her utility belt is normally covered with knife slots and pouches, most filled with items like smoke pellets and anything else required for missions.

BRIEF Bio:
Born in New York and raised in Gotham, Wisteria grew up knowing that the world is full of dangers. Her mother, a supposedly widowed business woman, often warned her to stay away from most people, telling her stories of all the crime that run a muck in the darkness of the deadly streets, and Wisteria took all the stories and advice to heart. She grew up to be somewhat reserved and cynical, and if not for the sudden disappearance of her mother on her tenth birthday she might have remained that way for the rest of her life. Case after case looked for Ms. Adams, but every time they ended without even a single clue. Days, weeks, months went by, and every single time someone grew just a step closer to finding the woman, it all ended suddenly for an untold reason. Wisteria, finally fed up, began looking into the case herself.

Lurking around Gotham gave her a few leads on various criminals, but nothing about her mother. Trying to force information out of the tougher crowd would have been impossible for the now eleven year old, so she turned to training. Both her mind and her body were pushed to the limit, so much so that when she attempted to chase down a suspicious fella who was reportedly involved in many missing peoples cases Wisteria collapsed from sheer exhaustion. Three years of training left her body at near-death, bruised and battered,, and if not for a visiting Black Canary she wouldn't have made it through the night.

After resting and discussing her need to grow stronger the Canary took Wisteria under her wing. They traveled back to the Canary's home and began a healthier, yet tougher training regiment, and after a few years of intense physical and mental training Owlet was born.

Notes:
- Black Canary saw a weak, genius girl that night. Someone who could becomes stronger and smarter, just with the right help. So, naturally, she decided to mentor the girl.

- Wrote Wisteria to this song, so I guess this could be considered her theme.

- Hates her name, and hates any nicknames that can be derived from her name.

- Her mother is still missing, and she is still somewhat interested in her case.

- Her odd fascination with owls was born from watching one stalk and kill pray one dreary night camping.

For: Before RvB there was; Project Freelancer

Full Name:
Chris Valentine
Code Name:
Louisiana
Gender:
Female
Age:
26

Implanted A.I.:
Armour Ability:
Hologram
Appearance:
Small, thin, and weak-looking, it would be an obvious reaction to giggle at this Freelancer's appearance, though one should not judge a book by its cover. Underneath her helmet she is round faced and stoic, with short blonde hair, gray eyes, and thin lips. Her armor is thinner then most, though a bit heavier as well due to her interest in a thicker defense, and is gray and blue in color. When out of her gear, she dresses as plainly as possible, and almost always has a cig on hand.

Personality:
Cold, cynical, and quiet, it's obvious that Chris isn't much of a people's person. Growing up in a rather unhealthy environment is probably the cause for her distrustful nature, so one should make sure not to take any glares or harsh insults to heart. Despite her ruthless tongue, she can be rather decent person, often giving advice too closer friends, and can possibly crack a snide joke here and there if inspired. A solider who is very wrapped up in her training, Chris can almost always be found sparring, studying, or even just exercising when not on a mission.

Thanks to her past aspiration of being a medic, she is surprisingly well versed in pressure points, human weaknesses, medicines, and medical treatments, though she rarely has time to show off these skills. Ambitious, Chris always likes to try her best, even if she ends up burning out in the end. Her "try hard and anything can happen" ideals are often brought up when one looks upon her constant overexertion and need to succeed. When she doesn't win, or when she doesn't excel in something, she can become a bit depressed, losing all motivation for a few days until she can kick start herself once more.

Smart, Chris realizes her own strengths and weaknesses, and while she is a failure at using tech she does realize that her words can get the point across. She can easily play a female fatale if not for all that armor. Other than speech, she excels in knowing all about the human body, and she uses this knowledge much in close combat battles. Chris can also think rather well on her feet, though likes to follow a set plan more often than not. Normally cool-headed in tense situations, she always thinks before acting, and keeps light on her feet. However, her constant stubborn and cynical nature can make her rather hardheaded, and she can sometimes go over board and become reckless if agitated too much.

History:
Chris Valentine was brought into a shitty world. Nothing more to say. A poor family's daughter, she constantly fought to stay above others, constantly fought with her shitty, angry father, and constantly fought for her wants and rights. She was initially inspired to excel in the sciences by army medics, who always fought for others and strive to perfect their art and their abilities, but as she grew up in her lonely, shitty world, Chris began to realize how much she couldn't trust others. She first realized this in her second year of college, in a class full of tired adults and dreary lectures. In front of her was a med-school text book, and beside her was a stranger, and the more she thought about this stranger, helping this stranger, saving thing stranger, talking to this stranger, the more she realized how much she couldn't even imagine saving this man's life.

Chris dropped out of college in her third year, and with nothing left but her knowledge of medicine and somewhat athletic abilities, she joined the military. Her ambition quickly took hold of her life once more, and she once again began to strive for perfection, but this time in fighting and killing and obeying. She trained hard, harder than most, and constantly overworked herself, though even the worst of moments can pay off in the long run. She was drafted into countless missions, sometimes leading, sometimes not, but with anything she did she always tried her hardest, and eventually began to stand out enough to catch someone's eye.

Her ability to plan on the run, kill and stay just one step ahead of others was what got her pulled into Project Freelancer, and, well, the rest is obviously history.

Weapon Loadout:
• Twin M6G Pistols

• MA5K Carbine

• Combat Knife

• x3 Smoke Grenade

• x2 Flash Grenade

• x2 Frag Grenade

• Fighting Style:
Chris, surprisingly, dislikes confrontation when it's not needed. Stealth is one of her better points, as she has always had a rather low presence, and her thin body frame and quiet footsteps make her a natural at slipping passed watchful eyes. However, if the time comes for a battle, she likes to, simply put, play with her enemies. Smoke grenades, flashes, confusing holograms, she throws whatever she can at an attacker to keep them stunned and easy to pick off. Due to her lack of strength, Chris relies much more on her speed and ability to catch and attack weak points to take down opponents, and because of this her forte is close-mid combat. (Great martial artist. Mediocre marksman. Mediocre tank.)

Made as practice. CS template from Walking Dead high casual game which I cannot link now cause mobile crap i really need a zombie game to play uuuuuuGH

A person with a sharp appearance, Jesse is tall, slim, and lanky. His skin is dark, face flecked with freckles, and is shaped more like a stick than a woman or man. They have a thin face, close-cropped black hair, and dull gray eyes which always seem to have a sleepy feel to them. With such a well sculpted face and body, it might be obvious that she has a very natural female fatale air to her. Despite her slender body, she is unfit and surprisingly weak, often needing to have a cool down period after psychical movement. His main advantage is how fast she can run due to hislong legs. Has the West African Adinkra symbol of wisdom tattooed on her right hand. (6'0; 151 lbs)

NAME:
Jesse Wells
AGE:
19
OCCUPATION:
Student; Forensics Major; Part Time Barista; Part Time Daycare Assistant
ETHNICITY:
African-American
PERSONALITY:
Jesse is, more times than not, angry. Just imagine a ball of constant stress and annoyance, put a face on it, and you've got the lovely Jesse Wells. Unlike other people, who might talk about their emotions or cry it out, Jesse remains stoic and unnerved, bottling her emotions until she just explodes one day into a full on rant. He will not show weakness, she will not cry. Jesse has always believed there is weakness in such things, and they were not weak. She was strong, courageous, and stubborn, even if she didn't want to be. Growing up with his younger brother and busy parents, Jesse had to learn to be strong to protect herself and her sibling from the terrors of middle-class America, and from this she has also gained a very protective, maternal personality towards those who she considers friends or family.

When not angry, she can be considerably kind, often clinging close to friends and sharing funny childhood stories to lighten the mood, even if her realist brain thinks its not the right time. He enjoys calculation, and is a rather smart, perceptive cookie, often looking much deeper into things then others would. Her thirst for knowledge has also given her a rather reckless streak, especially when her curiosity gets too strong for her to resist. Other then that, she is ridiculously ambitious and stubborn, and always gives her one hundred and ten percent into whatever she does, and she makes up for her lack of physical health with their mental strength (which is still rather unhealthy due to her constant high stress levels.)

EQUIPMENT:
Satchel filled with:
• Two Bottles of Water (small)

• Forensics and Biology Textbooks

• Three Notebooks

• IPhone Charger

• Pack of Gum (mint)

• General Makeup Items

• IPhone 4S (cracked)

• Wallet ($31.67)

• Other:
• College Sweatshirt

• Working Watch

• WEAPONS:
Being a student, Jess has no access to any firearms or swords, but he does have the taser his lovely (and now deceased) friend Debra gifted her one day after a certain drunk excursion. Jess isn't stupid enough to go and to taze any walkers, though, so they are currently unarmed.

FAMILY:
• Mother: Kimberlyn Wells - Unknown - Last seen/heard at her office in New York City

• Father: Jessan Wells - Unknown - Last seen/heard at his office in New York City

• Brother: Kimbel Wells - Unknown - Last seen/heard on the night before the incident in New York apartment.

• PAST:
• Jesse was born into a middle-class, hard working family on a snowy January night in the restless city of New York. Her life growing up was simple enough; she would play with her dolls while her parents worked, go to school and work twice as hard as any other kid to stay afloat, and constantly question her reason of living and her body. Pretty much normal for a gender-confused child. Once their brother was born, they suddenly found a place in the world, and that was protecting this small bundle of joy. She would defend him in school, breaking up fights with her own fists, and despite her bother's constant annoying teasing, Jesse loved him dearly. Family is extremely important to him.

• In high school, she was confused. Jesse definitely knew that they were not female, even if her body begged to differ, and after a few internet searches she began to realize her own orientation. Agender, or, the lack of gender. Realizing this about himself suddenly made the dysphoria they had felt in her past begin to melt away.

• Jesse was obviously a smart cookie, especially in biology and environmental sciences. He aspired to be a forensics scientist, though, and wished to be of help to people in whatever way they can be. With her impressive grades in the sciences and math, she managed to get into a relatively good college in Atlanta. While leaving her family behind was rather upsetting, they do like their new found freedom.

• She easily befriended her new roommate, Debra Jones, who found it as easy to get used to their lack of gender. College was simple as well, since Jesse was such a try hard when it came to studying.

• He manages to sleep around a bit throughout their time in college, never really can hold down a relationship though. Then again, Jesse seems to believe that dating was a distraction for the bigger picture in life, which would be maintaining a perfect picture as a notable and impressive scientist. Still, sex wasn't a bad thing per say, and it helped with her stress.

• Woke up on the day the world ended believing she was late for a biology quiz.

• OTHER INTERESTING INFORMATION:
• Agender (She/He/They Pronouns)

• Pansexual, hella proud

• Has a Brooklyn accent, though it has begun to simmer down thanks to her moving to Atlanta.

• Kept up with quite a few part time jobs, giving her an array of different, somewhat useless abilities.

• Cannot cook, dance, draw, or sing, but she did take guitar lessons a few years ago.

• WRITING SAMPLE:
It wasn't unnatural for a college student to stay up passed two. With countless papers to write, parties to have, drugs to take, and booze to chug, it would only make sense for all of them to wander the night in a sleepless stupor, or drill away at their dorm desks as music pounds from above or below. Jesse was no exception. She was currently perched on her desk's stool-like chair, toes beating against the shining metal rhythmically as her eyes traced the lines of a large textbook with her only source of light being the neon-pink covered lamp on the right side of her desk.

The rest of the room was pitch black and silent, save for the moments where her roommate, Debra, would shift lazily around in her bed, causing the blankets and sheets to stir in a quick symphony of fabric-on-fabric. Jesse, however, couldn't hear that anyway, as on her head a pair of black and red headphones shielded her ears from any annoyances that could play during the night, instead pumping a familiar band into her brain quietly. Her eyes, which had begun to water and burn from the lack of sleep, continued to read the same stanza of her science textbook over and over again, thin lips pursing and clenching as she read it at least nine times before skipping over to the next paragraph.

"Nine times. Go over something nine times and you'll have it stored in your memory forever."

Her high school English teacher had said this once, many years ago, during one particular lecture on how to study vocabulary and key terms in whatever book they had been discussing. While the class had bored her to near death, Jesse had never really forgotten the older teach's study tips, and each time she got a passing grade on her plentiful tests Jesse would give a silent prayer to the (probably dead) Mrs. Miggs as thanks. A yawn breaks her concentration, and she opens her mouth and lets out a long sigh, raising her arms high to stretch both them and her back out until the buzz of her phone draws her attention to the glowing screen to her left. A few text messages had piled up while she had been lost in a sea of words and knowledge. She scrolled lazily, ignoring the few unnamed messages from a few folks she had probably given numbers to while drunk, instead focusing on one in particular. The most recent one, from her lovely little bro, Kimbel. A smile pierced her chapped lips as she skimmed the message, and then laughter simmered in her throat.

I know your awake Jess! Go the eff to sleep already studying too hard is gonna rot your brain

An array of comical emoticons followed after, and then the message was done. Jesse continued to snort, typing back a quick reply for him to do the same before turning to stare at the curtain-covered window just beyond her desk. The light of the moon and the lamps that lit the campus pathways shimmered through the rims faintly, encouraging Jesse to get up and observe whatever nightlife was wandering below her dorm room. After glancing back and forth between the desk and the window she finally stood, taking the headphones, which were currently playing a live version of S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W, off in one swift motion before tip-toeing over to the window. A finger slipped between the dark fabric, and very slowly she pulled it open, keeping one eye on her roommates bed before finally staring off into the Atlanta night.

The moon was waning beautifully, a crescent line in the blue-black sky that allowed the ample amount of light to shine down on the dew-coated grass below. It was faintly hidden behind the far trees and sky scrapers of the city, and the stars were hiding behind the glow of the nightlife. Below, old, black lamps skipped across the green campus lawn and circled around the limestone path, which was devoid of any moving thing. Kudzu draped across the distant walls of the university buildings, devouring the faded brick in their viney hold slowly but surely. The silence of her room was somewhat disrupted by the honks and growls of distant cars and the boom of club music from the party that was probably just down the street, but those were normal noises. Normal things. There was calmness in normalcy, serenity, a feeling that you know this and will be okay. Despite the stress she had accumulated from the aspect that she had a major quiz tomorrow, right now, she was calm and happy. A smile was planted on her dark lips, and her eyes were creased with lines of cheerfulness, but it all faded when the familiar sound of a buzz and a groan pulled her from her thoughts.

Debra had sat up suddenly, brown eyes already wide open as she scanned whatever message she had been sent just a few seconds ago. Jesse slowly pulled away from the window and turned, a sheepish smile forming as she whispered a soft 'good morning'. The red-haired roommate glanced up momentarily, nodded, and then went back to her phone, face growing more and more agitated with each line she read until she finally threw it lazily at her feet, huffing with annoyance.

"What's up, Deb? Job issues?" Jesse asked, slowly walking back over to sit on her own bed as Debra threw the covers (and her phone) to the side before standing up, hands already working to tame the messy mane above her head,

"Yes, obviously, job issues. Who else calls me at three in the morning besides you, Jess?" She sighed, finally just tying up her bed head into a high ponytail before she began to dress herself in the same garb she wore every night to her job as a waitress at a twenty-four hour sports bar and club.

"They need me to come in, Jack says they're really packed for some reason and they need all the hands they can get. I'll be back around six or seven maybe." The light flicked on for a moment, allowing Debra to check her face in the mirror beside her bed before she turned to the exit, smirking at Jess, "get some sleep, kitten. If I come back and find you still staring at that textbook I'll slap you so hard you'll see stars. Night!" And then she was gone, sprinting down the dormitory hall at the speed of light. Jesse blinked at the lights above, wincing as their afterimages filled her eyes for a moment with blue dots, yawned once more, then slowly slipped towards the front of the room, flicking off the blaring bulbs once more.

Her gray eyes rose to stare at the desk, where her brain begged her to go and sit and study for at least two more hours, but her body was screaming from sleep deprivation, and instead she slumped back down into the warmth of the mattress. As soon as her head hit the pillow she was gone, mind swallowed by the darkness of sleep. Her dreams would be a mess of calculations and theories, and she would not wake to anything. Not even the familiar scream which sounded four hours later, just below their window.

Name:
Anastasia "Anya" Vakhrov
Age:
21
Appearance:
Anya is, in short, as white as white can be. Due to her albinism, she had been born into the world with pure white hair and skin, while her eyes are a pale blue-violet. She is rather short, standing at about 5'4, and has a curvy figure. Her hair is snow white and reaches down to her mid-back, and it is normally tied back into a low ponytail. With her round face, gentle features, and sweet smile, Anya has a unique appearance that she easily uses to her advantage. When not on stage, singing her heart out, she normally wears very regular, comfy clothes. Her body is very weak compared to others, and she is prone to illness and injury if she over exerts herself.
Role(s) in Show:
Singer

Years Performing with Cirkus Azyl:
Second Week

Personality:
Despite having a rather soft and sweet appearance, Anya is surprisingly fiery and rude. Though she can be rather nice to friends and family, when around strangers she is awfully bratty and rude. Her tongue is her greatest weapon, crafting thousands of insults in many languages in a matter of seconds, and though she knows she shouldn't be so mean to others she just can't help it. Despite her harshness, Anya can be kind, often giving advice to closer friends and helping anyone in need. She has a fondness towards children and animals, and is very interested in all things musical and beautiful.

Her ability to lie and play a helpless, weak damsel has gotten her far through life after running away from home. She has a skill for swindling men with promised of beer and affection, for only a few coins. Of course she never follows through with her promises, and always runs before she could get caught. Her arrogant, spoiled nature can barely show through when she is in one of her acting moods. When not around people she can trick or friends she is quiet, often humming odd tunes under her breath while glancing about worriedly.

Eccentricity:
As shown through her extremely light skin, Anya has Albinism, which makes her sensitive to light. Because of her condition she is rarely seen without sunglasses or a hat when outdoors, and after big shows she is often stuck in bed with massive headaches and dizzy spells. Other then that, she has a very thick Russian accent, drinks way too much, is neurotic, and is surprisingly very childish despite her age.

Professional and Personal Background:
"A fairy, your family has been cursed by a fairy!"

When Anastasia was born into the Vakhrov family, that was the first thing the nurse exclaimed. Unlike other daughters, who's skin were pink and hair dark, Anya was as pale as can be. Like some kind of strange animal, she was as white as snow and quiet, merely glancing about the room quizzically. Her parents were disgusted by her at first, always withholding her from the world to save them from ridicule, but soon rumor spread throughout their small, cold town. People began to peep into the supposed prison of a fairy child, and over and over again her father would chase them away. This continued for many years.

By the time she was twelve, she was under care of a nanny. A woman who, unlike her parents, spoiled her with toys and candy and knowledge. Of course, the nanny had an interest in Anya, and by Anya she meant her voice. That beautiful singing voice which echoed through the normally empty house with the sorrow of a song bird. That voice could be worth a pretty penny. The idea of selling that voice was obviously the first thing on that nanny's mind, but before she could do anything the family was gone. Flew off to England. They had grown tired of the rumors, and decided that the cold of Russia and folklore of their disgusting daughter was too much.

Anya, still kept locked within a new house, sang everyday. Sang till her heart gave out, and her parents had begun to appreciate the voice, often offering to take her out some times as payment for her constant hymns and melodies, and she decided "why not?" After so many years. And in the middle of a crowded street at the mere age of seventeen, eyes hidden by glasses and hair by a hat, she ran. Never looked back, she ran for four years, living off open mics and street corners and sex-crazed men, until she came across the Circus. And, of course, the rest is history.

Professional Skills:
• Singing: Anya's vocal range is superb, going from a high soprano to a low alto in only a few measures.

• Language: Anya can speak Russian, French, Italian, Spanish, and English (with some difficulty). She was taught by both her nanny and whatever books she had brought to America.

• Acting: Anya is a skilled actress thanks to her many years of reading and performing dramas and musicals within her room. This skill had obviously made her a gifted liar.

• Living Arrangement:
Anya lives in one of the apartments within the Circus building. Her room is fitted with any pieces of art, a few wind instruments, and an array of purple items and books. Due to her past, though, she rarely hangs around inside, and can most often be found on the roof.

A rather pretty girl, Hazel is mostly known for her lovely red hair and her strange, mystical, and maybe even witchy eyes. She stands at about 5'10 and is thin and lanky, mostly due to her constant forgetfulness to eat and stay healthy. Her face is small and pale, and is heavily freckled, especially in the sunnier months. Hazel's lips are somewhat large and always curled into a pout, while her nose is small and rounded. Her eyes seem to be blue-green, and almost have a silvery appearance to them. She is rarely seen in anything too fancy, oft preferring sweats and sweaters over dresses and heels, and her hair is normally loose and messy around her face. She is very sensitive to make up and sunlight, and gets rashes and burns easily due to her pale, freckled skin.

Name:
Hazel "Red" Barwicke
Age:
16
Year:
Third Year
Normal or Supernatural:
Clairvoyant (Unaware) - Sees the future through reflective surfaces, more so TVs and computer screens, and hears whispers through phones and during her dreams. Most of her precognition are hard to decipher and rarely wrong, but she has learned to somewhat use them to her advantage, even if she just thinks of them as mere lucky streaks. Also spiritually sensitive, and can see ghosts and other supernatural phenomena.

Personality:
Hazel is a clever and quick-witted young woman, with a sharp tongue and a direct way of approaching things. Over all introverted, she is easy to talk to but looses energy easily if around too many people, and after parties or large excursions she normally allows herself a day or two alone to relax and recharge. Plagued by visions and voices when both asleep and awake, Ash rarely sleeps well, and is rather forgetful. There are many times when she has forgotten to eat or speak during her daily life, which leaves her family a bit worried for her well-being.

Absolutely loves poems, and has a rather clever mind. She could write music and lyrics for hours without stopping, and many times she has done exactly that. Easily stressed out, Hazel has trouble keeping calm at times, and if she gets too far into her panic she may suffer for anxiety attacks and other mildly worrying forms of panic. While she does her best to stay afloat in school, she can very quickly get discouraged if she is unable to do something as easily as she would like. Most of her stress is bore from her lack of sleep and her parents wish for her to keep doing well in school, and while some would say for her to simply take a break and nap it just isn't that easy. Excels in English and music classes, while she is relatively okay at math and science.

Around TVs, phones, and other tech-related devices she is rather nervous. Her powers usually seem to filter through the slender, hole-ridden telephones or smooth, black screens of televisions, more clearly then anywhere else, so when she is close to any sort of electric based item she may hear whispers, or see images of the past or future. Her powers also filter in through still water, windows, mirrors, and dreams, and are overall very dull and hard to see and understand. She is unaware that this is even a power, instead thinking of it as her remembering something odd, like deja vu. She also seems to be sensitive to supernatural forces, and can at times see white outlines of people, or ghosts, as others would call them.

Bio:
Hazel was born into a normal, Irish family. She was the first (and only) child, heavily spoiled, and loved unconditionally by her doctor mother and lawyer father. Of course, due to her parents being busy with their work, she was often alone in her childhood, and though she acted like she didn't mind it kind of got to her eventually, leaving her to be a very withdrawn child. As she grew, Hazel began to notice all the people who lived in her house with them, like the man with the rope around his neck, and the children who often jumped from the railings to the foyer below while giggling hysterically. Hazel often told her parents of these people, but they brushed her off gently, calling them her "imaginary friends". And she soon began to believe they imaginary as well eventually.

The first time she heard whispers of the future was when she was ten, and she was home alone playing with her dad's old guitar. The phone rang suddenly from the kitchen, the old white land line phone that had been broken for the passed three weeks, and Hazel answered with slight hesitance. On the other end, whispers, excited and certain, filtered through and filled her mind with images. She saw a cat, a bad test grade, and an unfamiliar, sobbing child. So surprised by these images, Hazel dropped the phone and fell back, yelling out in fear as the images took over her mind and caused a massive headache. She was bedridden for two days, and when she finally was able to walk and talk without getting a migraine and a nosebleed she returned to school. On her way, though, she was caught up by the most adorable, yet familiar looking cat. She spent a few minutes trying to coax it forward before continuing on her way. In her second period science class, there was a sudden quiz, which she didn't do too well on, receiving a low seventy as a grade, and during recess, the new kid was being harshly bullied. Hazel witnessed all of this, feeling such a heavy sense of deja vu that she almost felt sick.

These odd phenomena continued happening, well into her middle school and then high school life, though she merely brushed them off as sleep-deprived hallucinations/lucky guesses. She was eventually enrolled into the Northwood Academy, and she transferred in during her sophomore year of high school.

A woman with an almost unforgettable appearance, Kaya is tall, thin, and relatively pretty. Her skin rather dark, while at the same time appearing light, and is easily tanned during the warmer months. She has long, curly hair, large, heavily make-uped eyes, and an overall angular face. Due to her lack of eating and constant drug use, she is unhealthily thin, and is prone to nosebleeds and sudden dizzy spells. She weighs an uncomfortable 110lbs while standing at a tall 5'11, and has some muscle-mass thanks to her practice in pole-dancing and dancing in general. Her right arm is covered in black and white tattoos, and her nose is pierced. Is almost always wearing makeup, and she apparently looks very different without it.

NAME:
Kaya "Kitty Kat" Pyŏn
AGE:
21
GENDER:
Female
SEXUALITY:
Pansexual
ETHNICITY:
African/Asian American
ILLNESS(ES):
- HCV (Hepatitis C) [unknown]
- Hypotension (low-blood pressure)
- HIV Positive (AIDS)

SKILLS:
Thanks to her past as a Music major, Kaya is a gifted musician and singer, having preformed in many church choirs and shady underground clubs. She is gifted in playing the guitar, violin, viola, piano, flute, clarinet, and drums and has good control of her mezzo-range voice. She is well known for her musical skills thanks to the Life Cafe and the street corners she sometimes plays on.

Other than singing, Kaya also dances. And by dances, she of course means pole-dancing and stripping. Known as Kitty Kat by Blue Moon patrons, she seamlessly spins around that pole with out breaking a sweat, and constantly shows off her body to the "adoring" crowds below. Her signature move involves getting on her hands and knees and meowing like a cat, eyes narrowed with makeup and fake ears sat upon her head.

Makeup is another thing she does well. From hiding blemishes and changing face shapes to covering scars and needle marks, she can do it all. With some eyeliner and blush, Kaya can do it all. Aside from hiding her face, she can also hide her actions by lyin- er, acting. She relies heavily on her ability to act sweet and pure and innocent, despite being anything but. In fact, get a little too touchy and the street and she might punch your lights out. Thanks to her parents (before they supposedly ruined her life), Kaya had been taught countless martial arts and self-defense skills, though they didn't really spend enough time teaching her how to cook or clean.

JOB:
- Dancer at The Blue Moon: A popular, though somewhat underpaid stripper at the sleazy club, she is know as "Kitty Kat" by the patrons and is beloved for her ability to simply let it all our during some shows.
- Well-known Pianist and Singer at the Life Cafe: Though she isn't exactly paid for her work, Kaya goes to the Life Cafe on Tuesdays and Thursday to play a few songs and keep the atmosphere light and calm. She sometimes receives tips from the patrons.

PERSONALITY:
While on the surface Kaya appears sweet and friendly, often coming up to strangers with a wide smile and friendly tips, she is far from kind. With a biting wit, a sailor's mouth, and devilish eyes, Kaya is most likely approaching you with some kind of insult in mind. Rather mischievous and childish, she often pulls practical jokes towards those she deems worthy, and despite always getting caught she just can't stop making them, finding that even mundane attacks to be hilarious in some manner. Despite being somewhat of a social butterfly, Kaya has few close friends, finding that her mind simply has problems trusting people easily. Due to her cynical mindset, after her initial friendly greeting she will slowly grow more and more abrasive the longer the conversation goes on. This untrustworthy attitude only fades completely when she's drunk, and thanks to her party-obsessed body Kaya is almost always drunk or high by the end of the night. To those she is friends with, she is ridiculously loyal, and will stop at nothing to protect them.

Once a music student, Chris has a very clear understanding of how to play many instruments and how to sing, which is evident if someone finds her on a street corner, strumming a guitar for extra cash. Music seems to be the only thing that can make her smile, and she has countless songs that she loves to play when feeling alone or upset or sick. She dropped out of college at the age of nineteen, and isn't exactly the smartest person around, often relying on her ability to perceive a situation rather than exactly understanding the matter at hand. Hates politics, though she has a very open mind and will sometimes attend protests or rallies for things she finds important.

Thanks to growing up in a rough neighborhood, Kaya had once taken part in many fist fights and verbal arguments, and though she doesn't exactly have the strength to fight now a days she always remembers her mother's advice: "aim for the eyes!". With her strong eyes and sharp tongue, it doesn't seem as though Kaya would crack under pressure, though that assumption is very wrong. If too much stress is put on the skinny girl's shoulders she will easily snap and end up curled up in a shaking ball. Hiding her fears is something Kaya does very well, so when she finally lets everything spill out it is nearly unbearable.

Currently raising money for rehab, as she is having some trouble with her drug addiction and wishes to cleanse herself for her music.

A young, probably once feminine looking man, Kimbal is short, well-built, and always seems to have a large smile on his face. His skin is dark, and freckled heavily, showing mostly during times when he has decided to head outside. He has a square face, close-cropped black hair, and two different colored eyes (blue and brown) which always seem to have a sleepy feel to them. Standing at a short (for a man) 5'7 feet and weighing 190lbs, most won't find him as much as a threat in the street, but he is surprisingly strong and athletic. Has a tattoo of a music note on his left wrist, and his right ear is pierced.

NAME:
Kimbal Rodgers
AGE:
24
GENDER:
Trans* Man
SEXUALITY:
Bisexual
ETHNICITY:
African American
ILLNESS:
- HIV Positive (AIDS)
- Tendonitus (Wrists)

SKILLS:
Thanks to his wealthy parents, Kimbal was placed into a rather wealthy school, whee he spent many days of his school career reading and writing and studying. He was very gifted in most English classes, excelling in writing essays and short stories, though he struggled heavily in math and science. He was also gifted in over viewing and editing other pieces of writing, and had a knack for picking out fatal flaws in many essays.

In his high school, there was a very prominent theater program which dominated most of the school's funds. Kimbal was very interested in musical theater, and was always auditioning for roles with his impressive acting ability, though his lesser singing and dancing skills sometimes betrayed him in the end.

Other than acting and writing, Kimbal is rather good at housework and loves to cook and clean for Kaya and whoever else wants to appreciate his work whenever he can.

JOB:
Unemployed
- Street Performer: He makes some money by dancing or reading poetry to Kaya's drumming in street corners and sometimes venues.

PERSONALITY:
A kind, shy man, Kimbal is as sweet a guy as they come. Always donning a wide smile, even in dire times, he is someone that is comfortable to be around and easy to talk to. He is somewhat withheld with his words, often staying quiet in loud situations, and is honestly loudest when on stage, where he can act and sing to his heart's content. Kimbal is rather protective of his friends, often clinging close to them in an effort to shoo away any unwanted attention as well as keep then comfortable if needed. He absolutely loves others to death, and will at times worry more for then than himself.

A would-be theater major, Kimbal has a habit of reciting plays and monolouges during random moments of the day. He can often be found reading and editing playbills he found on the street or the old manuscripts that litter his apartment's walls and closests. His love for theater knows no bounds, and he appears to have the most fun on stage.

While he appreciates the protests on the streets below, he rarely takes part in them, rather he sits, waiting for Kaya to attend and return so he can ask how it all went. He finds it difficult to have an opinion on politics, though believes that the homeless issue needs to be dealt with delicately and the rights of homosexuals should not be ignored.

He is currently trying to help Kaya with her rehabilitation and lack of eating with some force and sometimes harsh words, but he honestly means well.

BRIEF BIO:
Once the daughter(son) of a rich family, Kim Rodgers grew up knowing he wasn't like other girls. He hated the dresses, the hairs, and felt more comfortable in pants and without all the bows and makeup. At the age of ten he told his parents of his feelings, and though they were hesitant, they brought him to therapy anyway, and the therapist confirmed Kim's woes. He was put on T when he was sixteen, all while tensions grew within his family, until finally, at the age of eighteen, he was kicked out of his home.

Without money for college nor a home, he wandered homeless for a year, making money by sleeping around and acting in impromptu stage shows, before meeting Kaya. At first, the two tried dating, but that didn't work out, so they simply moved in together as roommates in a rather rugged apartment on 11th Street. He was diagnosed with AIDS at the age of twenty-three, and is currently attending a group to help cope with his illness.

For: Into the Woods

"Green finch and linnet bird, nightingale, blackbird, how is it you sing?"

Name:
Eva Schnee
Age:
19
Parents:
Snow White and Prince Charming (Florian/David/????)
Race:
Human

Shadow Animal:
An elegant black bird she has lovingly named Vogel. Normally visits during her dreams.
Wish:
Knowledge of the world and people around her, to strip her of her naivety so she may become a smart and brave individual.

Bio:
The first thing Eva could remember from her childhood was the dusty inn room. An oil lamp, a desk, and an uncomfortable bed where she would lay for days without doing anything, that was her entire memory of being a toddler. She was at least two years of age by then, and sometimes within the endless, dream-filled days, someone would come in to feed her, tell her a story, and then leave for the rest of the day. The person who came was a stout woman with a familiar yet brutal face named Mariette, and obviously Eva assumed this woman to be her mother. Her father was a man who very rarely entered the room, but Eva always remembered his face. He was thin, oh so thin, with a bird-like nose, black hair, and beady eyes. A greedy-looking man, named Vendal. He didn't seem to have the time to visit her like mother would (but, even then, mother only came once a day).

By the time Eva was old enough to walk she was put to work, with her present at the end of day being a story, but normally the stories were far from pleasant. Instead, they told Eva of the world outside of the walls of the inn, a world of fear and death and sadness, and her mother spoke of these things with a thin smile and hard eyes. Eva couldn't tell if they were told for her protection, or her mother's amusement, yet she couldn't help but be glad that her mother cared enough to talk to her. Even if she felt as though she couldn't trust those that are said to be trustworthy, she couldn't just run away...

Eva was basically a maid for the two inn keepers, and was constantly overworked and berated by both her parents and her customers. From the constant pokes and prods she gained a quickly anxious and unhinged mindset, and soon became prone to panic attacks so bad that she would faint from the very thought of meeting someone new. Yet despite this, she was still forced to work around and for people, and even when she begged for her mother to just give her cleaning-related jobs she was met with exasperated victim-blaming and extreme abuse which she just couldn't recognize at the time. From passive, demeaning comments about her looks, to full on beatings, Eva simply thought this was how all families acted.

The inn, despite its messy interior, was rather grand from the outside, and was surrounded by a wall of thick hedges. In the back was a well, a garden, and the smallest little burrow that lead out to the forest beyond the village. Whenever she felt alone, scared, or upset, she would retire to the garden, where she would sit by the well and sing out with her beautiful voice. She discovered at fifteen that when she sang she felt more at home then within the "safety" of the inn, and from her throat friends would swoop down from the sky or slip through the hole to listen to her woeful tunes. These small animals kept her company, and kept her happy even during the worst days.

By the time she was seventeen, she realized that these two people barely acted like parents to her, and when she questioned them she was only met with laughter and kind, yet firm hugs. Her eyes would drift to the families that would gather within the tavern below, though, to see happy smiles and love being shared between children and parents, and her life slowly began to melt to reveal the horror of those she thought she could trust. It suddenly became apparent that she just didn't know who she was, and even if she did belong with these two brutal people, and her innocence and anxiety was soon over shadowed by the pain in her heart that urged for her to journey out and find herself somewhere else. Yet she couldn't leave, not yet, so she feigned ignorance after her epiphany, and went back to her work, waiting, waiting for the perfect time to leave.

And then the black bird came, holding the dark parchment, and, well, how could she refuse?

Appearance:
The daughter of a beauty, Eva has gained many of her mother's attributes over the years. She is tall and fit, with thicker arms and legs that could be considered muscular, and has a rather elegant face. Her hair is as black as night, and her eyes are a clear green, and often filled with a naive innocence and fierce fire that might be unfamiliar to most. Eva, is prone to angry outbursts and day dreaming, and when she isn't out singing or working she is either pouting at a wall or staring into space. Normally dressed in loose, casual, work gowns, and is rather careless when it comes to how she looks.

Other:
- Prone to anxiety attacks when she overexerts herself in social situations
- Has a very beautiful singing voice.
- Somewhat ditzy

For: The Battle for New York

The first word that may come to your head at the sight of Mimi might always be "gorgeous". A woman who knows she's attractive, Mimi flaunts her body in anyway she can to get attention and cash, be it stripping, dirty jobs, or even impromptu schemes. She has a very angular face, with a small nose, large lips, and normally winged eyes that glow with mischief and ego. Her hair is dark and contrasts her white skin nicely, curling around her face in a way that shows off its angles and shadows. Normally dresses in the fashion of the times, though she loves to flaunt off her more expensive outfits whenever she can.

Name:
Mimi Keller
Age:
26

Relation to Godfather:
None?
Role in family:
Hired hand for any family/passive-aggressive assassin (up for grabs by any family)

Bio:
The daughter of a poor, Manhattan based single mother and an unknown, probably dead father, Mimi grew up basically on the streets, fighting against the slime that surrounded her industrial, dirty apartment. School was nearly out of the question, if not for her mother's stash of American literature books and the public library's lack of security. Mimi basically taught herself how to survive, taught herself money and occupations and anything else that could help a poor, New York squatter take her life out of the gutter.

By the age of sixteen she was working odd jobs to support herself, waitress-ing, delivering, doing anything to raise money to buy her own apartment somewhere nice. By the age of eighteen she was doing her first job for a Mafia member, delivering a sealed package to an odd location, behind a sleazy-looking diner. The pay was good, and she was inspired to continue doing work for good cash, trying to attract the attention of Mafia folk by turning to her looks. She taught herself the art of being a lady, changing nearly everything about her ratty self until she finally bloomed into the female fatale you see today.

Now, Mimi works countless jobs for a pricey fee, and she has a rather passive occupation of being a dancer at a Mafia run club. Over the years, she has gained much information on her employers, though she wouldn't let the secrets leave her lips unless something greener as involved.

Personality:
Sharp, mischievous, egotistical, and a skilled liar, Mimi is armed and dangerous with shocking glares and harsh insults that may leave one wondering how such a pretty mouth could say such rude things. Her main interest in life, other than looking good, is money. Mimi would do anything for money, it's basically her reason for living, and if her employer has her work without pay then she will not show much mercy by the end of it. Mimi is quite the sneak, often taking time to observe and understand her situation before completing a job, and she can often be found taking notes on missions, as if she is saving something they are saying for later.

Snarky, Mimi isn't exactly a fan of people unless they're paying her, and as such she can be rather cynical and mean-spirited when not acting out her role as the sweet, naive femme fatale she has conjured up over the years. Though, around new folks and possible targets, she is as innocent as can be, batting her lashes and giggling like a school girl. She is a natural negotiator and actress, and though she is rather weak physically, she is somewhat skilled with a gun and should not be taken lightly.

When not out on the streets and around friends she can be much kinder, maybe even caring to her closer mates. Motherly by nature, she has a slight weakness to children and small animals, and will often to anything in her nature to protect someone innocent in need. Though her ego can get in the way of her feelings for others, she does mean well for those she likes, even if they don't think so.

Relationship?:
Other:
- Mimi often says that she left her mother behind after she started her dirty work, but that is simply untrue. She often sends her mom half of her pay, and may visit her during a lackluster work week. Her mother my be one of her major weak points.
- She normally walks the streets with an ornate, silver pistol holstered on her thigh. Where she got the weapon is unknown, though it could very easily have been pay for a job.

For: A Game of Throhs - Medieval Pokemon RP (A Revival)

"I can hear them, sometimes, speaking to me. Can you?"
[img=blog-imgs-55.fc2.com/s/i/r/sirominosak..
Usernames: Liriia
Name: Aleida
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Allegiance: None - She can't be bothered to care for the silly war.

Weapon:
A worn, wooden fishing rod. Though an odd choice for a weapon, Aleida uses it as effectively as possible. The end of the line is tipped with a straight, somewhat dull weight rather than a hook, and due to its user's somewhat pacifistic nature it is normally used to trip up opponents and keep them at bay while she attempts to escape the conflict.

Appearance:
A short, slender woman, Aleida is as average a person as they get... Save for the strange blue markings on her arms, legs, chest, and face. She is rather pretty, with a round, gentle face, soft brown eyes, and a cheery smile that can brighten even the stormiest of days. Her brown hair is short and layered heavily, which allows it to poof up under even the slightest hint of moisture in the air. She stands at about 5'3", weighing a mere 110 lbs, and as true to her weight she isn't exactly the strongest. She has trouble doing extreme exercise, and tires easily, much to Tidal's distress. When overexerted she is known to fall right asleep without a care in the world.

Aleida often wanders with a dreamy expression on her face, moving slowly and softly through the land much like a dancer would. Her posture is rather bad, giving her a slight hunch when she sits, and she has a bad habit of pulling out strands of her hair when she is anxious. Light blue tattoos span across her body like stars, gathering below her eyes, around her neck, and all the way across her chest and down her back and legs. They are curiously designed with swirls and dots, and match the ones that dot Tidal's torso and face.

Her outfit is rather revealing, with a simple tan cloak covering her top side and a long, pleated skirt covering her bottom. Bandages bind her legs, arms, and chest, hiding the odd, swirling patterns that paint her skin, and she normally has a leather bag over her right arm which holds most of her food and water and anything else that needs to be protected. She rarely wears shoes, and she feels constricted by normal clothes, which normally results in her free-flowing and skin-showing clothes.

Personality:
As true to her gentle appearance, Aleida is a warm and sweet person. She is naive and oblivious, often running headlong into danger without realizing it, much to Tidal's distress. Though air-headed, she is far from stupid, and when in a stressful situation she can be surprisingly logical, often looking deeper into the chaos to find a way out of the conflict. Her happy-go-lucky attitude is rather infectious, and she is almost never seen without a smile gracing her face. Though normally nice, if pushed too far it is possible to see another side of Aleida, a much harsher, stubborn side, though it does take a lot to really annoy the lax girl. Gentle and motherly, she loves to care for and look after people, finding a feeling completeness when she can be of help to someone.

Despite her child-like personality, Aleida can be rather intense, often showing a much more dark side when in danger. Though she dislikes hurting other people and Pokemon, there are times when she can lash out, baring her teeth with an animal-like hiss, but Tidal does well to snap her out of such a phase. She truly dislikes fighting, often finding ways to avoid conflict with her limited resources, but despite this she is extremely brave and stubborn, never backing down from a challenge, despite knowing she may not be able to win. She may be clumsy and naive, but she knows right from wrong, and can often explode and yell at people who may have a different view from her.

Thanks to her empathetic nature, she is rather good at bonding with Pokemon and people. There are times where Aleida believes she can hear the voices of the Pokemon around her, though it may just be her intuition and motherly nature telling her what the creature craves or how it feels. Her naivety is her biggest downfall, though, and she has gotten into a lot of trouble due to how easily trusting she can be.

Other than that, Aleida loves fishing, napping, and nature in its purest form. She has a strong interest in water type Pokemon, and loves to swim with Tidal whenever she can. Hopelessly dreamy, Aleida constantly gets lost in her daydreams, and is easily distracted by beautiful things. She is very self-conscious of her tattoos, and very, very forgetful. She can often be found walking in circles without realizing it, and can sleep for an entire day if not awoken by an outside source. Naturally introverted, Aleida can get very tired from talking to other beings, and often has to rest on her journey due to her weak body.

Biography:
Aleida does not remember her home town, her allegiance, or her family. Her mind was blank, heavy, as if a blanket was draped over her brain, stopping her from remembering anything.

It was a scorching day when she woke up in an unknown forest, this is the first memory. She was surrounded by trees and bushes, but where she lay was barren and cracked, a dead clearing in an otherwise lush environment. The sun was blaring down on her bare skin, burning the otherwise pale flesh, and everything ached, especially her head, and the second she was about to pass out from the sheer pain that she felt, water suddenly poured drenched her. A cry of a Pokemon, a familiar sound, claimed her half-conscious attention, and at the sight of the Vaporeon that sat just next to her head she remembers smiling and whispering,

"Tidal-"

Before falling into darkness again.

Aleida was later found by a traveler and nursed back to health in a secluded cabin by a friendly family, and in this time she slowly began to realize how dire her situation was. She was in Ayero, an unknown nation to her, and she had a strong case of amnesia. The only thing she could truly remember was her first name, Aleida, and the Vaporeon that never left her side. Though generally confused and upset, she eventually left the family that helped her, feeling as if she were just a freeloader, and she began to wander. Walking across the landscape, she met many people and Pokemon, learning and relearning many things, and there are times when the blank spots in her mind would glow with familiarity, but they would soon vanish again as she was distracted by something.

Her journey is simple; find her past, and with the help of Tidal, Aleida truly believes she'll be able to find herself once more.

[img=38.media.tumblr.com/999c633d4e319f5a51..
Species: Vaporeon
Nickname: Tidal
Gender: Male

Appearance:
Though he is not adorned with any clothing or armor, he does have rather odd tattoos that swirl near his eyes and on his body. The shape and location of the tattoos are similar to the ones that decorate Aleida, but instead of being blue they are pale yellow, making it somewhat difficult for Tidal to hunt in the water due to the bright color.

Personality:
Tidal is an extremely protective companion, countering Aleida's naive nature with his own distrustful one. He is extremely cautious, though definitely has a motherly side and loves to care for those in need. Somewhat stubborn, he'll remain stoic until he gets his wish, though can be easily wavered when forced by Aleida. With a gentle gaze and a harsh bite, Tidal is Aleida's voice of reason at times, and he seems to have vowed to never leave her side. They are not a master and a pet, they are companions, partners. Friends.

Moveset: Surf, Wish, Acid Armor, Aurora Beam
Ability: Water Absorb - When hit by water or water-based moves, Tidal is able to absorb the attack and heal slightly. He is also somewhat unaffected by water-type moves.

For: Avatar: The Dark Age

Name: Kai Zhèng
Age: 20
Gender: Female

Appearance:
Short, slender, and pale, Kai looks much younger than she actually is. Standing at about 5'3" and weighing a mere 121 pounds (130 pounds with the added weight of her leg), her body is small, thin, and delicate looking. While she is young looking, Kai is far from unattractive, with a heart-shaped face, angular, dark eyes, and asymmetrical, colorful hair. Doll-like lips and a small nose give her a porcelain appearance, and gray-black orbs glare off in a dreamy sense during almost any situation, even conversations. Her hair, once probably straight and black, has been chopped awkwardly and semi-dyed red.

Her body is mostly flat all around and nearly rock hard from her intense training. Muscles line her arms and leg, and abs are present on her lower abdomen and stomach. Her hands and feet are surprisingly large for her small stature, and her legs make up a majority of her height. Her left leg is almost entire bionic, save for the remaining flesh just below of hip, and it is normally hidden behind long pants and skirts due to her dislike for its appearance. Kai generally dresses in cool colors, and enjoys feeling free and comfortable. Tank tops and sweats are a norm, as well as flowing scarves, tight suits, and anything else she finds appealing to the eyes. Her feet are almost protected by tabi, it's almost as if she doesn't own any other kind of shoe, and she often covers her head with hoods or her personalized gas-mask. Kai holds a slight interest in makeup, and has quite a few tattoos, including ultraviolet red spider lilies, black and white koi, and quite a few circuit board designs.

Colored sketch

Some styles you may see her in.
{X} {X} {X}

Abilities:
As silent as the night, yet with the force of a tiger, Kai uses stealth and flow in her martial arts. Her strikes are swift and thoughtless, gained from years of mindless training, and her body moves like water, flowing easily in circles as it draws her enemy closer to their demise. Kai is a non-bender, and as such must rely simply on her body to stay alive. She has mastered the use of the jōhyō, or rope dart, a weapon that relies on good eyes and precise hits. Kai has studied how benders move, and implements some of their styles into her own fights. The waterbender's fluid, defensive-offense helps to keep Kai ready for counters, the earthbender's rigid strength and tight stances help keep Kai grounded, the airbender's flexibility and light feet help Kai dodge and overwhelm, and finally the firebender's willpower and powerful strikes allow her to take down her enemy. Her eyes are her main weapon, allowing her to analyze and remember a fight style, as well as point out distinct weaknesses that an enemy might possess. Thanks to Master Shu, Kai is also a bit knowledgeable on using other weapons, like swords, knives, and bo staffs. Training under the Stormcrows gave her time to practice her aim as well, allowing her to be able to use smaller, more accurate guns with only slight trouble.

Other than her martial arts, Kai is a well-off mechanic/vehicle expert. Raised by a pair of geniuses, Kai experienced first hand the wonders of technology after the accident that took off her leg. Inspired by the bionics, she became very interested in computers and machines, and focused most of her mental power on building or repairing broken tech. She became interested in learning how to drive and pilot many vehicles during her teen years at home, and one of the maids actually allowed her to drive around town (with supervision of course). After escaping the house, she spent a few more years learning how to drive and repair technology, and due to those she is almost always looking for scrap metal to use in her repairs.

In times of dire need, Kai relies of the force of her bionic leg, which packs a pretty hefty punch. She is also generally agile and flexible, allowing her to rush in and out of danger on a whim. Due to an intense interest in weapons, Kai has also become interested in using her jōhyō as an art form. The tip of the heavy dart is full of LED lights, and it will glow intensely during fights or street performances, allowing for some interesting swirls of colors to appear in even the darkest of streets.

Equipment and Bionics:
Due to a childhood accident, Kai lost most of her left leg, rendering her incapable of walking. Due to their high status and easily obtained tech, her parents where easily able to ordera bionic limb for her. Months of therapy and training soon granted the young Kai the ability to walk again, and even more training allowed her to implementing the limb in her fighting style. Her duel stun batons are normally held on her back by a sling, and her personalized jōhyō is almost always coiled at her side like a whip. She also sports a pistol, holstered on her right leg, and spare ammo. Other than that, Kai carries a small tablet, a hand-made computer jammer, and anything else she'll need in a brown rucksack.

Personality:
With a soft voice and dreamy eyes, Kai could easily be considered a ditzy girl. She is naive, and, while sweet, can be surprisingly blunt and rude, especially if she is distracted by something. Her thoughtlessness towards others can be a result of her general over thinking, or perhaps the fact that she is almost always daydreaming. Kai is intelligent, proven by her knack for technology and intense interest in learning new things, but she is far more book smart than street smart. She is somewhat confused on how to interact with others, giving people the impression that she is shy or antisocial, while she is anything but. With a stoic, painted face, and a somewhat bad reputation, not many approach the small woman.

Kai can be assumed to be only happy when she is working or training. In the silence of a dojo or a garage, Kai feels at peace and cheerful, and thanks to this she is somewhat of a workaholic. Around friends or closer colleagues, Kai can crack a joke or two, though they can be kind of dry, and she will genuinely enjoy their company even if she doesn't seem to. She can be rather protective, though might not realize a friend is in danger until a little bit too late due to her ditzy nature. Kai is naturally attracted to good people, and feels a heavy need to defend those in need of defending. She enjoys it when other depend on her, though she herself is heavily independent. The only person Kai feels she can truly depend on and trust is Lee, her missing brother. In fact, he is one of the main reasons she joined the freedom fighters.

Being the daughter of workers for Future Industries, Kai feels as though she should hate herself, and finds that this self loathing makes her worthless as a rebel fighter. Years of mental abuse from her parents broke her confidence, and while she is slowly unlearning those problematic thoughts it would still be dangerous to allow Kai to see her parents again. The entirety of her life with them was spent in an mansion, spoiled rotten and taught nothing. She became independent early on, teaching herself everything she can from the large library and the few computers scattered among the glass palace. While she is hard to rile up, it is not impossible, and an angry Kai is someone to fear. Other emotions like depression or joy may not appear as easily on her face, but there are times when she truly does show them.

In a fight she is near emotionless, and her eyes are intense and focused. Kai relies on her speed and flexibility, as well as her quick gaze. In terms of mercy, she never really knows how to hold back, and must be told to stop if she looses herself in a fight. Kai always attempts to appear emotionless around the enemy, knowing that even a slight facial expression can change the way one thinks. While Kai can be somewhat ditzy and dreamy, she is far from a bad or stupid person, and will do anything to help someone in need.

Backstory:
• Kai is the daughter of Rei and Ko Zhèng. She is their second child, the first being Lee, who is four years older than her.

• The Zhèng family lives in a large estate in Republic City. The mansion is surrounded by a stone wall with a gate. The children are only allowed outside for school or with the supervision of a maid. They cannot leave without an adult.

• Rei, the father, is cold and cynical, as well as one of the head scientists at a Future Industries-run lab. Ko, the mother, is a secretary for a Future Industries office building, and she is very interested in technology. She is also always relying on her children to make her look better. Both parents ignore their children, too focused on their work to care for them.

• Lee is the rebellious child. He has found a way to escape the mansion walls and explore Republic City. Kai is much too scared to leave, and is very, very spoiled, which makes her believe that she owes her family something for that.

• Kai slowly draws into herself, becoming more stoic and independent as she grows. She eventually barely shares her emotions, and begins to rely only on Lee to convey her thoughts.

• On her seventh birthday, Ko and Rei are persuaded by a few maids to take Kai into town for a nice birthday dinner. On the way home, they get into a car crash and Kai's left leg is mutilated, and Rei's right arm is as well. They are forced to amputate, and Ko finds this as an excuse to test out some bionics.

• Six months of psychical therapy and training later, Kai and Rei are not able to use their new metal appendages effectively. A new way to craft bionics is discovered, and the parents are away more than usual.

• Kai (8) begins reading the entirety of the library at home, and delves into the art of computers. Lee (12) gets somewhat involved with the Stormcrows, and only tells Kai. Kai instructs Lee to find a master who could teach him martial arts as self defense. Lee heads out to find a master. Kai secretly wishes to learn as well, but doesn't let it show.

• Lee meets Master Shu, an older man who is a martial art and weapon-using prodigy. He offers to teach Lee, and Lee also suggest that his sister might like to learn as well. Shu accepts both of them. Lee tells Kai the news, and she sneaks out of the house for the first time.

• Kai spends the next five years training under Master Shu with Lee. She is a natural, and begins to feel the stress of her home life melt away as she trains. Ko and Rei do not notice anything.

• Kai (14) and Lee (18) are nearing the end of Shu's training. They are no where near masters, but they are well off enough to protect themselves. Shu ends their apprenticeships and before Kai leaves, he tells her of the dark rumors he has heard surrounding Future Industries. Disturbed, she returns home and does some research, and then approaches her father with a question: "Why has your lab been preforming inhumane experiments?" Rei reacts violently, but quickly calms and says they have done nothing of the sorts, and then mumbles something about being influenced by Lee. Kai is stunned, and scared.

• Lee vanishes a few days after leaving behind Shu. Kai attempts to go out to look for him but is stopped by Ko, who talks her down and back into the house, using vague threats and guilt tactics to keep her within the walls. Ko continues to mentally abuse Kai.

• Kai spends the next three years reading and rereading the books in the library and training her martial arts skills. She has not crept out of the house since Lee's disappearance. During her sixteenth year, she begins to receive strange letters everyday, and they manage to calm her as they confirm Lee is alive and well... And working with the Stormcrows.

• On her seventeenth birthday, the finale letter comes, and frantically explains Lee's capture by an unknown source thought to be Future Industries. The writer gives Kai an option to join the Stormcrows in an attempt to help find her brother as well as help the effort for freedom and she easily accepts. Unexpectedly, Ko returns home and catches Kai in the act of cutting her hair. Ko questions her daughter, using guilt and fear once more to control her, but Kai quickly backs away and declares that she doesn't owe her or Rei anything. Ko attempts to grab the girl but Kai easily evades and disarms her before running off to gather whatever money she can find and pack. Finally, she escapes through the window.

• Kai spends the next two years of her life as a wanderer, with her only haven being Master Shu's home. Not wanting to join the Stormcrows ill-prepared, she trains harshly, pushing her body and mind to the limit with constant movement. She studies benders for fighting inspiration, and used her personalized jōhyō to gain money on the street. Her mechanic skills are also trained, and she is now able to drive and repair cars, motorbikes, and boats.

• A few months before her twentieth birthday she joins the freedom fighters.
