Full Name: Hae Kim Rogan Alias: Kumiho Age: 26 Gender: Female Sexuality: Omnisexual Nationality: South Korean/Irish Personality: Cunning, strong-willed, and unintentionally cold, Hae walks the streets of New York with a high head and shoulders back. Her confidence (more like arrogance) swells from her body like water, pouring out with every melodic word she conveys, but despite her simple attractiveness she is far from approachable. A look of indifference or boredom can often be shown on her face, especially when she is in a conversation, and if she isn't working or listening to music she can often be seen napping. Incredibly moody and almost always sleep-deprived, Hae often snaps at people for no good reason. The only way to calm her nerves is to give her some work to do or a cigarette to huff. While she is extremely street-smart and rather well-versed in most academics, Hae is not very good with technology and is often asking for help for even the simplest tech problem. --- Hae Kim Rogan Summary [A one-paragraph summary of who you are, and what you’re about.] - - - - - - - - - - I stand at about 5"7' and weight around 137 pounds. As you can see, I've definitely got some Asian heritage in me, South Korean to be exact. Dad held those genes, while Mummy gave me some of her Scottish qualities, like my easy-to-burn skin and red hair. I take a lot of pride in my appearance, I want to look at nice as I know I am dammit! I won't shy away from makeup, and I absolutely adore my long hair. Thanks to work and a premium gym membership, I'm rather healthy and strong, though I often skimp out on leg days. You'll probably see me in suits and formal wear often, I absolutely hate getting caught in something too informal. - - - - - - - - - - 1. How old are you? Twenty-six as of February 10th. 2. Tell me about your family life. Are you parents still alive? Who raised you? Siblings? What do they do? Mummy was a whore and daddy was a drunk, not much to say about them. Soo Kim and Peter Rogan, awful lot really, kept me around only because I brought in money in my teen years and cleaned the apartment whenever possible. I was their first mistake of three, the other two being my brother Joo and sister May, now those were perfect kids. I took care of them while mummy got lost in the motel bedrooms and daddy complained about his lack of drink. I practically raised myself, really, only survived the first few years because of mum's mother, who felt sorry for me. I was never beaten or anything, mummy and dad never really came home or out of their rooms until late in the night. I was just ignored, left to fend for myself, and I guess that's better then getting a black eye every night. Joo was born when I was about twelve, and May came two years later, so I was basically old enough to keep those two alive. I haven't heard from them in awhile actually, but I'm sure they're fine. Mum is still out there, and the only reason I know that is because she'll sometimes call me up for spare cash. I bet she's starving in the streets somewhere with another swollen stomach, fucking whore. Dad's either dead or dying, he hasn't tried to contact me at all. I could care less. 3. Explain your closest relationships, especially those that you've dated or courted, or those who you never want to see again. (We all have 'em.) I suppose I used to be pretty close to my brother and sister. We had to stick together, Scotland isn't exactly a gentle territory, and due to our parents we were the constant center of bullying. I lost touch with both of them a few years back though, sadly, I hope they're doing fine. I was pretty close to my Nan until she just vanished, moved right out of the city when I turned ten. Never was able to find her in the end. As for dating, eh, I've been more interested in one-night stands for awhile. Had a nice little girlfriend in high school for a few years, Stacy Benson, ah, she was one nice-looking bird. Hmm, Jimmy Mason was one of my young adult lovers, broke it off with him quick though, lazy bum. Mason Keller, Kim Youth, Duncan Rose, Hannah Ruth, I've had quite a few romances to be honest. I took a break from dating at the age of twenty... three, four? Eh, I've just been having a lot of loveless sex lately, but I'm guessing you didn't need to know. As for people I don't wish to see again, well, most of the names above count. Mum and dad of course, erm, that kid Josh Park who called me a "dyke" every day in high school, that one girl who split my lip in a bar that one night. Plenty of people I've crossed during jobs. The entirety of the Red Mills gang from back home in Glasgow. I have plenty of enemies, so I may forget a few... 4. What social class are you from? How has that shaped who you are? Dirt poor, hun. Well, not truly dirt poor. Mum managed to get a large apartment in a shitty neighborhood, but that's about it. Dad spent most of his money on more drinks, so it was up to me to save money for food and bills.. That kind of life definitely made me more frugal, I don't like wasting money even to this day, funnily enough! Because we didn't have much in term of entertainment I often resorted to playing in the streets, and this made me rather savvy when it came to avoiding certain gangs and bums. I suppose without that dirt poor lifestyle, I wouldn't have made it to where I am today. Lucky me~. 5. How did you get started doing what you do now? Chance. 6. Who is your greatest hero or inspiration? 7. What precious personal items do you carry with you always? [Answer] 8. How do religion and prophesy play into your life? [Answer] 9. What do you feel about myth and legend? [Answer] 10. Tell me about your dealings with the military. 11. Tell me about your run-ins with the law. [Answer] 12. Who is your greatest confidant? [Answer] 13. Tell me about someone in your past you'd prefer to avoid. Who, and why? [Answer] 14. When you finally leave this life (hopefully a long time from now), what do you want to have been known for? [Answer] 15. You see a large bar of gold sitting in the street, and no one else seems to notice it. You think you have a moment before anyone else sees. What do you do? [Answer] 16. Which side of the bed do you roll out of? How come? [Answer] 17. Of the following choices, choose one at the expense of the rest: WEALTH. POWER. RESPECT. WISDOM. STRENGTH. LOYALTY. FAME. [Answer] 18. Tell me about your recent history. [Answer] - - - - - - - - - - Miscellaneous Notes [Any extra miscellaneous notes for your character’s history, alliances, or other items that might provide for interesting story hooks.]

For: The Road to Indigo

Name: Sybil Goldon
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Hometown: Dewford Town, Hoenn

Appearance:
Soft flesh, small shoulders, and round cheeks give the impression of a child, something Sybil definitely is not. Growing up in the sunny town of Dewford, Sybil was blessed with rough, tanned skin and a near immunity to the sun's harmful rays, a useful power for one who spends most of her days journeying. Long, pale brown hair falls down to her waist, thick and sleek in appearance despite it's constant habit of frizzing up. She often ties it back to keep it out of her way during expeditions, though her inability to make ponytails usually leaves it to a simple ribbon at the base of the strands. Smoky blue eyes glare out from beneath side swept bangs, constantly clouded with thought, and they only brighten at the sight of something that excites her interests. Rather thick eyebrows curve downwards, giving Sybil a perpetual look of annoyance.

Her face is round and child-like, though the angles of adulthood have begun to cut more prominently through the softness. Cute features stand out among her tanned flesh, a small nose and doll-like lips add on to her young appearance, and long lashes curl downwards against round, dull eyes. Her body is curvy, genes blessing her with a near hourglass figure despite her short stature, but she is far from unhealthy. Muscles line her arms and legs from years of physical training and cave exploration, and she has very obvious abs.

Normally, Sybil can be found in a yellow rain poncho, with the hood up to shield her face and her body surrounded in sleek, yellow fabric. The cloak was a hand-me-down from her mother, and was mostly used for traversing Hoenn's Meteor Falls. Sybil clings to it like a lifeline, though. and feels practically naked without it. Underneath she wears a blue-white striped tank top, a short, dark blue parka, and jean shorts that fall just above her lower thigh. Hiking boots are the norm for footwear, and she has a strange looking bracelet, inscribed with ancient runes, on her right wrist. (5'2"; 120 lbs) Horribly Rough Sketches + + +

Personality:
Cold, blunt, yet surprisingly empathetic, Sybil isn't exactly as mean a girl as she could be. Spending most of her life in caves or museums has really taken out her people skills, and while she has been able to grow extremely close to Pokemon quite quickly it is quite the opposite for humans. Bonds of trust always seem to fall short in her hands, as her constant cynical attitude often pushes people she may have been close to away and her harsh tongue keeps strangers far from her biting wit. Growing up with a historian and an archaeologist has lead Sybil to be a rather knowledgeable girl, at least, when it comes to rocks and dead languages. When it comes to math and even the most basic chemical sciences Sybil is far from a genius, often getting flustered at the thought of having to solve any sort of equation. Ignoring her inability to be a mathematician, she can read most ancient languages, and has a keen eye for rocks and fossils, as well as anything else that piques her interest.

Her thirst for adventure is great, and she is not afraid to get down and dirty when the ideal quest comes along. One particular childhood dream she remembers is her wish to be a treasure hunter, someone who would traverse even the most dangerous cliff-sides in search of the golden wonder of knowledge (and anything else that comes along with it). Sybil often jokes that if there is a rare artifact at stake she would give her life to protect it, and though she may laugh about the idea it is most certainty a true quality to her. Knowledge of the past is important to her, and if anything that could possibly tell her a new historical fact or lesson is in danger Sybil will risk everything to defend it.

Alone, Sybil is quiet and observant, making sure to keep her eyes, ears, and mind open to the world around her. Without the presence of people and the plaguing noises of cities and voices she is ultimately peaceful, almost pleasantly tranquil, and her expression always softens to the point of no recognition. Forests and mountains are her favorite places to sit in think, far from the pollution that plagues towns and cities and the people that gaze down at her with eyes and hearts full of easy-to-notice emotions. She is easily annoyed by loud noises and people who seem to always whine or beg for attention, and can resort to harsh yelling if pushed to her breaking point, which you truly wouldn't want to wish against any man due to her already blunt-way of speaking. She has a biting wit, almost always having something to say back in an argument, and her sense of humor is often dry and normally based around obscure rock-puns. While Sybil may get into fights often, she would never raise her hand in an aggressive manner, knowing very well how much pain a single human can wrought against others with a simple slap.

Sybil is happiest when she is with either her closest friends/family or friendly Pokemon since she feels as though she can always trust them. When completely and utterly relaxed and calm around her friends Sybil can appear to be more playful and kind, maybe even a bit clingy, and if she feels truly safe around you she may hold onto your arm, hand, or clothing. She can be very protective of her closer colleagues, defending them with the entirety of her being, and she has a strong, liberal sense of justice. Despite appearing somewhat cold around strangers, Sybil is easily effected by other's emotions, and can almost seem bipolar in crowds due to the fact that there are just so many feelings to pick up on. Due to these emotional swings she prefers to stay away from large groups of people or Pokemom, much preferring those she has gotten to know or can feel relaxed around. Despite her somewhat antisocial behavior, Sybil is plagued with Monophobia, or the fear of being alone, and because of this she is almost always craving travel partners.

During battles she is focused and cunning, as well as observant, and while she isn't exactly to knowledgeable on battling she knows her Pokemon's strengths and weaknesses and uses them to her advantage. Sybil can spend days simply writing and remembering facts about Pokemon, finding their habits interesting and powers to be quite baffling, and from this form of studying she is able to discover their abilities and flaws with relative swiftness.

Profession: Trainer
Talents: Knowledgeable in many ancient languages. Can distinguish stones and fossils particularly well and has a knack for exploring caves and ruins. Somewhat empathetic as well, making her good at guessing what others are thinking/feeling simply by being near them and observing them.

Biography:
Hailing from Dewford Town in the Hoenn region, Sybil had a rather peculiar childhood. Her parents, though always busy with work, loved to teach her about rocks and fossils and history whenever they had the chance. They loved her dearly, and wished to share their knowledge to make her as bright as can be. Her father, Rodger Goldon, even took her on a few (easier) expeditions when she was old enough to go along, and Eryn, her mother, constantly taught her how to read and write with many ancient scripts. Sybil was instantly attached to cave exploration and treasure hunting, and once she hit the age of eight she instantly began wandering the nearby towns in search of caves to explore and ruins to investigate. Days underground exploring or inside studying didn't exactly give Sybil a lot of choices when it came to friends, leaving her to be somewhat of a loner.

Eventually, her father's work sent him out of town and soon out of the region, leaving Sybil alone to turn over already turned over stones and sigh with boredom as her mother became much more intense towards her work. After finding all she can around the nearby towns and losing interest in watching her mother's back, Sybil turned to a particularly spiritual woman on the island for fun. She visited that elderly woman everyday with questions and thoughts, and in return she managed to learn a bit about the emotions and levels of Pokemon. Though she didn't have much of an interest in Pokemon earlier in life, in her pre-teen years she became very much entranced with their habits and feelings. While exploring caves she also took a moment to glance at the Zubat nests and smile, feeling their serenity though she wasn't sure how. Chris eventually got to know many of the cave and sea Pokemon around town, though never truly caught any of them to train or battle. She simply enjoyed venting to them and watching them in their natural habitat.

One time while exploring the Granite Cave for the twentieth time (probably), Sybil stumbled across an odd egg. Totally abandoned, covered in dust and deathly cold. She took no time to scoop it up and take it home. After allowing it to lay in the warm sun for a few hours it moved, only slightly, and Sybil watched over it daily, caring for it like a mother. The first time it moved was a month after Sybil discovering it, surprisingly. On the same day, Sybil's mother approached her with a ticket; apparently her father had received a spare pass to Kanto by mistake and, with permission from mother of course, wondered if Sybil would like to explore a new region. She took the slip in a heartbeat, nodding enthusiastically, and it seemed the egg could feel her excitement as well, for it started moving to and fro with sudden liveliness.

In the next week, she was packed and shipped off to Pallet Town. Her father had mentioned something about her joining the Pokemon League, and though Sybil felt a bit skeptical due to her lacking knowledge on battling he assured her it would be a good learning experience. On the boat ride over, the egg suddenly hatched, revealing the mysterious Pokemon to be a very, very small Aron. Sybil quickly thought up a name for the small being, Lapis, which would be Latin for stone. He was a gluttonous little thing, and Sybil quickly grew fond of him despite his constant attempts to chew at the steel railings that lined the ship. With a new region to explore, a Pokemon League to attempt, and her first Pokemon under her belt, Sybil decided to look towards the future with ambition.

Shortly after her arrival to Pallet Town, Eryn Goldon received a call from one of Kanto's archaeologists. Apparently, Rodger Goldon had gone missing after a sudden cave collapse in Mount Moon. Sybil has yet to be informed.

Notes/Other: Sybil's father can be used for any plots you have in mind, in case you need some smart fellow or an archaeologist in the future.

For: TO BE NAMED

"D-Don't Worry! Everything is under control!"

Name: Samson Cull
Age: 6
Gender: Male
Height|Weight: 3'3" | 34lbs

Physical Appearance:
Short, thin, and frail, Samson's body is more comparable to a little girl's. Though he is as fit as a fiddle and active to boot, Sam is obviously going to be on the short and skinny side for the rest of his life, much to his despair. Long, curly blonde hair frames his round face and large green eyes peer out from beneath pointed bangs. He will at times dawn glasses during class, further strengthening the largeness of his gaze, and they will often slide down to rest just at the tip of his extremely small nose. Small lips stand out against porcelain skin, and round cheeks flush red at even the slightest mistake. Though his body is otherwise bare of blemishes, he has tattooed magic circles onto the palms of his hand out of curiosity. They have yet to go away, and always seem to cause trouble in the end. Normally dresses in rather cute but fancy outfits, his favorite being a white button up and black overall shorts. He likes to dress cutely, and even favors dressing up in his sister's old gowns and skirts on sunnier days.
---

Race:
Witch, or just a human with magical properties. This hereditary trait was gained from his mother, though her powers lay dormant and unknown.

Bad Habit(s):
When upset or nervous, small magical anomalies appear close by. Most are harmless, like a sudden toad or two appearing on the windowsill, but he has also been able to make thunder storms brew in seconds. Eve tries her best to keep him calm in an effort to stop these sudden magical influxes from harming anyone or thing. Other than that, Samson is very clumsy, especially when it comes to spell casting, so be wary of haywire wand swishes.

Petals: Two
Repercussions:
Spells cast accidentally will normally backfire onto him and will last for a maximum of two hours. Latest backfire had left him as a rabbit for a good hour. It wasn't very fun.
---

Family:
The Cull household is, uh, religious to say the least. Both of the kids' parents are rather obsessed with Christianity, so when they discovered that one of their children was a witch and the other was practically possessed they hightailed them out of the house to live with their Aunt Perry. Aunty Perry is a very eccentric witch with a reputation for putting silly curses on any neighbors who dare tread across her lovely overgrown yard. The siblings adore her.

History:
The Cull household was generally quiet and calm... Until this magic-making child was born. His first days in the ranch-style abode were simply a blur of furniture raising and books vanishing. Mr. and Mrs. Cull thought that their child was possessed by a demon, but the more he grew the less these odd occurrences happened, and besides, Eve seemed to adore him. He was treated normally up until the year he turned four. That's when the... Accident took place. The accident that left Eve in a coma for a good year. Samson, who's development as a witch had come faster than most could expect, tried his best to revive his sister, blaming the whole ordeal on himself, and then one day, on the eve of her eighth birthday, one of his potions succeeded, and Eve was up within moments, trying to scream but failing, eyes bulging at things others could not see.

Well, if that didn't scar a kid then what did? Anyway, in the next year both children were shipped off to Aunt Perry, a chubby woman with a smile that filled her eyes and an array of dead creatures hanging in her kitchen. She trained Samson in the black arts, though eventually she had to send both off to the Academy in an effort to control both his sudden magical outbursts and his sister's poltergeist-ish tendencies.

Other:
Taught himself sign language so he can understand Eve's frantic gestures.

---

"So sorry about my brother... He's a bit clumsy"

Name: Eve Cull
Age: 9
Gender: Female
Height|Weight: 4'4" | 52lbs

Physical Appearance:
Eve is definitely Samson's brother, those who gaze upon the two could probably mistake them for twins if not for Eve's height and oddly pale ways. Her flesh is pure white, so pure that her veins appear dark blue and any bruises and burns stand out almost disgustingly well. Her body is thin and frail, obviously weak, and her cheeks which were once sullen from lack of eating have begun to fill out with youth once again. Odd green-blue eyes stare out from beneath blonde eyelashes, seeming to glow from within with an unnatural light, and long, fluffy blonde hair tangles at her lower back easily. Her knees and legs are often covered in band-aids and bruises from constantly chasing after her bother or simply exploring. Despite her adventurous personality, Eve does enjoy dressing up in girly dresses, and especially loves to wear her nightgowns whenever she can. She has a single magical tattoo on her right shoulder, given to her by Aunt Perry in an effort to keep ghosts away while she sleeps.
---

Race:
Human, but like a haunted human. She can see ghosts and they always seem to gather around her, appearing as odd, colorful lights which she calls Wisps or Wispys. They react to her emotions which often leads to telekinetic accidents.

Bad Habit(s):
Frustration and embarrassment often leads to a wind-swept room. The ghosts that surround her all react to negative emotions, and when Eve is feeling fussy they react violently, lifting papers and books and, depending on how angry she is, bigger objects like chairs and desks. Though it doesn't happen as often as the telekinetic tantrums, Eve also has a slight tendency to become slightly possessed. A possessed Eve is usually very unresponsive and depressed, yet entirely too driven to escape public eye, so she can often be seen getting up in the middle of class to hide in the nearest closet until she is able to dispel the unwanted entity.

Petals: Four

Repercussions:
Eve's repercussions often lead her to falling asleep very suddenly. She grows extremely drowsy and irritable, and then can ultimately be found napping at her desk or simply laying in the middle of the hall, out like a light. A rarer repercussion is when she is actually a repellent of spirits for a few minutes, and though she pretends to enjoy this side effect it ultimately leaves her feeling helpless and alone. They are eventually drawn back though, and the whole cycle begins again.
---

History:
TBA

Other:
The same accident that gave Eve her supernaturally desirable body also seemed to take away her ability to speak. Eve is mute and communicates through writing and sign language.

For: Unfinished Update of Violet

Basic Information

Name:
Violet Sūn

Nickname/Alias/Etc:
Vi, Vi-Girl, Wisteria

Gender:
Female

Age:
16

Height:
5'3"

Weight:
110lbs

Type:
New Student

Appearance

Hair Color:
Black

Eye Color:
Heterochromic; one brown eye and one pale purple eye

Ethnicity:
Chinese-American

Physical Appearance:
Violet is most easily compared to a doll. Short, lithe, and fair, and if not for the very noticeable blemish that coats her flesh she may have been quite popular in her old school. She's of obvious Asian decent as evident from her narrow eyes, and tanned flesh, and due to her petite frame many mistake her for a younger girl much to her annoyance. Violet, despite her obvious physical flaws, does carry herself high and mighty. She waltzes across the land with the grace of a princess, nose raised and eyes closes, and the hint of a smile is always shadowing her lips, even in the dreariest of days. Vi's face is almost always bare, makeup being too much if a hassle for her to deal with, and thanks to a thirty minute daily routine she is well kept and always hygienic. Or... Well, as hygienic as someone with purple goo covering their face can be. Violet stands at about six feet three inches and she weighs a mere one hundred and ten pounds. Her body is kept fit through various daily exercises she plans, and picking up a sport or two in the past definitely helped keep her fit as a fiddle.

Despite her thinness, though, Violet has a surprisingly round and childish face. Added doll lips and a small nose fails to make her look any older, much to Vi's distress, and constant attempts to strengthen her jaw line and angle out her cheeks have all seemed to fail in the end. Her most notable feature may be her angled, heterochromic eyes. Due to the purple "corruption" that had spread across her flesh, her right eye had been affected tremendously, turning the iris and pupil a very light purple. The eye is the main cause of many of Vi's headaches due to its sensitivity to the light and the many hallucinations it conjures up when ignored for too long. Vi's other eye is a simple brown color, and it often narrows when she smiles or laughs too hard. Despite her disdain for the roundness of her face, Vi can't help but love her own expressiveness, and she often tries her best to smile as genuinely as she can because it makes her feel prettier.

Violet's body is small and lithe, yet extremely weak. Though she has trained in a few martial arts and has been exercising daily for the past three years, it has yet to show any growth in her strength. She constantly blames it on the corruption, claiming that it simply used up all her muscle to grow stronger. Other than being weak, her body is also rather shapeless, again enforcing her child-like appearance, and she is cursed with dainty hands and feet. Though she lacks the power to lift others, Vi is extremely light on her feet and relies on her speed and evasiveness during times when her powers simply don't wish to work. Her flesh, other than the corruption, is mostly blemish free, and it tans easily despite appearing porcelain during colder months. Vi's hair is long, reaching her lower back, and glossy black in color. In the sunlight it may appear to be purple, and due to it's annoying length Vi always keeps it in lower ponytails or messy buns.

Those who simply pass Violet in the street can easily notice what she calls "The Corruption" coating the entire right side of her body. Thought its appearance ultimately relies on her emotions, it is most often described as being sticky in texture and geometric in looks. It moves every so slightly, and touching it can cause acidic-like burns. In the past Violet often recalls it being much worse, almost like an ugly infection, but it has since simmered down to simply decorate her flesh in swirls of purple.

Corruption Appearance by Emotion:

Content - Simple, geometric pattern (think Aztec design). Barely moves. Violet's favorite appearance.

Happiness - Energetic swirls, bubbles slightly. Moves actively though not enough to draw too much attention.

Love/Curiosity - Lacy appearance. Moves slightly. Looks very much like a tattoo in this state.

Sadness - Faint purple coats corrupted flesh while darker purple circles appear and vanish like bubbles. Moves actively or not at all.

Anger/Battle Mode - Fully purple forearms with tiger stripe-like remaining swirls. Moves actively. Purple energy appears when Violet is using her powers.

Violet Battle Mode

Attire:
Violet prefers clothes that don't rub up uncomfortably against her deformity, so she can often be found in short sleeves or tank tops, even in the dead of winter. Her style is best described as "cool, comfortable, and affordable", and thus she can be somewhat of a slob on days when she doesn't care for her appearance. She enjoys her gold and red cheongsam shirt, finding the material comfortable and floral design to be quite captivating, and when it comes to comfortable leg wear she can normally be found in black skinny jeans or cream sweatpants. Due to her appreciation of the color red, she can normally be found in differing rogue outfits, and most of her shoes and hair clips are scarlet in color as well. As for shoes, Vi loves her simple red slipons or just plain black converse. Honestly, if she could go barefoot for the rest of her life she could, shoes just aren't that interesting to her.

Personality

Innate & Outward Personality:
Imagine a small child, about seven or eight, opening presents on Christmas Day, beaming and laughing and crying with joy over how great Santa is and how amazing their presents are. Now turn that kid into a lovely, short sixteen year old and you'll have Violet. If her face isn't cheerful than you must know something must be wrong, that's how happy Vi is all the time. She laughs at even the most stupid jokes, and smiles at even the rudest folks, and her love for life and living things just seems to emanate from her like the acid that coats her skin. Thanks to her pureness when it comes to living, Vi can be considered somewhat of a social butterfly often walking up to unknown strangers who look down just to say hello and ask if anything is wrong. She loves having friends, and she loves to make sure people are as OK as she is. It's hard to keep up such a happy attitude, though, and despite her love of people Vi is actually an introvert, making it difficult for her to stay energized in public situations. WIP

Hobbies/Interests:
Painting, paper folding, flower pressing, gardening, video games.

Skills/Talents:
Violet is an artist before anything else. Her love for painting and drawing runs deep, and she can often be fund in a scenic area around the school, sketching anything and everything with a precise hand and concentrated eyes. Many of her works can be found hanging around her old family home, and she has gotten much better with age. She also enjoys origami, the art of paper folding, and can make a variety of knick-knacks with just a bit of paper. She is, of course, relatively good at martial arts, though her lack of muscle really does do her in at times. She is especially talented in Baguazhang Martial Arts, a type of fighting that relies of quick jabs and evasive maneuvers, and this type of fighting is very prominent on the battle field. She can speak Mandarin and Hakka, two different varieties of the Chinese language, and is currently studying French just for fun.

Prized Possession:
Journal full of flower pressings and sketches. She calls it her "Dream Journal" though she doesn't really keep any entries about her dreams within.

Relationships

Abilities

Power Class:
Elemental & Super-System

Power:
The Corruption
Named this by Violet, corruption takes the shape of the purple energy that coats her flesh and fills her eye. The corruption acts as both a blessing and a curse for Vi. While it grants her superpowers, it also seems to drive her into a hard to control madness. Whispers from an unknown source fill her head as she lies in silence and things and people who are not truly there appear in her tainted eye. The Corruption's true origins are unknown, though it can be assumed to be some sort of infection, either chemical or biological. The corruption is mostly affected by Violet's emotion, making it extremely difficult to control in extraneous situations. Besides superpowers, the corruption also blesses Vi with an intolerance to toxins and a rougher exterior skin.

---

Poison Manipulation
Violet is able to control the toxic material that is secreted from the corruption. When in battle it seems to curl from her hands like fire, and she throws it about like bolts of energy. The toxins itself are extremely painful to touch, causing chemical burns to those stupid enough to get hit, but they are not corrosive enough to melt pure metal in an instant. The power and heat of the poison relies mostly on Violet's concentration, the more focused she is on hurting her opponent the more corrosive it becomes.

Solid Poison Constructs
Violet can take the corruption and bend it into helpful, though toxic constructs if needed. She uses this ability most as it allows her to create monstrous appendages if needed. The purple toxins gather together and clot to form hardened shields or discs when in need of harder projectiles.

Limits:
Violet is obviously still getting used to her abilities, meaning she is rather bad at controlling the corruption well. She falls pray to hallucinations and sickness often, and must take a break after even a training session. Her projectiles are also very small and due to her weak body she isn't able to throw them very far, and when making shields or strengthening her arms with monstrous appendages they are often much to weak to hold up against water-based attacks and heavy projectiles. Also, if she attempts to make the toxins to hot or corrosive she has a possibility of burning herself.

Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
Emotion-influenced
Causes hallucinations after overuse
Saps energy
Hard to control wip

5'8"

140 lbs

Powers & Abilities

Power Name:
Photon/Light Manipulation

Power Description:
I have the ability to manipulate light, easy as that.

Abilities:
Due to lack of training, my abilities are a bit... Haywire, to say the least. I naturally attract light, kind of like a glow-in-the-dark sticker! Put me under a lamp for a few moments and then flick it off and you'll see me, clear as day, emitting a white-yellow light from beneath my skin. I have yet to fully understand why this happens, but let's just say I would make a perfect roommate if you need a nightlight to sleep. Light manipulation is where I have most of my knowledge. Every since puberty I've been able to generate light with slight strain. A snap of the finger can summon a spark, a waving motion can produce a beam, and all this light is for me to control!

Moving the light is easy, it flows like water if I concentrate enough, but I can also solidify it to produce shapes, projectiles, and platforms that I also control. This might be my main form of defense, as these shapes are indeed just solidified light. They can burst into a blinding flash if dropped and cause serious damage if set off too close to someone. Other then that, I can also bend the light, allowing slight visual warping and invisibility to me and those in my general vicinity. A slight movement in the peripheral, dousing a lamp's light for a moment, or even a made up shadow are easy to create if I'm concentrating enough, and I'm sure I can produce more illusions with the right amount of light present.

As for invisibility, it is easiest to do to myself then to do to others. A shield of light is key, as without it the trick is basically useless, and with a few hand motions I can bend the shield to render myself and those within invisible. We are completely gone to the naked eye, but we will still emit sounds and appear on any heat-detection devices. I am also only able to use this skill is we are stood still, movement can very easily disrupt the shield and since light isn't solid when bent, you'll walk right out into the open. Other than that, my ability allows me with few useless skills, such as producing colors from thin air and making nifty, cordless lamps for those who ask nicely.

Drawbacks & Weaknesses:
- The dark is my one big fear. Being extinguished, put out for ever, it is so easy to be blotted out. Darkness can overwhelm my light if I am not careful. If I am stuck in a dark room for over five hours I become unable to generate my own light, and any attempts can overexert my body.

- Over using my power can lead to painful body and head aches. Creating solid light and bending it are the two main factors of these painful contractions.

- I am not exactly in control of my powers. I have been known to glow brightly or even vanish if emotionally unstable. Don't get too close if I start getting mad, your eyes are more valuable then my feelings.

- No true offensive power. Blinding/distracting people and hiding are my main abilities. And I'm no thick-skinned strong girl either; I bruise easier than a peach.

- I'm always extremely hot, even in the dead of winter. My hands and feet burn like I have a fever, and my face is almost always flushed from the heat. I keep many paper fans around for when it gets unbearable.

About You

Family:
- Father: Julian Edwardo Rios, 47
- Mother: Kayla Smith Rios, 45
- Brother: Ross Kyle Rios, 22, estranged

Personal Statement:
Without truly realizing it, fireflies have always been a big part of my life. Okay, that might be a bit weird to start off with, but trust me it's important! Growing up in New Orleans, right on the edge of the bayou, nature was always around me. The humid summers always brought an abundance of mosquitos, spiders, and, of course, fireflies. Small, glowing orbs that skimmed the water and clung to the grass right outside my house. I would run through the waist-high turf on those cloudy nights, ignoring my mother's pleas to get out of the mud and let her check for ticks, just to see those bugs leap up and coat the star-filled sky with yellow and green. The were always brief in their arrival, but every summer since I could remember their appearance are as clear as day, stuck in my mind like an oil painting.

I suppose I was inspired by those gleaming insects. They were always... Free. Living the high life, if only for a few days. The early summer nights were theirs and theirs alone; and their beauty and grace always humbled me. My father took notice of my fascination, and took to calling me his "little firefly" ever since the appearance of my little mutation. As I grew and my powers started to develop, I took lessons from the fireflies. I let their lights stain my skin, leaving gleaming dots among my dark flesh, and watched as they generated their glowing abilities with a sense of repetition. They taught me how to conjure the gleams they produced, and showed me the many ways my body differed from that of normal humans. They were my inspiration, my reason for waking on those muggy nights and walking aimlessly through the high brush, ignorant of the other bugs that may threaten my lessons.

My family was my other main source of joy. My mother and father were the true ideal couple, they loved like no one else could. It was as if every day was the first day they met, and every night they would lay with me and discuss the beauty of the world and myself and our family as a whole. I never knew any of my grandparents, were never introduced to either side of the family, but I remember seeing letters in the mail with unfamiliar first names and my last. They were always scraped, along with the ads and magazines that the mailmen would bring from time to time. I taught myself not to question why, and simply made excuses for my folks. Everyone has their secrets, after all. Despite that, I also have (had?) an older brother, Ross. He went off to join the army when I was fourteen, and to tell the truth we never really got along. He called my fascination with stars and fireflies "weird" and "stupid", so I in turned said that his love of video games made him a "friendless loser". Those were how the big fights usually started, anyway. To say I don't miss him is a lie, though, I would kill to see his scuffy face again.

My school life leading up to PITY was rather uneventful. I was an average student in science, below average in English, and above average in math. My varying report cards never really affected me the way they should. I found school to be the less stressful part of my life, while staying in a group of friends became my number one cause of panic. I could never hold good relationships with people as I am always described as being "weirdly cheerful and unnaturally distant". I could never really wear my emotions as clearly as I wished, and my face was always smiling, so I suppose most people thought I was fake. I managed to snag a few lovers in my freshman and sophomore years of high school, but each ended awkwardly and without much fuss. My parents simply say that I am just a bit too lethargic when it came to conversation, and I guess they're right in the end.

My mutation first began to appear after my first period at the age of twelve. My mother was discussing something in my room, me lounging lazily on my bed, and after she finished speaking and rose to leave I requested she shut off my lights. The iridescent bulb flicked off in an instant, but instead of the room turning dark my skin began to visibly glow. My mother's reaction was a bit harsh, she screamed and fell back, but after a few moments she rose to ask if I hurt anywhere. Stunned by my own glow and doubly fascinated, I shook my head, and then simply asked,

"Does this happen to a lot of people?"

My parents were slightly distraught over me being a mutant, but they each got over it in their own way. The kids at school, however, either never found out or began to avoid me. Keeping my mutation a secret was easier said than done. A girlfriend I had managed to score at the age of sixteen found out one sleepless night and spread the news all around school the next day. I became somewhat of an outcast, but it didn't really bother me too much. Loneliness is a heavy burden to bear, however, and the fear of abandonment began to set in after a year of eating lunch alone in the bathroom.

Back-stories aside, I must point out that I have many interests to share. Astrology, painting, and algebra are my main favorites. The thought of tracking stars and forming colors always gets my creative juices flowing. As for math, well, I've always had a knack for equations and numbers. No use hating it, right? As for training my abilities, I've always had a bit of trouble controlling myself. Finding this school seemed like pure luck, and I'm hoping that this application may make me seem fit to attend. I need help, and hopefully PITY can spare some room to give me some.

Thin-faced, gentle, and starry-eyed, Morgan is a pretty person with many nice attributes. Standing at a mere 5'6" and weighing over 120 lbs, they are slight in appearance. Dark skin stands out well against her mostly white outfits, and a curling, black afro frames her face. Loves to wear flowing dresses and is always hesitant to go out with shoes on. Can often be found with a cigarette on her lip and long, fake nails adorning her hands.

Name: Morgana "Morgan" De Blanc
Gender: Genderfluid (She/They)
Age: 25
Home: 3032 Jean-Luc Boulevard

Orientation: Pansexual
Significant Other: None

Occult: Witch
Inherited Ability: Voodoo
Special Ability: Future Sight
Hidden Ability: Air Magic

Occupation: Works full time at an incense and candles shop, Wicks and Sticks, located on main street. Also they will at times play at Jazz bars for extra cash.

Family: The only person still alive in Morgan's family would be their father, Samuel De Blanc. Now retired from his job as a cop, Samuel lives in the poorer regions of New Orleans, right by the bayou, and Morgan offers him any support he is in need of. Though he is aware of his child's and late wife's powers, he himself is a mere human.

Personality: Morgan is the epitome of an airhead. Day-dreamy in both appearance and attitude, she wanders the streets as if half-asleep and always seems to fall asleep in particular situations. Despite this, Morgan is always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and always seems to have a glittering smile on her lips. Morgan always puts their friends first, and as such can often forget to care for herself. Sometimes she may forget to eat, other times she may go outside without a shirt, it all depends on how sleepy/lost she is that day. Though they are an airhead, Morgan is far from truly stupid, and when faced with a serious situation Morgan will attempt to find the most helpful solution.

Though she is sweet to her friends, Morgan can be considered mean-spirited to strangers who approach without reason. When annoyed she gains a much more biting persona, chewing out those she just can't find in her heart to trust at first. She also gains this abrasive nature when around the more "regal" vampires in town, as she blames their rule for the death of her mother. Besides that, she is very childish, and a trickster at heart. Those she really can't stand are often subjected to pranks and practical jokes.

While they do give off the impression of being someone who handles emotions well, underneath her cheerful, dimwitted exterior Morgan is rather distant and apathetic. She has trouble understanding when someone else is sad or hurt, and though they truly wish to help they often find that they just can't due to not understanding. She often falls into states of depression due to not understanding her own emotions. She at times feels as though she is emotionless, just a puppet on a shelf, and will seem to disconnect herself from the world by hiding in her bedroom or bathroom.

History: Born and raised in New Orleans, Morgan has always loved the rich and colorful city she grew up in. Her family was relatively well off as Elizabeth Le Blanc, her mother, ran a popular diner down on main street. They lived in a decent home and spoiled their child with books and toys whenever possible. Samuel worked most nights as a cop, so Morgan was often left home alone, not that she minded. She loved to have the house to herself, to explore the creaking floor-boarded rooms and read mom's weird books. One day, however, things went horribly wrong.

It was a Sunday, the only day the whole family had time together, and they had decided to spend a whole day outside, picnicking, adventure, until night came. It was the midsummer then, and the fireflies were plentiful. Morgan, only thirteen at the time, would sit and catch them with her father. Her mother had watched curiously, and then with a sudden grin she waved her hands slowly, wind forming and circling between her palms. The fireflies were pulled into the gentle gust, and a light show appeared within her mother's hands. It was meant to be a simple show of magic, but those watching saw it as so much more. Morgan woke up the next day to her father crying, and the living room torn up.

It was as if a wind storm had thrown everything around the room into a state of havoc. She quietly asked where mom was, and her father simply pointed towards the broken front door and nodded. Morgan locked herself in her room for three days, and on the fourth she emerged with a soft smile and tired eyes. After that, she acted as if nothing happened. High school came and went, and with no desire to attend college she went straight to work. Eventually, Morgan moved out from living with her father to stay with Azreal and Neffy.

Occult History: Morgan became aware of her abilities after her first period. She had been teetering cautiously on a step stool while searching for a book to read in her mother's study, when suddenly she twisted her ankle and fell. Instead of hitting the floor, however, she found herself carefully lowered to the earth by what could only be a gust of wind. When she explained the incident to her mother, she was met with happy tears and pats on the head. After that, Morgan was introduced to her ancestors in the cemetery, and her mother carefully explained the Le Blanc family's history.

The Le Blanc witches were voodoo masters at heart. Hexes and control was their game, and their coven was once much more plentiful and powerful in the past. Now, most have been killed due to their rule-breaking, and lay forever tormented within lavender filled graves. It was a sad tale, but Morgan took it to heart and vowed to uphold the Le Blanc name to the best of her ability.

Her precognition abilities first appeared during her last year of middle school, after the death of her mother. The scenes normally play in her dreams, and are often vague and hard to remember.

Occult Status: Seer and Coven Novice

Additional Info: Morgan has what most would call a familiar, though the pet is not used in any magical ways. Qrow is, as you might have guess, Morgan's pet crow. He is an intelligent bird who resides within her room and can often be seen flying around town. Other than that, Morgan is a talented pianist who is well known on Main Street for her jazzy melodies.

Willowy, tall, and sharp, Luce looks as flamboyant as he truly is. He is unnaturally gorgeous, with glowing skin, deep, green eyes, and red hair that alway seems to hang over half of his face Lipstick, blush, and mascara always seem to adorn his appearance, and he can often be found wearing skirts and dresses during the hotter months. He is never seen without a pair of fashionable high heels or his favorite black, wide-rimmed sunhat.
Usual outfit

Name: Luce Oleander
Gender: Male (He/Him)
Age: 315
Home: 4660 Holden Hills
Orientation: Pansexual Aromantic
Significant Other: Countless past "lovers", none now.

Occult: Vampire
Inherited Ability: Persuasion
Special Ability: Mind Reading
Hidden Ability: Telekinesis

Occupation: Luce is the owner of Club Plasma, the most popular feeding ground for vampires!

Family: Any family Luce had remaining probably died a long, long time ago. His closer family had been killed by terrified townspeople, and Luce had barely escaped with his life.

Personality: Sinister, flamboyant, and ruthless, Luce is a perfect ruler in all sense of the word. He thirsts for power and control, and finds great enjoyment in causing trouble and hurting those who could possibly hurt him. While he isn't the strongest vampire alive, he is definitely smart enough to hold his own in New Orleans. Though he isn't at the top of the food chain yet, Luce always seems to reach for the stars, and will always attempt to one-up someone who could possibly be a threat to his title. It may be very hard to discover Luce's true blood lust, however, as when he is not prepared to make a kill or deploy a scheme, he is extremely sweet, polite, and well-spoken.

Of course, his flashing grins and sparkling eyes may give away his real self, Luce tries his best to appear as "human" as he can in front of strangers and enemies. It's hard, however, due to him being very easily agitated. He slips often when faced with annoying people or situations, and as such tries to avoid those who could possibly reveal his sparkling fangs. Usually, when faced with attractive new strangers, he flirts big time, and seems to have no respect for personal space. Despite all of the horrid things Luce is, he does have a single soft spot. Young children and animals always seem to be safe from his glaring eyes. This could be because they remind him of his past, or perhaps her merely feels that killing those who haven't experienced life yet is too cruel.

Other than that, Luce is a coward who dislikes fighting head on, and he would much rather save his own hide than someone else's. He's a brilliant cook and drink-mixer, and can often be found shopping for new clothes on main street when not working at the club.

History: Born in France to an influential vampire family, Luce was unaware of the tragedy that would strike his family. He grew up in a big castle, and spent most days playing with his younger sister or bothering the many, many servants mother and father brought in daily. He was the Oleander family's princess, and in those days he had been so happy. On his sixteenth birthday, however, their home was stormed by terrified townspeople. The many servants that had been "hired" by his parents were all truly stolen daughters and sons and wives and husbands, and the town reacted with fire and vengeance. Luce hide within the castle walls, and merely watched as his younger sister was slain by the townspeople. He barely escaped with his life, and wandered the French landscape without a plan in his mind. Eventually, somewhere at the beginning of the 19th century, he became fed up with simply wandering and with no where else to turn sneaked onto the first boat towards America.

In New Orleans, Luce found that there were many vampires to relate to, and managed to make a living by opening a club for humans and occult alike. He moved into a ritzy house, and with power on the mind he aimed his ambitions high. He was ready to live in New Orleans like a king, and he would achieve power no matter what.

Occult History: Luce was aware of his abilities from a young age, but has used them mostly without guidance and training for a few years now. He is somewhat unskilled.

Occult Status: Vampire Nobility

Additional Info: Many of the maids and servants in his home don't appear to be all there. Their eyes are dull and they barely react if someone attempts to speak to them.

Name: Inaya Saab
Age: 27
Profession/Trade: Military Medic (Trained);Therapist and Herbalist

Skills/traits:
Serene and patient can always be used to describe Inaya. Years on years of dealing with children and Pokemon alike has given the still budding doctor the patience of a nun. It takes quite a lot of complaining and whining to really push her buttons, but while she is quite calm at first it isn't unnatural to see her act a bit haughty and stubborn in certain situations. Despite that, Inaya is a hard-working, genius individual with plenty of knowledge on medical sciences and biology. She is extremely perceptive of situations, and finds it easy to stay collected and calm during stressful situations (as long as she feels she is relatively safe). Her levels of empathy seem to raise above most, and she makes for a perfect listener to those who feel stressed or mentally exhausted, and despite her cold exterior Inaya is surprisingly very selfless and caring towards those in need.

Despite all that, though, Inaya is unmistakably cold and distant to strangers and people she deems untrustworthy. She is naturally cynical, and often has trouble trusting even the youngest child at times due to these trust issues. While she is normally calm and patient, as said before, Inaya can sometimes loose herself and end up insulting those who really rattle her. She is sharp-tongued and stubborn when she doesn't even wish to be, and though she may appear intimidating and mean during the argument she quickly looses face and can fall into a slight depression after realizing how awful she had thought herself to be. Going off this, it is quite easy to tell that Inaya isn't a fan of herself. She has intense self-esteem issues and finds it hard to believe when others even attempt to compliment her. The only thing she has faith in is her medical skills. Other then that, Inaya is physically weaker compared to most, and fears failure and abandonment due to her family life.

Equipment:
-Thick leather corset (Acts as armor for chest and torso)
-Leather belts (2) holding:
~Used Pokeballs (1)
~Energy roots (2)
~Heal powder (2)
~Revival herb (1)
---
-Leather shoulder bag holding:
~Basic medical supplies
~White notebooks, half full
~Brass flask
~Various potions (8)
~Provisions
~ Makeup kit
---
Her weapon of choice is a baton. Though she absolutely despises fights, it is best to be armed in case of a dire situation. The baton is about the length of her forearm and heavy enough to knock the wind out of someone if swung hard enough.

Appearance:
Inaya is a girl of average looks. With tanned skin, narrow eyes, and plush lips, she could be considered a natural beauty, though that doesn't mean she goes anywhere without a thick coat of makeup to hide any imperfections. Her hair is dyed an extremely light pink, though her darker roots have begun to grow in again, and it is often tied back in a loose ponytail or bun. She has a slim, tall figure, weighing about 135 lbs and standing at about 5'6". Inaya takes pride in her appearance in most situations, but has taken a more homely approach for the mission at hand, wearing a rather simple outfit of a leather corset, her usual white coat, and striped, black and white pants. Her boots are worn and comfortable, and they were chosen due to their easy mobility.

Personality:
Inaya is a sharp woman, a sharp woman with more of an interest in peace and quiet then the rumble of the city. She strives for perfection in herself and her hobbies, and as such has quite a harsh image of herself. Though she loathes herself to the extreme, Inaya does realize her mental prowess is intensely stronger than most, and likes to think of herself as something close to a genius. That isn't enough for her, though, as Inaya is always looking for experiences to inspire and help her along her journey to help others. She isn't as perfect as she would like to be.

Though Inaya wishes to use her smarts to help others and help out the world a bit, she finds herself to be quite cynical towards people. She has trouble trusting strangers and often gives new comers the cold shoulder. She's much more akin to an emotionless doll in appearance; she is distant and vague in the way she speaks to those she doesn't trust. Getting comfortable with her freezing nature can be difficult, but once you manage to break her shell she is much more kind and decent. She is more maternal than she appears as well, and finds it to be no issue to protect those in need during dire situations. Inaya is, much like her Ralts Celty, also very empathetic towards others. She doesn't like to pity people, but she does wish to help them out by listening to their issues and figuring out why they would be feeling so glum or mad.

Inaya is quite different in a business setting, however. She acts much more professional and less distant in her office, keeping a soft smile on her face as she helps those in need, whether it be prescribing medicine for mental issues or devising herbal remedies to reduce a cough or a rash.

Inaya is very curiously interested in cute things, and has a soft spot for children and young Pokemon. She can often be found writing in one of her many journals, trying to decode a new idea she had thought up or recording new data she had discovered perhaps a few moments before. She is always looking forward to discovering new, unknown science facts while out exploring, and she hopes that this new job will introduce her to many new secrets yet unknown to her. She is curious, maybe overly so, and finds her passion to be a wish to uncover new facts for the world to see. Though her mental capabilities are strong, Inaya herself is very weak and gets winded very easily. She hates fighting, finding it much easier to talk things out rather than spill blood, and can be very stubborn at times if things don't go her way.

Background:
The daughter of a lower class family, Inaya didn't have an ideal childhood. Though her mind thirsted for knowledge and exploration, she often found herself stuck in her musty room, flipping through pages of a children's book she had read at least five hundred times before while her parents attempted to pick up the remains of their shattering relationship. From a young age Inaya knew she would have a future in science. She simply ate up whatever knowledge she could obtain, and her main motivation to pursue her dreams came from her mother. Her mother, Abalah Nagi Saab, was once a brilliant engineer, but a mistake took place sometime before Inaya was born, and many people were hurt because of it. Whether it was a faulty engine piece or a loose bolt was unknown to Inaya, her mother refused to talk about the mistake that ruined her career. Inaya, instead of prying, used her mother's anguish as inspiration towards her own goals.

Sometime during Inaya's pre-teen years, her parents split. Her father, Moham Saab, was a well-known drunk around their neighborhood, and would often verbally abuse Abalah after coming home from a night of drinking. Inaya was told once that he had been a much better man, but Abalah's mistake cost him his reputation,a nd also made him the only source of income for the house. Inaya was frightened by the thought of having someone you once loved suddenly rear up and hurt you, then leave you. The very idea of it made her shake with fear, so as a result she turned to hiding behind cold faces and embracing her emotionless attitude.

Inaya graduated high school with high marks, and found herself with a good scholarship to one of the better medical schools in the city. She studied hard, rarely finding times for partying, friends, and family, and acquired countless part time jobs to repay her remaining debts. She took up garden-keeping as a hobby, which was the birth of her eventual interest in herbal medicines, and often found herself studying psychology while glances through her medical books. Inaya took many different courses with discovering new things in mind, and one took her out to a military camp, where she was professionally trained by a military nurse and doctor. She took all of her lessons to heart, and left college with many experiences under her belt.

Sadly, Inaya found it difficult to find a stable job. Her name was well known around some of the city, a name that co-mingled with the word 'failure'. The hospitals she came to turned her away with the fear of her accidentally hurting someone like her mother, and in the end she was left with nothing more then a musty office in the middle of downtown and the remaining money from her part time jobs. And with failure looming over her head she huffed out a sigh and whispered to herself,

"Time to get to work."

She built up her office and her name, deciding to settle on a career as a therapist and herbalist for those in need. She first started off helping those for a small fee, just to build up some confidence and publicity before she started charging higher fees to keep herself afloat. She became well known as a decent therapist and an ideal, cheap medicinal herbalist.

"I am merely seeking the truth, you see."

Name: Dani "Gata" Salazar
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Occupation: College Student; Forensics Major; Daycare Assistant

Skills
Gata had always dreamed of being a detective or a forensics scientist, ever since she was young. Books, countless open binders and pages, swarm her mind, with images of crime scenes and bodies plastered among the wordy parchments. She is extremely knowledgeable of the human body and seems to always catch if something is amiss with people around her. While she is no doctor, she is surely well versed in common first aid thanks to her ventures as a daycare assistant, and the one medical sciences class she took in high school. Gata is also in possession of some very keen eyes. Clues rarely fail to slip past her vision, and she always strives to find the truth, no matter the consequences. She is also skilled at caring for children, especially younger ones.

Growing up in a rather harsh Mexican city, Gata has always had to rely on her street smarts to survive. She took quite a few self defense courses in high school and college, and is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish with relative ease. To this day she still practices slef defense and yoga, making her extremely agile and quick. She loves people, and as such has some decent communication skills. Her way of talking, though normally sweet if she likes you, can easily be swapped, though, if the group is in need of an interrogation. Gata is sharp tongued and scary when she needs to be, and those who don't wish to be cut should stay on her good side.

Flaws
Gata, despite her usually clear and bright mind, is prone to bouts of depression and anxiety. The apocalypse has left her incredibly shaken, and often spends her night sleeplessly staring at the stars or her hands, wondering how she could continue from where she is at. She has extreme break downs in some cases, though she has started to try and control them as of recently. Though she has some self defense training, Gata is extremely poor with firearms and would much rather avoid conflict than actually dive head first into a fight.

Gata has a very intense fear of storms and water and is also unable to swim. A bad experience at the beach are the reason for these phobias. While she is not the weakest girl out there, Gata isn't as strong as she would like, relying more on speed and out thinking her problems than simply pushing through them. Though her mind goes into overdrive in stressful situations, she is easily distracted, and when things don't seem to want to go her way she can become overly stubborn and bratty.

Firearm proficiency: 1, Gata has had little to no experience with firearms.

Weapons:
- Iron-bladed shovel, extremely worn and slightly rusted from age.
- Pocket knife, the blade reads Gata, and looks as though it was poorly engraved years ago.

Personality:
Dani "Gata" Salazar is always smiling around other people. She smiles in the worst of situations, and laughs lightly, trying to have other join her cheerfulness as to keep them from despairing. The worst thing to do in a dire situation is to lose hope, and Dani knows this. Hope is the only thing she has left to cling to, and she grasps it tightly, smiling all the way. She finds weakness in getting angry for no reason, or crying, and thus she bottles up her emotions, keeping up her cheery mask as the world burns. As one may guess, this often leads to Gata feeling very drained or stressed, though she never reveals or tired face to anyone. No one should burden her own anxiety but herself, after all. And so, she playfully teases those she is close to, tells light jokes and old stories, and just generally tries to keep everyone's spirits up. Gata often clings to her closer friends, having a strange interest in physical contact, and likes to think of herself as a very maternal character towards them.

As true to her old, student ways, Gata is extremely curious towards things she doesn't know. She thirsts for knowledge and truths, and can often be found studying the many journals or textbooks she manages to find. Gata also keeps quite a few observation journals herself, their pages filled with details of the apocalypse and the creatures that roam the empty streets. She is somewhat sly to those she doesn't entirely trust, and can sometimes come off as a bit stand off-ish and blunt to strangers if they don't interest/feel safe to her,. Due to her severe stress and depression, Gata is prone to episodes of insomnia, and can often be found writing or reading when she can't sleep. Though she has managed to keep her break downs under control recently, sometimes the stress can get to be too much for the woman, and she will simply "shut down", curling away into a far corner where hopefully no one would find her until she feels better.

In emergency situations, Gata, through her aching head and beating heart, always tries to keep her eyes peeled for solutions and clues. Her ambitions to be a detective have never seemed to leave her mind, and with those wishes in mind she will always try to seek the truth, and the way to safety. Those who treat her badly, or those who threaten her or her friends will most likely catch a glimpse of "Interrogator Gata", the Gata with harsh eyes and cat-like grin. The Gata who's words cut like knives and who's hands seem to shake with a hidden rage. With that Gata in mind, do try to keep on her cheerful side. While she will never, ever take one's life without reason, it is best to be safe than sorry, right?

Backstory:
Dani Salazar was born and raised in Tamaulipas, Mexico, a sea side city that wasn't exactly known for having welcoming locals. Living in a small home with her useless mother, Luisa, and a tabby cat named Cielo, Dani hoped from a young age to escape the city and live in America, hopefully safe from the bullies that normally threaten her life. She also gained an interest in science and detective stories at a young age, which must be the key to her love for forensics in the future. While living in Tamaulipas, Dani often found herself getting sucked into local junior gangs by mistake, though not for the reasons you may think. They paid her, actually, to run errands and send messages, and though the jobs themselves may be somewhat fatal towards her life Dani never did like to turn down cash.

In high school, she started becoming a bit more defensive around other people, taking classes to ensure her safety all while studying twice as hard with a hope of getting into a decent college far, far away from this god awful town. Time passes, and she manages to secure a scholarship to New Mexico's State University. She waved goodbye to Mexico at the age eighteen, and hopes to never look back at that awful city behind her.

Las Cruces, the main campus at NMSU, was where she spent most her time. Dani studied her brains out, working twice as hard as students usually did, and was awarded with decent test scores and knowledge that filled her brain with bliss and her heart with pride. She found work at an old, homely day care, looking after darling children during her off days from school. The pay was great, and her co-workers were all so friendly and kind, it felt as though she had left all her worries behind in that damned city. It felt as though she was finally where she belonged.

And then everything crumpled around her. The panic started during her afternoon shift at the daycare. It happened quickly, too quickly even. She had failed to notice the thing that had staggered in, thinking it to be just one of her co-workers, but when it suddenly sprung onto a child all Hell broke loose. The door, they always left the front door open, that was the first thing Dani thought of, and her eyes traced the gleaming door way, watching in horror as two more of those things entered, attracted to the screams of the injured child beneath the first monster. She moved slowly, stunned by the sight of blood, and then quickly ran over to tear the odd being away from the first child, her breathing labored as she saw that the screams had stopped and the boy was still and quiet. Dead.

Her co-worker, a stout woman with curly hair and dark skin, started screaming at the children, telling them to get into the teacher's office, but even her cries are cut off by the second monster's teeth digging into her shoulder. Dani slowly pulled her eyes away from the dead child at her feet to stare at her co-worker, and then with sudden ambition she continued calling the children towards the office, guiding them around the carnage until the remaining seven toddlers and herself were safe behind a rattling door. She found herself unable to stand after that, her mind clouded with after images and her mouth a gap with empty air. The children were sobbing, screaming, just riling up the monsters outside the door, and Dani found herself unable to calm them. She was just. . . Useless.

Two hours later and the door wasn't about to hold anymore. Dani had managed to gain some control of herself, and after calming the children slightly she began leading them towards the very large windows to the east side of the room. The windows slid open with ease, and one by one Dani lifted the children over the sill and onto the green grass outside. The door shattered after the fourth child escaped, and Dani, feeling rushed, simply tucked the remaining children under her arms and booked it.

They didn't get far, who would have expected them too? Without a plan, or even the slightest idea off what the hell was happening, the group of children were picked off one by one. Ripped right from Dani's grasp, screaming in pain as the monster devoured them. By the time they reached any other non-zombie citizens, only Dani and two children were left. Scarred beyond belief and shaking like mad, Dani was thankful to see other breathing people, and the folks quickly took in the three remaining daycare attendees, giving them a safe place to stay for a few moments, water, and plans.

The family of four Dani had stumbled upon were all planning to head out of the city, far from the carnage that filled the streets. They all assumed that open fields would be safer than crowded towns, and after gathering up supplies and sharing names, the group of seven all crowded into a white mini-van and drove.

They survived well for the first few weeks, though good luck never seemed to last around Dani, and very soon she was all alone. The entire group had been slaughtered by bandits, bandits that simply wanted their car, and Dani barely escaped with her life. She took refuge in an abandoned cemetery, and wallowed in guilt and fear for what felt like millenniums. She wandered the rotting house that stood among the stone tablets, too terrified to move passed the gates of the cemetery, finding books and notebooks to fill her time, and eventually a buzzing radio. Whispers would sometimes emanate from the black box, speaking of survivors and a place called Haven. The name itself gave her a bit of hope, and that alone was enough to inspire her once again. Dani took whatever she could find from the cemetery house, and with new ambition set off towards Haven, hoping to find safety among other survivors, and sanity among living minds.

Other:
- "Gata" means 'Cat' in Spanish (feminine). Dani acquired this nickname in her teenage years from a close friend, who often related her to a "quick, sly kitty cat".
-She's bisexual as hell.
