"When the tree leaves dance, one shall find flames. The fire's shadow will illuminate the village, and once again, tree leaves shall bud anew." These were the last words of Hiruzen Sarutobi, Konohagakure's Third Hokage before dying during the Attack on Konohagakure by Otogakure shinobi. It is these words that inspire Konoha's shinobi and kunochi to protect their village and to prosper under the banner of peace and unity....however, things have changed. The village has slowly begun to shift towards a militaristic rule, under the banner of the new Hokage, Oda Uchiha. For unknown reasons, he has declined the Shinobi Republics invitation to unite the world as a single nation. With this, growing hostile actions between the Republic and Konoha, along with several other, but smaller, individual villages, have become sparked to full on combat. With the fear of another war breaking loose, the Republic has ordered a council of Jinchuuriki to meet at the Gokage Summit in order to discuss the on going tension. However, they still have yet to find out who the Two-Tailed Jinchuuriki is, whose whereabouts are unknown to them. The meeting has begun...

The day was hot in Konoha as the sun bathed the village, clouds only blocking the sunlight for a short period of time in the wind. It was during this time that Kota was walking through the village street, who'm was tired from training for quite some time. Many people in the village knew him, considering he was one of the only few Uchiha that had begun to spring up again, aside from the Hokage and Ria Uchiha, though he was not quite related to her. Instead, he came under the Namikaze bloodline, gaining a blend of blue eyes and black hair, giving him a more distinct appearance from the rest of the Uchiha. It was during his thinking session when he bumped into a random shinobi, who'm was carrying some supplies...for an unknown reason. "D-Damn it, sorry about that!" He said, leaning down to pick up the other males things, "Are you alright?" He said apologetically, shifting the headband on his head back to it's regular position.

Meanwhile at the Gokage summit, the snow had begin to rise up quite a few inches, and the wind was blowing in a horrible manner, as if a blizzard were to arrive soon. Outside of the summit, Guard Samurai were standing put to protect the Jinchuuriki meeting that had been about to take place. The sky was grey, but the sun was out enough to just barely light up the earth.

Kai walked through the snow and braced himself against the wind as he continued his travels across the cold, windy landscape. A very small part of him was hoping that this was some sort of trap that Konoha had set for him. In the unlikely event that this was a trap he was looking forward to taking out a few Konoha shinobi. But deep in his heart he knew that it wasn't a trap. He had received a message that there was going to be some sort of meeting. He hoped that it would have something to do with the Land of fire but there was always the possibility that it wasn't.

As he continued walking, he saw a few figures in front of a large building ahead. For a moment he thought that they were ANBU from Konoha because of the distance but as he got closer he could see that they were wearing the armor of the Samurai. His guard went down as he approached the Samurai.

"Kai Yatoma." He said quietly. "I'm here for the meeting."

Kokai whistled a tune as he walked the streets of Konoha, holding the bags in his hands in a loose grip. He had just returned from the market, needing supplies for his dinner, and decided to take a stroll around the town to pass the time. He glanced at the watch on his wrist, and smiled when he saw the time.

'And still half a day left,' Kokai thought to himself. 'I just may stop by the bookstore, then the training grounds before I have Gate duty.' He rustled the bags in his left hand, hearing the cans and boxes shift together, and turned left down a side street. 'Maybe I should ask Gorou if he wants to train.' Then, with a moment of silence, he shook his head. 'No, I forgot, he is in Kiri right now.' Sighing, he surrendered himself to his walk, and closed his eyes as he took in the sounds around him.

This was a bad idea, as it would turn out, as he turned another corner. Still having his eyes closed, he walked right into another pedestrian. The bags in his hands were knocked from his grip, and cans and fruit rolled away from the collision.

"D-Damn it, sorry about that!," said the man he walked into. Glancing up after stooping to pick up his things, Kokai took in the sight of the boy's Hitai-ate. "Are you alright?"

Kokai smiled as the two picked up the items, clearing the street quickly. "Maa, I don't bruise as easily as my bananas do," he said as he picked up the beaten bunch of fruit. "Although I think we both should have been looking where we were going." Groceries back in his bags, Kokai rose to his feet. "My deepest apologies, Shinobi-san." Kokai rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.

It was hot in Aiko's home. Unbearably hot. Aiko lay sprawled on her bed, her palms and forehead sweaty even though she was hardly moving. In reality, it was probably just hot but the young girl had been slaving away doing housework the entire morning and she was boiling up. The sun blazed through the window so strong there was a small chance of Aiko getting sunburnt if she sat too close. She begun to flip through the pages of a new manga she just bought to try and take her mind off the heat but to no avail. Instead, the girl went to admire her new hitai-ate bearing the symbol of Konohagakure. The sunlight reflected off the metal, casting rays of harmless light across Aiko's room. Her thoughts were rudely interrupted by a cry in the street just outside. Aiko peered out the window and spotted a young boy and a Tokubetsu Jōnin picking up supplies that were scattered on the floor. It was that quiet Uchiha who she noticed during the genin entrance exams, that one who happened to catch her eye. He was strong, there was no denying that but they had received identical scores for physical ability at the end of the exams. Aiko observed them picking up the last of the items and the Uchiha adjusting his hitae-ate atop his head. At least this small commotion took her mind off the heat.

"No no, it was my fault, haha...!!!" He noticed his clothing, that of which Jonin would wear. "E-Excuse me, you are a Jonin, correct?" He said to him nervously, scratching the back of his hair. The thing that interested this man of being a Jonin was that Kota himself had no teacher. However, he began to wonder if this man was a Tokubetsu Jonin, silently hoping that he wasn't. "And if it's not too much trouble, what Releases do you have?" Suddenly, his face lit up as he stared up at the Jonin, a somewhat innocent and pure look. As he said this, he began to get a little too excited and flustered, awaiting for the Jonin's response.

~

The Samurai stared at the approaching Shinobi and gripped the handles on their weapons, staring at him. "You are here for the meeting, hm?", one of the samurai asked, "Then state your name and what Bijuu you contain." It seemed like this Samurai was a captain of some sort, but that wasn't important. What was important was the Jinchuuriki meeting, that and it was a blizzard outside.

Oda Uchiha

"No I said! How many times do I have to tell you I don't want to join the republic?" Oda said to his assistant. "but sir' the republic has offered many services that will help benefit our country, they even offered protection!" His assistant had told him before he was once again interrupted. "I am Oda Uchiha, Hokage and the strongest shinobi, and you think MY country needs PROTECTION? That is absurd... I command you to leave before I truly show you how I feel about this 'Republic'" Oda commanded the assistant as he turned to look out his window with his arms laid on his sides. "As you wish... sir'..." The assistant said then leaving the Hokage's room.

Shira Aburame

Shira looked at her squad. "Okay guys! Ryou and Kii! I have a meeting to go to, but I haven't heard anything about I can't bring my squad, so we are going to to the meeting as a A-Rank mission and reason why it's so high is because me being a Jinchuuriki people might be looking for me... so thus this task is slightly dangerous. I trust you two quite heavily so I have nothing to worry about yet! Well let's go!" She said as she started to lead the group into The Land of Iron to the Gokage Summit. She was always known to just jump into action so she didn't any time to get ready she just simply took her group straight into the mission. Her team eventually went up to the Gokage Summit and she told her team to get cover. She looked from the wall they were using as cover to look at the 8-tails Jinchuuriki. "It's him... Gyūki's mate, it's fine now!" She said as they got out of cover and she waited for Gyūki's vessel to finish his business with the Samurai. In the meanwhile Shira stood there chatting with his team.

Kokai made a move to continue his walk, but he was stopped when the boy continued the conversation. "No no, it was my fault, haha...!", said the boy, more than likely a Genin. "E-Excuse me, you are a Jonin, correct? And if it's not too much trouble, what Releases do you have?"

Kokai smiled; the boy sure was inquisitive for a Genin. 'I remember my youth, and I hope he'll remember his," thought Kokai. Looking back to the teen, Kokai thought he would at least follow along. "First, we should exchange pleasantries. My name is Kokai Ekirei, holder of the Hyuga bloodline, and Tokubetsu Jōnin of Konohagakure. Sadly, I am not skilled enough for Jōnin, but I hope to make that rank within the year." Thinking back to the boy's other question, Kokai rubbed his eyes. In truth, he was activating his Byakugan, scanning the area. He could see the chakra of many people, some walking the streets, but two caught his eyes almost immediately. There, the boy he was talking to, seemed to be filled to the brim with chakra, ready to burst. Another, watching from a window, practically erupting with chakra. 'Hmmm, odd.'

Kokai rubbed his protruding veins around his eyes as he let the Byakugan recede, feeling them return back under the skin. Kokai spoke again to the boy. "To answer your question, I am most studious of Wind Chakra, and I see myself as on of Konoha's strongest in the art. I dabble in Water, but it is not what I am best known for." Hoping he answered the boy's questions, Kokai thought he would begin his interrogation now.

"So, may I have the name of my inquisitor? It hardly seems kind to ask all these questions without answering some of your own." Kokai was intrigued by the Chakra he saw in the boy, and decided his lunch could wait.

It was going to be a very long day for Kii.
From the very start he'd already put himself in a bad position. He'd been a little anxious for this upcoming assignment. Sure, it wasn't too stressful of one. His team was going to a very important tactical congress with the remaining Jinchuriki. Kii had never really been told why or what for, but he automatically assumed it had to do with the strange nature of the Leaf Village. Konohagakure was strangely detaching itself from the rest of the ninja nations and was even killing ninja that were trying to figure out why. Likely, this meeting was some sort of measure that would be used to try and figure out what to do with Konoha and, unfortunately, Kii was being dragged into it becase, well, one of his team mates was a Jinchuriki.

The poor kid only managed probably 3 hours of sleep and they weren't consistent. Once he finally dragged himself from his bed, having given up on the thought of actual rest, he started packing and preparing his things around 2 o'clock in the morning. He didn't favor tools, so it was more along the lines of preparing food and non-combat related supplies like water, bedding, and a handy map. Kii knew he could depend on Ryou to be doubly prepared, being the meticulous worrywart that he was, and for Shinra to be hardly prepared at all, being the charge-in-and-plan-later sort. That left Kii as the middle guy to pack needed things that Ryou wouldn't think of, but not over pack because, well, it was certain that their needs would be met anyway. Fortunately, Kii had a couple hours in the early morning to do this. He eventually went through a few push-ups, sit ups, and stretches before going outside for a nice, cool walk.

The weather was nice in Iwagakure. The cool mountain air was so easy to breathe in. Kii made sure to take advantage of every thing he saw in the village on his walk. The park he liked to eat lunch at, the training fields he spent hours at, the library he studied his life away in and, of course, he made sure to get a good look at the orphanage where he was raised and the academy where he graduated at. They were all important places to him and, considering the nature of the mission that he was going on, he wanted to make sure he could at least see all these places and bask in the memories one more time just in case anything went wrong.

Returning home he'd shower, recheck his pack, then go to the meeting place. Kii made sure to dress prepared for the other country. He wasn't one to get cold easy, but he still made sure to wear long, slimming pants with leather padding on the legs, a black, sleeveless shirt with a short leather chest plate, which fortunately had metal plates to keep someone from stabbing him in the back and the chest. The vest ended a two inches passed his chest line. He had on black gloves, which were thin and slim as to not impact his fists, and he wore a thin ash gray colored mantle to block out any winds he was unlucky enough to meet with. It was hooded, to his chins, and was cheap so he could toss it without care or worry.

Having plenty of free time and absolutely zero personal hobbies, Kii was there early as usual. He was always really early. He'd wait for his team, they'd make their last minute preventative checks, then they'd be off to the Land of Iron.

~~~
The Land of Iron was far. Worse was that it was cold! The temperature drop at first steadily dropped, however when they came close to the country's borders it dropped by dozens of degrees. Snow! There was actual snow! Sure snow wasn't that rare in Iwagakure, however there was so much and it was so cold here! It was fortunate that Kii dressed prepared. When the cold really came around and the snow began to come to color the ground Kii didn't miss the chance to warn Ryou about not freezing. Though, it mostly sounded like a joke when he said it, Kii was pretty serious. A frozen-solid Ryou wasn't on his list of souvenirs that he wanted to bring back.
"Okay guys! Ryou and Kii! I have a meeting to go to, but I haven't heard anything about I can't bring my squad, so we are going to to the meeting as a A-Rank mission
A Rank mission. The words sent a shiver down Kii's spine. The highest rank mission Kii had ever done was a D-Rank mission. The most difficult of a mission he'd dealt with was digging trenches in a forest to circumvent water and another mission to carry 25 lb materials across the town. He'd never had to fight anyone to the death or had to dance around life threatening ninja traps. He was a pretty typical Genin. In terms of ninjutsu, Ryou was his better, and in terms of raw power, naturally, Shinra had the advantage. He as probably the weakest link here, despite being a better taijutsu fighter than both of them combined...But they could both probably beat him in a real fight. They probably weren't all that worried about the fact that they were going to a super dangerous mission with a bunch of other monster Bijuu in which the leaf village could snipe the lot of them off...At all. Being reminded that this was an excruciating dangerous mission made Kii think about all the things he should have stopped and seen while back at the village. He should have said goodbye to a few people and probably should have brought different materials...Yeah. He was worrying over this. His gaze fell to the snow covered ground as he started to seriously consider the nature of this mission.
Clenching his fist, closing his eyes, he realized that he had to man up! He was the oldest here! Even if the other two were more prepared than he was, he needed to make sure he could keep the group together in a crisis and to ensure that he, above the other two, could keep a level head. As such, he swallowed down all the panic and anxiety, and looked up with a heavy huff from his nose. He dawned an unfettered poker face, one that didn't show an ounce of his fears, and looked after Shira.
"No need to be so formal, Shira. We aren't here just for decorations. We will beat up anyone that even looks at you funny," Serious, intense and straight to the point as usual. Kii was the sort to say what needed to be said and didn't bother joking or exaggerating. As such, his tone was pretty clear-cut and could be a little intimidating. It was matched by a pair of cold, unwavering, resolute eyes that really complimented his treat to beat up someone that looked at Shira funny. It was hard to forget that Kii was the sort of kid that had the almost no immaturity personality wise and took everything with caution.
~~~

Finding cover with Shira and Ryou, Kii clenched his fists. Hearing what Shira said didn't make him feel all that great either. And what if the Hachibi was in a bad mood today and decided to kill off some Iwagakure non-important members, like Ryou and himself? Kii had to be prepared for that. He was young, but he realized that this mission was an A-Rank because there was the possibility of death and a fight. He had to be ready. Ready to even fight a monster that could destroy half a city all on its own.

The tension eased as Shira claimed it was alright. Did Shira know the Hachibi? What did 'It's him' mean? It was almost like they were familiar with each other and...Strangely, that made Kii a little uncomfortable. Apparently, Shira recognized the Jinchuriki of the Hachibi and even said that it was alright to reveal themselves in the Hachibi's presence. Why didn't she know the Hachibi that well? Kii didn't really like that he knew nothing about that Jinchuriki, and Shira seemed practically friends with them already.

"Do you know that ninja?" Kii asked, serious as always. Kii's eyes wandered over by the entrance and the samurai. Samurai were supposed to be very strong, even without ninjutsu. But, should a Jinchuriki go crazy even they would just be cannon fodder. Really didn't ease Kii's worries at all, but he kept them covered and just looked as dangerous as the white haired, eagle eyed, explosive brute always was, "You can't let your guard down around Jinchuriki..." Kii said, a little careless considering Shira was one, but it was true. They were strong and their personalities usually unstable, thus they could go crazy and they'd be very difficult to console. Pretending they were a typical, ordinary, wonderful ninja was dangerous in this situation in which so many nations were all in one place under mysterious pretenses. "I don't really like this...We should make sure we have an escape plan just in case."

Ryou was going to be prepared! Both for himself and... Shira. He could definitely count on Kii to remember some odds-and-ends Ryou would surely over think, but Shira...Well, his teammate was a wonderful, ambitious person that Ryou couldn't too strongly depend on for things such as thinking. So, he stuffed his pack full of water bottles, questionable food his mother had made, first aid kits, extra weapons, sleeping bags, extra clothing, and even a box of matched just in case. He circled his room, pondering which of his lovely friends he should bring along on this adventure and eventually settled on his favorite. Plucking the stuffed zombie off his pillow, Ryou stuffed him all the way to the bottom of his pack.

Finally, Ryou threw off his pajamas and put on some appropriate clothing. He put on some slim, black pants, a gray muscle tank, and a navy workout jacket with black pipping. It was always easier to take off extra clothing if he got hot than it was to find extra clothing if he got cold. And now Ryou was totally ready! He had gotten an amazing ten hours of sleep, dreamed of zombies, and even had indulged in a suspicious but nutritious breakfast his parents had whipped up. Although even that couldn't ruin his mood. There wasn't anything more fun than going on a mission with his team.

~~~
Freezing. Ryou was pretty sure he could feel his blood start to freezer over. He laughed a little at Kii's warning, but it was more nervous than anything. Ryou hadn't even thought about freezing! He could be totally end up as a frozen statue and he wasn't one-hundred percent sure he could come back for that. Maybe? Gosh, he was going to hope. "Well, if I stop moving you'll know what happened~" He tried to joke, but this was freaking serious. He needed to remember to not turn into water because... Because he didn't really want to find out what would happen if he turned into an ice cube.
"Hey, Shira-chan," Ryou started nicely. "You're awesome and stuff. Just a little warning next time about dangerous missions and freezing temperatures?" He said, friendly. Ryou knew how Shira was- everyone knew. She got an idea in her head and just had to do it. So, all he was trying to do was remind her that communication about stuff like this was pretty important.
Why was Kii suggesting beating people up? "But first," Ryou insisted. "We'll have a very peaceful conversation about how discrimination is wrong~" Sometimes people didn't even realize they were discriminating. And, other times, people were just intimidated by how powerful someone like Shira could be. "After all, they're all just intimidated by your power~" Because Shira was awesome. She could kick butt and take names. You know, as long as her impulsiveness didn't get in the way..?
~~~

Ryou looked towards Kii a little sternly, as if he could tell all Kii was thinking about the nice dirt bed he might be sleeping in tonight. "What was it you were saying about discrimination..?" He whispered, smiling slightly. But he really could understand. If was different when it was someone you cared about then someone who would want to skin them alive for all they knew.

But if Shira knew him and said he was alright, Ryou was trust her. Although an escape route did sound like a good plan- just in case.

"Oh, right, I'm sorry for that. I just get a little bit ahead of myself, heh! Nice to meet you Kokai-san, I'm Kota of the Uchiha clan, genin rank!" The smile on Kota's face looked as if it was even bigger than the one before; immediately he yelled out "I know you're a Tokubetsu Jonin....but....please train me in Wind Release!" He bowed down as far as he could, which looked somewhat comical in a way, and put his hands up to pray. "I'm lacking in ninjutsu and all I have to make up for it is my kenjutsu..." He showed the blade on his side, which was a Ninjato. Though he was not the best at Kenjutsu, he still had to rely heavily on it. "I promise I'll do anything if you let me learn Wind Release under your teachings!"

From something like this, it might have looked like a funny little act performance in the middle of the street, since people were walking back and fourth and keeping a distance around the two shinobi, some even laughing silently. He then looked up at the man, awaiting his response.

The climate in here was the only one in the whole world which made Daisuke reconsider his distaste regarding his village's intense climate. Apparently he prefered the ever lasting sun opposed to such cold place. Hugging himself, the boy moved slowly through the snow, wrapping his cloak a bit tighter around himself, each step took certain physical effort. If I fought in here, I'd be in absolute disadvantage. The Jinchuuriki thought to himself, approaching a samurai guard, who quickly extended his blade in front of the boy. Thinking about it, there was probably no safer place in the world other than here, which made him feel safe. No one would dare attack a place like this, would they? Still, with the recent events, there was no way one couldn't feel at least a little but uneasy when travelling.

"Daisuke Fukui, Jinchuuriki of the Ichibi." He stated, nodding his head towards the samurai.

"You are here for the meeting, hm?", one of the samurai asked, "Then state your name and what Bijuu you contain."

Kai nodded. It was a simple request but he felt a bit uneasy having to repeat himself. It made him feel as if he was being set up for something.

"As I said. My name is Kai Yatoma, formally of the Hidden Leaf Vilalge. And the Bijuu I contain is Gyuki, or the Eight tails if you prefer."

He looked over the samurai guards. "Might I ask why I was asked to come here?" He asked.

"Oh, right, I'm sorry for that. I just get a little bit ahead of myself, heh! Nice to meet you Kokai-san, I'm Kota of the Uchiha clan, genin rank!" The boy was friendly, a trait not common among Uchiha, and it was a pleasant surprise. "I know you're a Tokubetsu Jonin....but....please train me in Wind Release!" Kota bowed before Kokai, a gesture of humility, and pleaded with him. "I'm lacking in ninjutsu and all I have to make up for it is my Kenjutsu..."

Kokai looked at the blade by the boy's side, skeptical of the proceedings. The two just met, and already the boy was asking for knowledge. Kokai would have been offended, had he not have been interested in the boy's chakra. 'Someone with such untapped power could be a great friend,' Kokai thought, 'or a mortal enemy.'

Kokai stood in the street, watching the boy for some time. After around a minute, Kokai let his curiosity make his decision. "Kota. If you truly wish to learn what I have bled to learn, what I have wielded to kill with, and what may be my end, I will humor you." Kokai was done being friendly, taking on his Shinobi attitude. "If you truly wish this, you are to meet me in the forest outside Konoha in an hour. It is there we may practice safely, and you may begin your studies if you pass my test." Kokai walked around the boy, not willing to wait for an answer. If the boy was serious, Kokai would take the time to teach him to be stronger. After all, it seems the boy was genuine in learning. Continued his walk to his lonely apartment, to take some time and think.

Shira

Shira looked at her team. "Don't worry about any of the Jinchuuriki. They are like bees, you don't mess with them and they won't mess with you, otherwise they help out the environment and those who are living, like me!" She said grinning. She loved making statement relating with bugs. She looked at Ryou. "i'll keep that in mind, sorry for not giving a heads up!" She said. She then felt the blizzard getting stronger. "Brrrrr even I'm starting to be affected by this cold...." She stated. She walked up to the samurai leader. "I know I know, don't have t mention it... Name's Shira Aburame and I am the vessel of Chomei, the 7-tails... and this is my squad from Iwagakura. I demand to go inside please as I failed to give my teammates protection from this blizzard so hypothermia would be something you guys don't want so please let us in!" Shira said in a fast pacing that was samewhat hard to understand.

"Today is a discussion of the Konoha Incidents, you may all proceed into the Summit. Please take your seats once you have arrived, our General will come in to talk to you shortly about the situation." The Samurai then moved out of the way of the Jinchuuriki's, standing at attention in order to honor them all. At that moment, the giant doors had opened and it was safe to pass.

Kota stared at Kokai, listening to his words. He was stunned a little from the change of personality, but he remained listening. When he began to walk off, Kota watched silently, about to say something, but remained quietly. Suddenly he called out, "I-I will! I'll prove to you that I can pass your test!" He watched Kokai walk off and then looked around, sighing out quietly. Just then, he noticed the Uzumaki girl...whose name he forgot. He then called out to her, "Hey, you with the red hair! I remember you from the Academy! Hey!" He ran up to her, waving.

Kii looked over at Ryou when he mentioned discrimination.
Right. I need to watch my words, He thought, offering an acknowledging nod to Ryou confirming that he got the message. They weren't here to cause trouble. They weren't here to try and kill anyone. They were here as representations of their village and as Shira herself. They had to at least attempt to show some nobility. When Ryou agreed with the escape plan Kii looked over at Shira next, wanting her opinion on the matter. She, as pleasant as usual, went on a sugarcoated analogy on why they were all in good hands.

Still, a bee sting can kill. One sting can attract more bees to go on a rampage and sting every living thing around. Kii thought in argument, but he didn't say it aloud. He figured bees were a pretty dangerous insect and they were easily provoked. It is because they are so easily provoked that they were so feared. Comparing the Jinchuriki to bees really didn't make Kii feel any better at all.

Shira then, pretty boldly, made her way over to the Samurai just after another person that went in. She even...Demanded to go inside.
This wasn't going to end as perfectly as Kii hoped, would it? Oh well. She had a right to go inside and, hopefully, the Samurai would take her arrogance in humor considering that she was a young girl and the handler of a absurdly powerful Bijuu. Getting in was a breeze after that. Kii could tell the Samurai were biting their tongues as they let us inside. They were really tense, Kii realized. That wasn't a good thing.

Inside the three of the ninja were directed to a meeting room with the others. There was someone in there that would explain what was going on to them. Just like Kii first assumed it did have to deal with Konoha. Kii stayed close to Shira, eyeing the other Jinchuriki inside. It was definitely intimidating to be in a room with so many potential powers, but Kii felt a little more confident here in an inclosed space. Thing about explosions was that they were dramatically more devastating in something like a sealed room where escaping their radius was all the more difficult. Kii made a battle plan. If one of them attacked, he'd retort with a quick attack to blow them away then focus on blasting through the walls so Shira and Ryou could get out. Tactically, Kii imagined killing every person in this room in self defense. He started playing scenarios in his head and how he'd escape them by violently devastating his opposition. His brutal imagination was probably the opposite of Ryou, who would likely think the best of these Jinchuriki where Kii was already assuming the worst case scenario.

When asked to take a seat Kii would remain standing, a foot or so behind wherever Shira would sit.

"We will have a code word," Kii would whisper. He looked at Shira, those serious eyes expecting her to consider these Jinchuriki as more than just busy bees. He didn't mind who thought of the code word, but once it was said they would all fight and flee. The code word would be a signal to retreat at the first sign of danger before the enemy realized that they were about to jet.

Ryou's eyes widened in alarm as Shira walked right up to the samurai and asked to be allowed inside. "Shira, wait-" But it was too late. Ryou was really going to need to get a teammate leash for her or something. Probably one with a zombie design. It wasn't like Ryou didn't trust Shira's judgement, but this was a little... if-y. He didn't want her to get hurt, and what if they were all turned away and suffered hypothermia? Ryou followed after Shira and smiled towards the samurai. "Please," He repeated because that magic word could really turn the situation around. Thankfully, the samurai allowed them to enter and he happily followed behind Shira. Any place was better than outside.

There were a lot of jinchuriki inside which meant that this meeting was serious. There wasn't going to be any jokes or smiles or laughter. Ryou was sure this was going to be a straight-to-the-point meeting and soon they'd all be ushered out. Kii.. Sometimes Ryou just wasn't sure what Kii was capable of. Firmly, Ryou placed his hand on Kii's shoulder. "Relax." He said, smiling. "We're all on the same side, remember?" The Republic. They were all apart of the Republic! Sure, the villages were still separated but they were still one. Except maybe not for Konoha..? Konoha's situation was a little confusing and it didn't help that attempts of communications weren't really going through.

Wherever Shira would sit, Ryou would plop into the seat next to her. Kii didn't seem to be wanting to sit down anytime soon but Ryou wasn't going to push the subject. "Can the code word be zombies?" Ryou suggested, finding this situation actually kinda cool. They were here in a room full of some of the most powerful people in the Republic attending a meeting gennin typically never attended!

It turned out for Aiko that it was actually cooler outside than it was inside her oven of a house so she was taking a nice stroll, soaking up the sunlight. She fiddled with the hitae-ate tied around her wrist, twisting it back and forth until she had to re-tie it (again). It had become a bad habit, the fiddling. It came hand-in-hand with fidgeting, meaning Aiko had an inability to sit still for more than thirty seconds without changing positions or standing up. It was time to buy groceries, specifically vegetables, to make a stew for the night's dinner. Knowing how hot it was in her home, Aiko wouldn't have been surprised if the vegetables cooked themselves!

A group of young academy students ran past, one of whom she recognised as her cousin - a promising kid with extraordinary talents for his age. They playfully pushed and shoved eachother through the crowd, knocking over a crate of apples in their wake. Aiko offered to help pick them up for the store owner, only if she let her buy them at half the original price.

The merchant was happy and so was Aiko, who walked away with a basket full of bruised apples. She was busy thinking about the types of pie she could make with a crate of bruised apples when she heard a loud voice yell "Hey, you with the red hair!" behind her. A vein pulsated in Aiko's forehead and she swivelled on her heels at the source of the voice.

"Uchiha! Who do you think you're calling "with the red hair"?! Do you have any manners?" She shouted, fists clenched. She hated being acknowledged for her hair. Hated.

Kai simply walked past the samurai guards without saying another word. But as he took his seat and looked around he saw something that made his blood boil and his heart began to race. Adrenaline began to pump through his system.

Konoha Shinobi.

His eyes narrowed and he was tempted to go for his kunai knives but he didn't. He wouldn't start trouble this time but if the ninja from Konoha started anything he would take it upon himself to make sure they didn't cause trouble ever again.

Try something...I dare you. He thought.
