See, my problem is that I'm so amazingly badass that all of my white blood cells are afraid of me and don't do much. All of the sicknesses are afraid too, but unfortunately they try to hide inside my body.

Between that post and now, I actually learned that.
Still. People die every day and one day all of us will. Sure I'll miss him but no more than anyone else I didn't know.

I only cried when two other celebrities died. They were Steve Irwin and Paul Walker. Now Robin Williams...

That might be true, but given how attached my childhood was to Robin Williams, it carries more of an effect than just any other person.

An example would be my dad who passed away when I was younger. I didn't have a good relationship with him and I didn't know him for a majority of my life, so I didn't really feel anything when I found out he passed away.

As for Robin Williams, whose movies I've watched since I was that young and have been for a long time, whose movies that were actually able to carry me through stress and depression that I've coped with for years, that does have an effect on me.

I guess with Robin Williams, he was a household name and beloved for his timeless movies. I loved almost everything he was in and he was hilarious. Yes, he's just a celebrity who we didn't know personally but he had been an icon of a generation. Seeing him die in such a sad way strikes a cord in most people's hearts.

Its kinda like how Michael Jackson died. He didn't commit suicide but he was the Michael Jackson. Those who loved his work were devasted from his loss. Sam with Whitney Houston. Many people didn't know them personally but their fans still heavily mourned for their loss.

I think with Robin Williams its just no one saw it coming. Yes, he's been trying to get back in the game and his latest work hadn't been as amazing as Hook or Jumanji, but to see a well-known comedian go out like that is shocking.

It's just a reminder of something that happened a year ago for me, mostly. I mean, I loved his work but I didn't know a lot about him.
It's kind of a painful reminder that you don't know people as well as you should.
