Kiara continued smirking as the Devil looked on in shock. "What's the matter? Surprised that a travelers managed to survive this long?" She tossed the black blade right back at him. Shaken out of his stunned silence, Webster caught the sword in midair. Kiara jumped back, heading towards Vincent and the sleeping Mary. "Ok. . .so, theory tested." She gave him a shaky thumbs up and a half grin. "What? Don't look so surprised, alright? You weren't the one who got impaled by a sword just now. . ."
She looked back to see Webster now. He was. . .not happy. A negative aura began to surround him, making the air seem thick. Thick and boiling, and hot, yes, hot with hatred and anger. The Devil's eye gleamed a dark crimson, and he began to walk calmly to the travelers before them.
"I. . .will. . .kill you."
Kiara tensed up. "Someone's serious," she muttered. And why wouldn't he be? They had just outwitted the Devil himself. Of course he was pissed. Noticing his missing eye, Kiara directed Vincent's gaze over to the one still intact. "I guess Mary scratched the other one out. When we were fighting, I noticed that he had gotten alot slower and less aggressive with his attacks. Think that's the source of his power?"
Well, she was right in her first theory. Maybe she was right in this one as well.
"Vincent, listen close alright? I got another plan, but this one is more risky. I'm gonna dual with Webster and when you find an opening, I want you to shoot his eye. Got it?" There was a catch however. The sound of Vincent's gunshot would no doubt startle Mary back into the waking world. Once that happened, there was no telling if Death would fall asleep again. If anything, they'd have to deal with both her and Webster. All these thoughts and more coursed through Kiara's head as she thought it over.
"We have one chance. We have to make this count."
