Personality:
☬ An impulsive and stubborn pessimist whose vengeful tendencies more than often get the best of him, revealing his sadistic nature. He had been known by others to have been compassionate and outright kindhearted to others, once said to have been the embodiment of vigor and voice of extravagance within the Shepherds. Though he remains steadfast in his loyalties to his affiliation, he has no intention on opening himself to others; his recent experiences have been more than enough to convince him that trust is no longer a given factor.

Biography:
☬ Born in the Valmese state of Chon'sin, Zaino was the younger brother of Xanxus by a six year difference. Their father, a retired officer in the military, was called back into service to defend his country from the impending invasion force of Ylisse, and his mother was a middle-class apothecary. Wanting them to be as far away from the conflict as they possibly could be and hoping that they could live peaceful lives, his father smuggled them onto a cargo ship embarking for Regna Ferox, located on the opposite continent. Though he was successful in preserving his family's life, his father would be among the many casualties after suffering defeat at the hands of the Shepherds under Prince Chrom's command.

Zaino, as a child, always fought with his elder brother and held competitions on who was better at what, with Xanxus being ever the victor. A day before his seventh birthday, however, Xanxus disappeared and was never seen again by them for thirteen years. In three more years, his mother would send Zaino off to receive the tutelage from a family acquaintance and the right-hand man of the then-West Khan, Lon'qu. The swordsman trained the boy over the course of five years, allowing Zaino to become Lon'qu's successor and claim victory for the West during the Khans' champion battles over the inheritance of the country. Not much time after his sixteenth birthday, he joined the Shepherds under his master's recommendations, and over the next four years, became one of the faction's prominent members.

All seemed well for him, until Xanxus reappeared in Zaino's life, as his enemy.

Quirk:
Is clumsy with anything that is not a sword or item with a blade.

Strengths:
Unnaturally agile, and extremely perceptive of his surroundings.

Weaknesses:
☬ His inability to trust people (including his own allies) more than often causes friction between himself and others. He is also constantly grieving over the past, and remains deeply mired by those old wounds. His negative outlook on society and the world itself is enough to label him as a consummate pessimist.

Likes:
Spilling the blood of his enemies.

Dislikes:
☬ Xanxus, Darrian, traitors and dishonesty, knights, people who look down on others, spiders, and many, many more.

Romantic Interest:
☬ Zaino had a number of romantic relationships prior, but after everything, it'll take consistent effort to break his shell.
