Alright so to give you folks a quick rundown for my absence. First and foremost (the main reason I disappeared at first) is that I simply needed to get out of Ik's head a little bit. I am not sure if it is the same for the rest of you, though I presume that it is, but when I create a character and especially when I write as them, they become part of me. With Iktomi in my head so often...well I will be honest it was messing me up more than I should have. So that is why I initially left/took a break. After that trying to graduate, graduating, etc etc have kept me too busy to return. So I apologize.

I would like to say that currently Iktomi is still unconscious. The fight at the skymall took a lot out of him, and he will be completely out of it for a while. In the mean time I will be using Hali as my main character. If you don't remember she is Ik's right hand, despite not having a kage.

I hate to be that guy but how would night vision help you distinguish shadows from regular darkness? Or do you just put it down to kage magic stuff (as I would do)? :P

EDIT: I don't know much about the science of night-vision so if it does just make sense then fair enough

Fuck, hold up thats a good point... how would night vision make you able to see shadows? Like, isn't the point of night vision to filter out the dark? And since shadow is technically just the absence of light, I mean... let's just pretend that... shhhh... it'll all be over soon.

Night-vision makes you more sensitive to what little light there is, allowing you to distinguish the various shades of dark. This makes it ideal for detecting things which hide in shadows, as unless the light intensity (or lack there-of) of Ishigo is exactly the same as the shadow he is hiding in then he can be spotted. Normally, slight discrepancies would not be significant, as ordinary eyes are only well-adjusted for a particular range of intensities at any given time so to most people Ishigo would easily be invisible, but with magic-assisted night vision there is no such disadvantage of needing to wait for eyes to adjust and then only poorly.
