Instead of what she is wearing in this photo, she will be wearing a high school’s typical white and navy blue P.E. uniform with a pair of white sneakers.
Soul Branch: Independent
Soul/Cursed weapon: None.
Cursed Equipment: None.
Soul Radiance: Melissa’s soul is most in touch with the element of fire, she’s not fully capable of bringing out the full element; only being able to bring out a reddish aura around whatever she concentrates it to be on. This aura gives her incredible strength to what it’s around, although it can be strong, it can only be as strong as her concentration lets it to be; her feelings cannot waver or change during the time of activation because the aura would run down and she would go back to her average state.
Personality: Melissa’s soul took on more of her personality before death rather than in her prime in life. She is a very motivated and self-driven girl; she strives to finish what she has already set in her mind to do. She is kindhearted and supportive to other people; she is usually in high spirits.
History: Melissa was an average high school student who wasn’t well known and only had few friends she would call close. She was a part of the schools track team, all of her teammates knew her, but you couldn’t say they were her friends. Running was a good hobby of hers; it kept her mind and body in control, it made her feel at ease. ---During tryouts the participants were to run a few laps around the track and the coach would accept a set amount of students to join the track team, from the first to sixth would make the team. Melissa made the team placing in 6th, the gap between her and the person in 5th was substantial. During Practice Melissa would constantly get last place in her team, slightly, but hardly noticeably getting a better time. She could smile and congratulate her teammates on the hard work they’ve put in just to have it returned with crude remarks about how terrible she was compared to the others. For the moment, she would brush the comments away with just a smile at her teammates and continued to root for them in their races. She kept those cold harsh comments inside until one day her coach announced that there was an important upcoming competition coming up, sparking something within her to want show everyone on the team that she wasn’t worthless. She decided to get started as soon as she got home seeing as the competition was a little less than three weeks away.
Every day and night for hours when she’d get back from school she would run around her neighborhood a couple times, do leg exercises and jump rope to get herself prepared. She made this her routine every day, but in the doing of her training, she didn’t realize that she was neglecting her health and not eating or drinking correctly. She was too focused on the idea of showing everyone that she could win it for them this time, that she wouldn’t be in last place this time around. Her friends and family asked her to take breaks now and again, but she paid no mind to them, only stopping when her body couldn’t take any more for the day. She would constantly get strong aches in her chest after exercising but they didn’t last too long so she dismissed it.
It was a few days away from the competition and Melissa was looking sickeningly pale and thinner than what she looked like before she started training. She didn’t notice anything wrong with her, but looked at herself in fulfillment since her running time had decreased by a huge rate. --- She arrived at school with her teammates for “Before the Big Race” practice and she was ready to show everyone how much she improved. This time everyone looked at her differently given her new pale appearance and figure; she paid no mind to them as she eventually grew numb to their looks and began to stretch before the run. Her chest pains were becoming more frequent and growing longer, she was getting into her running position in the back behind everyone ----- her eyes widened-- the chest pain was back again, she could hardly breathe without being in pain. She collapsed to the floor before she could run and show them what her hard work had done.
What is your favorite part about RPing: I was peer pressured by a certain someone.
